The Pere Marquette by Marriott was a fantastic venue for our whole wedding day. We met William late in our planning process, but he came in with a force and ensured business was TAKEN CARE OF! We received multiple complimentary upgrades to ensure our experience was one of luxurious celebration through the whole weekend. My entire family is incredibly Type A, but we were able to relax and trust William, Anne (Banquet Manager), and the rest of the phenomenal team to make our event seamless and stress-free! Every last minute pivot, strange request, and tiny detail was attended to with professionalism, grace, and joy. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Originally I am from Peoria, IL but currently live in Phoenix, AZ. I was unsure where in Peoria I was going to have my wedding ceremony due to limited choices (in my mind having been gone for awhile) but when I arrived to the venue, I could see the vision. I decided to get married in the Lasalle Ballroom with 175 guests. Amber Green was my coordinator and was absolutely fantastic. She was very attentive and communicative and made my experience that much better. I was able to work with her on coordinating the vendors to come in and set up (drapery, chivalry chairs, up lighting, etc.), pass out welcome gifts to the many guests coming from out of town, and she made our stay in the Presidential Suite epic. I was even anxious about having the little details I used to decorate to get back to my suite after the ceremony (runner, flower girl baskets, emptying the water from the floating candles, retrieving the vases, unity candle, etc.) But of course, Amber did it herself and made it happen. Even, after our rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding, I had guests meet in the hotel lobby bar and at least 90 people showed up if not more and we had an amazing time mingling and meeting each others family for some, for the first time. It was a great location so people could walk to nearby bars and café! I can't say enough great things about my experience here and would absolutely do it all over again if i could!

g process, we had quite a few issues with communication due to personnel changes and some challenges arranging a room block for our guests. Towards the end of our planning, Nick and Margaret came in and helped to remedy many of the issues we were facing and allowed us to gain some confidence in having the Pere Marquette as our wedding venue. Their organization and communication helped ensure our wedding day was a success. The food was delicious, and we had numerous guests tell us how impressed they were with the food selections and timeliness of the food being brought out. The banquet manager and serving staff were kind and attentive, and helped our reception flow smoothly. Overall, we had a beautiful wedding at the Pere Marquette and we feel thankful to have gotten to host it at such a gorgeous venue!

th responses, extremely organized& prepared, and would make time available for in person meetings. We live out of town, so she would meet with my parents and discuss details with them on our behalf. Her communication was great, and she answered the many questions that we had and made sure we felt confident going into the wedding weekend. I am pretty sure this was Regina's first wedding at the Pere Marquette as well, but you would not have known it by the way the event flowed. She was great to work with and just overall incredibly friendly and helpful. We would recommend working with her to anyone. Prior to Regina coming along, we had a few hiccups with the planning process. Mostly in terms of communication, or lack thereof. It would take awhile and reminders to get responses, and didn't always have the most pleasant interactions with some of the staff. The biggest problem was that our date was double booked....we found this out 6 months before our wedding. Naturally, we were really upset with this at first since we had already sent out save the dates, coordinated with other vendors, people had made travel plans, etc. Thankfully, with winter weddings not being very popular in the area, we were able to secure all our vendors for a new date just a few weeks later and everything worked out in the long run. Thankfully, the Pere Marquette offered us a generous discount for this inconvenience. This is the reason I am giving 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5. Overall, it was a beautiful place to get married! We had three different ballrooms reserved-one for the ceremony, one for cocktail hour, and one for the reception. All beautiful rooms!

ned for in the contract. We had to deal with 4 different coordinators throughout the process therefore it caused a lot of re-work and frustration. The day of they did not have enough staff to cover our almost 300 person wedding and they purposely left a 3rd bar out of the reception which we had already paid for. Our wedding was beautiful but it is a shame that management is so bad that it made our overall experience very frustrating. I hope other couples do not have to experience this as the Pere really is the most beautiful hotel location in the area.

after our big day, my mom and I still meet with her to catch up and talk weddings. She has become a friend. She is professional, so kind, and an absolute blast to work with. Every request made was met with a warm, thoughtful response and a "we can find a way to make it work". The food was INCREDIBLE. I am positive that no caterer could have done as good of a job as they did. Our day was truly magical and it was all thanks to the Pere Marquette, Susan, and her amazing staff. Also, Wes blew us away with the management of the food/wait staff. If you are on the fence, don't think for another second. The Pere Marquette is the only way to go.

We had our wedding ceremony at the Pere Marquette and our reception at another downtown location. We were able to have a block of rooms in the Courtyard by Marriott right next door...

, which we appreciated for out-of-town guests who prefer recognizable hotel branches. The downstairs bar and eating area was wonderful for friends and family to gather throughout the weekend. We were able to take beautiful pictures throughout the upstairs area of the hotel. We were happy with how everything went, but there were a few cons. Getting up to the ballrooms is a little bit of a maze for those who have trouble with stairs. I also had some communication and planning issues that were likely due to our wedding coordinator leaving the hotel and being replaced. Overall, would highly recommend.

ute when we decided to keep our reception going for an hour longer than we had originally planned, and the bar staff stayed with smiles on their faces. Aaron was our coordinator and I don't have enough good things to say about him. He and everyone at the Pere were so accommodating and made us feel like our wedding was the only one on their minds (although I know it wasn't!) I am so happy we chose the Pere and there is nothing I would have changed about it.

Although we did not book the Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette for our reception venue, we did block a book of rooms and they treated us just as well as anyone who had booked an event...

at their hotel. Ana was helpful in organizing welcome bag drop-offs and a Sunday brunch at the Table 19 restaurant. We used one of the luxury suites to get ready the morning of the wedding and with 2.5 bathrooms it was perfect to bring hair and makeup to us. The downtown location was perfect to get to all of our wedding venues.

We set up a room block for our guests at the Pere Marquette in Peoria after our initial hotel, Four Points by Sheraton, informed us that they were closing for renovations and would...

not be open in time. The Pere Marquette was nice looking, but they're clearly still working out some kinks. They only have 2 bellhop carts, so don't ask for one unless you're ready to be rushed and watched as you try to check in or out. None of the rooms have mini-fridges or microwaves. And the staff only kinda knows what's going on. My hope is that with all the changes they're going though, they're still trying to get on their feet and get stuff figured out. They do have a complimentary parking deck, its located on Fulton Street next to Sacred Heart Church. Its not very clearly marked, so make sure you're going into the right one. Also, as many people told me, don't bother eating or drinking at Table 19 - its very overpriced. There are plenty of bars on Main street that are more worth your money.

he food - chicken cordon bleu and au gratin potatoes - was AMAZING. If you get the Cotillion room, I would recommend getting their portable dance floor if it's available, and putting it in the middle of the room so all guests can easily see everything. Otherwise it is all the way at the end of the long room. The prices were reasonable... We had a 5 hour reception for 200 people, sit down meal, champagne toast, butlered cocktail hour, open beer and wine, and room fee for under $10k. The bridal suite is HUGE, and they may be willing to comp it for the wedding night. I also got it reduced to $200 for Friday night so my bridesmaids and I could get ready there on the wedding day. The wedding coordinator there was easy to work with, and would answer any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend the Pere Marquette to anyone looking for an elegant place to have their reception!

Carnegies the higher-end restaurant catored the wedding and had the most amazingly wonderful tasting and looking heordeourves and dinner. I felt like a million bucks-a night I will never forget!;It is an older more historical hotel. I loved it because it really made the whole look of my wedding more of what I wanted though.
