mprove our client experience. We're saddened to hear that your experience with Petaled Pail & Co. did not meet your expectations. We know that wedding days are once in a lifetime and a very significant milestone for our clients, their families and friends. We never take that for granted. You do make a few very powerful points in your review that I would like to provide some clarification on for any potential brides that may be reading your review. First, you mention: "They promised me the world and did not deliver". We are very careful in all of our discussions with clients, from initial consult, through meetings and walkthroughs along the way, right up until event day, to learn and confirm details and are very careful about what we're promising. Specifically, we have NEVER promised anyone "the world". Quite frankly, we have not yet encountered a client with a budget that size. With regard to your "vision board". We do create very beautiful "Style Portfolios" for our clients often using some of the photos that they provide us to be used as inspiration for our designs. It is always explained, typically more than once, and it's also stated in our contract, that we never replicate or copy someone else's designs, whether that is from another real wedding, or a Pinterest photo. These photos are used for inspiration only, most often for style, color palettes, texture purposes etc. We do also discuss the size of the designs in inspiration photos and how sizes can be adjusted up or down to accommodate budgets. Further, we discuss our client's budget specifically and how the size of the designs and also the floral varieties we'll be using for their day apply to that individual budget. Those conversations are sometimes difficult, but necessary and we did have those conversations with you more than once. In reference to "They ran out of ribbon for pews " You were absolutely provided all of the flowers that you paid for and were promised. The discrepancy here was that you provided us an inaccurate # of rows of pews at the church. To be exact, there were 12 additional rows on each side of the aisle and upon installation our team made the last minute decision to space the designs evenly on each side. We made a best judgment call with that decision (which we reserve the right to do and is also stated in our contract). I'm sorry if you were unhappy with that. That said, we did arrive to the church on time for installation on the aisle and of the welcome sign. There was indeed traffic that day (typically everyday in downtown STL) and there was no close parking for us to carry a heavy mirror (welcome sign) in with extra care. Sometimes, we do encounter situations beyond our control such as these. That's why we do always add in an additional cushion of time in case this happens. We're also at the mercy of churches and venues and their rules for granting vendor access times. In your case, we were allowed to access the church one hour prior to ceremony time. Which effectively yes, was plenty of time. You're correct, my team was still there doing a final walkthrough to be sure everything was in perfect position when your mom and a few family members arrived to the church approximately 40 minutes prior to ceremony time. Further, our team is very professional, well dressed, and we never see any harm in one extra walk through, or last minute touches. Most of our clients appreciate that. There was absolutely no risk of interfering with guest arrival or your ceremony. The statement that is most upsetting, "I was absolutely disappointed walking into my ballroom on my wedding day." We never want this to happen and it's actually one of our worst fears. We have a lot of discussions with clients about venue selection, in particular with regard to ballroom size, colors, lighting and other aesthetics and the impact that florals, decor and their respective budget allocation can have (or not have). CPP has a very big ballroom. This discussion was had and your budget was not flexible. We can only explain that to our clients, make suggestions, and ultimately work within the budgets that we're given. With regard to your request for a refund, over the course of the year that we worked together we went above and beyond to accommodate you, even meeting outside of business hours on several occasions to discuss not only florals, but other areas that would have been better suited discussions with a wedding planner. A service, by the way, that we recommended and even offered you, which you declined. You were provided every design and every service outlined in your final floral summary and even more, as a courtesy. I explained, in our discussion of your complaints that those meetings and services were not billed as a courtesy because we wanted to be sure we covered all of the details and were on the same page with you to be able to meet your expectations. Last, your contract, floral summary, Aisle Planner acct, along with all other correspondence was not quickly deleted. It was archived. We assume that our clients are maintaining their own copies and documentation for their records and simply archive all projects following an event to make room for our upcoming events and new clients on our software and various CMS platforms. In closing, I really want to express my most sincere apology for your regrets. We set a very high standard for Petaled Pail & Co and are known for our exceptional attention to detail and care for our clients, and execution of beautiful experiences. It's very disheartening for me that you feel we missed that mark. We are human. I do wish you the very best. - Amy

We strive to provide each of our couples and clients with above and beyond treatment. When I say each, I am referring to all of them, regardless of whether they are full service, or a la carte clients. As a contracted a -la-carte client you acknowledged, at the time of contract signing and securing your date, that delivery and set up are only provided to our "full service" events, which is why you were required to pick up your personal (bouquets, boutonnieres, etc.) designs and return any rentals to us. Your location and your running behind leaving that day are unfortunately beyond our control. Our Rental Policy was discussed again much later, when you added our greenery wall to your rental list to serve as a photo backdrop. As a courtesy to you, we suggested it would be best if we delivered, set up and installed florals on both of the backdrops, which we did. It was also agreed and acknowledged when you initialed our rental policy on your final summary that you would still be required to disassemble and return rentals to us within seven days. You are correct in that your communication with me the following day was strong, also hostile and threatening, when informing me that you would not be returning rentals. For the safety of myself and my staff, at that point to avoid any further interaction, I agreed to return to the venue to disassemble and collect the rentals that you left in place there. It saddens me to hear that your bridesmaids bouquets were not designed to your satisfaction, as we did accommodate your request with your confirmation of the detailed final summary, to use the favorite floral varieties of each of your maids for their bouquets. If there was miscommunication there, again, we sincerely apologize. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review accounting your experience.
