Pavel Jany Guitarist/Composer

Pavel Jany was our guitarist for both our ceremony and cocktail hour and he just rocked it. We went to one of his music shows a week before the wedding and walked out of there thinking "yep, he is perfect"-and he was. He even took the time to learn a special song we requested for my entrance as the bride. He was timely and professional, gave us great suggestions, and knew exactly how to work a ceremony and a cocktail hour. We didn't join cocktail hour but we could hear his music and knew it was just lovely. So many people complimented us on his music-how he knew when to play a nice soft song and when to liven it up. He plays beautifully and we would highly recommend him to anyone.

I would recommend Pavel over and over again! He was easy to communicate with and incredibly reasonably priced. After initially being quoted a ridiculous amount for a string quartet (which included a clause in the contract that said they wouldn't play if it was above a specific temp and I would still be required to pay them), we decided to go in a different direction. We have no regrets about that decision! He brought his own equipment and didn't charge us extra for the use of the pastor's microphone. We'd use him again in a heartbeat!

Pavel was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. If you are looking for an accomplished musician and reliable professional, look no further. His familiarity with weddings was so helpful in that he had great suggestions for song choices along with being able to work seamlessly with our officiant and wedding planner with minimal communication with them beforehand. He arrived well in advance of when we asked him to be at the venue and was set up well in advance of our guests arriving. He played classical guitar for the 30 minutes prior to our wedding, while our guests were seated and then played all the music for our wedding – processional, 3 solos (of which he learned and arranged “All of Me” for us), and recessional. In addition, he also played for the 90 minutes of our cocktail hour. He was outstanding. Our guests who were musicians themselves couldn’t stop talking about the quality of his playing. He even saved the day when our projector set up for our slideshow wasn’t set up the way we thought it would be. He had the cord we needed and graciously let us use it and then send it to him after the wedding.

Pavel is a gifted musician and made our ceremony and reception so beautiful! He responded quickly to any question or request I had and even learned a new song so I could sing it for my husband. I can't recommend Pavel enough!
