About this vendor
People often ask me what it's like to officiate weddings after more than three decades. The truth is, I've never considered it a job. It's been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
For over 30 years, I've stood beside couples during one of the most important moments they'll ever experience. I've celebrated joyful tears, heartfelt laughter, quiet nervous moments, and unforgettable first kisses. Every ceremony reminds me that while flowers fade and music eventually stops, the promises made between two people become the foundation of a lifetime together.
My goal has always been simple: create a ceremony that feels genuine, personal, and completely centered on your story. Whether your celebration is traditional, spiritual, non-denominational, elegant, or relaxed, I'll work with you to design a ceremony that reflects your personalities and the journey that brought you together. My hope is that years from now, when you look back on your wedding day, you'll remember not only how beautiful everything looked, but how deeply you felt loved, celebrated, and present in that moment. Helping couples create memories like that is why I still love what I do today.

Paul was a pleasure to work with. He gave us a ceremony full of laughter, compassion, and warmth. It was as entertaining as it was heartfelt. Standing up and declaring your love fo...
r another person with a ton of people watching can be scary, but Paul found ways to ease any tension in both us and the audience. My husband and I really feel like our ceremony was about us and our love. Plus, we added a new tradition to our household because of his suggestion: a time capsule that we made with a wine box during our ceremony! We had so much fun planning that out and writing letters to each other to put into it. It was a lovely add-on we would never have thought to incorporate without Paul’s creativity. Thank you, Paul!
We hired Paul as our officiant right after our first Facetime with him. He immediately liked his personality and knew that he would perform a great ceremony. In building the ceremo...
ny, he had us each fill out a series of questions that he used, along with an interview of us, to build "our story" that he shared during our ceremony. Paul also gave us advice for writing our own vows and offered to look over them for us. He gave us the ceremony script and was very great with adding in things or taking things out based on our feedback. During the rehearsal, he ran the show and made sure everyone knew where to be and what to do. He is very friendly and funny. He made sure to know who our family members were and after the ceremony, took care of all the witness signatures for us so we didn't have to do anything. He also delivered our marriage license for us as well. I highly recommend Paul for your ceremony! It was perfect.
I met Paul at the Bridal Bazaar and scheduled him to officiate my wedding in November 2022. Months before the wedding date we had a call with him and he spent time getting to know ...
my fiance and I. He absolutely NAILED it at the ceremony! He is truly a professional. When planning a wedding there are so many things to worry about, and you hope it goes smoothly. Not to mention I'd never planned a wedding ceremony before so I had no clue what I was doing. I had a vision of what I wanted and he created exactly what I wanted. My husband is Persian and I wanted to include some Persian traditions in the ceremony and he was very experienced and helped me incorporate these traditions to make the whole thing very smooth. He kept our guests extremely engaged, had really great ideas prepared, and is extremely sweet and personable. He handled the marriage license, recorded it with the recorder's office while I was away on my honeymoon, and handled it all for me. I can't thank Paul enough! He is wonderful!
Paul made our ceremony so special and beautiful. We had a phone call with him and went over our vision for the ceremony. He sent us a very thorough draft and was happy to include a...
ny changes we wanted to make. He spoke so genuinely and we had several compliments on the ceremony wording (and how nicely Paul spoke). Our guests said that Paul seemed like he was a family friend and that it seemed that he really knew us. Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. Paul also came to our rehearsal and had some very helpful suggestions (i.e. suggested how to put the rings on each others hands in order to get the best pictures, offered to hold our vows/rings/anything else). He mailed our marriage license to be filed very quickly and sent us a scanned copy as well. We would definitely recommend using Paul for your ceremony.
Paul really made our ceremony unforgettable. He really gets to know you and tell your story during the ceremony. He also is easy to communicate with, via face to face, phone or ema...
il. He really cares about his clients and ensures that everything is good before the big day. He sends you what will be said a week before so there are no surprises other then vows if you decide to do your own. He also makes sure the ceremony is all about the bride and groom, he doesn't pressure any certain ceremonies within (eg. unity candle). My husband and I hear how good our ceremony was for they all laughed And learned more about us as a couple instead of listening to 30 minutes of just talking.
I highly recommend Paul for your officiant.
Paul was one of the best choices we made in terms of wedding vendors! He was warm, friendly, and very open to the kind of ceremony that we wanted (which was non-religious). He did...
a great job telling our story, engaging our audience, and making it all about the two of us. You could tell he was excited to be there and he also attended the rehearsal which was nice. He also took care of getting our witness signatures and filed our marriage license the very next day. His price is comparable to other officiants, but I am still so very glad that we chose him! Our guests can't stop talking about what a beautiful ceremony we had and about the guy who led it! Way to go, Paul!
My husband and I met Paul Frye at a bridal bizarre in Del mar and instantly felt like he was the one we wanted to marry us. We met with him again shortly after that to discuss the...
details of our wedding and get to know each other a little better. We really had no idea where to even start as far as the ceremony went. We knew we wanted something traditional, not religious, and unique to us. He was so professional and had so many great ideas for us to think over, we knew we were in good hands. After we had gone over the final details and draft of our ceremony, we could not wait for our day to come! Fast forward to the wedding day, I was a giant ball of nerves. After making it down the aisle in one piece, my anxiety vanished as soon as we started the ceremony. Paul was able to articulate our story so well, it could not have been more perfect. We had numerous guests complement him and ask if he was a good family friend! We are so glad we chose Paul as our officiate and could not be happier with his performance.
Paul was a great officiant! We spent over an hour just talking to him at our first meeting.. he makes you feel so comfortable and at ease! He also was so helpful post wedding with ...
the license and legal process.
FH and I were so excited to meet Paul at a bridal show as he seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. He is very personable, seemed easy to work with and wanted to customize ...
our ceremony to us. At first he emailed us very quick to get everything set up, but then it changed. I returned his email and at least 2 weeks had gone by and I had heard nothing. I contacted him again and he got back to me to setup a meeting, but again I returned his email he never got back to me. I was really disappointed and had to find another officiant a I felt could rely on.
Paul met with us several times to get to know us and ensure we had the ceremony that was perfect for us. He also met with us for the rehearsal to make sure everything went smoothl...
y. He helped us write vows and design a ceremony to be appropriate for our religious families (Catholic and Christian) and for our not-very-religious selves. It was beautiful and heart-felt.
