I used Pellegrino’s to cater my wedding. The food was good and working with them prior to the wedding was good, but that is where my positives end. The set up that they displayed was very basic...I expected for the priced that I paid to have a ...good presentation. I went through a local bbq company for our rehearsal and she had a beautiful set up and display, so to walk out on your wedding day and not be impressed at all was disappointing. Next thing thing is that we were supposed to start eating dinner by 6:00...when the bridal party walked out to eat at about 6:10 they were not ready. The staff did not greet me with a smile or look happy. A few of my guest complained to me about their lack of energy, and how they saw them smoking very close by. I would say my biggest disappointment was with their clean up. I rented real plates and silverware (because Pellegrino’s does plastic) and I confirmed with Maria that they would clear the tables and wipe down the dishes, she said totally and that that is part of their service. However, the day of the wedding Pellegrino’s staff had to be asked multiple times to clear off the tables, my mom said they again, gave her attitude. My guest were staking their dirty dishes up at the table...that is SO EMBARRASSING. Their staff should of been ON IT and enthusiastic, you’re at a wedding, at least pretend to be happy! The next day when we came to clean up, there were still plates and silverware EVERYWHERE all over the tables!! I wish I would of taken pictures. That means my guest were sitting at their tables all night with plates and silverware still at their tables? Most of those small plates left on the table were clean but still you need to CLEAR the table!! Also, they did not clean ANY of my plates or silverware, they just stacked it in the back on the barn....so my mother and I spent 2 hours the next day cleaning dishes when I PAID Pellegrino’s to do that. My wedding planners also brought to my attention that they ran out of food!! I double checked a few days before and made sure that there would be enough, but there wasn’t. I paid for 150 and I had about 142 guest and they stilllll ran out of food?? I paid A LOT to have Pellegrino’s cater my wedding...and they did the BARE MINIMUM, if I could change one thing about my wedding it would be to have gone with someone else. I spoke with Maria about my issues and she offered me a gift card, which is a nice gesture but still doesn’t change what happened on my wedding day. I will not be recommending this catering service, nor will my wedding planners.
