I used Pepper to do an illustration of my friends and their dog in their wedding attire and she even included the fur coat the bride had from her grandma, which was very special for her! I loved it, they loved it, and Pepper was so easy to work with! Great and personal gift! Thanks again Pepper, this isn't the first time, nor will it be the last time I use her!

I worked with Pepper for our wedding and she was an absolute dream! She was super responsive and professional when I initially reached out to her and helped us to come up with a plan to seamlessly incorporate her live illustrations into our day. The pieces she created on our special day will be cherished by us forever. We can't wait to surprise both of our mothers with their portraits captured by Pepper during our day. She is incredibly talented and I would recommend her to anyone!

Pepper is an absolute joy to work with and incredibly talented! We loved having her art to add unique and personalized detail to our special day. So many of our guests commented on her beautiful work! My friend gifted us a gorgeous drawing of our venue with our name and date when we were engaged. I then got a print of the drawing to use as a welcome sign at our reception. I also worked with her to illustrate an image of my mom and I on my wedding day as a present to her afterwards. Pepper creates images you'll cherish forever.

Perfect place for a small wedding or any special occasion. The food was delicious. We stayed two nights. Our room clean and elegant.. We plan on coming back every year for our anniversary.

My husband and I just recently had our rehearsal dinner at Peter Shields Inn on September 21st. We frequent the Cape May area often and this is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. I couldn't think of any other place I wanted to share with family and friends for our rehearsal dinner than here. The staff service was beyond exceptional - friendly, knowledgable and prompt with bringing out our dinner courses. Though I have always been impressed with the quality and curation of the food here, our guests were blown away with how amazing everything was! Some mentioned it was "one of the best meals they have had in a while". The room designated to our party was spacious and secluded, which really made our night feel like a special event. If you are looking to hold something here, do not hesitate! PSI ensured that our evening was perfect and I would absolutely utilize this restaurant for events in the future.

Our wedding at Peter Shields was simply amazing! Amy and the PSI staff went above and beyond to ensure our day was special. Our photographer had a scheduling error and as the ceremony approached and we were trying to figure out what to do, Amy calmly called another photographer and he showed up 20 minutes later! Myself and my Husband just got married at PSI on 06/16/18. Let me tell you, Amy and her team were AMAZING!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The day was absolutely perfect, and my guests can not stop raving about the experience and food. I cannot thank Amy and her team enough for how perfect the day turned out. I even threw a little curveball, and had a change last minute, Amy had no problems accommodating my needs without any issues. If you are thinking about having your wedding or rehearsal dinner here, don't hesitate!! We already plan on coming back to PSI for every anniversary! :)

We hosted our son’s Rehearsal Dinner at Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant this month and are so happy we did. The professional staff, the excellent food, the picturesque setting made it the perfect venue for this special night. Planning this dinner from out of town was so easy with the assistance of Amy, Wedding & Event Coordinator. It truly was a night to remember! I highly recommend PSI!

Peter Shield's is an absolutely beautiful restaurant and bed and breakfast. If you want an elegant and classy wedding, from very small to larger, this is the place to go. First, Amy, the wedding coordinator is extremely organized and calming and can answer any questions and solve any issues. She can recommend vendors (bakeries, photographers, officiants) and those that I chose from her recommendations were perfect. Secondly, it is a beautiful venue, with a view of the ocean, and exquisite rooms within. Thirdly, the food is upscale and delicious, and if your want more than the standard fare received at most weddings, you can't go wrong. The servers are experienced and know what they are doing. Fourth, Kahlil, their piano player who is there most weekends, can also be hired for your wedding, and you can't go wrong! We recently had our wedding at Peter Shields, and would highly recommend this venue!

On October 12, 2017 we hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at PSI for about 40 people. I absolutely cannot say enough about the venue, the food and working with Amy!! We were trying to decide between another place (which was slightly bigger) and PSI. While visiting in CM, we had a chance to eat at the other place and were not thrilled. However, we still gave it some thought because initially we thought the other place was going to be quite a bit cheaper. But when adding up the fees that were extra, on top of the per person plate charge (which was cheaper), the total came out to be about the same. (If you are comparing places, make sure you total everything up). We were only in CM for a short time so we did not have a chance to eat at PSI before booking, but the ratings were so great that we took a chance. We were so glad we did!!! The food was absolutely OUTSTANDING!! Everyone really raved about it. Most of us had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and the Butternut Squash Bisque was fabulous and the Chocolate Lava Cake was out of this world!! Amy was a delight to work with. She was attentive in getting back to my husband and I with our many questions (we live in Texas) and the room was set up for us exactly as I asked. We had wine and beer delivered from Collier's and the morning of the Rehearsal, I brought in single roses for the tables, which PSI put in vases for me. We arrived slightly early after the rehearsal and PSI accommodated us. The staff were most attentive and fabulous. There could not have been a better Rehearsal Dinner experience for us! If you are getting married in Cape May, I HIGHLY recommend that you book with PSI for your rehearsal dinner!!!

A fantastic landmark location that offers a culinary repertoire that has established it as one of the finest dining experiences in all of southern New Jersey. We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was a perfect experience. The staff guided by Amy did a great job of making us feel welcome and taken care of while providing a warm personal feeling without compromising formal standards. And the food was superb. Carl Messick is a master and the only challenge was selecting with items to offer our guests. Amy and Carl worked with me to make a few modifications to our selections that allowed us to have a choice that was right for everybody. I would unreservedly recommend Peter Shields for any private event.

Our wedding at PSI was simply fantastic! We had the most perfect fall weather for our wedding ceremony on the front steps of the inn, and the fall décor on the inn's front steps was absolutely stunning. Having dined at their restaurant in the past, we knew the food would be great - It turned out to be even better than we imagined! So many guests complimented us on the food, venue and staff. Our guests all told us they were made to feel right at home, which is exactly what we had hoped for! The event coordinator, Amy, was a huge help to us throughout all of our planning. We met with her several times throughout our planning process, and she was always available to answer questions via phone or email. She was so helpful with all of our setup for our wedding day, too! She really helped in allowing for us to be able to relax and enjoy our day! I honestly could go on and on about how wonderful PSI is! It's the perfect choice if you're looking for a beautiful and unique venue with fantastic food and service!

The Peter Shields Inn and Restaurant was the perfect setting for our destination wedding weekend. Amy, Danielle, and the entire Restaurant and Hotel staff made every moment of our stay memorable in every way. Our entire wedding day was intimate, romantic, and unique in ways that we will never forget. Being able to have the entire Inn for our family to stay in for the weekend allowed us all to be together and truly celebrate the joining of our families in a very special way. Peter Shields Inn hosted our small and private after wedding dinner. It was amazing! The inn is so unique and had just the character and charm we were looking for. Absolutely perfect venue for our wedding! Ami went above and beyond to ensure every detail was attended to and that we could just relax and enjoy our special day! It was such a beautiful venue, the flowers and decor were so breathtaking! We decided to forgo the beach and say "I do" on the front steps and PSI made the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos! Everyone could not say enough about how beautiful the wedding was and how delicious the food tasted! The staff were so accommodating and kind!! Every detail for our wedding was perfectly thought out. Amy, and the entire staff made sure to look after every guest and request that we threw their way. The venue was beautiful and perfectly decorated for fall which added an extra special touch on our day. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect day, and knowing that Amy was there to do the worrying for us made it that much more enjoyable. I've been coming to Cape May since I was a child and now it has an extra special spot in my heart. Any couple looking for amazing food and a beautiful venue would not be let down.

Our wedding was June 3rd 2017 and I can not even fully express my gratitude to Amy and all the amazing staff at Peter Shields for making our wedding day so incredibly beautiful and memorable! We had our wedding at the Peter Shields in July, 2017. The location and setting of the property was perfect. Right across from the beach, the Inn is beautifully maintained and decorated. We couldn't have been more pleased with the venue, the services provided,the food, and the staff. Our Wedding Coordinator, Amy, could not have been more accommodating and pleasant to work with. The guest rooms were beautiful and uniquely decorated. The food was excellent and presented tastefully. The staff, both in the Inn and for the wedding reception, were courteous, efficient, and professional. Khalil, the house pianist, plays beautifully and we would recommend him highly. The Peter Shields is a perfect setting for a small, intimate, and sophisticated wedding.

We recently held a rehearsal dinner for 28 people at Peter Shields and it was amazing on every level. Amy was great to work with on the details - made it easy to coordinate and plan. It was a busy day that day with a different day wedding before our rehearsal dinner yet everything went off without a hitch. Not to mention, the other wedding looked spectacular as well. The food was made to perfection. And the chocolate lava cake to die for! Everybody had so much fun we are definitely thinking of doing future family reunions here as well. On a side note, we booked all the rooms in the place so it was super convenient and comfortable. Definitely a 5 star experience and months later the family is still talking about what a great time they had. If you can book it for the day you want don't hesitate one minute.

I could seriously write a novel on our experience with Peter Shields Inn, Amy and the entire staff at PSI are absolutely amazing!! They went above and beyond in every single way to make our stay, our wedding, our reception and our entire trip absolutely spectacular for us! From being such a gracious host to our vendors, the private lounge space in the basement, waiting on us hand and foot, to tying up every loose end for us, keeping the venue very private – the staff even kept pedestrians on the street from stepping into the ceremony, managing musical cues, catering to our food allergies, and so much more!! Amy did a really good job at managing everything minute by minute in the background, making everything run smooth for exactly what *we* wanted, without ever getting in the way.

All of the staff at the Peter Shields Inn worked tirelessly to make our day incredibly special. Amy was at our disposal for anything we needed, the food was incredible, the service, and each room had a special touch to it. I barely needed to decorate at all for our wedding, because the inn is so beautiful on its own.

I absolutely loved this place. The staff are super friendly and caring. We told Amy everything we wanted. She handled it seamlessly. Everyone raved about the food. The hotel was wonderful to stay in for our guests. I recommend this venue to anyone looking to have an intimate affair.

John and I found Peter Shields together for dinner in Summer of 2014 while on vacation in Cape May. We fell in love with the beautiful setting and AMAZING food that night so when it came time for us to choose our wedding venue over a year later we thought of it almost immediately for our 10/1/16 wedding. Amy and the staff are true professionals - guiding us through the whole planning process. We were most impressed with how smoothly everything went day of- we dropped everything off the day before and everything was set up beautifully. Also during our wedding day the staff took special care to make sure we got all the great food and drinks that were being served while we were running around. I highly recommend renting the whole Inn as well- our bridal party stayed with us that night of the wedding and we got some many compliments on the beauty of the inn, the amazing food and the overall event. We had our wedding at PSI on 9-25-2016, and could not be more happy!! Our guests kept commenting on how romantic of a wedding it was, and how amazing the food was; from the start to finish!! Being able to see the beach while having dinner, was the best. Amy at PSI is a true professional and really cares about you having the perfect wedding day at PSI. I would not have made it without her. The food choices are great! Also, the entire staff at PSI are very professional and very nice!! I did not have one problem. If you as a bride are looking for a beautiful, romantic venue with the best food and views, PSI is the place.

We were married in September at Peter Shields Inn and it was more amazing than we ever dreamed. The venue was intimidate and beautiful, the staff was wonderful and the food was AMAZING. (Our guests are still talking about how wonderful the food was!) Planning a wedding is far from easy but as they say location is everything! The Peter Shields Inn was the perfect venue for our wedding! We were married September 10th, 2016. It was the most magnificent day ever thanks to our wedding coordinator Amy and the rest of the PSI staff for every effort they put in to our day! Our affair was small, intimate and elegant. PSI offered an old world family feel with modern elegance. The stained glass window at the grand staircase was a beautiful substitute area to the beach in case of rain and gave me peace of mind that no matter rain or shine it was going to be beautiful! We reserved all nine rooms for family and out of town guests to give our wedding day the privacy and intimacy that we wanted. It was more than worth it! It was so nice to be surrounded by family and friends as we relaxed on the front porch that evening or upon waking and heading down to breakfast the next morning. Thank you to all who make the PSI exactly the perfect place that it is! We'll never forget how special our day was or how special all of you were!

We hosted a rehearsal dinner for 28 guests at PSI and everyone was SO IMPRESSESD! The dinner was held in a private room with historic ambiance as live piano music drifted in from the stately foyer. The food was exceptional - so many compliments to the chef! PSI provided an impressive menu selection that I coordinated with Amy, the event planner. Service was quite excellent - prompt and attentive with a smile! Amy was a true treasure to work with as she always promptly responded to emails and requests - from recommending a local vendor to supply our BYOB to setting up the room with centerpieces and table seating that I had dropped off the day before. Being from out of town, Amy ' s professional expertise allowed a stress free experience for us, as Amy took ownership in always being available.to answer questions and ultimately providing a very pleasant and memorable evening for all our guests. Thank you PSI again for the absolutely delicious food ( I loved the scallops! ) and your warm hospitality. PSI Is a classic beach elegance dining experience at its best!

We held our rehearsal dinner here on a Friday night, and it was absolutely perfect. We brought our own wine, and the bartenders were extremely attentive with circling the room and making sure everyone had what they need. I have celiac, and the chef came out personally to speak with us about this. He clearly knew his food creations very well and made excellent recommendations! Amy, our contact for planning the whole event was extremely helpful and never took very long to answer our e-mails. She made sure everything was set up as we wished before we arrived. We couldn't have asked for more in a rehearsal dinner venue. The only thing I wish I had done was make little place cards for the tables to help with seating arrangements (some tables fit only 4 people, while others fit 6 or 7)--that would be my only advice to others planning to have their rehearsal dinner there!

Adam and I had been coming to the Peter Shields Inn every August for a long weekend since 2012. From the minute we were engaged, we both knew this was where we wanted to have our wedding. The staff at PSI was accommodating in every way, but Amy, the wedding coordinator, went above and beyond. We couldn't have asked for a more helpful, organized and thoughtful wedding coordinator. We came down for dinner and a stay to decide if this was our Rehearsal Dinner site. From the moment we entered we knew it was it. In fact, we almost did our wedding reception here as well. Our rehearsal dinner was excellent, service was perfect, piano was great, room was staged perfectly. We customized the menu to meet our guests tastes, but remained close to the Chef's suggestions. Amy was awesome as our coordinator, totally awesome! Wish we could do the event over and over again, it was wonderful.

My husband and I just had our wedding a couple of weeks ago at PSI, on June 18th. I can't say enough good things about this venue. Amy, their Wedding Coordinator, and the rest of the staff are phenomenal. We had a small wedding and reception of 37 people (including the wedding party), so the size of the venue was perfect. Our family was able to get all 9 rooms of the inn for the weekend so it was great to have the whole place to ourselves. The venue and landscaping are beautiful, which were really great for our outdoor ceremony. The food was all absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. Amy kept everything running smoothly from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. The bottom line is basically that I can't say enough great things about PSI. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a Cape May wedding venue.

Jim and I were looking for a small but elegant setting for our wedding. We expected our guest list to be 15 or less and knew many venues would not offer the intimacy we wanted for our gathering of family and friends. As soon as we met Amy at Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant we knew we found the perfect place -- a gorgeous and romantic setting and a wedding coordinator who made us feel like we were her most important client. Although we are older than the typical bride and groom and this was a second wedding for both us, Amy made us feel as enthusiastic as a young couple planning a spectacular first wedding. Every detail from the ceremony in the foyer to the open bar and intimate dining space was first class. Our guests raved about the spectacular view, the attentive staff and the manner in which every detail was attended to. From the moment that my then finance and I walked through the doors at PSI, we knew instantly that this was the place for our wedding. The character and charm of the house is amazing. We worked with Amy, the wedding coordinator, over several months, and she was quick to respond to any questions we had. During the planning process, Amy's thoroughness showed that she had done this many times before and put us at ease. We ended up reserving all the rooms for family members, and as our guests arrived, they were blown away with the place. Each room is different, but tastefully done. Come wedding day, Amy and the staff took care of all of our requests for decor and music as well as setting up our beach wedding ceremony. Amy and the staff worked seamlessly and unseen, everything where it should be, when it should be. Our guests could not stop telling how much they loved the place! Finally, It would be a crime to not mention the food. 5 stars for sure! PSI was even able to accommodate several guests with food allergies and diet restrictions. The complimentary breakfast the next morning made it feel as if our reception had continued into the next day. In short, Amy and the PSI staff could not have been better. Our wedding was like a dream!! We would not change a thing if we had the chance to do it again. We plan to visit PSI each time we return to Cape May and plan on making our anniversary a tradition there.

Choosing PSI for Amie and TJ’s rehearsal dinner was the best decision we made to kick off the wedding weekend celebration! The food, ambiance and service were exactly what we wanted for our bridal party and guests. Amy took care of everything from consulting about the dinner menu, suggesting appetizers and coordinating the adult beverages with a local vendor. PSI went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. We can’t thank you enough Amy! Trying to coordinate a large event from out of town can be difficult but with your quick responses, attention to detail and follow up you allowed us to relax and truly enjoy the evening.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our first spectacular meal at the Peter Shields Inn while visiting Cape May for my birthday last year. We fell in love with the food, the service, the ambiance, and the proximity to the ocean, so when we decided to get married, PSI was first on our wish-list of venues. We contacted Amy, the wedding coordinator, who responded promptly to let us know that our date was available. We set up a meeting early on where Amy answered all of our questions and gave us a tour of the Inn. The rest of our planning was done via e-mail. Amy's responses to our questions were prompt and detailed, making us feel completely comfortable about the plans for our destination wedding. The day before the wedding, we arrived at PSI with a carload of boxes of decorations and Amy was there to greet us, patiently listening to our wishes and taking notes so that everything would be set up the way we wanted. We had booked rooms at the Inn for our families, all of whom were impressed by the beauty and comfort of the Inn. Danielle and the staff made us all comfortable and welcome as we held our rehearsal and gathered as a family for complimentary wine and cheese. On Wedding Day, everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. Amy and the staff set up the decorations perfectly, greeted our guests and notified us when our vendors arrived so that the only things we had to do were relax and enjoy the day. Our guests told us they had never attended a lovelier wedding, and all were impressed by the excellent menu. Everyone agreed that it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding... Words cannot begin to explain our love and gratitude for Peter Shields. Our wedding happened to fall on the “Blizzard of 2016” and no one would have known that 60 mph winds, 9+ waves, and a wintery mix were occurring right outside the inn’s doors. From Amy, to the staff, the chef and kitchen crew, and the owners, everyone at PSI made our wedding more than we could have ever dreamt – it was truly magical! Our friends and family fell so in love with everyone, that we all cannot wait to return in the near future. Thank you so much for making our special day, a day that we all will never forget! I grew up in Cape May and have dined at PSI many times, their food, service, and ambiance are always top notch. We knew we wanted to host our Rehearsal Dinner (Dec. 2015) here and Amy made it easy to understand our options. There were only 8 of us but we wanted a private room, we wanted our guests to be able to chose off the regular menu or a chefs tasting menu, and we were going to be bringing our own bar (beer, wine, liquors, cognacs, etc) with us and needed the appropriate mixers/glasses/etc. All of this was no problem. We had a great evening. The food was amazing, everyone raved about it, and the menus were specially printed for us. The ambiance was magical, the room was spacious, private, and decorated with a beautiful christmas tree. The service was perfect, all of the details were as Amy and I discussed and she checked-in with me to make sure everything was going well. PSI is a great restaurant any night of the week but they go above and beyond to make special occasions special.

We just held our wedding rehearsal dinner at Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant, and we could not have asked for a better experience. When it came to planning, Amy and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful, responding to questions quickly. Peter Shields is a BYO, but they helped us coordinate with a nearby liquor store that delivered right to the restaurant and picked up any leftovers the next day. So easy! The atmosphere was quaint and elegant, the service seamless... and the food? Every single person at my table cleaned their plate! So delicious. I would highly recommend.

Just celebrated my daughters Rehearsal Dinner at PSI. The food was 5 star, amazing, and the staff could not have been more efficient and helpful. Everyone loved it. When we got engaged last year, we started looking for places to stay on our wedding night. We knew we wanted a beach wedding, and we chose to have a simple 'elopement" ceremony. we booked our night's stay at the Peter Shields Inn because it was the first place we saw and fell in love with upon entering! We didn't have our ceremony at the Inn itself, but you have to know all that Amy (PSI's Wedding Coordinator) did for us and all that we did have. First, she answered countless questions and emails (*all at no cost to us) for months leading up to our wedding. She was an intricate part of making the whole experience absolutely perfect!! Our entire party consisted of me and my husband, our 2 friends who served as our witnesses, a friend of mine from work who was our officiant, and her boyfriend who took our beautiful pictures! Upon arrival, we had full access to the Inn. We were able to change and get ready, take pictures, etc... When it came time for our ceremony it began to rain and they gave us umbrellas. We had our ceremony down Beach Ave in Sunset Pavilion because we originally planned to get married on the beach but the town clerk who helped me reserve the space suggested the pavilion so I would have cover if it rained. After our ceremony was over, Amy had arranged for a 'cocktail hour' for us. There is a small room with a fireplace off of the dining room and they had the fire lit for us while we relaxed, toasted with and drank our champagne; and they even had a tray of cheeses, nuts, bread and fruit for us! It was perfect! When the dining room opened at 5:30, we were sat in a somewhat private dining area and although the whole restaurant was open to the public, we had privacy for most of our meal as our area was the last area to be seated. We were able to dance and the other patrons of the restaurant just joined right in like they were at a reception. I can't count how many times someone outside of our party tapped a glass for my husband and I to kiss. Our dinner was nothing short of amazing...absolutely delectable!! Everyone ate something different and everyone raved about their dish!!! From presentation to taste it was all wonderful! Our server, Francis, was just dynamite! Aside from his warmth and being very personable, he thoroughly knew the menu and his recommendations were spot on from appetizers to desserts! He was so great I just wanted him to pull up a chair and join us! I should also mention that he made sure we got every one of our menus...each one was personalized congratulating us. We brought personalized champagne flutes and left them on the table. The next morning, the front desk had them carefully wrapped and bagged for us. Every member of the staff we encountered was nothing short of lovely and I have no doubt we will be back again and again!!! For not having our actual wedding ceremony at the Inn, we still celebrated our entire wedding there and truly were made to feel like royalty! We are deeply grateful for the beautiful memory and experience of our wedding day!!!!

My husband and I had our wedding at PSI. The venue is absolutely stunning and is located across the street from the beach providing a beautiful view for your guests. We also fell in love with the porch and the large pillars. It gave us the big, gorgeous home feel we wanted and we had the whole place to ourselves. When we saw PSI we knew this is where we wanted to get married. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, especially Amy Gotthardt, the Wedding & Event Coordinator. Amy promptly answered all of our questions and concerns. She made the process very pleasant and enjoyable. Amy also made sure everything ran smoothly. On top of the great service, the food was delicious. We are still receiving compliments. There was not one thing we didn’t like about the food, service and people. If we could change one thing, it would be the weather. It rained, but that means lots of luck! We highly recommend PSI!

We got married at Peter Shields Inn on October 4th and everything was perfect. The ceremony was beautiful, food was delicious, and the staff fantastic. Amy, the wedding coordinator, made the whole planning process easy and helped make our special day everything we dreamed.

Our rehearsal dinner was perfect! The food was amazing, the staff was great and AMY!!! amy is amazing she is a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond for her brides. We all loved her so much. The venue is beautiful. Thank you Peter Shields Inn, you made my rehearsal more then i could have ever imagined!

Everyone raved about the food. -rated #1 in cape may All the guests said it was the nicest wedding they ever attended and most said it was like a fairy tale We did have perfect weather for the beach vows which didn't hurt. Truly was a day I wouldn't of changed anything. With the beauty of psi, the top notch food, and beach/water views, it just can't be beat. If your looking for a generic big room dark lighting and loud obnoxious music this isn't your place One last thing. My mother in law is very mean. She was so quiet on the wedding day and my wife asked her what was wrong. She said it was the absolute nicest wedding she's ever experienced. If you want a romantic day that everyone else will enjoy as much as you this is your place!

Absolutely amazing! Every detail was thought of and our special day is a wonderful memory! Amy and company at Peter Shields were the best! We have been back for dinner and the warm feeling from the staff makes us feel like we are reliving "our special" day! Thanks to all at PSI!

We were married at beautiful PSI on September 19, 2015 and had an absolutely perfect day with family and friends!! We began our venue search last September and met with Amy to discuss all our options. It took one visit and we were hooked! She was super friendly, helpful and professional. Throughout our year long planning, we had various questions along the way - especially as our big day grew closer. Amy replied to all our emails in a very timely manner. We also made a few in-person meetings at the Inn. Each time, Amy greeted us with a warm smile and patiently listened to and answered all our questions. The entire planning process was painless and we were able to enjoy the beauty of Cape May. Thank you, Amy!!! We arrived at the Inn the day before our wedding around 2:30. Upon arrival we were greeted by PSI’s friendly staff and everyone was so extremely helpful in assisting us to unload our vehicle. Being DIYers, we opted to bring all the alcoholic beverages, favors, kids’ activities, cake, arbor flower arrangements, center pieces, cocktail napkins and envelope box. Amy expeditiously labeled the boxes with us, reviewed the setup items and safely stored everything overnight. Given the time of year, we had our ceremony on the beach with Dori, our wonderful violinist. It was an absolutely gorgeous day! Amy perfectly adorned the arbor with sheer material and flower arrangements we supplied. After the ceremony and pictures, we headed across the street to celebrate! Our guests were greeted with the calming piano sounds by the amazing Kahlil! When we arrived, appetizers were still being served. There was definitely no shortage of food. All the staff was extremely efficient and professional. We joked that they were almost like Ninjas  Dinner was absolutely divine as well! Our family stayed overnight with us and thoroughly enjoyed all that PSI has to offer. The rooms are stunning!! They have a very comfortable beach feel with superb modern updates. If you are looking for a place with character, class and beauty while being down to earth……PSI is it! From the moment I found The Peter Shields Inn, I knew it was going to be perfect for the vintage wedding I was planning. Being out of town and a someone full of questions, Amy, the wedding coordinator could not have been any better than she was! She was so awesome and answered every question I had in such detail making my out of town wedding planning go so much smoother! The entire setup of the Inn was perfect. All of our guests enjoyed themselves so much that I think we had the best wedding/reception anyone had been to! The food was out of this world! I can honestly say that our wedding day was perfect and everything I wanted and this would not have happened if it were not for Amy and the staff at The Peter Shields Inn! We had our wedding at Peter Shields Inn on September 20, 2015. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Our view from the front steps of PSI overlooking the ocean and the gorgeous flowers was spectacular. Our guests continuously raved about how delicious the food was and how polite the entire staff was as they happily tended to our every need. We cant say enough about Amy, our wedding planner at PSI. She was amazing. She kept us calm in the weeks leading up to our day, guided us through all of our important decisions, and handled everything for us on the day of our wedding. PSI hit our rehearsal dinner out of the park! Amy's guidance every step of way planning, coupled with Alena's help the night of just made the evening stress free for me. I love that I was able to choose a menu, that gave my guests options at dinner. I selected a limited menu from many delicious choices which allowed my guests to choose from 3 options, for each of the three courses. I also really loved that PSI is BYOB. I could control what was being served (making sure the groomsmen stayed in line and got my groom to the ceremony on time the next day). If you are looking for a food forward event, or you want your guests to be impressed this is your venue. Coupled with whole scene of being right at the beach in a beautiful space (makes for great pictures). And the pianist was such a lovely touch. I would have had my reception here if they would allow them on Saturday evenings! Thank you everyone at PSI, we will be back to see you soon!

I absolutely love PSI! We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was nothing short of a wonderful experience all around. Amy was so helpful setting everything up with me and made my job easy and stress-free. Don't let the pricing bother you; it's well worth the quality/quantity of the food and atmosphere. Did I mention how stress-free it was?? It's BYOB but the staff did a FANTASTIC job at making sure our guests had plenty to drink. Our guests of all ages loved it as much as we did. Strongly recommend this venue!

We had our wedding on the beach in front of PSI and then our reception at PSI. It was absolutely perfect. Atmosphere is elegant, but still has that easy-going relaxed feel that you get from the beach. We couldn't be any happier and our guests feel the same way, as they still haven't stopped talking about our day. Food was delicious, best food I've ever eaten. I cannot say enough good about PSI. Amy at PSI is so helpful and she made our day as special as it was with all her help in the planning aspect. We think you Amy, you went above and beyond for us! PSI gets 5+++ stars from us! We recently got married and held our ceremony and reception at Peter Shields. Our day was absolutely perfect! Amy, Danielle and the rest of the staff were all amazing and provided exceptional service! The Inn itself is gorgeous and provided a magical setting for our wedding! There is nothing we would change or that could have been better from start to finish. We chose not to use any decorations and let the Inn's beauty speak for itself.
