When I found Penobscot Bay Estate in my endless spiral of Google searches, I knew it was exactly where I wanted to get married. We locked in immediately after our virtual tour. It ...
captured our hearts as a peaceful, coastal, tented venue with stunning waterfront views and authentic Maine charm. Having full-weekend access to utilize the property made it feel like the ultimate getaway. I was asked several times by guests why we were making them travel so far, but the second they set foot onto the estate, they understood. There is a deeply personal, meaningful charm built into all the little details across the property. The onsite Speakeasy is absolutely incredible and served as the perfect backdrop for our welcome party the night before the wedding. Emerald, the owner, is so friendly, personable, and hands-on. You can truly tell she has poured herself and her family story into this magnificent venue. A special shoutout to their staff member, Dean, who worked his way into all of our hearts! He went above and beyond making sure everyone was comfortable and happy, even riding my nephews around on the golf cart. We will always have the fondest memories of our time at Penobscot Bay Estate, and our only sadness is that the weekend had to end!

kes a beautiful backdrop for pictures, ceremony, and reception. The ceremony is right on the water and the reception was in a brand new sailcloth tent with the water in the background. You have the whole property from Thursday to Sunday which makes it feel like a weekend getaway with your friends and family, especially with the cute and cozy cottages on the property that we used to house our bridal party for the weekend. Emerald makes wedding planning easy. She is incredibly responsive, accommodating, recommends vendors in all categories, and does everything possible to make your special day perfect. Emerald is so passionate about the venue and it so clearly shows. Emerald also added a speak easy this year which was the perfect addition that we used for Thursday night with our bridal party / family and used it for our afterparty the night of the wedding. We used the venue not only for the wedding/afterparty, but also for our rehearsal dinner the night before and brunch the day after. I cannot recommend Emerald and the venue enough.

ery took our breath away. The views of the bay provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, making every photo look like a dream.
The overnight cabins were an amazing addition to our experience. Each cabin was beautifully appointed and offered a cozy, charm that made our stay feel truly special. It was wonderful to have our closest people together, creating an intimate atmosphere that we will cherish forever.
What truly set Penobscott Bay Estates apart were the amazing owners. Emerald went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our day was perfect. From helping coordinate the setup to offering advice and support throughout the planning process, her warmth, energy and dedication made all the difference.
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with exceptional service, I highly recommend Penobscott Bay Estate. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to start our journey together! Thank you for making our wedding unforgettable
We could not have asked for a better venue or team than Penobscot Bay Estate! First, the venue is absolutely stunning! The ceremony location is directly in front of the bay, making...
for breathtaking photos on the waterfront with even the occasional bald eagle seen flying overhead (much to the delight of many in our wedding!) Between the honeymoon cottage and the 4 guest cabins just up the hill, we had more than enough space to accommodate both ourselves and our families over the multiple days we stayed on-site. Second and most important, what really makes this place special are Emerald and Kurt. They are incredibly kind, genuine, and thoughtful people! They made our day easy, allowing us to enjoy our special day without worries. Not only did they make it a wonderful process for us, but also for our families and our other vendors, who also noted what a special team we had in Emerald and Kurt. Many of our guests came away from our wedding weekend considering the venue for someone they knew. Through their incredible accommodations, flexibility, and kindness, there is no better team you can work with for your wedding. We could not recommend Penobscot Bay and the team of Emerald and Kurt enough!
We had the pleasure of working with Emerald when we booked Penobscot Bay Estate as our wedding venue. We were drawn by the beautiful waterfront views and the relaxed atmosphere of ...
the venue. My husband and I are so grateful for this decision.
When thunderstorms threatened to disrupt our special day, Emerald was on top of everything, checking on the weather forecasts and working with us to organize a seamless backup plan. Her top priority was the safety of our guests, and she ensured that every detail was taken care of.
Luckily, the weather turned in our favor for our ceremony. We're so grateful for Emerald's patience, attention to detail, flexibility, kindness, and open communication throughout the entire process. She truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day unforgettable.
Thank you, Emerald, for being an absolute rockstar! Please extend our gratitude to your husband as well. We're so grateful to have had you by our side on our special day.
If you're looking for a venue and an owner who truly cares about your wedding and will go the extra mile, you will definitely have the best wedding ever if you choose Penobscot Bay Estate!
It is hard to put into words how special this venue is. My husband and I toured the property with Emerald back in November 2022 and instantly fell in love with it -- it was the sec...
ond venue we saw, and we didn't see any others after. There was something about Emerald's genuine care for the space and for the couples that she worked with that really stood out to us. She has a deep connection to the property and we watched her build it up into the masterpiece it is today. We got married in May 2024, and it was truly the best day of our lives. The view, the ceremony space, the reception tent, the getting-ready areas -- all of it was so full of charm and so stunningly beautiful. Our wedding party stayed in the four cabins and we stayed in the adorable honeymoon suite. When we arrived for our wedding weekend, we looked at the view and made a vow to return to this place when we could. We were able to use a golf cart to transport decorations (and people) around the property, which was a life safer! In addition to the spectacular setting, Emerald's commitment is unmatched. She communicated with us consistently throughout the 1.5 years we spent planning and answered all of our (many, many) questions promptly. She sent us little gifts, solicited feedback from us about new property changes, and connected us with other amazing vendors. Her husband Kurt was also incredibly kind and so helpful on our wedding day. Bonus: their kids are adorable!! Penobscot Bay Estate is truly a magical place and was the perfect space for us to begin our lives together. Pro tip: use the honeymoon tub! it was so fun!!

g ready and Emerald & Kurt are a pleasure to work with. They made sure the day went as smooth as possible. This property is clearly very special to them and they do the best they can to share every ounce of specialness with their couples. We had the best weekend ever there and wish we could do it all over again. Also, the cabins on site are a huge plus and so amazing for guests!

PBE made my dream wedding come true. I...
am from NYC and my husband is from Maine - we had a wacky mix of people from the neighborhood and people from away and PBE found a way to accommodate everyone and our every last wish. They were so considerate and careful with our children and our adults with accessibility needs.
They are organized, friendly, and openly communicate. They even provide checklists so that you can't miss a thing! If it is possible for Emerald and her team to make your dream happen, it will. I felt so loved and I was treated like a princess the whole day.
Emerald and the PBE team made the most important day of my life absolutely perfect. I 100% recommend this venue. Beyond breathtaking, amazing accommodations, and kindhearted staff...couldn't want anything more. On top of ALL of that, it is incredibly affordable for all that you get. I am so grateful that I chose PBE for my waterfront Maine wedding, look how GORGEOUS!

w her property was the perfect place for us to make some beautiful memories at. Not only is the view gorgeous during the day but the cottage we stayed in is right next to our ceremony spot and we were able to sit under the stars once the night was over, listen to the waves, and reflect on what a beautiful day we just had. We have received so many compliments from friends and family all gushing over how beautiful our wedding was. Emerald and her husband did a wonderful job at accommodating our guests and their needs while also ensuring our needs were met. If you’re looking for the beautiful bay view with a gorgeous property, perfect tent/outdoor space, and kind and responsive owners then Penobscot Bay Estate is the place!

ald is kind, enthusiastic, and motivated, when I say she was made for this, it is not an exaggeration. The love and passion she has for the venue and her vision will spill over into your event in the best way possible. The house and grounds are naturally beautiful, the Penobscot river the perfect backdrop, keep your fingers crossed for one of their famous sunsets! If you are looking for a unique and customizable space to host your next event, look no further!
I cannot say enough great things about Penobscot Bay Weddings and Events! I hosted my mother's 70th birthday party at their venue and everything was picture perfect. The owner/ho...
st was incredibly helpful with all of the details of the day and the party tent was perfectly equipped for dining and dancing and even has a great bar setup against the backdrop of the gorgeous Penobscot River. All of our guests were astounded at the surroundings - field of wildflowers, a beautiful Maine farmhouse, and, of course, the waterfront with its amazingly blue water and boats passing by. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a true Maine wedding or event!
I attended a wedding at this venue and it really is the most beautiful spot for a ceremony at waters edge, a reception on the hill overlooking the bay or any special celebration! ...
You won’t find a more caring, conscientious family to work with. If your event is anything like the one I attended, I envision an experience you can make your own using a setting that is truly magical.

obscot Bay. There are many unique spots for first looks, couples photos, and family formals, all with equally wonderful views. It’s easy to find and there is parking on site. Truly a wonderful place to get married!

s so much fun!
The house was available for the bridal party. The view of the Penobscot River is amazing. Your photos will not disappoint. I highly recommend Penobscot Bay Weddings to anyone looking for an unforgettable event.
The property is truly breathtaking, but just as importantly, the facility was perfect for the day to run smoothly.
Things felt secluded, but it's right on the edge of town, easy ...
to get to, and so close to all major vendors in the Bangor region. Cars can drive everywhere on the property they need to go, making it easy to transport handicap guests and also do all vendor setup and tear down. With water, electricity, cell service in all the spots we needed it... it really is the oasis the pictures depict with the backbone of what a functioning venue needs to be.
One last thing, and perhaps the biggest thing... as a bride, having the balcony overlooking the property available to me as I got ready on the big day was truly magical. I was able to see my loved ones arrive and feel completely showered with love and natural beauty. Everyone who mattered to me was arriving to show their love and support and I had an eagle eye view of the day unfolding... I can't describe how powerful that was.
