Peace of Cake

Peace of Cake was so easy to work with for our wedding, and they make DELICIOUS cake and cookies. We couldn't believe the cake could look that pretty and still taste great, unlike some other wedding cakes we've had. Thanks POC for making us a happy bride and groom! We can't wait to visit the bakery again!

Our cake and cupcake display were everything we wanted them to be! Kim and her team did an amazing job, prices are very reasonable, and delivery to our venue down the street was free. What more could you want?! Our guests loved all the cake flavors and got a kick out of the beach theme. One of my biggest regrets of my wedding day is just that I never got to finish my piece of cake!! Too busy dancing. But I know I'll be be back one day to enjoy another piece. We also ordered some crab-shaped frosted cookies to put into our welcome bags and those were a huge hit! They last a while too, we were still snacking on extras for days after the wedding. Thank you Peace of Cake!!

The ladies at Peace of Cake did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. We did a tasting several months prior to the wedding and they provided a sample of each of their four most popular cakes with the recommended filling and frosting. I initially went to the tasting wanting to have one flavor of cake - two max - and ended up doing a different flavor for each of the three tiers of our cake because it was so hard to choose! We did a marble cake with fudge filling and white chocolate buttercream; a white cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla buttercream; and a raspberry with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream. They were so delicious, I couldn't pick a favorite. On the day of the wedding, they waived the delivery fee since our venue was just down the road, and did a wonderful job arranging the flowers on top and down the sides of our cake. It was the first thing I saw when I entered the ballroom of our reception and it absolutely took my breath away; it was exactly what I had envisioned and so delicious. 100% recommend the Peace of Cakes team!

From our cake tasting to selecting and designing our cake...Peace of Cake was amazing. Kim listened to what we liked and wanted and our cake was perfect. I had pictures of different elements I wanted and she took my examples and make our cake exactly as we wanted it. Not only did the cake look amazing, it was delicious! And to top it off, it was the best value compared to other bakeries we visited. Our guests are still talking about how good our cake was! I would recommend Peace of Cake a million times over.

If you're getting married on Kent Island--you have to check out Peace of Cake! My husband and I have only wonderful things to say about their service and the quality of their desserts. The bakery itself is very inviting and laid-back and the staff was very friendly and accommodating during our tasting. They helped us to narrow down exactly what we wanted and perfectly replicated the ombré effect I wanted for our wedding cake. We chose to do a smaller bride/groom cake and cupcakes for our guests, which was great because we were able to have a variety of flavors and colors. Peace of Cake did a phenomenal job setting up the tiered cake/ cupcake display at the venue. It looked absolutely beautiful and everything was delicious! We also felt that the pricing was VERY reasonable as compared to some other bakeries in the area and nearby Annapolis. We couldn't be happier about our experience with Peace of Cake... all of our friends and family are still raving !

My husband and I are so happy that we chose Peace of Cake to bake our wedding day deserts! Kim made the entire process of choosing our deserts super easy! She provided many options at our tasting, but she helped us narrow things down to exactly what we wanted. She was also very knowledgeable in determining the quantity we should have of each item and the price she charged was super reasonable. She made us a beautiful wedding cake, a personalized groom’s cake, and an array of regular and mini cupcakes. She even personally delivered them all to our venue the morning of the wedding. We did not have to worry about a thing! Everything was absolutely delicious and I cannot wait to eat the top tier on our anniversary this December! Peace of Cake did a wonderful job at my daughter's wedding with desserts and wedding cake. I would recommend them to anyone hosting a wedding or an event that dessert is needed. Their staff is friendly, helpful and professional. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

I am not a fan of cake, but my cake was absolutely delicious and beautiful. The icing is not too sweet and the cake is just right. I had a 2-tiered cake with 130 cupcakes in different flavors. All were outstanding. The ladies are very nice and laid back. You cannot beat the price and I love that it's a small town bakery, right near our home and venue. The cake was gorgeous and just what I had imagined. They set it up for me at the venue and it is exactly what I had imagined. I plan on using Peace of Cake for years to come!

Peace of Cake provided a whole display for my wedding to include cupcakes, cookies, mini fruit tarts, mini cheesecakes, tuxedo strawberries, and a small cake for us to cut. We had a nautical theme to our wedding and they were right on point. They put anchors and other nautical themes on our cookies and cupcakes and they all looked amazing and everything tasted phenomenal too! Great value, great taste, great presentation-HIGHLY recommend!

We used Peace of Cake for our Nov. 2013 wedding and couldn't have been more pleased! Kim and her staff are really easy to work with and the make the MOST delicious cakes and cupcakes. Our guests all raved about cakes and cupcakes we served. They also listened to what we wanted for cake/cupcake design and pulled off a perfectly understated, yet beautiful cake and cupcake display. Loved the number of flavors (we ended up with 6 different flavors between our cake and cupcakes!). And best of all, they are really reasonable with pricing. I was actually a bit shocked when they gave us the total since it was nearly half the cost of a few other places we tried. And the cake was so much better! I'd highly recommend if you're considering them for your Eastern Shore wedding.

We had a Memorial Day Weekend wedding and decided to do pie a la mode for dessert, rather than a wedding cake. We purchased our pies from Peace of Cake after having a great tasting one morning in their quaint bakery. The pies were DELICIOUS! We had many options to choose from & went with apple, blueberry, peach, and pecan. It was a big hit among our guests! It felt great using a local vendor for a local wedding and the pies tasted homemade :)

Kim's place is first off, adorable. I love giving my business to the small business's and you won't at all be disappointed if you use Peace of Cake. Kim was extremely helpful in helping us make our decision on the wide variety of flavors that they have.

They take their time to listen to what you want! And it pays off! I love my cake tasted great and was beautiful! :)

Peace of Cake did a Wizard of Oz tiered cake for our wedding and it was fantastic! Everyone loved the unique feel of our cake and every tier was different and absolutely delicious!

This is a family owned bakery with the best cakes I have ever tasted. We arranged a meeting with this bakery for a cake tasting- for this tasting go hungry because their sample sizes are no joke! They have a list of any type of cake you could imagine combined with your choice of filling (strawberry, buttercream, lemon, mousse, etc.), and your choice of outside frosting. The list also includes the most popular selections, so we started with those for our tasting. Well just out of the four most popular sellers we had a hard time picking which combination we liked best- they were all so good!! We end up selecting one layer of white cake with white butter cream frosting with a strawberry filling (very delightful summertime cake) and two layer of chocolate chip cake with white chocolate buttercream filling and frosting. Needless to say, there was no left over cake at my wedding. In addition, Peace of Cake was very helpful in helping me design a cake to match my wedding theme. I had a seashell theme, so not only did the cake match my wedding colors, but it also was decorated with white chocolate seashells (which were also delicious!). To top it off, sprinkled graham cracker crumbs around the cake to look like sand and drew a heart in the "sand" with my husband and my initials in it. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who wants an over the top cake in taste and design and easy/friendly people to work with.

The ladies at Peace of Cake really know how to make some amazing cakes! From start to finish, they were great. We met with them for a complimentary tasting, and we were sold the second we tasted the first bite. The cakes were amazing and the value is perfect. They made an absolutely beautiful cake and it tasted just as good at the wedding as it did the day of the tasting. They were so helpful during the process as I changed my mind multiple times. Each time they offered advice and recommendations to help me organize my ideas. We were thrilled with them in every way!!

My 3 tier beach wedding cake was only $400. Since the bakery was right next to my venue the CBBC they delivered for free! Best price since other places were charging about $600-$800. Huge difference! The lady was so sweet and helped us create the wedding cake of our dreams!! My husband was very pleased too! They even did crumbled graham crackers on the bottom to make it look like sand. LOVE THEM! Highly recommend!! :)

Peace of Cake was a pleasure to work with and they were reasonably priced. The cake tasted amazing but I was not exactly impressed with it's appearance. It wasn't terrible, I've just seen prettier.

My husband and I are not from MD, so we were tasked to meet new vendors in an area that we were unfamiliar with. Thankfully we stumbled upon the great little gourmet bakery to do our wedding cake & cupcakes! From the moment we walked in, we were wowed. From the delicious treats in the bakery window to courteous and friendly service that the owners gave to customers, we felt safe trusting our wedding day cake to them. It was exactly as we imagined it. They even delivered the cake at no charge! Amazing! We got so many compliments on the cupcakes! They were so so so good! We are so thankful for Peace of Cake:)

Peace of Cake did an amazing job with our cake. My husband and I weren't able to meet them in person, so I emailed a couple pictures of cakes or styles that we liked and they went from there. The cake was beautiful and delicious!! I definitely recommend the caramel flavored filling.

My fiancé and I taste tested at 4 bakeries of comparable price range ($3.00 - $5.00 per person) in the greater Annapolis area. Peace of Cake was the only one that expressed no reservations about making our round 3 tiered buttercream exterior Mad Hatter cake. They also had the most delicious samples, which were extremely moist and airy with good flavor in the cake and the frosting. We particularly liked the golden vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling and fresh strawberry accents. I thought there was too much frosting for the amount of cake in the samples, but my request for more cake and less frosting in the wedding cake was happily accommodated. We had many compliments on both the appearance and taste of the cake. Some individuals raved about it, and a few individuals indicated their desire to order from Peace of Cake in the future. We are looking forward to our 1 year anniversary, when we plan to order a small cake just for us.

I had such a great experience working with Kim at Peace of Cake! From our very first meeting and tasting (which is a blast by the way), Kim was able to make our vision a reality! After the ceremony when I first entered the reception room, I was so excited when I saw how beautiful the cake was...and not only was it beautiful, it was DELICIOUS!!! I heard many compliments!

The cake tasted so unbelieveably good and the design was exactly what I wanted. Loved working w/ them.

They made the ordering process pretty easy and fit me in last minute.;I had ordered red accents and they turned out pink. The taste of the icing was kind of funny (don't get caramel buttercream) and there was a ton of it.

She flexed whenever I wanted to make changes. Very flexible!
