Patty Cakes

myself, fiance and mom went. They give you slices of cake of their most popular, but if you have others you want to try request ahead of time, as well as samples of all the fillings so you can mix and match and try as you wish. Everything was excellent. Then we had an idea what we wanted it to look like and combined it with the look of a sample they had on display in the shop. We got a 4-tier cake and had each layer as a different cake and filling. They were great to work with and followed up with you before the event to make sure everything was good. They travelled from Highland to Soulard for us for a reasonable fee and it looked marvelous! We also had a lot of compliments on the cake itself. They were very reasonable price wise and totally worth it. The only downside is I was so caught up that night I never got to have a piece myself!

ling won me over, I knew I had to have it! Their cake is amazing, they go over every detail with you and made my dream cake a reality! I ordered enough cake to have about 10 servings more than guests and only came home with one slice! They couldn't cut it fast enough and it was gone in minutes! Pricing was incredibly reasonable (these other reviews are way off base) especially for such a well known and established bakery. The other vendors that come up on the search are charging $1.00 more + per slice than Patty Cakes! The only places I found cheaper are department/grocery stores (i.e. Walmart, Schnucks) but were nowhere near comparable in quality. Do your homework!

I got a call the morning of the wedding saying that she had another bridal emergency and may or may not make it at the time she told us she would... talk about nerve wrecking. Overall, the cake and cupcakes were beautiful and delicious... there were only two left when the night was over! The price is high, but you get what you pay for.

ough, but I was wrong. They have so many interesting cakes and fillings to try, and they are very friendly. They worked with us on getting the design we wanted and every detail to be exact, and it was. It's a little far, pick-up wasn't a bit problem but free delivery would be awesome.

stained glass design in our cake and they were more than willing to brainstorm ideas on how to do that. They helped us design a beautiful wedding cake and we got nothing but rave reviews about the taste of the cake. The staff is very professional and knows what they are doing. They are also reasonably priced considering the quality of their cakes. I highly recommend Patty Cakes!

ed all of my guests (which is not what we had agreed on!) They didn't even ATTEMPT to match the color swatch that I drove 1.5 hours to take to them. They just used a generic color, which was not similar to what I brought to them. Yes, the cake is delicious, but you will pay for it, way over priced, and they are not friendly and willing to help make this cake be the most special cake you have ever had! Very disappointed with the service, would NOT recommend!

filling, chocolate with peanut butter filling, butter pecan with carmel filling and red velvet. Each layer was better than the next! I had more people compliment our cake than anything else at the wedding. We had left over cake and ate it several days later and it was just as moist as at the wedding. Not only was the cake good, it was also beautiful! Patty Cakes took my design and made it so much prettier than I would have ever imagined, and Patty was wonderful to work with!

iful. The small detail on it was amazing and the flowers brought by my florist were places beautifully on by Patty. Although the cake looked awesome, we did encounter one problem with this vendor. When we placed out order, we told them that we needed cake for 250 people. There were 220 people at my wedding and we ran out of cake! I didn't even get a piece of my own wedding cake (besides the small piece that my husband and I fed each other). Also, when my mom checked in with the caterer who was cutting it, the caterer said it was very crumbly and was having trouble with the pieces staying together. After the wedding, my mom called Patty Cakes and told them about the situation. They did make another cake that would feed about 30 people (just white cake with white icing). But when we ate it, I thought that it was very crumbly too and the icing was a sugary icing and not creamy. It did not taste like the cake that we had sampled when we were checking them out before the wedding. I'm not sure if this was just a fluke, but I was not really happy for what we paid...about $600. On the positive, the cake was gorgeous. But I think people always remember how it tasted, not how it looked!

. The cake was delicious but not nearly as good upon delivery. On top of it our bottom layer was not the flavor or filling as requested and once my mother brought it up to them (while we were on our honeymoon) they made her basically sound like she was stupid and told her "we never make mistakes". Very hard to believe unless the person who said that stacked the cakes herself which she did not. Im thinking that now that the owner is on TLC she hasnt a clue as to how the customer service is while she is gone. Then again, she was just as snippy in her email to me when I let her know my concern. Our order ws in for over a year, couldnt get it right and after the amount of money spent they couldnt at least be decent about it, instead they were hateful. I should have known from the first meeting to go somewhere else where people are pleasant and appreciate your business still!
