Her communication was great, and she answered the many questions that we had and made sure we felt confident going into the wedding weekend. I am pretty sure this was Regina's first wedding at the Pere Marquette as well, but you would not have known it by the way the event flowed. She was great to work with and just overall incredibly friendly and helpful. We would recommend working with her to anyone. Prior to Regina coming along, we had a few hiccups with the planning process. Mostly in terms of communication, or lack thereof. It would take awhile and reminders to get responses, and didn't always have the most pleasant interactions with some of the staff. The biggest problem was that our date was double booked....we found this out 6 months before our wedding. Naturally, we were really upset with this at first since we had already sent out save the dates, coordinated with other vendors, people had made travel plans, etc. Thankfully, with winter weddings not being very popular in the area, we were able to secure all our vendors for a new date just a few weeks later and everything worked out in the long run. Thankfully, the Pere Marquette offered us a generous discount for this inconvenience. This is the reason I am giving 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5. Overall, it was a beautiful place to get married! We had three different ballrooms reserved-one for the ceremony, one for cocktail hour, and one for the reception. All beautiful rooms!

ned for in the contract. We had to deal with 4 different coordinators throughout the process therefore it caused a lot of re-work and frustration. The day of they did not have enough staff to cover our almost 300 person wedding and they purposely left a 3rd bar out of the reception which we had already paid for. Our wedding was beautiful but it is a shame that management is so bad that it made our overall experience very frustrating. I hope other couples do not have to experience this as the Pere really is the most beautiful hotel location in the area.

after our big day, my mom and I still meet with her to catch up and talk weddings. She has become a friend. She is professional, so kind, and an absolute blast to work with. Every request made was met with a warm, thoughtful response and a "we can find a way to make it work". The food was INCREDIBLE. I am positive that no caterer could have done as good of a job as they did. Our day was truly magical and it was all thanks to the Pere Marquette, Susan, and her amazing staff. Also, Wes blew us away with the management of the food/wait staff. If you are on the fence, don't think for another second. The Pere Marquette is the only way to go.
