As a wedding photogra...
pher myself, I knew it'd be a challenge to find my own when it came to my own wedding. I wanted someone that would make me feel comfortable (I'm quite camera shy!), deliver not just beautiful photos, but also truly captures the day as I felt it. After an exhaustive search, I had no idea that my perfect photographers would be all the way from Louisiana!!!
From the moment we hopped on a call with the Polkey's, we just KNEW. They were already so great at hyping us up and putting us at ease. Their confidence and years of experience truly exudes from their friendly, warm, easy going, and fun nature. From our gorgeous engagement photos in Lake Tahoe all the way to our incredible wedding photos in Napa, Juliana + Brandon overdelivered in every sense of the word. You know you made the best choice possible, when EVERYONE at the wedding can't stop gushing about the photographers. They had a way of connecting with our guests that made it feel as if they were a part of the wedding. When I first got the album, I couldn't stop gushing over all beautifully they captured everything - the many many emotions, the in between moments I valued but never thought to ask for (mom wiping the tears from my eyes, the look of excitement from my nephews and nieces throughout the wedding, the wild reception photos, and somehow working the miracle of making us look and feel like models.
They were truly the best investment we made in our wedding and was undoubtedly favorite vendor. Not to mention, we feel like we've made life long friends. I can't thank them enough for making our wedding day so special.
Thank you J + B!!!

awe when receiving my pictures!! Sometimes taking pictures can be awkward, but Juliana and Brandon made it so much fun and laid back!! They made the whole process so easy for me and my husband, and literally made time for every photo request I had (which was a ton)!! Throughout wedding planning, Juliana would answer my ample amount of questions even if it had absolutely nothing to do with Photography, because who is more seasoned at the do’s and don’ts about weddings besides someone who has attended 1000’s of them! Thank you guys so much for the amazing memories and for being so patient and kind!!!! Peony Wedding Photography is highly recommended!!

re such a joy to work with! They respond to emails and questions in such a timely manner. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people, and they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. They are professional, yet make you feel like you've been best friends for years! They return your photos in such a timely manner, as we received a sneak peak of our wedding photos two days later!! Juliana and Brandon made sure we got all of the photos we wanted on our wedding day, even being ahead of schedule. It really is true that the day is a blur, but I know that Juliana and Brandon created a perfect snapshot of the day for us!

with a little couple from "down the bayou". As both humans and photographers, Juliana and Brandon are GOLD! Sweet, professional, funny, easy going, and so much more. We got SO many priceless shots and they made sure to to check every "want" on my list. No one I knew personally had used them before I booked and I am so glad took the chance on them. We received over 1000 photos (I'm thinking even closer to 1200 actually) of wedding day photos, the only hard part of this whole process is to pick which ones I want to print!! I highly recommend Peony Photography to ANYONE in the market!

When I started wedding planning I knew one of my hardest decisions would be picking a photographer. I've had a few in mind until one of my friends suggested Juliana. I took a look ...
at her Facebook page and website, and instantly loved her photos! So much that I found myself going back to her website repeatedly. Choosing her for our engagements, pre-bridals, and wedding was definitely the right choice. Our sessions were so laid back and she was great helping me get used to the camera since I'm certainly no model. She was also super patient with us and very attentive to our requests. We could not be happier with our photos and the experience with Peony Photography!

really makes the process seamless. Engagement pictures, prebridals, and wedding day (including both parties getting ready) were all included in our fairly priced package. She also helped guide us through the reception! I would highly recommend this service, you get a BEAUTIFUL photo album, the rights to all of your photos, and gorgeous memories for a lifetime!

stress free as possible. It’s not often that your photographers can become sweet friends, but that’s a common thing with this dynamic duo!
We used Peony Photography for our August wedding in New Orleans. I wish I could give Julianna and Brandon more than 5 stars!! They were amazing and super professional from start to...
finish. Julianna always responded to our emails on a timely basis, and when we met with her she showed us examples of her work and what we could expect from her. When our wedding day arrived Julianna was very pregnant lol BUT that didn't slow her down. She was all over that ballroom getting the very best shots. We did a day after shoot in City Park and those pictures are drop dead gorgeous. We were simply blown away. It's always nice when you truly like the people behind the business and Julianna does not disappoint.
P.S: When the time comes, my husband and I will be traveling from Texas to Louisiana for our maternity pictures...simply because we want Peony Photography!

For my prebridals we got rained out, rescheduled, and it was very cloudy. Prebridals weren't my favorite ,but I know they tried. I got them to edit a lot and wish they had scheduled me in months prior. But overall they are great!
Peony Wedding Photography is truly amazing! My husband and I did engagements, pre bridals and our wedding day with them. He is very camera shy and not a fan of posing for pictures,...
he was very comfortable with them, and they were so patient with us. Juliana made sure every detail, from hair to wrinkles in my dress, was fixed before each shot. If by slight chance she missed something, she was more than willing to flawlessly edit the image. The day of the wedding, she was like a built in wedding planner, she made sure everything was on time and made sure we got every family photo that we wanted. We even ran a little ahead of schedule because of how organized they were the day of the wedding which made my wedding day jitters a little better. I’ve also experienced pre bridals and a wedding day as a Matron if Honor. I gained a whole new appreciation for the hard work that Juliana and Brandon put into each shot. I wouldn’t change my choice of photographer even if I could. I was very lucky to score a spot with them! I’d pick them 1000 more times if I could!

The nicest people you could ever ask for and you would be doing your wedding a disservice if you didn't hire them!
