We had Ian from Penny Palmer Photography for our wedding on Maui. He was wonderful. He captured beautiful and creative pictures while putting us at ease. He also supplied us with some great island info.

We booked penny Palmer photography as part of a package with aloha Maui dream weddings. The photographer was exceptional! She managed to capture the most amazing photos.. and we didn’t feel as if we were part of a photo shoot! It was natural and easy! She captured us as ourselves and in real moments we shared. She captured the most beautiful parts of the ceremony that were more beautiful in print than we had in our memory of that day! We couldn’t have been more pleased with our photos or the responsiveness of receiving them. If your reading this review. And want your day to be fun. Lighthearted and as easy as you can imagine!! Penny is a magician behind the camera! She captured the most beautiful moments of our most special day, she is extremely professional and has such an amazing personality. I have used many professional photographers on the mainland and she is hands down THE BEST! I highly recommend that you make the right choice and have her capture your most special day.

With this being our first trip off the mainland US and not knowing what to expect, as a photographer, Penny brought us the experience of a lifetime. We expected a run of the mill conveyor belt photography service and were provided a breathtaking experience where we were catered to, explained, and put as the center of attention every step of the way. We were asked to provide a synopsis of our relationship prior to our vacation and were astounded when she recalled so many details, as if they she did her homework to tailor the experience to us with extreme precision. Exceeding expectation is an understatement. We can't recommend Penny enough!!!!

Our wedding was perfect and everything went so smoothly! I really appreciated Darci being so attentive and helping us sort everything out so quickly. It was our dream wedding elopement. The officiant was so sweet and made the ceremony feel so special. The photographer was very detail oriented and so nice as well! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience 😊

With Darci as my wedding planner and Nicole as my photographer, I could not have asked for a better duo! Darci made the months, weeks, days, and even hours before my wedding stress-free and magical. Being a gal who is rarely a fan of being in front of the camera, I was surprised at how well Nicole was able to capture real personality and smiles. Penny is a one-of-a-kind photographer! She allowed us to have fun and feel so relaxed throughout our whole wedding, not to mention the gold class photos the she managed to produce for us. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt at ease whilst always maintaining her professional approach. We did not give specific instruction to Penny, we allowed her to be creative and explore the kind of photographs she wanted to take, this was the best decision we could have ever made! Our photos did not look like your ‘typical’ staged and posed wedding photos, they are expressive, fun and romantic with the beautiful scenery and views captured exactly as we saw them (if not even better!). We we fortunate enough to hire Penny, along with Aloha Maui Dream Weddings, for our recent wedding in Maui, and it was the best choice we could have made. Two of the most important qualities for a wedding photographer, in my opinion, are 1) creating gorgeous photographs that truly capture the heart and spirit of the event, and 2) being unobtrusive in the process of creating those photos. And Penny excelled at both of these things. When we saw our photo album from her, we were blown away by the beauty of the pictures, the perfect exposures, backgrounds, and lighting....but most of all, the way she absolutely captured the magic of the day and the joy that we were feeling in those moments. Aloha Maui Dream Wedding made planning so easy. There was no stress or worries going into the wedding day. There were certain details we did not want in the ceremony and they made sure they were not included. Penny was our photographer she was so easy to be around and be ourselves. Darci and Penny were fantastic! They made our wedding experience completely stress free and the ceremony was beautiful. Our families were so impressed with how smoothly everything went, especially since we live far from Hawaii and it was my first time visiting so I didn’t know what to expect.

Penny perfectly captured our intimate wedding ceremony at Makena Cove, Maui. Everything during the ceremony seemed natural - it didn’t seem like Penny was even there but when we got the photos she every moment of the ceremony was there! After the official parted the ceremony was over, she guided us to take some really amazing shots at the beach where the ceremony took place. She was definitely very experienced and knew the right angles but at the same time she made it fun, and it shows on the photos. Penny Palmer Photography was included in our Aloha Maui Dream Weddings package but originally we only selected an option with viewing the full wedding gallery for 14 days and then picking the best 3 photos. We loved Penny’s photos so much that we decided to buy the whole gallery! The price was very reasonable for the the amazing high quality photos that we got. We already shared the photos with our family and friends and everyone loves them! Mahalo for your amazing work!

What we expected to be an amazing day Darci and Penny made INCREDIBLE!! From the start they set our minds at ease by replying quickly to any emails we sent answering any questions we had, setting our minds at ease that they had everything handled and we didn't need to worry about anything because they had it all sorted! Our wedding day was perfect, Our Beach was the perfect location, our own little paradise. We loved how it was focused on our relationship, our trials during our time together. It made the ceremony so personal and knowing it was specific to us was lovely! We not only had an awesome wedding day we met two people who we were honoured to share our day with. The photo's told the story of our wedding so well, we are able to share our day with our family and friends even though they weren't there. Thank you so much Darci and Penny, we are so grateful!

We had our initial wedding planned by Darci and photographed by Penny and it was an amazing experience! They both were very welcoming and accommodating with every ask. We had such a connection with both Darci and Penny that when our 5 year anniversary rolled around we didn't think twice to reach out to them to capture the special moment again for us! Penny was an absolute joy to work with. Our photos are stunning. She knew just how to make the lighting work with the sunset. I wasn't sure what to expect from photos on the beach but she blew away any preconceived notions of "elopement beach photos." My husband and I couldn't just pick a limited amount of them for our package we selected... we ended up buying them all. They were all just so good!

She knows just exactly how to capture the feeling of the moment, and she played with the light so well at our beach vow renewal ceremony at sunset that each and every frame tells perfectly just the story we hoped to tell. Darci and Penny, Where do I start?! I was never the girl that dreamed about their fairytale wedding growing up. I never imagined my perfect wedding dress, hair style or decor. Not to Imply that I never thought it would happen one day, it was just not something I pictured as a little girl. When Rob and I got engaged, I had NO IDEA where to even start! I joined all of the bridal email list to hopefully gain some clarity. It didn't work, lol. Overwhelmed doesn't even begin to touch on how I was feeling. After Rob and I decided that we would "elope" in Maui, it got even more overwhelming. How was I supposed to plan our wedding 4,605 miles away. I googled so many companies. I almost chose a different company until they sent me a sample wedding video. It made me cringe. I started focusing more on the reviews of these companies. I came across Aloha Maui Dream Weddings and loved the reviews I was reading. I reached out one night and the planning began. We put 100% blind trust in these women solely based on social proof and that is why I hope anyone reading this, that might be on the fence, chooses AMDW! From the start, Darci put my mind at ease. She was readily available for me whenever I wanted to talk, even with a 6hour time difference and anytime I started to panic, she would bring me back to normal and reassure that everything would be great! She scheduled our marriage license appt, she linked me up with Bea from Classic Elegance Artistry who made me feel like a princess and she made sure every single detail was perfect! We had an awesome unity sand ceremony that included my son, who also got a Lei during the Lei exchange. These 2 ladies then hiked almost a MILE down a cliff to accommodate a photo shoot that we really, really wanted. It was hot and uncomfortable but once we were down there, Penny was in her zone. She is so professional and so good at what she does. I could not have asked for more from these two! For the little girl who never dreamed about her wedding day, If I had, I am POSITIVE it was exactly how June 29th 2018 went. We are glad to have you both as our Ohana now! We love you! Mahalo!

Our photos were absolutely mind blowing! They were everything I could imagine plus! Penney is very talented and takes her time capturing the most amazing photos! We can’t wait to have more pictures by her when we go back to renew our wedding vowes!

We were suppose to have a dear friend of ours fly out to Hawaii to take our wedding photos and last minute we found out she wasn’t able to go, Darci (Aloha Maui Dream Weddings) said she had us covered and she most definitely did! I cannot get over how beautiful my pictures turned out! I booked Penny for getting ready, wedding, and another trash the dress photo shoot. She was so fun to work with, she had us laughing the whole time! She really knows the best way to pose you to get a more flattering angle. She is so dedicated to her job, during my trash the dress photo shoot she was scaling lava rocks with me and at one point was in the water pretty much up to her waist to get the perfect shot! I was so impressed with her and am so happy to have these beautiful pictures to cherish forever! Thank you, Penny!

Penny is an amazing photographer! The pictures she took of our wedding couldn't have been any better. She is so professional and knowledgeable about her craft. At places like the beach timing is everything for those great splashing wave shots and man did she pull it off!
