I highly recommend Peggy to officiate your wedding ceremony! She was able to draw “our wedding story” out of us with a questionnaire we completed several months in advance of the wedding. Using the questionnaire, she created a unique and one of a kind wedding ceremony that was customized to my husband and me. My husband is a man of few words, and even with this challenge in mind, Peggy was able to create a beautiful wedding ceremony. She crafted a ceremony that was funny at moments and touching in others. It told the story of how we met and how our relationship evolved over time to our wedding day. She is a beautiful public speaker and has a wonderful talent for relaying the story of a couple to their guests. I loved this aspect of Peggy’s talent because it told our story to our wedding guests that were not familiar with how we met. The length of our ceremony was not too long and not too short and I felt all of our guests engaged in the moment. Peggy’s presence and talent for story-telling was perfect for our small and intimate wedding. She makes herself completely accessible and is professional, punctual, and has a peaceful presence. You will not be disappointed by choosing her to be a part of your wedding day.

Peggy was an absolute blessing before, during, and after our wedding day! She personalized the ceremony exactly how we wanted it, and since this was a destination wedding, and we couldn’t meet before the ceremony, she scheduled several phone calls at times convenient to us to go over the ceremony, wording, and plans for the big day. Where to start! Peggy is probably the best officiant out there. From the very beginning she took the time to get to know my husband and I to truly personalize and customize our ceremony to us. She has a decent size questionnaire that truly delves into your relationship, and at the time of the ceremony, every single person was laughing, crying and engaged into the ceremony. She has unique spins on a classic ceremony where people truly enjoyed listening and being there in the moment - which is the most special and most important thing there could be! Peggy was AMAZING at our ceremony this past weekend in Sanibel, FL. Right from the very start I was confident that she would do a great job but I can't believe how many of our guests told us that it was the best ceremony they had ever witnessed. Peggy gave the ceremony a personal touch by utilizing quotes from our couple's questionnaires and she allowed us to edit and make any changes we saw fit prior to our wedding day. She was very communicative throughout the entire process, which is a huge deal for me and something that I definitely appreciated. We highly recommend Peggy Lewis as a wedding officiant. We cannot say enough good things about her. We live in New York and had a destination wedding on Sanibel Island, so we had to research our offficiants online and do everything over the phone. We researched a number of officiants before deciding on Peggy. Far too many (frankly, all but Peggy) were just too by-the-numbers. It was all about doing a generic ceremony. Peggy is anything but generic. To start, she gives you a questionnaire to fill out where she asks you questions about how you met, what you love about each other, things like that. Each of you fills out the questionnaire separately without sharing with the other, and then sends it back to Peggy. She then builds the ceremony around your answers, liberally quoting everything you wrote. Doing that made the ceremony incredibly personal and unique to us. Peggy also provided us numerous quotes from musicians, poets, philosophers and religious people and texts and asked us to pick any we felt spoke to us. She then wove those into the ceremony as well. She even offered us fantastic suggestions for the ceremony. She suggested we do the sand ceremony, which we did. And she suggested that she should stand off to the side from us, rather than in between us, as is common in most ceremonies. As a result, all the pictures of us during the ceremony were just of us, not us and the officiant. Peggy really knows her stuff. All that, and Peggy is just an incredibly good writer. I’m a good writer myself, and do a lot of writing for a living, so I know what it means to be a good writer. And that is Peggy. She will weave everything together to make for a beautiful ceremony. And a few days before the ceremony, when we had our final prep call with her, she gave us the best advice. She told us to take some time for us the morning of our wedding – go for a walk on the beach or sit at a café and have a cup of coffee. Once the day’s events start, there’s no time to be alone with each other. It was wonderful advice that we’ve since shared with others we know are getting married. Peggy made our wedding ceremony so personal and so genuine. Our families and friends still comment on how wonderful the ceremony was. We cannot recommend her enough. She is worth EVERY penny.

Let me first start by saying that this woman is a genius. I was very skeptical when it came to filling out a questionnaire before I was about to get married. My partner and I had been together for 15 years why would I have any interest in filling out a questionnaire? Well the truth is that once I sat down and honestly answered the questions the purpose was abundantly clear to me. Peggy Lewis was able to draw out of both of us what it was like when we first met, how our relationship blossomed, and reminded us of how that love and devotion was translated into our current situation. She asked the right questions and made me think about what it meant to make the commitment of getting married. She then took the things that Matthew and I said and created a ceremony that was filled with quotations and readings interlaced with things that we had put into our questionnaires. It was a magical experience and I think that it wouldn't have been the same if weren't for Peggy and her artistic and compassionate linguistic talent. Let me start by saying that I couldn't be happier with Peggy. I've been to a few weddings and the ceremonies always seem pretty generic and boring to me. I feel like the officiants don't put much thought into it and it's always the same thing over and over again. Peggy was the complete opposite. She made sure our ceremony was unique and personal. She took the time to get to know us and to understand what we were looking for (and wanted to avoid), and created a ceremony that not only included the readings we wanted, but also incorporated personal details about my wife and me that allowed her to tell our story. She also sent us the ceremony prior to the wedding so we could review it and make sure we were happy with it. Her delivery was also great. Everyone at our wedding really enjoyed Peggy's ceremony, but more importantly, my wife and I loved it.

The moment we first met Peggy, she had such a warm, welcoming personality, we knew we wanted her to conduct our ceremony straight away. It was easy to make payments via Paypal, and Peggy was so flexible with any information we wanted to use. She gave us a list of sample readings and vows we could use, or we could provide any that we wanted to use. Any queries we had, Peggy was quick to respond to. Peggy asked us to fill in a questionnaire individually about our relationship which she then referenced during the ceremony. Her lighthearted approach made everyone feel included. There was laughter and tears during the ceremony. Even our guests were hugging Peggy after the ceremony. It is a ceremony we will definitely treasure forever.

Peggy gave us a truly unique ceremony. She had us fill out some questionnaires separately and go over some sample readings to get to know us better and create a more personalized ceremony. Then we talked over the phone with her to go over more details. She really made an effort to get to know more about our relationship and what type of ceremony we wanted--how we wanted our guests to leave feeling. Peggy did an absolutely great job of creating a very upbeat and fun ceremony that was filled with stories about us and even some rock song lyrics. She included some stories that we had written about when we met that had us and our guests laughing. It really set the stage for a fun night. Peggy was also very professional and punctual, and sent us a copy of our ceremony within a few weeks of our wedding. She created a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted and one that we will never forget and our guests still talk about. Peggy was our officiant for our wedding at The Seagate Beach Club in Delray Beach on 8/22/14. We only met Peggy 2 weeks prior to our ceremony and she took the time to meet with us and get to know us. Through questionnaires and conferences, she was able to learn everything about our love story without even having met me or the groom before the actual ceremony. She wrote a speech that was personal and unique and found a way to incorporate every detail we requested. My spouse and I are both lawyers and can be very picky, but Peggy captured the exact tone and quality we wanted and worked with us to make whatever revisions we wanted. Peggy did such a wonderful job for me well before, as well as on, my big day. I talked to many different officiants in the Miami area. I wanted a ceremony that used a script that I came up with, so it would be meaningful to me. All of the other officiants I talked to dropped the ball. They couldn't answer one simple question for me- would they be willing to read it? They either took their time answering me or tried to change what I had written .It's amazing how people don't listen to what you want. Many officiants want to only use what they have written themselves. Peggy was the only one I found who was willing to read my script, respond to my questions without even asking me to reserve her first, as other officiants did. She was kind and intelligent and a great listener. She was comfortable with reading what I wanted. She showed up in plenty of time the day of and performed my ceremony beautifully. My husband and I hired Peggy M. Lewis as our celebrant for our wedding on August 10, 2013 and she was the best choice for the position. We were a bit worried because we had someone officiating out wedding prior to contacting her and they sort of bailed out 3 months before our wedding after about 4-5 months of preparation. We weren't sure we'd find someone but were lucky enough to come across Peggy. She was accommodating and friendly from the beginning and made us feel very comfortable about the process. She was very patient and worked with us to make our ceremony the best it could be. It was beautiful and I'm still getting compliments from guests on it! I would highly recommend Peggy to anyone who's getting married, she's the most stress-free and guaranteed successful option.

Peggy was extremely helpful in making our ceremony exactly what we wanted. She sent us multiple suggestions of readings and vows based on what she thought would be appropriate after having a conversation with us on the phone. Our wedding ceremony allowed for our guests to truly get to know my husband and I, and Peggy was able to connect with our audience during the ceremony as well. I felt as though Peggy took extra time to get to know my husband and I (which, for most, would have been difficult to do because this was a destination wedding). Peggy was the first officiant which I intervied, and the only one. After our first meeting my mother and I looked at each other and said "She's the one!". From the moment she began to explain her passion for writing, romance and what she does it was evident that she would bring that passion to my ceremony. I also loved that she stood infront and to the side of us during the cereomony so we did not have our back turned to our guests, rather we could look at them and at each other- it really made the moment special- and made our guests feel involved. Since the wedding, various guests have called to comment on how "wonderful", "romantic" & "entertaining" the ceremony was. As for my husband and I, it was the perfect moment, hearing our story told as we look into each others eyes, looking at our hands and Peggy recited a blessing of the hands, repeating our vows... it was the perfect marriage, and one which thouroughly relfects who we are and who we are together. A beautiful start to a beautiful marriage. I am so glad that we choose Peggy Lewis as our wedding Officiant!
