Paul Francis Photography

nderrated aspects of photographer selection, in my opinion, is EQ and reading the room. Paul is just fantastic. He made me and my husband feel so comfortable across every situation. We both felt awkward going into the engagement shoot and Paul made us feel so comfortable. I also was very worried about the photographer 'being visible or disruptive' during the reception - Paul was silent and invisible the entire day. Somehow, he still managed to capture the most amazing dance floor pictures. I truly cannot speak more highly of the experience and the quality of our entire interaction with Paul.

he put us at ease, was extremely efficient, and captured the most incredible moments - both candid and portraits. My father-in-law is still talking about how he managed to run group portraits with such efficiency, finishing just before the incoming rain arrived! If we could give Paul more stars, we would!

he saw our vision + was exactly what we were looking for. Prior to the wedding, we planned out the photo spots/schedule together and he gave us a lot of insight regarding what worked best since he shot our venue several times before. On the wedding day, he was so organized and calm and the whole picture process was seamless. He captured every moment perfectly and our photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined. The wedding day looks as dreamy as it felt! We could not be happier!

s that would ultimately memorialize the special day! Prior to the wedding day, Paul was extremely communicative about the process. He helped establish time lines that kept our day on track. Paul’s professionalism & preparation helped the day flow incredibly smoothly. Paul’s truly calm demeanor on the actual day is remarkable! Since everyone is so comfortable around him, Paul was able to capture not just beautiful portraits, but the true essence of the day and the many emotions. That is truly a gift. Special note: the hairspray moment! Our daughter got caught in a bit of gusty wind on the beach. Paul sensed her angst and came to the rescue! He found hairspray from his car and literally saved the day! The bride commented at the end of the night, “How great is Paul?!” We are now enjoying the gallery of pictures and Paul’s video and portraits. I am overwhelmed by his artistry! He exceeded our expectations! Many thanks to Paul & Carolyn for capturing the best day ever!

in our wedding photos - something that meant SO much to us. He was so organized, creating a moment by moment timeline for the day of, having multiple meetings to ensure he was ready to capture everything we wanted. On the day of, he was AMAZING. He not only made me (as the bride) feel so calm and so at ease, but he was so fast, so easy going with the flow of what we wanted and off to the side / capturing from afar when he needed to (almost like we didn't even know he was there). Multiple family members shared how great he was as well, getting everything done in a tight timeline and making it easy & fun. He also had a few surprises for us during the reception that quite literally made the night so special. In addition to photos, Paul also captured some live shots that he strung together in a short video for us - I wasn't sure I wanted anything like that, but it was SO perfect and SO amazing, I can't explain how happy I am that we have it. I highly highly recommend getting a video like that as well, with photos. Truly the best experience and the best photographer!!!!

e us both feel very comfortable and and the photos were fun to take. We would definitely recommend him as your photographer!

e are as people and Paul did just that. He got a variety of shots in different poses and the turnaround time was extremely fast. Not only that, but he was amazing to work with. He was personable and got the job done. I cannot recommend him enough!

spite a drizzly day, he got some absolutely stunning pictures! He made us both feel super comfortable around him and behind the camera. On our wedding day, Paul kept everything running on schedule and kept everyone calm. His pictures arrived quickly (3 weeks) and were stunning. We can't even describe how happy we are with how the photos turned out. These are memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Recommend Paul 100% for your wedding photos--you won't regret it!

lled and we absolutely love how the pictures turned out!

ul is fun, kind, honest, creative, calming, and professional. He is responsive to emails and phone calls. Above all, he is a highly organized artist - Organization was a major feature we looked for in a wedding photographer for our large wedding with 2 separate 'getting-ready' locations for bride and groom, and 2 wedding locations (church in Newark, ceremony in Jersey City). Timing was key. With our input and respect for our photo preferences (big shot list!) , Paul developed a very detailed itinerary for our day that we then based all of our other vendors' schedule's off of. He also was very organized with directing our large family for photos. We took his professional advice fully (timing, which photos would work, which wouldn't work, that's a duplicate shot, etc.) when developing our entire shot list. He and his second shooter (Rachel) were 'in the background' when not taking formal portraits - we hardly knew where he was while shooting hundreds and hundreds of stunning photos - even party bus photos! Paul communicated well with our videographer for a smooth teamwork effort for both vendors to produce beautiful photos and video footage. Our happiness was their priority. From the moment we met to him on Zoom to the end of the wedding night, Paul constantly reminded us to have date nights without 'wedding talk,' be in the moment, remind each other of our favorite moments as a couple, etc. to keep our excitement high and our stress levels low. Additionally, we highly recommend engagement portraits (So much fun! We chose Central Park) with Paul to get to know his style, be comfortable in front of the camera and so he can know which poses are your favorite in preparation for the photos on your big day! We are thrilled with our photos and overwhelmed with compliments from guests and family. Thank you Paul for making our wedding day photos smooth and fun. Thank you for your marriage advice and friendship during a very stressful 18 months of planning. And thank you for the most GORGEOUS gallery of photos we could have imagined!

Paul is extremely talented, professional, organized and simply a joy to work with. He was calm and helped us feel so comfortable throughout the whole day. He even had photos available the night of our wedding, it was amazing! Thank you to Paul and Rachel for the beautiful photos and for making our day so special!

it was our initial call with Paul that showed us it was not only his stylistic vision, but his overall personality and character that sealed the deal. This initial phone call - which lasted well over two hours one evening - felt as if we were talking to an old friend. Paul was instrumental throughout our entire wedding planning process. He was a constant source of encouragement, support and excitement! When the big day finally arrived, we could not be more thrilled to spend the day with Paul and his team. We are not a couple who enjoys being the center of attention, and we felt so at ease with Paul. Before our reception even started, Paul had several images running on a screen (which we had no idea he was bringing with him, let alone that we would have photos to see before dinner was even served!). It truly felt like Paul was a friend at our event, rather then a vendor. His skill is unmatched. We look forward to building our friendship with Paul over the years as we continue to seek his guidance and creativity throughout life’s milestone!

ur special day (very promptly might I add), but he was professional, easy to communicate with, and ensured that our day ran smoothly. Paul's talent, kindness and professionalism is unmatched!

nized, genuinely nice, and communicative throughout the entire process leading up to my wedding day. He was the perfect person to capture our day, but not just because of his incredible talent. He brought a sense of calm to what can be a really stressful day, and I trusted him to get everything we needed + wanted. He understood my vision and brought it to life better than I could have even imagined. For group shots, he dealt with our very large bridal party & family, and made it as painless & quick as possible. He also threw some very thoughtful and special surprises into our night that really set him apart from the rest. Do not hesitate to book him!!!

ntly say that Paul is ALL of those things + 1 million more! From our engagement session, to the planning process, to the actual day of Paul (and his awesome crew member Rachel) created an environment that was calming, creative, and more importantly fun! Paul's incredibly keen eye for the right light, the right placement/pose, the right location is unlike any wedding photographer I have ever experienced (having been in a handful of weddings) and the feedback that I received from guests after viewing the live streamed images was pure amazement. Because of Paul, my husband and I have beautiful images to look back on and remember the best night of our lives. Thank you, thank you thank you to Paul and Rachel for playing an extremely important role in a very important day of our lives. To future couples out there looking for a photographer, BOOK PAUL FRANCIS!

more comfortable posing and with the camera. Those turned out fabulous and we were able to use them on our Save the Date, wedding website, and more! Leading up to the wedding, Paul was beyond responsive, answering every little question and helping us set a timeline for the day. On the day of the wedding, Paul balanced keeping us on schedule but also making everything flow naturally and keeping everyone in good spirits. Our guests absolutely loved the live photos being streamed to the tablet in our reception and couldn't believe the quality of them (even before any editing!) Within 2 weeks of our wedding, Paul emailed us all our files to download, share, and enjoy. We look at them almost every day and each day choose a new favorite shot. He captured the joy, love, laughter, and community from early morning until late in the night. He worked seamlessly with our videographer and never felt intrusive. We can't wait to get our wedding album and know it will be treasured for generations to come! Thank you, Paul, for being a key member of our special day!

He is so organized and so helpful planning out what pictures you want and the day of timeline for photos. He is so nice and thoughtful and makes you feel totally comfortable around a camera if you're someone who gets a little camera shy. He is also so efficient which is wonderful when you have a long day of events! His 2nd photographer Rachel is equally amazing. I can't say enough about how wonderful he is to work with!! You will not be disappointed!

He found many unique places to take photos. In addition to that he was able to PRINT some photos on the day of and give a photo book to my mom and MIL. You can bet they both were so happy and were crying happy tears. He gave me some next day edits to post on social media. If I could give him 100 stars, I would. He is is on the expensive side, but worth every single penny. I would book him again and again.

. He was the first vendor we selected. The pictures are incredible, and he even put out displays of pictures at the reception for guests to see!!!!!

and he made us feel so comfortable with being behind the camera. After our engagement session I knew we made the right decision. On our wedding day, he was so patient and made sure that everything was perfect. He also made sure that he captured all of the important moments that we wanted. I cant wait to see all of the beautiful photos that he captured on our wedding day! I would definitely recommend Paul for anyone looking for a photographer whether its for a wedding, engagement, birthday. You won't regret it!

d we ended up with amazing pictures. Can't recommend him enough!

m for my wedding. Before that I happened, I recommended him to my cousin where he once again made magic happen. We used Paul for our engagement pictures and wedding. Our engagement pictures were in October on the beach, which just so happened to be the day a Nor’Easter hit NJ. Paul being Paul, said I know how to make this beautiful, we were up at out before sunrise, freezing, but Paul took the most beautiful pictures. I knew from there we were in great hands. Our wedding this past Friday, was caught on the tale end of a hurricane, which was less than ideal but Paul knew how important it was to us for outside pictures. He did everything he could to get the shots, rain or shine. I am blown away by his same day edits, I know the best is yet to come. Paul is a master in his craft. I highly recommend him, I cannot wait to work with him again!

urning calls/emails. He helped us create a day of timeline and helped us stay on on track on our wedding day. Paul was able to address all our concerns and helped make our day run smoothly. We cannot recommend Paul enough! You are guaranteed to love your wedding photos.

ented—believe me, I looked at a lot of photographers’ websites. He was described as my colleague’s “favorite” vendor, and he quickly became ours. Leading up to our big day, from the engagement shoot to phone conversations, he makes sure he understands the venue, the flow of the day, the people who will surround you… and then magically turns that into a gallery of photos that become your memories of an incredible day. In my opinion, choosing the photographer is the most important decision you’ll make when it comes to wedding planning: when you’re old and gray, those pictures become what you remember, so they have to be incredible! I’m a private person and some photographers had a publicity fee if you didn’t want your photos posted on their site or blogs, but not Paul. And he will always be one step ahead of you. I was amazed at the speed with which we received our wedding photos, and many of our guests raved not only about the gallery but also about how smoothly the group portraits went. I never felt like I was missing the wedding because photos were taking too long. I’m a very picky person, so I picked Paul—best decision I made:)

rganized and thoughtful and spent a lot of time going over the timeline of our day and making sure we got every photo we wanted. He arrived on time and kept us on time all day. He was well prepared with our shot list and had organized an efficient order for the photos to get each of the groups we wanted photographed. His style of photography is breathtaking. He is very creative and knows how to work with natural light. He even gave us and our parents a small album as a wedding gift at the end of the reception to “tide is over” until all the photos are done. I don’t know how he did that so quickly! The photos we’ve seen so far are completely gorgeous and we can’t wait to see the rest. On top of being creative, punctual and organized, Paul is just a really, really nice person. He is patient and calming to work with and it was easy to trust him with this important job. We hope to work with him again, perhaps for baby photos some day! Thank you, Paul!!!

was always reaching out to check in and had a day-of timeline prepared for us (with alternate plans depending if my dress had a corset back or not... he thought of it ALL!). We were a bit nervous for our engagement shoot, but Paul immediately put us at ease and we had an absolute blast. In the last few weeks of the planning, I could always depend on him to have an answer for every question I had and assured me that we would be on schedule (being late to the church was my biggest fear!). When he arrived the morning of the wedding, his amazingly calm demeanor settled over the house (thankfully!) and my mom and I still remark about how soft spoken, yet completely in control he was in a house full of changing bridesmaids, an anxious mother and bride, and two screaming toddlers. I remarked a few times that I was worried we'd be late and Paul constantly reassured me we'd be on time and not to worry unless I saw him worrying (he didn't even sound frustrated the fourteenth time I anxiously asked if we'd be late!). He and the second photographer, Rachel, did a beautiful job capturing our ceremony and quickly got the bridal party photos done without any visible shivering. On top of the gorgeous bridal portraits, Paul and Rachel were able to capture all of the personality and fun on the dance floor at the reception as well. In addition to their tireless efforts during the day, Paul had a monitor looping photos from earlier in the day at the reception; my guests and I were in total awe!! We were also so happy to take home a small album of photos from the day so we could start showing friends and family... that was truly the icing on the cake. They say you get what you pay for and with Paul Francis Photography, I felt like we got all that we paid for and even more, down to the smallest, thoughtful details. Thank you, Paul and Rachel, for capturing the most amazing day of our lives so beautifully!

h same day edits, as well as, gave us a small photo book of the same day edits. I was in tears. I was very confident in Paul and his team, but he truly made our day so easy and fun. I cannot thank Paul enough for everything we did for us - from engagement shoot to our wedding day. He spent HOURS researching our venue for the perfect location for shots. We only saw the same day edits, and I cannot say enough amazing things about Paul and his team.

our reception Paul was kind, professional, and detail-oriented. We had a very tight timeline on our wedding day, but we never once felt stressed or worried because Paul kept us all on schedule and kept everyone at ease. And, I am usually fairly uncomfortable when I know candid photos are being taken or when taking photos by myself, but Paul made both me and my husband feel very comfortable, and it shows in the photos. It honestly felt like we had a friend working as our photographer. Our photos are beautiful, AND working with Paul, Rachel, and Christian was an absolute pleasure. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

se, and I knew we were in good hands. For the last year leading up to our wedding last night, Paul kept in touch and ensured everything was absolutely perfectly planned. He answered any questions we had within the day, usually within a few minutes. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and Paul really understood our vision for our wedding and who we are. He anticipated any issues we might have and dealt with them before they even happened. And miraculously, he somehow managed to make an album for us that he gave as a gift before he left the Shadowbrook. There are not enough words to thank Paul and his team. Thank you for being so wonderful, and for all your hard work and effort. We would recommend Paul to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much!!

eryone else calm and things went smoothly. We would truly recommend him and his company to do your affairs.

100% our favorite vendor! Not only are his photos breathtaking but he is exactly the type of person who you want with you on your wedding day. He has such a calming presence! We first used him for our engagement photos. He was flexible and took incredible photos in the greenery of Central Park and then in Brooklyn with the Manhattan skyline in the background and the sun setting. We decided pretty last minute about making the trek to Brooklyn as the second location and he was totally on board. Before the wedding he checked in about any specific shots we wanted and followed through on every single request. I was very stressed about rain (the day before was predicting 96% thunderstorms) and he explained that even if it rained we would be able to get outside and the photos would be beautiful regardless. The weather ended up being perfect but I still knew that he had it covered either way. He also had a very organized and efficient process for making sure all the family photos get done quickly and with the right people. We are so happy with our photos from the wedding. His photos capture the moments so perfectly and then he also has some amazing, artistic, soft ones that I swear look like they're meant for a magazine. He also got us our photos in less than a month! Incredibly quick compared to my other friends' photographers. Thank you a million times over, Paul, for capturing our happiest day! Best, Liz and Mark

d his passion for what he does is so apparent! He kept in touch regularly leading up to our big day, and was always available to answer any questions, which helped me feel stress-free during the process. All in all, my fiancé and I completely trusted Paul, which is so important when finding a wedding photographer because they’re the ones that help you remember your day when it’s all over. Besides Paul’s work ethic, his talent for photography is unbelievable. He creates such a beautiful mood with his photos; each one is like a piece of art. And besides that, he’s so quick at delivering them! Almost immediately after we took our wedding portraits, Paul put up a slideshow of the highlights from that shoot and even gave us a little book of our preview photos at the end of the night!! That little touch was so thoughtful and made me incredibly happy - seeing photos the day of your wedding is such an exciting moment! The amount of care that Paul puts into his work is so so special, and I would recommend him to anyone!

rsation, I knew Paul would be timely, detail-oriented, but laid back enough that I would feel comfortable. He truly wants to reflect the beauty of marriage in his photography and is such a family man. Paul is not just a photographer; he is an artist. The cost was higher than we had planned to pay for photography, but the artistry and support was well worth the extra cost. Wedding photos will last decades and, if our little photo book and our engagement photos are any indication, I look forward to showing our wedding photos to our children’s children.

front of a camera; however we do have an appreciation for aesthetics and like things to look nice! We also don't take ourselves/life too seriously, so this posed a problem when planning a wedding ourselves. This is where Paul came in. From the very first phone call, I could tell Paul was an absolute professional, a talented artist, a romantic himself and someone who would take our day extremely seriously. He already was asking questions about timing of our ceremony so he could plan for the sunset! He never pushed, instead he actively listened and proposed ideas that suited us. We opted for the engagement shoot so we could see what it was like to have our picture taken, and meet Paul in advance. BEST DECISION. This is what took any anxiety I had about wedding photos completely off my plate for the next year that we planned our wedding. My wedding day experience, from start to finish, was more than anything I could have asked for. And I owe this to Paul. His presence was calming and necessary. He kept us on a schedule, and captured the most beautiful, natural moments through out the day/night, without me ever feeling like I was "on display." I was very present minded & genuinely experiencing everything the entire time. The gorgeous photos I have to look back on, I remember taking because Paul allowed me to have the moments to take it in and I thank you, Paul, for that. And can I just say, that every single picture is beautiful? Natural, Genuine, Authentic... while all the while Artistic, Beautiful, Captivating! All of my friends and family raved about the photos, and many of my friends will be reaching out to him when their time comes. But I think the sweetest thing of it all, was that Paul put together a photo album for my husband and I to have and take with us at the end of the night. It meant so much to have those photos with us on our Honeymoon and be able to have with us for the holidays when we got back. Paul and his team are the absolute best, and I look forward to the day our paths cross again! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I'm so thrilled with how everything came out! Paul was phenomenal at getting the perfect shots and making sure he captured all the ones we really wanted. He really worked hard to make sure the day went smoothly, organized and ran on time. It was such an added benefit to have him act as a day of coordinator. Without him I'm not sure things would have ran as smoothly or on time. The little extras that he threw in were only icing on top of an already perfect cake. Do yourself a favor and book him. It will be one of the best decisions you make for your wedding. You will not regret it and you'll be absolutely thrilled working with him.

pictures I have seen! Paul is extremely professional and so easy to work with! I would recommend Paul and his team to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Paul, we can not thank you enough for all you did for John and I! You are truly the best!

irst phone call -- he looked up the time the sun would set on our wedding day, over a year in advance, and we knew we were in good hands. He is meticulous in his prep, which is so important in making sure the day goes as planned. His team handled a large bridal party and family, and were able to capture both posed photos and candid moments with ease. He is clearly respected by both his team and other vendors, making everyone feel comfortable all day, enabling the best photos. He's never in the way, though his photos reflect being right in the middle of the action. Most importantly, he communicates well and was responsive both before and after the wedding. He runs a small business as effectively as a large studio, making it ideal for clients - top notch service with high quality results. Our finished photos were ready in record time and he assisted in putting our beautiful album together. There are so many other reasons we loved working with Paul, but the bottom line is we are forever grateful for his work!

putting together our wedding album. When I was looking for a photographer for my wedding, I knew I wanted someone who could capture genuine, candid photos. During the day of our wedding, Paul and his team were so organized and so great at making sure to capture beautiful moments throughout the day without being intrusive. I frequently look at my wedding photos and it truly feels like we are reliving the day! Paul made it his business to make the day special for us and to take pictures that will last us a lifetime. Another huge plus was that Paul and his team worked so well with our wedding planner, our videographers, and the other vendors. To sum it up, whenever I look at our wedding photos, I can feel the emotions and it brings back the best memories and feelings from the best day of my life. Paul and his team are the absolute best and anyone would be lucky to have him capture their wedding day.

is team checked these important boxes for us. He is meticulous with his timing and details and a true artist. He always made sure communication was maintained and input was well received. Just when we thought everything was perfect the way it was Paul delivered a few more surprises which put him over the top. Thank you again Paul. Joe & Nikki

to speak on the phone and he was always timely and prepared. Most importantly Paul is a genuine salt of the earth kind of guy. He is very calm which I appreciated. He spoke to me in a respectful manner and has worked with my extreme indecisiveness. He truly understands that a wedding is extremely important for everyone including family and friends and wants to make sure he can facilitate the story of the entire day. He was flexible - we have a disabled family member that required time sensitive pictures and did not fit the typical framework. He did not bat an eyelash at our special requests and understood just how important these pictures were. These are real pictures. There may be a shadow, not a distracting shadow, but that is real. They are high quality pieces of art. He is reliable and trustworthy. I have no doubt that I selected the most amazing photographer. He also did our engagement photographs. I wanted really gritty NYC pictures which we did get, but he also convinced us to do some central park pictures and they are AMAZING! He really worked hard to make us comfortable and to get to know us to tell our story and not make us fit into a typical cookie cutter pattern of pictures. Overall Paul is a genuine nice guy with an eye for pictures and a heart of gold that he uses to understand the couple's story and weave the wedding photos into. You will not regret picking Paul Francis Photography!

I had nothing to worry about in means of photography. He created a schedule with me and ensured that we were able to capture everything I wanted while having the day go by smoothly and efficiently. We opted for the option of the second photographer and Anne was a pleasure as well. They surprised us with displaying a quick digital photo gallery at the reception and the pictures were gorgeous! The guests loved being able to see some shots of us getting ready and such immediately. I can't tell you how many people asked me for his information, as his pictures are breath taking. The hotel who hosted our wedding even asked for his information, as he captured the beauty of the site so well. Paul and his team put together a beautiful wedding album that we were able to enjoy the day of. Thank you again to Paul Francis photography for capturing our day so beautifully and all of the thoughtful extra touches!!

g planner. He would frequently check in with me and help me think about the logistics of the day. He created lists that were helpful for organizing, offered suggestions of what is "typically done" but was always willing to adjust based on our needs. On the day of the wedding I was super nervous and his professionalism and warmth helped me to keep calm. He knew when to be there taking pictures and when to give me space to be with my bridesmaids. He had great suggestions for the couples portraits and helped us feel natural/happy. He is a true artist who can capture the beauty of his surroundings and make his subjects feel magical! He goes above and beyond the typical wedding photographer and surprised us on numerous occasions with his thoughtfulness. We will cherish our gorgeous wedding photographs forever!

happy couple so beautifully that I knew he would do an amazing job for us. When we had the opportunity to meet him via Skype, we felt immediately comfortable with him, and I knew that if I had to have someone following me around for an entire day, I'd be pretty happy if that person was Paul! We had an engagement shoot with him and had a great time and the pictures were beautiful! On the day of the wedding, he was, as expected, very easy to work with - as was his entire team. In addition to the beautiful photos he provided us after the event, the most touching moment was right before he left the reception, when he presented us with bound book of pictures from the day! I'll never know how he worked his magic to accomplish this so quickly, but it brought tears to our eyes to be able to see the special memories that we created that day within hours. Thank you, Paul, for everything you did for us before, during, and after our special day!

us was a lifesaver! The priest even commented how we were actually starting on time! And it was all because of Paul. The photos he took are breathtaking and we couldn't have asked for anything more! He is truly talented. The setup at the wedding to show the guests some photos he had taken and the photo book gift at the end were just the icing on the cake! We highly recommend Paul to all couples, you can't go wrong and you'll have amazing pictures to last a lifetime!

edible. He will help you plan out your day and his team is so much more than a photographer on the day of. He takes the most incredible shots and everything he shoots is romantic and perfect. I had a few particular shots that I really wanted for my engagement shoot and they came out better than I could have ever imagined. On the wedding day when anything was stressing us out , Paul and his team were there for us to make sure we were everything went smoothly and that we got to enjoy every minute of our day. I would recommend Paul to anyone - he truly was amazing.
