n the big day itself. He was so much more flexible and accommodating than the other photographers I looked at. Unlike most of the wedding photographers in the area, Peer did not put a time limit on the day and he made himself available when it made most sense for our schedule. When we asked him to start a bit earlier to make sure he could spend some time with both the bride and groom getting ready, he was willing to do so without a problem. He also came and photographed our welcome party the evening before the wedding for a few hours, and we are so happy we have some professional shots of that evening. Throughout the day of the wedding, Peer kept us on-track with timing and made everybody feel comfortable and relaxed. We are so thrilled with the photos we have to remember our special day.

owest we had found and on top of it, he offered unlimited shoot time on the day of the wedding. I love that he cared enough to want to get all of the best moments throughout the night regardless of "overtime hours". We felt 100% comfortable having him be apart of our big day. Not only did he help us get through the nitty gritty of wedding photos in a quick and efficient manner (i.e. endless family portraits), but helped create a calm and exciting atmosphere prior to the ceremony during our individual photo sessions as well as while we were getting ready. He seemed to blend in seamlessly to our group of guests and never stuck out throughout the night as he captured our favorite moments. Because he had worked with some of our vendors at our venue before, it was so helpful that he was able to direct us with ease, especially since our entire timeline was running late due to a late shuttle bus full of guests. Once we received our photos, which came so much quicker than we expected, we were thrilled to see how he was able to capture the energy of the group and not to mention the exquisite lighting and scenery of Big Sur's coastline. The timing ended up perfect for our sunset dinner and created the warmest backdrop for our family style dinner. All in all, we feel that he was able to capture who we are and what we wanted to show our friends and family on our wedding day. Because we chose not to have a videographer, the photographer was an extremely important decision and we feel that we can now relive that day and the love that encircled us forever with these photos. e and engaging. With his laid back personality, he was easy to talk with and immediately made us feel comfortable. He's also quite affordable for the quality of work and he's worth every penny! For months we planned our evening wedding in beautiful garden setting, but at the time of our event, Mother Nature had a different idea. The day of our wedding it rained, ranging from a light mist to a complete downpour. Plus, the wind picked up and the fog rolled in. What could have been a disaster for some brides, Peer turned into an awesome adventure of must have wedding pictures. So incredibly thankful he showed up early and took charge. Not only did he wrangle everyone over to get those must have wedding photos (multiple times) he patiently dealt with family members, both immediate and extended, who wouldn't listen, loud friends who clearly had to much to drink and rambunctious kids that wanted to run through every shot. Through it all, he had a smile on his face and completely exceeded our expectations. I think he exceeded everyone's expectations, as most of our guests commented on how fantastic he was. At the end of the day, it comes down to this.... He's friendly , professional and hardworking. He listened to the ideas in my head and transformed them into artistic creations we can always treasure. I would, hands down, hire Peer again and I would definitely recommend his services to all my friend and family. We can't thank him enough!!!

He definitely went above and beyond to captured all of the great moments of our wedding day to give us memories that will last us a lifetime. I was so thankful I had Peer to bring everyone together for group shots and to keep us moving from table to table in order to get a picture with all of our guests. He put in time ahead of the wedding to get a feel for what areas of our venue would be best for pictures and gave us suggestions for the best photo ops. He was an immense help on a very busy day and I am so thankful we chose him as our photographer. He puts in the work and it shows!

He is very organized and on top of things (like scheduling the timing of pictures that day and making sure we get all the shots we wanted) but also has a super calming/relaxed energy about him that made us feel comfortable the second we met him. It never felt like we were rushed and he kept reminding us to savor the moments and enjoy the time we had together on our wedding day. He offered enough suggestions on what we should do (i.e. walk this way, move your head that way), but not too much where it felt posed or stiff. I was a little worried when first booking him about the fact that he works by himself (doesn't come with a second photographer) since I always thought how could 1 photographer possibly get all shots. Well I was wrong, somehow he gets it all! My guests even mentioned they never really noticed him. He isn't one of those photographers running all over the place and distracting during a ceremony, but somehow he does get every shot you would want. Peer also has a clause in his contract that says he will have our wedding pictures ready within 4 weeks of our wedding. We got the link to see all the pictures within a week and a half while we were still on our honeymoon! To top it all off, Peer is one of the less expensive photographers in the area and the only one I found that also makes you an album (in addition to DVDs with all pics) and doesn't have a time limit on the day of (he was there from getting ready through the last dance)! Thank you so much Peer! We couldn't be happier :)

g went perfectly - all our friends and family kept remarking about how Peer was so friendly and professional and also great about keeping us on schedule, making sure we got all the photos in, and making sure everyone took off their sunglasses for the important shots. Our photos turned out amazing - beautiful, creative, and personal - and the best part was that Peer got us the finished product before we even got back from our honeymoon!

When we spoke to Peer he was very nice and willing to work within our budgetary limits. Peer was very organized and created a photo itinerary prior to the wedding. On the wedding day the itinerary was extremely helpful because he was familiar with our family and friends and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted of them. My husband and I do wish we had taken more time to get some close up intimate photos of just us but it was freezing and we were on a huge time restraint. Overall Peer captured some amazing moments. We are so pleased and feel so fortunate to have had him as our wedding photographer.

Any time I told people about our wedding venue, I pulled up his website because the photos were gorgeous enough to do the venue justice. He was very professional, punctual, and helpful. He took tons of great shots and thought of everything. On top of all that, his wife, Rhonda, did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup. They're a great team!

My husband and I are pretty shy and laid back people, so it was great that Peer would suggest poses for us to do. Without his direction it probably wouldn’t have come out that great lol. Peer captured so many amazing moments from our wedding. The pictures we received from him are absolutely stunning! I still get goose bumps when I see them. These photos are going to be something we cherish for a very long time. We really couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and we are truly lucky to have found him! He kept on schedule and got three times the amount of photos I was hoping for. It was difficult to weed through all the good ones to get down to a manageable number for our wedding album! A number of our guests commented on how great our photographer was, and now that they are seeing photos they are all super impressed with Peer's work. Peer's rates are also very reasonable and we really appreciated that. If you have the chance to book Peer, book him before he's unavailable and don't look back!

. Every spot he picked had perfect lighting and where exceptionally stunning, and others spots that I wanted that seemed like an impossibility due to poor light, etc. came out beautifully. I had several wedding party comment on how laid back and great he was to work with, and he really was. My husband and the groomsmen loved him! He worked the whole day nonstop, and tried very hard to capture the shots that I had in my head, and every shot he took came out better than I imagined. I had so many I couldn't chose. He is very affordable for the quality photographs he produces; which was honestly one of my biggest reliefs in the wedding planning process given how exceptional photographers seemed to be so far out of my budget! My friend paid twice as much for her photographer, and I dare say my photos might just be slightly better;) And if the wedding wasn't enough, he went out of his way afterwords to make sure my favorite photographs were just perfect for me! Overall, he was awesome. If Peer does your wedding, you can check photographer off your list and not worry at all about your photos being beautiful:)

had to pay for accommodation or a traveling fee... We realized that wasn't worth it. We didn't want to spend much on a photographer but realized it was inevitable. We did not want cheap pictures. So I shopped around a bit. I went to a bridal show and all the photographers were way out of price, especially for what they provide... In my opinion. We stumbled upon Peer Johnson's website, maybe even by referral from our venue. However it happened, I am BEYOND thankful!! His price was not only lower than the others I was contemplating (even with the extra fee for the engagement session!) but he was completely reasonable and within budget! Weddings get expensive and we did not want to spend a lot.. But we also didn't want to skimp on the pictures. I was initially worried because he was just offering one photographer, while others offered two. However, after receiving my proofs yesterday... My worries should have been nonexistent! He got angles I didn't even know he captured! He got impromptu pictures of someone I hold close to my heart who happen to live far away and was there at the venue the same weekend for a woman's retreat. I have nothing but positive things to say about this photographer! I also realized he was voted number one photographer in the past, thanks to knot. And it is a well deserving award! He is a genuine man who knows how to not only capture life and color through his lens but also knows how to do impeccable editing! His services were quick and the quality did NOT lack. I was beyond impressed and he exceeded all expectations. Our engagement session was an hour and came back with hundreds. We were impressed with that, but then our wedding of 30 people came back with 800 photos!!! ALL beautifully captured moments and beautiful edit skills provided. There were seriously about five I didn't like and it had nothing to Do with the picture but my own flaw of not tightening my face or a crooked smile, etc LOL you know how women can be critical. Well he knows exactly what angles to get and when to get them. He gave us our proofs within 6 days!!! Talk about impressive. He also captured every single detail of the decor and that was exactly what I wanted. I will, without a doubt, be booking him again for other events! He is well worth the money. Take a look at his website for pictures, those alone will blow you away! He knows how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera which is important to have the photos come out naturally. He also is very skilled and knows how to utilize the outdoor light. Absolutely loved the pictures from our wedding, if I haven't said it enough! A photographer is not something you want to skip on because you can only do the pictures once! Peer was not only affordable but his quality was beyond impressive! d solely on the quality of photos posted online. Since we had a semi-destination wedding in Cambria, we were unable to meet with anyone in person. We decided to hire Peer, and finally met him just a couple days before the wedding! Meeting him at our venue, Robin's Restaurant, we were a little nervous, but found that there was no need to be. Peer was a very positive regular guy, whose personality meshed with ours easily. His professional organization and experience in the business showed when he presented to us a logical outline of when he felt photos should be taken throughout the event. Double checking with us, he verified which family photos would be most important as well. The wedding day came and he was right on time. Familiar with the area, he was able to suggest locations for individual and group wedding party photos before the ceremony. At the time I thought that the location we chose was a little questionable, but trusted that he knew what he was doing. When I saw the photo's later, they definitely knocked my socks off! During the ceremony, Peer was a one manned show, so he was busy running around getting all of the shots he needed. Some say that having two photographers is a necessity in order to get all of the photos you want. However, Peer was able to get everything. I almost feel like I have too many amazing photos from the wedding! I can't decide on my favorites because I really do love them all! Peer really knows how to work with what you give him, and make it even more magical. There are too many wedding photos I want to put on canvas and hang all over my condo. I need more wall space!!! I do have one suggestion for brides and grooms. If you have ideas for photos, great, but I suggest you tell your wedding party to put any of their egos aside (nicely) and do whatever Peer asks. He knows what he's talking about, and can see the whole picture while the wedding party cannot. On this day, your photos are about what YOU want! Not the rest of your peeps. And you are the ones paying for it. Anyway, working with Peer was truly a pleasure! I do hope to work with him again in the future. He is very responsive, professional, and talented, and his services are high quality and inexpensive. He did a fantastic job celebrating our wedding through his artistic mean.

Our wedding was an all weekend affair and from the moment he arrived, early in the morning to well after all the dancing, he worked tirelessly to capture the essence of our wedding. He had wonderful ideas for our photographs, and was open to all our ideas as well. He has truly mastered the art of photography. ading up to the big day, came to our rehearsal to meet the family and take a few shots, came to my hotel room to get some getting ready photos, stayed till the bitter end at the reception and complimented everyone the whole time. Peer dealt with my loud Italian family very well, quickly got through the post ceremony photos to get everyone to cocktail hour with time to spare and was a stealth ninja during the evening to get some great candid shots. There are just a couple things I would have asked for had I known at the time... during the post ceremony photos I would have liked him to tell us that our poses should be tighter (there is a big gap between my Mom and I and it looks awkward) and my dress was kind of bunchy. I would have liked a few more posed shots during the reception and a few less candid ones. There weren't very many edits done to the photos and a lot of our flaws are obvious (to me). Peer is absolutely amazing and I am so glad we found him. Those after thought details can be taken care of by having someone on your end play photographer's assistant.

ff. Throughout the day he was easygoing, yet organized. His ideas for photos were a perfect balance of candids and portraits. Peer hustled all day, making sure not to miss anything. ick. Peer is exceptionally personable and professional. He kept the shoot stress free for us and was very helpful in coaching us into more varied and exciting shots. (OK, were not the most comfortable in front of the camera the whole wedding process can be daunting!) The difficult work of scouting locations, finding the right angles and lighting as well as lens changes went on without us noticing. We did notice him looking into the camera and saying “This light is amazing.” Well, it was and the shots are stunning- we’re so happy we found a great photographer and can relive the memory of our wedding day with such great photos.
