We LOVED Ryan for our wedding!! If you are looking into this vendor for your DJ services I would highly recommend Ryan. I had spoken to a couple of DJs before Ryan and in our initial phone call I knew he was the right pick for us. I had mentioned that we needed a day of coordinator for the wedding and hadn't found one yet and he kindly recommended his fiance (Mimi) because she manages events, I ended up hiring her (separately) and they made the perfect team and I'm so happy we hired them because they go above and beyond. Ryan takes care of every single detail and does not only do a great job with the music but also manages all the little things for your wedding. He makes sure the dessert tables look good for pictures, lines up your bridal party, and makes sure everyone knows what is happening before they walk. He took so much stress off our shoulders and I was not worried about a thing during my wedding day. He has clear communication and the thing I love the most is how passionate he is about his job. He truly loves to make your vision come to life and he LISTENS to your wants. He has such good energy and he made sure everything was perfect. He played the perfect blend of American and Spanish music because my husband is from Spain and we needed both and it blended perfectly. We ended up doing the shoe game as well but didn't have a person to mic it and he did that for us and it was so funny and amazing! I asked for no dirty questions and to keep it interesting and that's exactly what he did. It was so fun and if I ever needed another DJ for an event I would hire him again. Mimi was also fantastic and it was so easy to communicate with both of them and bring them all my worries and wants and they dealt with it. I cannot recommend both of them enough. Most importantly our guests loved the music and were dancing for hours!!

Ryan was the perfect choice to DJ our wedding! He came all the way out to Dufur, OR at the Balch Hotel, and took everything in stride! He brings such fun energy to every phone call, meeting, and finally to the big day! I knew we were in very capable hands, and he delivered. Ryan did a beautiful job for our wedding! He is so organized and prepared and our day wouldn't have been the success it was without him. We had our wedding on May 4th and are big Star Wars fans and he incorporated the music from Star Wars beautifully into our reception. We also had a fun shoe game where he also included really fun Star Wars questions. He is always available for any questions you have regarding the wedding and was so helpful at making the ceremony and reception go smoothly. Would 20/10 recommend that you book him!!

Ryan was fantastic! He really knows what he's doing. If you're getting married in the Portland/Vancouver area, I seriously recommend him. Going over pricing with him, it was clear he wasn't going to nickle and dime you. He doesn't do the "bare bones" set up with up charges for every tiny thing, he has a comprehensive package with reasonable up charges (like if a second set up is needed). The microphones came through clear as day, and he really got the volume on point for every portion of the evening. He also honored our "please play" and "don't play" lists while throwing in some surefire hits. The dancefloor was kicking off all night. He went above and beyond helping with the flow of events! My husband and I didn't have a day-of coordinator and Ryan stepped up to help us time out when to do our cake cutting, whether or not to delay the ceremony by a few minutes, when it seemed like guests were ready to put away dinner and get on the floor! My husband and I were truly able to enjoy our day, and spend some time together in the moment rather than dashing around trying to figure out what was next. If I ever host another DJ'd party, he's my first call! Thank you Ryan!

Need a DJ? Need an MC? Need a friend? Look no further! Ryan was the best decision we could have made for our wedding, and words cannot fully express how much we appreciate him. Wedding planning is hard enough as it is without having to interview dozens of vendors, but when Ryan and I spoke on the phone, his energy was so prevalent, so strong, so positive, and that carried through to each and every other conversation we had - including with my husband. After the first phone call, I told my husband we were no longer looking for a DJ as we had already found one. It was just like the venue, once we spoke with him, we knew he would be the best option for us. We ran into some personal issues, beyond our control, before the wedding that threw us for a loop in planning, but Ryan made absolutely certain that everything was perfect! We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, and the quality and clarity of the music and the mics were so clear, it was like listening on headphones. The reception music was excellent. We couldn't decide on the playlist, so we sent him a few lists of music that we loved and asked him to get creative and choose what he thought was best. HE DID! Once the dance floor was available, it was used! He took cues for when to fade out a song, he fused songs together perfectly, and he made our time on the dancefloor seem so much longer than the clock said it was. He played music that even got the shy kids on the floor, and some family members who otherwise didn't dance. There is no way we can thank him enough for the effort, the energy, the execution, and his kindness in all the stages. Literally the best decision for a DJ, hands down. Thank you Ryan!

Seriously, from the first phone call we had with Ryan we knew we would be making the right decision! Hands down the best experience we could have ever asked for. We had a meeting before our big day and went over the music, the wedding party names, and all the details! He was amazing with having music set for us from the beginning of our day to the end of our day. His artistic ability to be able to know when to fade music, start, and MCing was hands down the best. We let him choose the music for the reception and he did an awesome job! Even a special request day of for a surprise rap song from family members! Ryan went above and beyond for my wedding. He made sure the day went smoothly and ran everything by me and my husband. He checked in with us before making any final decisions. Ryan kept the party going for us and made sure all the songs we talked about during our meetings were played. Here's the TLDR version: BOOK RYAN! My husband and I could not be more happy with Ryan as our wedding DJ! He was the most attentive and thoughtful vendor to work with. Our friends hired him for their wedding in July 2022 and we were impressed with how he kept the energy and flow of their reception timeline and dancing going. They also gave us a super glowing referral for him so we knew we wanted to reach out once we were ready for our own wedding planning. After the first phone call, it was a no brainer to book him. He guided us when we had questions and very genuinely cares about all the details to make the wedding music/audio and script special and great. Ryan is a total hype man. We loved working with him this summer and our guests were so pleased with how he was the master of ceremonies. A week after the wedding, we even received a handwritten thank you card from Ryan, expressing gratitude for booking him. The pleasure was all ours!

From the first phone call we had with him to the conversations on the day of, Ryan always was on our side giving tips and going beyond just being a DJ. Highly recommend Ryan & Perfect Memory Ryan was the best! I interviewed several DJ’s and chose Ryan because he was all over the logistics - down to how speakers should be positioned so that everyone can hear best during the ceremony. I joked that he was my spirit animal as I was also super specific on things like what music I wanted played the 30 min leading into the ceremony, the time mark I wanted our entrance song to start at, and the overall timeline for the day - Ryan was super flexible, accommodating, and nailed all of it! And had an awesome dance party at the end. The best part about Ryan is how much he cares - he genuinely wants you to have the best day ever. And we did! I highly recommend Ryan.

I can absolutely promise that if you choose Ryan with Perfect Memory Events you will have an electric and unforgettable dance floor, all while providing a service to ensure that each step of your wedding flows smoothly. Before our wedding he offered us as many virtual or in-person meetings as we liked to hear about our wedding planning. He offered great advice on the timing of events for our wedding. He was very responsive and always so kind and courteous during our conversations. We decided to leave the music choice entirely up to Ryan for our wedding, and he did a wonderful job as he was able to keep our dance floor busy and our guests dancing for 3.5 hours straight! There was not a single time we didn’t have people dancing, and we owe this partly to our guests, but a lot of it to his choice in music. He also made our guests happy by accepting any and all music requests! With regards to our first dance, he was even able to assist us in our special request of remixing and combining two songs. He provided amazing advice on how to fully realize our first dance wish, and it was an absolute highlight of our wedding for us. All of the above is what a couple hopes and expects with their choice in DJ, however Ryan take his service one step further by getting to know your photographers, wedding planners, venue hosts, and more to provide a seamless wedding. We were incredibly impressed with his attention to detail and flexibility when it came to our schedule. Ryan was AMAZING! He was super patient with us and helped us put together our ideas. Ryan is incredible!! I was referred to him by our Venue, and he exceeded all of my expectations. We can’t recommend Ryan Hein's DJ services highly enough! Ryan helped us with so many tiny details about our August 2021 wedding by having us fill out a specific questionnaire to help us organize our special day, down to the minute. Before the wedding, Ryan communicated with us via phone and email several times (because intense Covid restrictions were still in place), answering all of our questions and making us feel comfortable with how the day would go. His pricing is reasonable and honest with no hidden fees. Ryan was knowledgeable about our venue (Mount Hood Skibowl), and even helped with creating our wedding day timeline. He made every moment special, such as playing music during our cocktail hour, dinner, and even while we cut the cake. (That was one of my favorite moments of our wedding, the music during the cake cutting!) His musical transitions between cocktail hour, dinner, after dinner visiting, speeches, cake cutting, and first dances were flawless and well-thought-out. When our timeline got a little offtrack towards the beginning of our reception, he calmly and easily went with the flow. Ryan also checked in with us throughout the evening to make sure we were enjoying the music and if we needed help with anything. He played all of our dance song requests and he had such a fun mix of music that kept so many of our guests dancing that night! We couldn’t have had such an amazing wedding reception without Ryan and are so thankful we found him.

Ryan Hein did an amazing job. We booked a year before the wedding and he had constant talk through the year up until the wedding day! We worked together to create a perfect wedding day rundown, complete from ceremony to end of reception. He is very outgoing, personable, and overall, FUN! When I first found Ryan on here, I couldn’t believe he had 5 star reviews but once he helped us with our wedding I realized he deserves every 5 star review he has on here! He is amazing, so kind and literally helped us through the entire wedding with minimal effort and he was ever the consummate professional. Ryan was very on top of things, worked great alongside our day-of wedding coordinator, and even went the extra step to send us a thank you card after working our event. A stand-up guy and a great business.

Ryan is a phenomenal DJ and the person you want to have next to you at your wedding. His enthusiasm and positivity is contagious, and he kept us excited throughout the entire process (including having to postpone our original wedding due to COVID). Ryan is responsive and a wealth of knowledge. He is truly experienced at what he does, and it shows. He helped us get back on track seamlessly when our wedding had to start a little later because of traffic from an accident on the highway leading to our venue. He kept the dance floor packed. Multiple people commented on how much fun they had, and I attribute much of that to the atmosphere Ryan set. He personalizes so many details, and you can tell that he genuinely loves his work. Ryan from Perfect Memory Events is the best DJ you could ask for at your wedding. He did my sister's wedding 3 years ago and from the pure joy and energy he brought, along with many guests asking for his company information to hire him themselves, I knew I wanted to have him be a part of my wedding as well. Ryan was the very first vendor my husband and I contacted when we began planning and it was truly the best choice. Ryan took the time to have a phone call that fit our schedules and he was willing to walk us through everything from his role to the scheduling and role of others since we were just beginning our planning journey and appreciated all the advice we could get. He went above and beyond what we could have hoped for within the first time talking with him! Ryan's energy and passion for what he does is unmatched and you can feel it deeply in all he does. He made us feel like every decision we made was the best and perfect for us and reassured not only ourselves but our wedding party and families involved in the ceremony and toasts as well. Along with this, he actually listens to requests! My grandma is an avid dancer at weddings and he played her the perfect song on request for her to party to on the dance floor which made everyone's night. From emails and phone calls to helping us be exactly where we needed to be during the wedding day, Ryan did more than we could have asked for and made us feel nothing but joy and excitement the entire time. We absolutely LOVED working with Ryan!! Working with him was such a breeze and so much fun. He was super understanding and accommodating when we had to change our wedding date due to COVID. He was very communicative, super easy to get ahold of with questions and has a huge database of recommendations for songs which was extremely helpful. He has you fill out planning sheets and acts almost like a day-of-coordinator on top of being an awesome DJ! The songs he played were PERFECT both at the ceremony and during the reception. Our reception was SO MUCH FUN and we received countless comments about what a fun wedding it was and how good the music was! Ryan is honestly the one of the best decisions we have made for our wedding! I wasn’t sure I needed a DJ and thought that instead I would just save the money, but I went to a friends wedding and noticed there is so much work that a DJ helps with that maybe it really was necessary to book one. And let me tell you, it IS necessary!! I found Ryan on theknot and gave him a call and it was already a couple months until the big day so I wasn’t sure if he could squeeze us in. From our first phone call he was nice enough to get to know me and what I want for the wedding, he was ready to help me through the whole scheduling process of our reception, and he was ready to help with the details involved with the reception!! Ryan has just the best energy and after just that 1 phone call I felt like I could definitely trust him for our big day. On our wedding day he did SO much to make sure that we were enjoying the day and checking in on us. He was awesome and the music was great!! My husband and I were dancing our booties off the whole night!! Thank you so much Ryan!!

We loved Ryan! From our first encounter with him all the way up until our wedding day, he went above and beyond. When you meet Ryan it's clear how passionate he is about the industry and making your day everything you dreamt. We had family members play our processional music. Ryan offered to bring them a reading stand and even setup mics so that their music would carry throughout the ceremony seating. After the wedding, our violinist and guitarist told us Ryan was the most prepared and kindest dj they had ever worked with at a wedding. Ryan also took extra time to ensure our videographer had adequate audio and all of our speakers had appropriate mics. He did an amazing job mc'ing our wedding, keeping everything on track, and played a great combination of music to keep the dance floor going. We could not recommend Ryan enough!

Ryan at Perfect Memory Events was AWESOME!! We had a COVID wedding so our plans had to change a LOT and Ryan was there for us through all of it. Not only did Ryan provide the absolute best music and MC skills the day of (both ceremony and reception), but he was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, helping out with timeline and ideas for fun things to add to the reception. He was so great about coordinating with all our vendors day of which took so much stress off our shoulders and just allowed us to enjoy ourselves and celebrate our favorite day ever! Cannot recommend Ryan highly enough!!!! From the first minute of our first phone call, we knew he was right for our wedding. He made the planning process as smooth and complete as possible and gave us the utmost confidence that the wedding would run smoothly. Then, as things changed, he was encouraging and supportive the entire time. On the day of, he was a consummate professional and performed flawlessly. The day was perfect, and Ryan ensured the flow of everything was great. Perfect Memory Events is absolutely amazing and so fantastically easy to deal with, it made our whole event so much easier to plan. Unforeseen events had us looking for a DJ with just two months left before the wedding, but even with such sort notice Ryan did incredibly! As soon as I got on the phone with Ryan, I knew I had called the right person. He was so professional and organized you could tell he was truly dedicated to making sure our event went off without a hitch and that everyone was happy and entertained. He responded quickly and efficiently to every email, question, and concern we had, and helped us organize so many things for the big event. Now the biggest compliment we could ever give Ryan doesn't even come from us, but from the guests at our reception. Almost all of our guests came up to us after the reception gushing about how amazing Ryan was and how he kept the dance floor ABSOLUTELY PACKED for the reception. Music is the thing that brought myself and my spouse together, so we were extremely nervous about picking a DJ, but Ryan listened to every request we had and played everything we wanted to hear (and didn't play the things we asked not to hear). AMAZING!!! Ryan helped us from day one. He made time to meet us, plan out music and timing of events, and recommended different lighting styles for the venue. The first time we met Ryan, he was planning out our ceremony and venue down to the “T”. We requested special music and events during the wedding, worked around last minute changes with us, and made the night perfect. Ryan went above and beyond to make our wedding a perfect memory.

Ryan Hein from Perfect Memory Events literally made our wedding perfect! He talked us through each step of the planning process as well as the wedding day AND helped me plan a surprise piano performance for my husband at the reception which included doing instrument set up and sound check. He was so kind and listened to all of my musical demands (must play and must not play lists). He was so kind and kept the atmosphere positive and energized! He also showed tons of flexibility when we had to change the schedule last minute. The day definitely wouldn’t have been as special or perfect with another vendor!

Ryan was AMAZING! He is so accommodating, enthusiastic and organized. We had a lot of special requests and Ryan happily obliged to every request! I can't imagine working through this day with anyone else. On top of working through the musical requests of the night he really helped put my bridal worries and anxiousness at ease. Ryan is one of the very best things to happen to our wedding! His many stellar reviews are what led us to meet with him, and we knew right away we did not need to look any further. Throughout the process Ryan was just amazing. He met with us multiple times, had so many amazing ideas and suggestions and was just so positive and encouraging through all the stress of wedding planning. Stop looking and hire Ryan from PM Events! He is hands down the best wedding DJ you can find and is a much more reasonable price than a lot of DJs we encountered on our search. Ryan went above and beyond on our wedding day and we got multiple asks from our guests for who our DJ was. He literally ran the show for us. We did not hire a day of coordinator and that would not have been possible without Ryan. He gave cues to our officiant and photographer, worked with the catering staff to properly time dinner and ask guests to their seats, coordinated timing for our first dance, cake cutting, and special dances, and worked seamlessly with our guests — interspersing song requests with the mood and overall vibe we were looking for. At our first meeting (before we even hired him!) he helped us create a mock up run of show for our entire wedding and gave us suggestions and ideas that we ended up using day of. Before the wedding we had an additional in person meet up and phone call to make sure we were all on the same page. Music and dancing were hugely important for me and he far exceeded our expectations. He made sure we had drinks before toasts, informed my dad and my husbands mom before the respective father daughter/mother son dances were to happen, and played all of the songs we said were ‘must play.’ His sound system during the ceremony was incredible and we got tons of compliments about how well the guests could hear us - both the officiant and groom were mic-ed up with lapel mics and we were all very clear in sound when speaking. Hire Ryan! He helped make our day what it was and we are so so thankful for him. We would hire him again and again over.

Ryan loves his job and his company and it's completely reflected in his energy and work! He found a unique and beautiful rendition of a song for the bride's processional and it had everyone in goosebumps and tears. It was stunning. Throughout the night he kept the special moments "moving" and played the best music. We even had to extend the party! Being a wedding coordinator and in the industry for a few years, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Ryan again and I'd highly recommend him to any couple.

Ryan was an not just an amazing DJ, but a fantastic resource for all things wedding. He helped us with the timeline for the entire day and provided us with recommendations for other vendors he's worked with. He was more than willing to go above and beyond and meet with us when we needed to review something. Beyond that, he was enthusiastic about the entire wedding and made us feel like he truly wanted to be there. He played all our song requests and kept everyone dancing all night. Couldn't recommend Ryan enough.
