Lisa did a great job with our wedding, particularly the flowers at our reception table and on the chuppah. On our wedding day, she was very transparent with us about how the recent...
hurricane impacted the supply of the flowers we had originally chosen. She pivoted by using some fake flowers that blended in well with the real flowers. Ultimately, everything looked beautiful! Would highly recommend Lisa to others looking for a wedding day florist!

sy to work with and made us very comfortable with everything the day of the wedding . The flowers where beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Petals and Promises for your wedding day or any special occasion.
Lisa of Petals and Promises was such a joy to work with. I talked to several florists and received multiple quotes before selecting Petals and Promises for our spring wedding. Much...
of my decision came down to Lisa's calm, helpful, and instructive demeanor. Like many brides (and grooms), I did not know much about wedding flowers before the wedding planning process and was overwhelmed by all of the choices. Lisa made things so simple and was frank and direct with us about what we needed and didn't need. Moreover, she is SO TALENTED! I simply loved my bouquet and got so many compliments on it. It added the dazzle to my wedding outfit. The bridesmaids' flowers, centerpieces, and venue decorations were also gorgeous. I loved hearing from my groom that she came to the rescue in getting everyone's boutonnieres on properly. She was so kind and calm during the big day, and that helped me stay calm as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I met Lisa at her house after I saw her beautiful designs on her website. I only knew my wedding colors and one design I loved of her portfolio. In one hour of discussion she put t...
ogether a full design including centerpieces, boutonnières, bride bouquet etc. I was very impressed and convinced. We just met one more time one month before the wedding to talk one more time and adjust the contract with the final number of pieces and I also added more flowers... The result was amazing. Each bouquet and centerpieces was so so pretty! One minor thing is somehow when she left, she didn't add the little flower decoration on the cake, but when my amazing wedding coordinator noticed and called, she came back quickly and the cake was decorated beautifully. Lisa is very professional and experienced as well as friendly, I recommend her to all busy brides that still want to impress their guests!
The thing I liked best about working with Lisa was just how receptive she was to any ideas I had and how helpful she was in translating my vision into the most perfect bouquets and...
centerpieces.
For our consultation, she actually made us a sample centerpiece. It was beyond perfect and became exactly what we used for the wedding. She was a joy to work with and her work is incredible. All of our guests raved about the flowers.
We used Petals and Promises for our June 2014 wedding in Alexandria, VA. Lisa was great to work with. She was able to stay within our budget and all the flowers were beautiful. We ...
also rented our chuppah through Petals and Promises and it tied the ceremony space together beautifully. I would highly recommend working with Lisa.
Lisa was AMAZING!!!! I cannot say enough good things about her. She made the most fabulous bouquet for me that was so unique i got compliments on it all night. Also my centerpieces...
were something i had seen from another florist in California and they were also very unique. She not only took on the challenge but even called the florist from California to do some research on the best way to execute them. They were fabulous and again i got more compliments on those!!! Her pricing was incredibly reasonable and she always happy and fun to work with. I would use her again in a heartbeat.
Lisa Sommers, owner/operator for Petals and Promises was amazing!! My flowers were beyond perfect - and my bouquet?!? I've never even heard of one this great! I talked Lisa through...
what I was hoping for, gave ideas and we talked though what I wanted. Lisa explained that some flowers were harder to get or keep than others, and came up with ideas to keep costs down, maximize the theme and my colors and then topped everything off with an amazing personal bouquet that was more than anything I'd hoped!
All in all - I have already referred several friends and would tell anyone I know who needs flowers - CALL HER!
Prices were wonderful, and I shopped around - never found anything this good with even half the quality!
