My wife and I were fortunate enough to be granted our dream wedding and a good part of that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the excellent staff, service, and pricing o...
f the most wonderful venue, Pat’s 30 Acres! Your contacts will be Dan and Brett and right out of the gate you can tell their experience and willingness to help can’t be surpassed no one. The food was outstanding we did a country BBQ theme ribs, smoked brisket, Mac & cheese you know delicious comfort foods and I can’t tell you how many compliments we received on those delicious dishes they cook on premises. Our ceremony was also at Pat’s it could not have been any more perfect, they have a handmade wooden arch right on the edge of their lake to create the perfect Fall back drop; a beautiful mix of orange, yellow, brown and green set on the lake can be a dream come true for any couple wishing to have a rustic wedding sure was for us! My wife and I aren’t millionaires and Pats helped us stick with our budget and recommended so many places that could help us save, with a great atmosphere, service, and food you can’t go wrong with Pat’s 30 Acres!
Our wedding at Pat's 30 acres was EXACTLY what we were hoping for. From start to finish Brett and Dan went above and beyond to accommodate us. This venue is very unique. A beautifu...
l setting with a lake, large grass area, roofed pavilion two seperate bars, and a commercial kitchen area. You MUST do everything yourself as this is a big DIY project. Pat's is a labor of love and what you put into it decorating wise will pay off immensely. Cleanup is on you also. Remember these people have family's and jobs outside of Pat's. These men and women including some of their family members who are there the day of the wedding all VOULUNTEER their time to help make your day run smoothly and to keep everything clean. Brett is in charge of food and menu. We had an eclectic mix of southern brunch food for dinner. Between the omelette station, to the chicken and waffles and mac and cheese, even the brisket... everyone kept coming back for seconds and every thirds! He truly will give you whatever you want. Dan, is the man behind the scenes. He will keep an eye out to make sure everything and everyone is happy and taken care of. To the kind men at pats, we cannot thank you enough for giving us the best day ever!
I had my wedding at Pats 30 Acres Oct 2016. This venue is 100% DIY. It has a beautiful bare bones pavilion space on the small lake with catering onsite. I am a very crafty girl so ...
this was a dream for me. It was A LOT of work. The men who run the pavilion space are blue collar volunteer workers. You will be required to move every picnic table and hang every light so rally your friends or hire a hand. Working with the staff over the year was really laid back. They let me crash a few weddings that were there the summer before so that we could taste the food and see the space set up. Brett the chef was lovely and cooks the best food. He allows you to be creative with the selection and he stays in the budget you need. We were only required to put a small deposit down to hold the date and he was flexible with all the little things I wanted to bring in .. fire pits, lanterns etc.. My guests are from NJ and they are use to big fancy ballroom style weddings. I was nervous about the rustic charm not being up to par BUT everyone had a BLAST and for the most part the night went smoothly.
Now.. The only reason I gave Pat's 4 stars and not 5 is because on the day of my wedding Brett was unable to work the full night and he left one of his guys Dan in charge. My wedding planner was frazzled the day of because we had some rain and things needed to be hung like the walls of the tent and the chairs needed to be moved from outside to inside last minute. We wern't prepared for this and she called upon Dan to help. Dan called me on my wedding day while I was getting ready and made it very clear how upset he was to have to leave his sons baseball game to help. By the end of the night Dan is staring me down from the kitchen and giving me some really bad vibes. I walked over to him and he started yelling at me about $ and saying that I was suposeto to pay the bill that night. Mind you Dan dosn't deal with $ and I talked with only Brett about this. I was really taken back. It was my wedding night after all and everything seemed to be going great. The staff was lovely and helpful and my guests were having a blast. I explained that I would square up tomorrow when I came back to clean up the $1000.00 of decorations that I was leaving behind and I couldn't believe this was a conversation he was having with me on my wedding day at my party. TOTALLY EMBARRASSING!!! Mind you, I am a makeup artist and work with Brides all the time. This was sooo unprofessional. He even went so far to ask my DJ to shut the party down an hour early :/ I was furious and this turn of events really put a damper on my night. The party didn't end early and the guests wern't the wiser but I am very disappointed that I had this feeling at the end of the most EXPENSIVE PARTY WE EVER THREW lol Not the mention that Its suposeto be the most important memorable day of our life. Like really Dan Mason! Thanks for trying to ruin my wedding night.
I guess the point of all this is that if you want to save a few dollars and have a super chill DIY wedding with great food and in beautiful venue Pats should be highly considered. Just know that you are not going to get the "wedding" quality of professionalism and customer service that the money will buy you at a typical catering hall.
