Paul is simply amazing and did a fantastic job! He really knows how to capture the moment and create the most creative images. It was important to my husband and I to find a photographer who would photograph our wedding day in a way that would reflect who we are as a couple. Paul nailed it and we couldn't be more happy with our beautiful photos. Thank you!

Paul was by far our favorite vendor on our wedding day. He is so easy to work with and personable. From about 10 minutes into our first phone call with him we knew he was our photographer. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, made us feel comfortable about a couple timeline issues we knew we were going to run into and adjusted his collections for us to meet our budget. We shot engagement or images with him at the beach and in the hills for a rustic and Californian vibe (we sprung for the two location package). The images came out amazing. On our wedding day he showed up a bit early and jumped right into taking incredible images of my dress and bouquet. I am so happy I have those pictures now…although I will be honest and say it was funny to watch him obsess over the flowers at the time. ;) (sorry pvr). He is very low key during the day and blends in with guests which is nice because it seemed like we received a lot of amazing candid images. All in all he was worth every dime we paid him and we still feel like we got a deal! We are definitely using him again and recommend him to all of our friends and family.

If you're looking for a photographer who is going to photograph your wedding in an amazing way then Paul is your guy. He shot both our engagement session and wedding day. He was really easy to work with, very organized and professional, but also very fun at the same time. I've had incredible amounts of people ask who our photographer was because the images are just so beautiful. The images were delivered via an online gallery and a fast digital download. The majority were color, but we did get quite a few B&Ws as well, which suits me fine. I love black and white. ☺. Image turn around was reasonable considering he shoots a mix of ACTUAL film and digital. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to hire Paul. Do yourself a favor and hire him or you will likely disappointed in the long run (I say this solely based off of knowing I have the best looking wedding photos of all of my friends. Haha). =)

PVR was such an awesome addition to our wedding day, not only as our photographer, but as a person! Not only he make us feel at super relaxed and comfortable during the engagement session and wedding, but we where blown away when we received our images. I wish I had another reason to hire him! We are hoping to do a maternity shoot soon... =) We took a lot of care in selecting our vendors and I know its challenging to pick a photographer with so many out there, but Paul is in a league of his own. If you hire him you wont be sorry. My husband and I wish we lived in Orange County so we could find an excuse to hang out with him regularly. One more thing worth mentioning; He is super low key during the wedding. He and his assistant blended in perfectly to the wedding, almost like they where guests. This made all the difference to us, we didn't want to feel like we where being chased by photographers all day. We are so pleased with our experience and can't recommend him enough.

Paul Von Rieter is our hero. No seriously. I know I am not the only bride to be nervous about having their picture taken on their wedding day. Paul was so awesome at making everything so fun and relaxed. I cant say enough good things. We are so happy with our images and are in the process of having an album made. He is definitely our photographer for life! Now, we just need some kids for him to shoot! =)

We had such an amazing experience with Paul. We love our photos so much. We hired him to shoot our engagement session and wedding. He was great with my groomsmen (a rowdy bunch) and really helped manage what was a rather large bridal party (20 total). My wife said he was awesome with the bridesmaids and was able to get our rather shy niece (jr bridesmaid/flower girl) to be all smily and pose for a bunch of images that we thought she wouldn't be up for! All in all we are incredibly satisfied and can not say enough good things. HIRE HIM! you wont regret it.

Paul is a very talented photographer with a unique eye for detail and is a pleasure to work with during a shoot. When it comes to actually receiving your images, that is the part where he's fallen significantly short. As an example, our marriage ceremony took place in late October of 2013. It is now nearly 5 months later and we've received numerous explanations as to why we haven't received our images, and numerous timelines promising delivery, much to the chagrin of our families, relatives, and vendors as well. I'm not sure if all of his clients experience the same treatment, this is just our experience and it has been an incredibly frustrating one especially as we paid him in full prior to our wedding date. We've noticed other couples have already received their images well after ours. Can you imagine how this would make you feel? Our contract stated digital images are available after 2-4 weeks from the date of shoot. We've received one image, a "sneak peek" if you will. Further, our contract states that after 8 months if final edited images haven't been delivered, they are free and you'll be issued a refund. But this is a moot point. Who wants a refund for images that are priceless? We just want our pictures, and our patience has run out. Do yourself a favor and ensure you deal with a photographer who gives you immediate access to your images, even if they haven't been retouched yet or otherwise finalized. You don't want the agonizing frustration, mental anguish, and desperate family members constantly harassing you to the point of a nervous breakdown.

My wife and I highly recommend Paul von Rieter (www.paulvonreiter.com) as a wedding photographer. We originally found him on the internet, along with a handful of other photographers based in southern California. Even though our wedding budget was not very big, photography was very important to us (it lasts forever) and we were willing to dedicate a big proportion of our budget towards it. We interviewed Paul and a number of other photographers by phone and then a smaller group in person. The sample photography of everyone we ultimately chose to meet with was great, but Paul was by far the most personable and organized and we liked his work the best. Paul was booked on the date that we were originally planning on having our wedding, but we were so impressed with him that we changed our date (by a week- fortunately we were still 1 year away from the wedding) in order to book him as our photographer. He is really fun to work with and a genuinely nice person! He made us and everyone at the wedding feel very comfortable while he was taking pictures. We also feel that we have the best photos of anyone we know. One key point about him is that he does not think about things in the scope of just taking photographs- we felt that he was on our “team” during the wedding and had our best interests in mind overall. He is a consummate professional and a great person- we highly recommend him and recommend that you book him early!

I got married in May and I am still having trouble picking the pictures I want to go in my wedding album because he gave me so many amazing pictures that I cant decide. He was such a joy to work with from our first metting to engagement photos to the wedding. He did everything i wanted and more. I am going to have him take pictures of my family every year. It was even nice to have him there to make me laugh while I was getting readyfor the wedding and I never really saw him at the wedding but took so many wonderful pictures, thats how good he is at what he does! Thank you Paul, you made me dreams come true!

I did a bridal portrait session, we did an engagement session and then our wedding and we were SO happy with our pictures. We have gotten compliment after compliment on the photos from every shoot we did! Paul is fun and easy to work with. He traveled to Oklahoma for our wedding and everything was seamless. He made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. Definitely recommend this photographer!
