a specific date we'd wanted, which was in July of 2025. I have an email from Crystal in March 2023 confirming our desired date, so we put our deposit down. A few months later, we’re told Maria would be our new coordinator. Fast fwd to Jan 2024, we find out our date isn't available due to recurring annual contracts (clearly something they would have known about). We stuck with them, because we love the Peppermill, we’re there often and we know a ton of staff members, in fact we invited a few to our wedding. We figured the date thing was an honest mistake, but that was just the start of a very frustrating experience. They changed our coordinator 3 times, with terrible communication as each one left or went on to other roles. Halfway through 2024, we’re told we’re back with Crystal, our original coordinator. With each updated estimate we were sent, something was either left off that had been confirmed, or added that we didn't request. They lost our food and decor decisions several times. I made the mistake of not tracking those things at first, so we’d have to pull up all the options and choose them again, but after the 2nd time I started confirming everything via email after our appointments. Four months out from our wedding, we have yet another coordinator change, now with L’erin - here we are again having to advise of all the decisions AGAIN. Thankfully I had the emails this time. I will say it seems the majority of issues stemmed from one person, who's no longer with the venue. Side note - we thought the venue would put our personal items aside afterward, as we’d advised them we’d return for them, but they only returned the items they’d hung on the walls for us. Fortunately we took the things we really cared about (guestbook & gifts) with us the night of the wedding. L'erin was our final coordinator, and while there was still some confusion along the way, she came through! During the reception, you could tell the bartenders were having a great time, and I think that added to the energy. I wish we’d gotten their names. Although she never said it, I think L’erin did some things for us that we didn't ask for, but I mean that in a good way. She knew we were frustrated and I appreciate that she came through for us after being handed a mess. During the rehearsal, we realized a few things the DJ wouldn’t be able to do from their setup spot, and she brought in the venue’s A/V team to handle our ceremony. That was a quick adjustment that worked out well. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because everyone had a fantastic time and we were mostly satisfied with the end result. Again, they pulled it off, but we just do not recommend the Peppermill for hosting a big event.
