Located in Bellevue, Washington, Perfect Storm Moments is the culmination of collaborations between two of the industry’s top wedding and event professionals, Amy Rathbone and Aaron Shook, along with their team of creative, experienced, passionate individuals, dedicated to creating unique and elevated wedding and event experiences. Regardless of the style of event, you are envisioning, what matters most is that it speaks to who you are. We see you as a couple, as a team, as friends, as colleagues, as parents, as philanthropic citizens, as pet owners, or as sustainably-minded stewards. Whoever you are and whatever is important to you, we take it all in, and work with you to build your perfect wedding story.
Weddings can be edgy, big, or bold, they can be whimsical, intimate or sweet, they can be beautifully simplistic, or they can surprise and delight around every turn. Our clients are those with an adventurous spirit and fine taste. They appreciate fun and meaningful moments and won’t settle for a cookie-cutter event that could belong to just anyone. They choose our team for our out-of-the-box approach to design, an established presence in the wedding and event industry, and elevated expectations in event style and service. Although based in the Greater Seattle area, Perfect Storm Moments is available for weddings throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest region and beyond. Whenever we got off the phone with them or met them in person, we would leave the meeting with a huge smile and sense of relief that we were in the best hands for our big day. Any stress points we had they immediately alleviated, and they were a source of calming energy and professionalism the entire time, plus they are just wonderful people to be around!
Throughout the weekend, they were beyond on top of every little detail and schedule. At one point, Amy saw me just looking around and asked who I was looking for and immediately went and got the person I was hunting for at the party. I swear, if one of us fell back, I think they would have caught us lol! I want to throw another party just to work with them again!

The day of the wedding was much less stressful knowing that they had everything in control. We also worked with them for our florals which turned out more beautiful than we imagined - knowing that Amy sourced so much of the florals locally was wonderful. ements in our wedding, and they were right there, giving us support and excitement for the day to be fully ours and reflective of us. They live up to their name and in my opinion, do kick-ass work for a kick-ass experience for bride, groom, and guests. Their communication was always timely, and all their venue and vendor recommendations were spot-on. To be honest, I have so few photos of the day because I was too busy enjoying the activities Aaron and Amy had helped set up. From the moment we met them, it felt like we were working with our friends to create a meaningful experience.

I felt so relieved after our introductory call with them and was immediately sure this was the best investment we could make for our wedding day. rted with a budget, where PSM accounted for everything that we could possibly want or need to spend money on; they kept us on schedule with monthly meetings and reminders; they provided us their recommended options for each facet of the wedding; they provided us gentle guidance when we strayed by over- or under-planning; and when we asserted that we wanted to go with a more expensive stationary, they understood and made it work within our budget.
We also admire that Amy and Aaron are committed to sustainable planning and took steps to ensure that each facet of the wedding wasn’t wasteful. PSM also handled our floral design. Amy and Aaron exceeded every expectation we had, from the live plants around the sweetheart table, to the fantastic centerpieces, which were so good our guests picked flowers out of them and took them home. The backdrop to our ceremony that Amy constructed was absolutely beautiful.
While we’d like to think of ourselves as low-key and deferential to Amy and Aaron, there were probably many things in the background that they “just took care of” without us having to intervene, which fulfilled the original goal. Aside from the professional relationship, Amy and Aaron are very kind folks who we shared nearly two years of contact with and established a bond for the purpose of celebrating love. up to the wedding, they helped us with all our questions and thought of a lot of things we never would have on our own. The day-of went extremely smooth, including a lot of last-minute changes to the guest list and seating arrangements. They also did our decorations for the event. We had a tight budget for decor and they absolutely exceeded expectations. We 100% recommend them!

In the beginning I wasn’t sure what to expect, all I could think about was how overwhelmed I was to have to figure all of it out with my mom! But Aaron & Amy came to the rescue, stepped in, took the lead on every task no matter the size, answered every question promptly, gathered/reviewed contracts, directed people to where they needed to be, the flow of the wedding day, etc. Because of these two incredible people, I got one of the greatest gifts: my family (especially my mom) was able to be completely relax, be present & enjoy our special day from start to finish. wanted a wedding day that was uniquely ours, a day that was fun and full of love, and a day that we would never forget. Amy and Aaron made that happen for us. Like many others, COVID-19 tremendously impacted our original wedding plans, leading us to reschedule four different wedding events. But with Amy and Aaron on our team, a very challenging experience was made a lot less stressful. Ultimately we landed on a destination wedding and they took care of absolutely everything; furniture rentals, decorations, communication with vendors, graphic design, RSVP management, timeline creation, navigating the ever-changing weather (and last minute tent installation), floral arrangements, and so much more. Most importantly, they made the entire experience and wedding day enjoyable and unforgettable for both my husband and myself as well as our family and friends.

mother-of the-bride) can tell you, planning a wedding in 2020 could not be a more challenging experience. While we originally enlisted Amy and Aaron as our day-of-wedding coordination team, their combined experience and expertise in the local hospitality and event planning industry guided us through many complicated and stressful decisions after our original plans went by the wayside due to Covid-19. Their knowledge of local and state rules and guidelines also proved invaluable as we downsized from a large wedding for over 150 guests to a small intimate ceremony for 20. With just 2 weeks before the big day, Amy and Aaron came up with a plan that included a lovely dinner followed by a uniquely decorated, creative and personal wedding space. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests and could not have asked for a more memorable day and experience. We are hoping to hold a larger celebration next year and look forward to working with Amy and Aaron again. Not only are they a fantastic wedding planning duo, they are very special people too!

y. Having a husband-wife team was the perfect choice for us. Not only did I have superior personal support from Amy, but my husband also had Aaron to lean on for his personal support. I wanted as stress-free as possible, elegant, outdoor wedding and I just didn’t have the time and didn’t have a clue where to begin and only had 5 months to plan it. We gave them very little to go with, Rustic, Elegant, the color of bridesmaids’ dresses and the layout of our property. I put all my trust in them and let them take the wheel to do the rest. From the invitation to the decorations, flowers, cake, caterers, DJ they put together the most AMAZING Wedding day for us. It was perfect in every way. Our guests could not stop talking about it, they said it was the most beautiful, well put together wedding they had ever attended. As a couple who felt overwhelmed by the prospect of all the details involved in a 100+ person wedding in West Seattle (with mostly out-of-town guests), Amy and Aaron put us at ease right away and knew we had found the best match for what we were looking for.
They were incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and got results right away in areas that we were struggling or unfamiliar with (chair rentals, transportation, design, etc.) Their connections in the wedding and event industry cannot be understated and have been doing this for years, which allowed them to find vendors right away!
