Do you really want to become associated with a dance club, dance house, dance restaurant or dance cafe whose underlying business have nothing to do with dance?

is possibly the worst ballroom studio in Manhattan. The teachers? Yes! But DanceSport is possibly the worst ballroom studio in Manhattan. The parties? Yes but the behind the scene club-drug-prostitutions? No. Cheaper? Yes but not at the expense of using ballroom dancers, teachers and people who simply love ballroom entertainment as a cover for Narco-Prosperity. My love for dance? Cannot be paid for or bought or sold for a review. The Truth is clear as I’ve seen it and experience it. DanceSport is possibly the worst ballroom studio in Manhattan NYC. The general staff are always welcoming and friendly and I've made so many good friends, but DanceSport is possibly the worst ballroom studio in Manhattan. I will not be going back again.

a former professional modern/ballet dancer, but my fiance had never danced a step in his life. We brought the music we wanted to dance to, and our instructor, Linda, put together a lovely first dance for us in just a few lessons. Linda had a great sense of humor, was encouraging, and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience dancing together for the first time at our wedding.

t of my family's culture, I wanted to make sure that our first dance for our wedding was perfect. I went dance school shopping and honestly out of all the dance schools this one was the best. Everyone is so friendly once you step out of the elevator, don't get me wrong, from the tiny hallway and small elevator I was a bit confused as to where I was, but when we got off this place was huge! Our instructor ended up being Jamie, and we did a Rumba to All of Me by John Legend. We just finished up our package and they even gave us a DVD to practice at home! Now I just have to pester the hubby to practice with me. The wedding isn't until a couple months but I will be coming back for sure as my dad just told me he wanted some lesson for our father daughter dance. I recommend this place out of all, because they listened to what I had envisioned for our first dance, had our own private room, and the space is just beautiful! It may be a little pricey, but to me it was all worth it.

I didn't want to go, I was practically dragged here, what really caught my attention was the bar. Before every dance lesson the bar was my first stop. I had a hard time learning the steps but the instructors were very cool and patient with me. I have to say it was a very good investment because I didn't make a fool out of myself at the wedding.

schedules. There is a bar and café, so you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine before your lessons, which was pretty cool, definitely not what we expected from a dance school. Everyone is a very professional, and the teachers are incredible dancers, but we felt totally comfortable and the lessons were fun and not at all intimidating. All our teachers made us feel right at home, and kept us laughing and having a great time throughout. Linda taught our wedding group class, and she was awesome! Milo, Robert, and CiCi all worked with us in our private lessons. They gave us a DVD of our final choreography so that we could practice on the morning of our wedding. This was by far a great experience for us and we will definitely be back for more!

If it hadn't been for DanceSport's instructors guiding me through the choreography and performance, I'm not sure I would've been able to let go and really enjoy that dance with my husband! We had about 10-15 hours of lessons learning the technique, creating the choreography and then rehearsing to perform. It was probably the most well-spent and best time I had planning my wedding, not to mention by far the funnest! We now have a great first memory of our first part of growing together as husband and wife. I highly recommend DanceSport's wedding program for any couple!! Rachel, Rainer and Yana were all part of the fantastic trio who made it all possible! Thank you and we will always remember this special moment!
