Peer is an amazing photographer! Neither my husband or I are big fans of being in the spotlight and having our picture taken. But Peer made the whole experience so easy and so much fun. And our wedding pictures perfectly reflect the essence of our family and our friends and our day. WE LOVE THEM! We highly recommend Peer to anyone looking for a photographer!

I was blown away by Peer. Super professional and amazing from start to finish. Wedding days are always stressful and have a lot going on, but he was always extremely communicative. He managed to make what could have been a lengthy process and made it very efficient when taking family photos after the ceremony. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing. I think every bride is nervous when waiting for her wedding photos to come back, but when I did I had tears of joy. Not only was he super fast ( I had them back in about two weeks) but I literally had hundreds of the most beautiful photos I had ever seen. He did such an amazing job that I don’t feel like any other photographer could have done better. Would highly highly recommend . What’s funny is when looking at the photos that it looks like he managed to be everywhere at once but I hardly saw him. He got SO many pictures of the guests and the reception and the activities but managed to not be invasive. He got lots of traditional photos but LOTS of candids which is awesome. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Peer did an amazing job capturing our wedding day at Point 16 in Big Sur! Although we had heavy fog, the pictures were beautiful and dynamic. We love them all. We laughed and cried as we looked through the album. Peer kept everyone on schedule to ensure all the shots were completed timely. He was very attentive and quick to capture all the special moments during the reception. We were also so excited to get the photos back so quickly. If you are getting married around California's Central Coast, you will have an amazing experience with Peer.

We met Peer as the photographer at a friend's wedding. The pictures were so great that we didn't even interview any other photographers to do our own wedding a year later. Peer and his team were extremely professional and hard working from start to finish! The pictures are awesome, we loved working with him and would recommend him to anyone!

Peer is AMAZING!!! He definitely went above and beyond at our wedding. We definitely didn't expect him to come to our rehearsal because most photographers don't and the venue was quite far away, but he did! He's very professional, organized, and talented! We contacted him about 9 months before our wedding and booked him about 7 months before our wedding. He's super affordable! We were so glad we got to meet him in Cambria and talk to him in person! He's very thorough and detail-oriented, and provided us with a very good timeline for us on the day of our wedding. He was so involved throughout our wedding that it felt like he was our personal day of coordinator! Peer tried his best to make sure we were on track with our time schedule as much as possible! We got our photos a lot quicker than expected and were very happy with the final product. We highly recommend hiring Peer for your big event! He will not disappoint! :)

We barely know where to start. On a scale of 1-10, Peer goes to 11! He helped us manage the time and types of photos so well and captured so many great moments, we don’t believe anyone could have done better. Peer has a great eye and seemed to be right where he needed to be to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments just as they happened throughout the day. He was able to get through family photos so quickly after the ceremony and keep everyone in line. He pays attention to little details as well, like making sure everyone took off their sunglasses. He came to the rehearsal the night before to meet everyone and give input on where people should stand and when to pause for photos to get the best shots. We did not pay for a videographer and with all the wonderful photos, we did not need one. He was able to capture the day so perfectly that we will be able to relive our perfect wedding day forever. He was there from getting ready in the morning, to the final dance at the end of the night. There is also the added bonus with Peer of the cost - we received quotes from several photographers so we know that he should absolutely charge more than he does (though we are happy he doesn’t, haha!) In the future, we would (and hopefully will) rehire Peer again. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone without hesitation! We ended up with over 1200 incredible photos, and he sent them to us only a week and a half after the wedding. We were still on our honeymoon, looking through our wedding photos. Peer - Thank you for the wonderful (and massive amount of) photos of our wedding day! You helped make the day more perfect than we ever could have hoped for!

Peer is wonderful! He was so accommodating of my last minute schedule changes and picture requests! He handled my rowdy wedding crowd in the most professional manner and the photographs are amazing! We even got them only two weeks after the wedding! I am so glad we used him as our photographer and I would highly recommend him!

My husband and I were extremely lucky to have had Peer as our photographer for our wedding day. He is full of energy, he is fun and SO talented. He spent all our wedding day with us, from 5 AM to 7PM, taking gorgeous pictures, nonstop. He was even ready to shoot by the beach after the wedding for some sunset pictures at no extra cost. We received our professional pictures very quickly, almost 3 weeks after the wedding. He is always reachable and happily accommodated specific requests we had. Not to mention, his super talented wife, who was my hair and make up artist.

Selecting a wedding photographer can be stressful and if you are there my advice is to just hire Peer and relax - you will be thrilled. He turned our pictures around so quickly and is a great communicator. We hired Peer after reading many glowing reviews, and not only did he live up to each one, he exceeded our expectations and handled every curveball that we threw his way. When our MoH went MIA for the rehearsal, he stepped in and acted as our ad-hoc coordinator; when almost everyone at the ceremony wanted a group shot with the newlyweds on the beach, he tactfully and professionally posed the entire group (and there were A LOT), then offered to take more shots with individual family members standing beside the bride and groom, and then walked along the beach with us for 200 yards, taking many stunning (and possibly some of our favorite) shots. Throughout our ceremony and reception, Peer was simultaneously blending into the background and gathering and directing memorable shots, constantly reminding us to enjoy ourselves and that our leisure and celebration was more important than any timeline, yet becoming direct with guests and family when needed to make sure that we as the bride and groom didn’t have to be and to keep us on schedule. Throughout the day, we had photos taken at multiple complex locations, such as summer gardens with dappled light, seaside cliffs with wind and bright sun, and a public beach with background beachgoers and reflections off the ocean. He was prepared and well-equipped to handle each of these challenges and did so effortlessly and almost without mention. We are extremely pleased with both his performance and how our photos turned out and we would highly recommend Peer to anyone planning a wedding in San Luis Obispo County or the California Central Coast, as he definitely helped to make our wedding amazing and our pictures a perfect representation of the day.

Peer is AWESOME! From our first meeting to how beautiful and perfect our wedding photos turned out, every part of the process was seamless and enjoyable. We did our engagement shoot with Peer as well, and had an absolute blast. He was so accommodating and professional throughout the entire process. In particular, we really appreciated his attention to detail and structure on the big day. Many photographers just make a schedule and show up on the wedding day to take pictures. Peer scouted the venue in advance, came to our rehearsal, got acquainted with our friends & family, and went over the schedule with everyone to make sure things ran smoothly. The photos he takes are absolutely gorgeous, and feel very personal and unique--we LOVE them and couldn't be happier with how they turned out. For the level of work Peer does, you'd expect to pay dearly for it, but that's the best part--he was also the most affordable photographer we researched in the area, by a long shot. Peer's photography is beautiful! We absolutely love our wedding photos, and he managed to capture some really beautiful moments between my husband and I. Peer was also such a pleasure to work with in planning the schedule for the wedding and on the big day itself. He was so much more flexible and accommodating than the other photographers I looked at. Unlike most of the wedding photographers in the area, Peer did not put a time limit on the day and he made himself available when it made most sense for our schedule. When we asked him to start a bit earlier to make sure he could spend some time with both the bride and groom getting ready, he was willing to do so without a problem. He also came and photographed our welcome party the evening before the wedding for a few hours, and we are so happy we have some professional shots of that evening. Throughout the day of the wedding, Peer kept us on-track with timing and made everybody feel comfortable and relaxed. We are so thrilled with the photos we have to remember our special day.

My husband and I got married last month at a private estate in Big Sur. We initially decided to go with Peer Johnson Photography because of his photography aesthetic and his price point. For the quality, his wedding day package was one of the lowest we had found and on top of it, he offered unlimited shoot time on the day of the wedding. I love that he cared enough to want to get all of the best moments throughout the night regardless of "overtime hours". We felt 100% comfortable having him be apart of our big day. Not only did he help us get through the nitty gritty of wedding photos in a quick and efficient manner (i.e. endless family portraits), but helped create a calm and exciting atmosphere prior to the ceremony during our individual photo sessions as well as while we were getting ready. He seemed to blend in seamlessly to our group of guests and never stuck out throughout the night as he captured our favorite moments. Because he had worked with some of our vendors at our venue before, it was so helpful that he was able to direct us with ease, especially since our entire timeline was running late due to a late shuttle bus full of guests. Once we received our photos, which came so much quicker than we expected, we were thrilled to see how he was able to capture the energy of the group and not to mention the exquisite lighting and scenery of Big Sur's coastline. The timing ended up perfect for our sunset dinner and created the warmest backdrop for our family style dinner. All in all, we feel that he was able to capture who we are and what we wanted to show our friends and family on our wedding day. Because we chose not to have a videographer, the photographer was an extremely important decision and we feel that we can now relive that day and the love that encircled us forever with these photos. AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER!!! My husband and I booked Peer online after looking at his portfolio. I instantly knew after looking through his pictures that we had to have him, and he did not disappoint. At our first meeting he was professional, polite and engaging. With his laid back personality, he was easy to talk with and immediately made us feel comfortable. He's also quite affordable for the quality of work and he's worth every penny! For months we planned our evening wedding in beautiful garden setting, but at the time of our event, Mother Nature had a different idea. The day of our wedding it rained, ranging from a light mist to a complete downpour. Plus, the wind picked up and the fog rolled in. What could have been a disaster for some brides, Peer turned into an awesome adventure of must have wedding pictures. So incredibly thankful he showed up early and took charge. Not only did he wrangle everyone over to get those must have wedding photos (multiple times) he patiently dealt with family members, both immediate and extended, who wouldn't listen, loud friends who clearly had to much to drink and rambunctious kids that wanted to run through every shot. Through it all, he had a smile on his face and completely exceeded our expectations. I think he exceeded everyone's expectations, as most of our guests commented on how fantastic he was. At the end of the day, it comes down to this.... He's friendly , professional and hardworking. He listened to the ideas in my head and transformed them into artistic creations we can always treasure. I would, hands down, hire Peer again and I would definitely recommend his services to all my friend and family. We can't thank him enough!!!

Peer was AMAZING! We had a fantastic experience, and cannot say enough great things about his talent and professionalism. He was very prompt with all of his communications, sent us a schedule of photographs he planned to take, attended our wedding rehearsal so the wedding party knew where to be so we could get the best photographs of our ceremony. We are so happy with our engagement and wedding photos! Peer went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was documented beautifully. He was polite, kind, and professional with our guests–which was a huge concern for us because we have dealt with rude photographers at other weddings and events. We absolutely loved working with Peer! He made us feel comfortable and captured tender loving moments. Stating the facts that Peer was on time, professional, and amazing to work with feels like an understatement for us! We booked him online easily and only met Peer the night before at our rehearsal dinner and instantly felt comfortable with him. I get emotional and tense and he helped me loosen up and it felt completely normal to have him there for the intimate moments! He really listened to what was important to us and that showed in the pictures! We had a crazy group of guests and Peer was everywhere and didn't miss a single opportunity! Peer was a joy to work with!! He shot our engagement photos and they turned out amazing! On your wedding day you will spend the most time with two people: your hair/makeup person and your photographer. You want to be sure those two people you really like being around. Peer is not only excellent at photographer, but a wonderful, fun person to be around. He made our day very special. After the wedding he sent us the photos two weeks later and quickly drafted an amazing album proof. We could not have asked for a better photographer and we highly recommend him!

It's been said before that your wedding day flies by and before you know it, it's over. This could not be more true. You're thinking about so many things at once and who's in what pictures isn't exactly the first thing on your mind. When you have a photographer like Peer who is so well organized and on his A-game, he does the thinking for you! I was so thankful I had Peer to bring everyone together for group shots and to keep us moving from table to table in order to get a picture with all of our guests. He put in time ahead of the wedding to get a feel for what areas of our venue would be best for pictures and gave us suggestions for the best photo ops. He was an immense help on a very busy day and I am so thankful we chose him as our photographer. He puts in the work and it shows!

I feel so fortunate to have had Peer there to capture our Big Sur wedding!! During our correspondence he responded quickly to any questions/concerns. On the actual wedding day he was shooting constantly and got tons of great shots of us, our friends & family, our venue, and all the little details of the decor, food, etc. He offers just the right amount of direction in regards to posing and positioning and his awesome attitude makes you feel very comfortable. The best thing about working with Peer is how professional he his- he was very familiar with our venue (Point 16) so he knew exactly where & when to get the shots through out the various points of the day. This allowed my groom and I to really experience our wedding day and celebrate with our guests rather than missing out because we were busy taking photos. Also, his turnaround time for delivering images is crazy fast. I was expecting a few weeks at the very earliest, but I had over 1,200 images waiting in my inbox before I even got home from my honeymoon! I booked Peer off a recommendation from another vendor (since I don't live in the area) and I am so glad I did! Peer is amazing to work with and his pictures speak for themselves (so beautiful)! He was super responsive right from when I first emailed him for general information through engagement pictures and the wedding. He is very organized and on top of things (like scheduling the timing of pictures that day and making sure we get all the shots we wanted) but also has a super calming/relaxed energy about him that made us feel comfortable the second we met him. It never felt like we were rushed and he kept reminding us to savor the moments and enjoy the time we had together on our wedding day. He offered enough suggestions on what we should do (i.e. walk this way, move your head that way), but not too much where it felt posed or stiff. I was a little worried when first booking him about the fact that he works by himself (doesn't come with a second photographer) since I always thought how could 1 photographer possibly get all shots. Well I was wrong, somehow he gets it all! My guests even mentioned they never really noticed him. He isn't one of those photographers running all over the place and distracting during a ceremony, but somehow he does get every shot you would want. Peer also has a clause in his contract that says he will have our wedding pictures ready within 4 weeks of our wedding. We got the link to see all the pictures within a week and a half while we were still on our honeymoon! To top it all off, Peer is one of the less expensive photographers in the area and the only one I found that also makes you an album (in addition to DVDs with all pics) and doesn't have a time limit on the day of (he was there from getting ready through the last dance)! Thank you so much Peer! We couldn't be happier :)

Peer was an excellent choice from Day One. Our initial hiring of him was very straightforward and easy, and he was willing to Skype with us since we were doing a destination wedding, making the whole thing more personal. The day of the wedding went perfectly - all our friends and family kept remarking about how Peer was so friendly and professional and also great about keeping us on schedule, making sure we got all the photos in, and making sure everyone took off their sunglasses for the important shots. Our photos turned out amazing - beautiful, creative, and personal - and the best part was that Peer got us the finished product before we even got back from our honeymoon!

Peer was exceptional. I was planning my wedding from Hawaii and he came highly recommended. We had a great chat on the phone and he asked a lot of questions on what I did and did not want. When the day came he was there to capture our day without making it all about the pictures. The pictures are gorgeous, organic, and captured the day/ night even better than I remembered it. We were on a tight budget and all of the local photographers we looked at in our range were not to our liking...they were all missing that special something. Then we came across Peer Johnson's photography. His work is very light, ethereal and romantic. He creates a fairytale aura around your special day. When we spoke to Peer he was very nice and willing to work within our budgetary limits. Peer was very organized and created a photo itinerary prior to the wedding. On the wedding day the itinerary was extremely helpful because he was familiar with our family and friends and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted of them. My husband and I do wish we had taken more time to get some close up intimate photos of just us but it was freezing and we were on a huge time restraint. Overall Peer captured some amazing moments. We are so pleased and feel so fortunate to have had him as our wedding photographer.

Peer was the photographer at our Yosemite Nat. Park Ahwahnee Hotel wedding. Booking him online was a breeze. He replies to any questions you have for him very quickly. He is super nice and genuine person which made it so easy to work with him. My husband and I are pretty shy and laid back people, so it was great that Peer would suggest poses for us to do. Without his direction it probably wouldn’t have come out that great lol. Peer captured so many amazing moments from our wedding. The pictures we received from him are absolutely stunning! I still get goose bumps when I see them. These photos are going to be something we cherish for a very long time. We really couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and we are truly lucky to have found him! He definitely puts 100% into his work. We highly recommend Peer!

Peer Johnson was our wedding photographer this past September in Big Sur, and we were beyond pleased with the photos he took, and also loved his professionalism and awesome vibe. We felt very comfortable with Peer during our more intimate moments—it was as if he wasn't there. Peer also was great dealing with unexpected circumstances: RAIN in Big Sur in September! He kept on schedule and got three times the amount of photos I was hoping for. It was difficult to weed through all the good ones to get down to a manageable number for our wedding album! A number of our guests commented on how great our photographer was, and now that they are seeing photos they are all super impressed with Peer's work. Peer's rates are also very reasonable and we really appreciated that. If you have the chance to book Peer, book him before he's unavailable and don't look back!

Peer, is one of the nicest, easiest going people I have met. My wedding day was one busy blur, but the one constant was Peer who seemed to be everywhere at once! He exceeded my expectations and then some, and his pictures speak for themselves. Every spot he picked had perfect lighting and where exceptionally stunning, and others spots that I wanted that seemed like an impossibility due to poor light, etc. came out beautifully. I had several wedding party comment on how laid back and great he was to work with, and he really was. My husband and the groomsmen loved him! He worked the whole day nonstop, and tried very hard to capture the shots that I had in my head, and every shot he took came out better than I imagined. I had so many I couldn't chose. He is very affordable for the quality photographs he produces; which was honestly one of my biggest reliefs in the wedding planning process given how exceptional photographers seemed to be so far out of my budget! My friend paid twice as much for her photographer, and I dare say my photos might just be slightly better;) And if the wedding wasn't enough, he went out of his way afterwords to make sure my favorite photographs were just perfect for me! Overall, he was awesome. If Peer does your wedding, you can check photographer off your list and not worry at all about your photos being beautiful:)

Wedding photos can be expensive so I was elated to find Peer who takes beautiful photos and doesn't charge exorbitant amounts.He was extremely organized and efficient with our photo schedule ensuring that we had more time to spend celebrating with our guests! He was very professional and punctual, and I loved that he was present at our rehearsal run through which helped him acclimate to our bridal party. He also took a TON of photos. We just got them back and we are overwhelmed at all of the beautiful choices we have to choose from. His services are very professional and affordable, I would highly recommend him to any bride!

We were so pleased with Peer, and I cannot recommend him enough! Prior to the wedding, he spent time with me making sure he knew the names of key people, discussing locations, and getting a general feel for our wedding. He offered great ideas that I had not thought of, and it turned out amazing. The day of, he blended right in working his magic and made everyone comfortable. After the wedding, many of my friends and family members commented on how great he was! I just received the pictures last week. They were so good, and just looking through them reminds me of special moments I had forgotten during that crazy day!
