dle a big group -- though we were only four. However, I have say that if you have curly hair and want a salon that will work with your natural look, I really cannot recommend Paula's. Three of the four of us who had our hair done have curls, and I don't think any of us were blown away by their ability to handle it. We each brought pictures of a naturally curly look we liked and I don't think anyone got exactly what they were expecting. All the stylists seemed to want to do was straighten our hair and then re-curl it with an iron, instead of working with our natural curls -- which to me is entirely different look and can be a little too pageant-y. I know it must be challenging to replicate a photo on someone else's hair, but I was still surprised at how much it seemed like they weren't even aiming to come close. My mother-in-law brought a picture of herself from another time she had her hair done, and still the stylist wanted her to blow it out and then re-curl it. While we all were ultimately happy enough with our hair (as well as the makeup we had done), I just can't recommend this salon for anyone who is serious about curls. Again, it seems like a great place if you have lots of people to get in and out of chairs, but I wish I had found a place a little more accommodating to the needs of our very small group.
