When looking for a florist for my wedding, I was extremely picky and nervous. Flowers were so very important to me and I had something very specific in mind. I met with a few florists, but it was when I met Alice that I knew the search was over. Before I even met her, she was so enthusiastic via email--the woman loves flowers--and you can tell. My husband and I went to her location for our first meeting. It was so great to be able to see them preparing flowers for a wedding that day--awesome to see what kind of quality she produced. So beautiful and meticulous. When Alice met with me, I could tell she knew her stuff and saw what I was going for. My only hesitation about everything was that I was worried that I wouldnt get to see a sample before the big day! Alice was very understanding and flexible and offered to do it for me weeks before the wedding using another brides flowers that were similar in color to mine--by that point I trusted that she would do a great job and didn't even feel the need to go see it before. So glad I didn't, because on the day of..the flowers...WERE PERFECT!!!!!!! so beautiful, and pretty. exactly what I had in mind. She even listened when I emphasized lots of candles, with a very romantic and rustic look. The centerpieces with the tapered candles she did were perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Alice knows what she is doing, and shes great at it. Thank you Alice!!

When we asked our reception venue who their favorite florist to work with was, he immediately recommended Petals by Alice. Her work for our July 2014 wedding proved to be a stunning reflection of what we were looking for! She was easy to work with, happily made adjustments to our plan as numbers got confirmed, and even took time on her day off to meet with me (an out of town bride). While her prices were higher than other quotes we received, we decided to go with her because of her experience with our location, her ample floral knowledge, and our confidence that she knew just what we wanted after our first meeting. The flowers really popped at both our wedding ceremony and reception and we were honored to be able to share the centerpieces as gifts to special guests. We would highly recommend Alice!

Petals by Alice did a truly spectacular job with our Rehearsal Dinner flowers. The bride was planning elegant and fancy flowers for her wedding (purple vanda orchids and calla lillies), so we wanted to stay in the same color scheme but with a different feel -- farmer's market and gardeny. Petals by Alice wove vines of purple clematis through centerpieces of lisianthus, Scabiosa, spray roses, zinnias, dusty miller and geranium leaf, hydrangea, and Love in a Mist. They were truly breathtaking -- and lasted beautifully, to be used again two mornings later for an after-the-wedding brunch. Alice gave great advice, but also responded so well to my very specific likes and dislikes. And the escort table centerpiece was knock-out. This is an events-only company, doing creative and very special work, and I would highly recommend Petals by Alice to anyone wishing for very special flowers for their special day.

Alice and her team did such a great job. I could not have envisioned flowers more beautiful for my wedding day! I got many compliments from guests on all the beautiful arrangements and bouquets. Alice is also very thorough, and professional...a pleasure to work with.

We loved working with Alice and our flowers were absolutely beautiful. She spent a lot of time going over exactly what I wanted - showing photos of other weddings at our venue which were extremely helpful. She also proposed alternatives when certain items were too expensive (for example, my initial preference for the mantle decor was for lanterns; as an alternative, she sourced candles). All of our guests commented on how lovely the flowers were! Many also mentioned that they lasted for several days after the wedding - you could tell that her stock was very high quality. Alice's organization and style was top notch throughout the process.

We received gorgeous centerpieces and arrangements by Petals by Alice. We gave her our vision and she exceeded our expectations. The flowers were fresh and vibrant and the quality was excellent. Alice offers fantastic customer service; she and her design team executed the delivery and set-up flawlessly. The guests complimented the floral design throughout our event.

We used Petals by Alice for our wedding at The Garrison Inn on 7/26/14. Alice and her team went above and beyond my expectations. Alice completely understood my vision and took the time with me to go over every detail before my wedding. She created the most gorgeous blush, white and ivory arrangements for our centerpieces. She also created the most amazing bouquets for both myself and my bridesmaids. The thing that impressed me the most were the very large (as requested by me) urns that were set in front of the pergola at the ceremony. She was able to use an amazing variety of blush, whites, ivories and light green flowers to create the urn flower arrangements that had both height and fullness. This was a little different set up than she usually does at this venue but she was happy and flexible with my vision and they turned out stunning. Our friends and family continue to tell us how wonderful the flowers looked. On another note, Alice and her team were true professionals throughout the planning process. Alice laid out a very organized contract for me so I knew there would be no "surprises" the day of the wedding. I would highly recommend Alice and her team!

Recently we had a wedding ceremony&reception at the Garrison, NY. If I did not speak to Alice and meet Alice&her team, I would have not done the business with. Alice&her team were sincerely discussed and worked for my ideal bouquets and the decoration of the venue. Alice was a pleasure from the beginning. I had relied on all of her great reviews when booking her and was not disappointed. We met early on before I knew how I wanted the wedding to look, and Alice gently guided me through different color combinations that would highlight the natural beauty of the Westchester venue. About 6 months before the wedding, we met again and changed the color palette - which was never a problem with Alice. She was very responsive to all of my emails and questions, to my last minute additions, and delivered the most beautiful floral arrangements. Everything was bright, with natural/rustic/organic feel to it. I'm a very picky person, and Alice totally nailed it. Trust her to do her job and she'll exceed expectations.

I cannot say enough about how happy I was with choosing "Petals by Alice" for my wedding. I met with several other florists before finding Alice and I just wasn't excited about anything that they had shown me. As soon as I sat down with Alice I knew I wanted to work with her. She completely understood the look I was going for and came up with something even better than I could have ever envisioned! My mother is a horticulturist (and therefore very picky about flowers) and she was also blown away by the final result. We recently used Alice for our October wedding and she was amazing! I came into her studio as the first florist we met with (we met with others following) and I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted at first but she was able to help guide me to create my perfect vision- which she then flawlessly executed!!! We got married outside at Greentree Country Club and the pergola that she did was so fabulous people talked about it non stop- she went above and beyond! The only (very minor) "complaint" I had was my bouquet was supposed to have a small cascade and it didn't but the bouquet was still so beautiful it's not really a complaint at all! Also very helpful was that Alice was very responsive which is important in my eyes. Thanks again to Alice for the beautiful flowers!

I can't say enough about Alice! Flowers were very important to me! From the very start I trusted her completely. She knows her business inside and out and will make your floral dreams come to live. When I walked into my reception I was flawed by how absolutely gorgeous everything looked. Every detail was attended to and was perfect. People were complimenting us on our centerpieces all night. My bouquet and my girls bouquets were everything I imagined and more. Alice, Junko, and Kayoko did an amazingly beautiful job with all of the flowers at the event, from the bouquets to the table settings. We received so many compliments on the flowers from everyone, including many who said that they usually never notice table settings. They worked tirelessly and were even able to get the hard to find blooms that I requested. They were also very communicative and always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Alice just did the flowers for my wedding on 8/31/2013. Everything was perfect. I explained to her my vision for my wedding and she perfectly created it. Alice kept in touch with me throughout the process, double checking everything that I wanted was included and correct, and making sure what I wanted and what she was making were one in the same. The flowers were absolutely in the perfect state of bloom, the types of flowers she used were of the best quality and were put together so beautifully. Before hiring Petals by Alice, I had done extensive research on a number of floral designers in Westchester for my wedding at the Wainwright House. I was looking for 3 important things: 1) someone who understood my vision, 2) dependability and 3) budget sensitivity. Alice delivered on all three and then some. From the moment I met Alice she was warm and welcoming and put me at ease. My vision had evolved leading up to the wedding and she accommodated my requests without hesitation. This past weekend Alice provided the flowers for our daughter's wedding - a palette of soft peaches, pinks, and creamy whites were woven into truly magical bouquets, table pieces and other accents. Alice did my wedding this past July and the flowers were beautiful. Everything was just as I hoped for and more. We only had to meet one time before the wedding and she instantly got the feel for my wedding and helped me pick the centerpieces and ceremony flowers. My husband and I were married on October 28, 2012 -- the eve of Hurricane Sandy -- at The Garrison, in Garrison, New York. We wanted a Fall theme, so we asked Alice to focus on reds, oranges and yellows. For our wedding, we collected over 100 (no exaggeration) antique glass bottles in various colors and shapes, and we told Alice we really wanted her to incorporate ALL of them into the table centerpieces. Talk about tough customers! Alice's designs were absolutely stunning -- and she did indeed use them all. She managed to accentuate the particular style and character of each small bottle with the perfect arrangement of a few simple but beautiful flowers, and she gave the arrangements enough variety that absolutely nothing was generic or duplicative. We added a few pumpkins and gourds and some amber votives that Alice brought, and the tables looked elegant, tasteful and glamorous. We were also so impressed with Alice's designs for our chuppah, the aisle jars, the cake and the escort card table, where Alice gave us a centerpiece that incorporated artichokes, brussel sprouts and some tasty pears (that my husband snacked on at midnight in our honeymoon suite, since you never get to eat enough at your own wedding!) We truly loved the whole look and feel of our wedding, and it's really thanks to Alice.

"Petals By Alice" is exquisite. Alice and her staff are exceptional, imaginative and full of creativity. This past summer, Alice made my wedding at the Wainwright House [in Rye, NY] come alive, bringing together beautiful shades of coral, peach and apricot roses against green and white hydrangeas. Everything reflected the elegant, yet simple look and feel that we had in mind. Alice did an absolutely amazing job for our wedding on 9/30/12. We showed Alice some pictures of the types of flowers and colors [ideas that were scattered because we didn't really know what we were doing] we liked for our wedding and the result was even better than what we imagined. Our theme was bright orange and we were so concerned that the flowers wouldn't be as bright as we pictured being peachy or dull. But Alice understood us and delivered even more than what we imagined. From the pergola decor to bouquets to centerpieces, every piece Alice created was incredibly beautiful!! The large arrangements she made and the pergola decorations were more magnificent than we could ever have imagined. They made our outdoor ceremony absolutely magical! She used bright, eye-catching flowers that were unique and not what you would see in a typical flower arrangement and transformed them into art. Alice was very professional and accommodating during the entire wedding planning phase. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and always gave us very good suggestions. Wow! My flowers were everything I could ever want I went to Alice with a ton of ideas, but overall I rid not have an exact picture what I want. But Alice gave exactly want I wanted. We had an outdoor ceremony with a pergola, Alice covered in flowers and crystals matching my color scheme as well as matching the fall foliage. The centerpieces were tall manzanita branches with hanging votives and crystals, at the base was beautiful flowers. I have gotten so many compliments. Alice was a pleasure to work with, she was warm kind and understanding!

My daughter had an unusual theme. She wanted a "vintage, woodland fairytale wedding". Alice nailed it! The table arrangements were flawless and beautiful. The bouquets for the bride, maid of honor and bridesmaids were lovely. The arbor she created for the outdoor ceremony captured all of what the bride was looking for. We met with several florists prior to choosing Alice and ONLY ALICE met our standards. She is a consumate professional and visionary. Her arrangements are not just flowers. As for service, Alice has an amazing team who really care about each wedding as if it is the most important event ever. I've been to many weddings and corporate events and I've never seen arrangements like Alice's. She and her team are true artists.

Alice Norwick is an artist who creates masterpieces of color and shape with flowers. The way the colors blended in her bouquets and arrangements for my daughter's wedding was like a Monet's garden painting. Alice listened to what we wanted for the wedding and her designs, colors and choices of flowers exceeded our expectations. Every detail was finely crafted, from the exquisite and dramatic fabric draping at the ceremony site to the delicate tussie mussies for the mothers of the bride and groom. Alice's color palette echoed the September season of late summer to early fall perfectly. We were amazed to see the arrangement of flowers and fabric framing the beautiful view at the Hollow Brook Golf Club where the ceremony and reception took place. Table centerpieces were full of gorgeous flowers artisically arranged. Bouquets for the maids were bright and colorful against the subtle background of their grey dresses. It was all so beautiful and truly a masterpiece! Alice, we can't thank you enough.

We were referred to Alice by our venue - she had done several weddings at Wainwright House before so we took a chance and scheduled a meeting with her. At the meeting, I was nervous that our crazy ideas for centerpieces and decor would make flower-planning difficult, but I was pleased to find that Alice is as passionate and creative as I am - it was a perfect fit! The flowers at our event were incredible. Not only did Alice bring our vision to life, but she kept in close contact with me and sent me emails and texts about any ideas that she had that might add to our vision. As well, her knowledge of flowers was impressive - she taught me the names of more flowers than I've ever heard of in my whole life put together, and I really appreciated it. Also, of all of our vendors, coordinating the contract and payment with Alice was by far the easiest. As we made updates and changes to the decor, she immediately made note of it in our contract so that there was never a moment where we were unsure of how much we were spending. On the day of the wedding, she was on site and set up with plenty of time to go, and even was able to help me distribute flowers to my mothers of the bride/groom, flower girls, bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc. I put all my faith in Alice and she didn't let us down. I recommend her to anyone who has a creative side and wants someone who will really bring something special to their event.

Choosing Alice as our wedding florist was one of the best decisions we made in the planning of our special day. I must admit that, before planning my wedding, I knew very little about flowers. But that all changed after working with Alice. I really can’t sing her praises enough. Her knowledge and impeccable taste were apparent from the start and I immediately knew that I was in good hands just minutes into our first meeting. She took note of all of my and my fiance’s ideas and transformed them into arrangements that I could not have anticipated turning out more breathtaking. I think I actually gasped when I saw our final table arrangements all set up. They were absolutely stunning. As were my and my bridesmaid’s bouquets, and the boutonnieres. I can’t even tell you the number of guests who approached me to compliment the flowers and say they were some of the prettiest they had seen. If I could do it all over, I would choose to work with Alice again in a second. Not only does she create beautiful arrangements but she is organized, efficient, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Alice is a wonderful person to work with and her character and personality shine through in her work. She is very attentive to what you want, executes perfectly, and can run with your ideas as well. We wanted a very specific look for the altar and she nailed the look perfectly. We had an idea for the centerpieces, and she was able to make them even better. This means that if you have a specific look that you want, she can do it, and if you don't, she can put something together that will capture what you want. My husband and I worked with Alice this past June for our wedding at the Garrison. She came as a preferred vendor and she lived up to our expectations. Alice was never too busy to take my calls and answer my questions. She was alway prompt in her reply to questions and very personally invested in our happiness. All of the bouquets and centerpieces exceeded my expectations. She took my ideas and brought them to life. The DAY before our wedding, we realized that we forgot to make a headpiece for my husband's mother for a traditional ceremony. Alice took a piece of ivy from her own personal plant at her house to make us exactly what we needed. No hesitations!! Alice was more than willing to work with our budget and make adjustments when necessary. Most of all, Alice loves what she does and it shows. Alice did an absolutely amazing job on ALL of our wedding flowers! Everything was so beautiful, and we were so happy with every last arrangement. I absolutely loved my bouquet, and the center pieces really made the tables look amazing. It looked not only beautiful, but elegant, professionally done, she really did a great job. Petals by Alice is a phenomenal establishment! From the moment that I met Alice, I knew that her expert touch would help to bring my wedding alive. Alice was exceedingly prompt in all of her communications, and she was extremely amenable to my schedule. When we met, she ran through several different options within my price point (all lovely). She jumped in with suggestions when added, but was happy to let me take charge where I felt comfortable. Her expert advice served me well beyond the realm of flowers--for example, Alice advised me that navy tableclothes would be too dark in the evening and steered me towards champagne. However, she never pressured me in any direction...I always followed her guidance, but that was due to the fact that what she recommended was perfect time and again. Throughout the course of our working relationship, which spanned over a year while planning my wedding, she was always responsive while still letting me take the reins. Alice is flexible and accomodating to any sort of desires and budgets, and I cannot recommend Petals by Alice enough!

Alice did a great job working with my budget and vision of low and long arrangements of lush, garden-esque hydrangea, roses, tulips... The wedding flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I loved the bouquets and table arrangements especially. She was easy to work with and responds quickly to e-mail and phone calls. I highly recommend Alice and her team.

I had a wonderful experience working with Alice! I contacted her only a few weeks before the wedding, so we were never actually able to meet face to face. She was professional and always responded quickly to my emails or phone calls. She seemed confident in her ideas, and I trusted her completely. And I am so glad I did! She designed beautiful centerpieces that matched the decor of the venue perfectly. Everything came out better than I would have ever expected! I would definitely recommend using Petals by Alice for any event!

I'd like to start my review of Petals by Alice by saying that Alice was the first and only (!) floral designer that my now husband and I had met with for our March wedding. I cannot say enough nice things about Alice, but I'd first like to start by talking about how we found Alice. Our venue had a list of a few local Westchester florists that they recommended but that we were not required to use. I had heard of a few of these other florists through the grapevine,but I found that most of them had mixed reviews.. Then, one google search led to another which led me to Petals by Alice. Through looking at photos, I was amazed at her work. Alice also has nearly 100% positive reviews on every reviewable site! I was beyond impressed with Alice at our first meeting.We met in the office of Alice's workshop (she is not a florist!) and looked through photos, books, web albums of her work. Again, I was blown away. Alice's work is not that of your run of the mill, frou frou wedding flowers. Her designs are simple, elegant, classy and unique. Admittedly, my knowledge of flowers is a bit lacking... all I knew that I wanted was a hot pink bouquet! Alice sat with us for about 2 hours, went through every last detail of our wedding and bridal party to get a sense of the theme/style/our likes and dislikes. Alice is very detail oriented and literally wrote down all of our ideas in her notebook. From those, we were able to come up with all sorts of ideas for flowers, linen, candles and so forth. Alice was honest with pricing and worked to keep items within our price point. Any designer who sits with you before you sign a contract is certainly dedicated to a job well done. I had one more meeting with Alice before the wedding to view a sample of what my tables would look like. Again, I was beyond impressed with Alice's work and attention to every last detail that we had discussed. I would email Alice frequently with more ideas, questions, pictures etc and she took all of that into consideration.. remembering every last thing! With a large florist, you do not get this sort of attention to detail. Here, you work with Alice and ONLY Alice! For a stressed bride, this was such a blessing. On my wedding day, Alice and her staff were punctual and started the day early. They decorated the large hotel ballroom, the church (which was ~ 20 minutes from venue) and Alice herself came to pin all of the groomsmen, corsage the moms and deliver the bouquets herself. Oh.. and my cake! Alice helped to decorate my cake... it looked EXACTLY how I described that I wanted it. Simply stunning! My hot pink bouquet was everything I dreamed of! My girls' bouquets were equally as gorgeous - a simple arrangement of pale pink roses. It was so elegant. Our venue looked perfect.. we had smaller centerpieces of a ball of roses in a chandelier looking vase with candles and trinkets .. all of which sat on top of a mirror. I was going for sort of 1920s/elegant/vintagey sort of theme and these certainly fit that. We also had bows tied to chairs which helped to brighten the large ballroom. My guests were delighted to be able to take home centerpieces (which I purchased at Alice's suggestion.. so thankful that we did!) As you can tell by this ridiculously long review, I cannot say enough about Alice. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I will remember how beautiful everything was on my wedding day for years to come. A million thanks, Alice!!

I strongly urge you to meet with Alice before any other floral designer. You won't go elsewhere, I promise. She is as elegant and wonderful as the arrangements she designs. The number of comments received from the guests regarding the free-standing displays, the bouquets, and the centerpieces was staggering. My daughter's wedding was absolutely magical and Alice played a major role in making it so.

Alice was a dream vendor! She was able to guide us with her impeccable taste while keeping an eye on our budget. The flowers were spectacular, and blended in so well with the indoor/outdoor venue (Wainwright House in Rye, NY). The centerpieces were snapped up by the guests at the conclusion of the wedding, with many reporting that they lasted a couple of weeks! But the most important thing is Alice’s commitment to customer service and satisfaction. The wedding had to be postponed by a day at the last minute, due to Hurricane Irene. Alice didn’t miss a beat, but adjusted her schedule to accommodate us. We will never forget her beautiful work and great service!

I am so happy that I found Petals by Alice. When I was looking for a florist I found that many were over the top (in both aesthetics and price) or underwhelming and not creative. I was so happy when I met Alice - she had creative and unique designs, loads of experience, patience, and wonderful, thoughtful recommendations. I trusted her vision and knew that she would do a great job with our wedding, but I was not prepared for what I saw on our wedding day. The bouquets and floral arrangement were stunning,and our wedding canopy was so breathtaking...I will never forget walking down the aisle and joining my (now) husband in that beautiful space. I would recommend Alice and her wonderful staff to anyone. Thanks again!!

My wedding was on October 29th of this year and many of you will remember that we happened to have quite the winter snow storm. The weather caused a lot of havoc that day; with trees down, roads closed but despite all of this, Alice managed to get to the venue and do her job. She could easily have called me to cancel but she didn't which reflects her professionalism. The flowers she provided for my event were absolutely beautiful and she executed the vision I had for my big day without a flaw. Alice is incredibly professional, responsive and truly cares about providing the best service. I have nothing but rave reviews for Alice ! And one more thing, her prices were very reasonable and I found it incredibly helpful that during the planning process she was vocal about what was and wasn't within my budget since this was important to me. So with all of that said, i would without a doubt recommend Petals By Allice.

Right from our first meeting, I knew Alice was the right florist for me. I had met with other florists prior to meeting Alice, but I just didnt feel comfortable with them. I don't know much about flowers, and Alice was able to reccomend different types of flowers based on the colors I like. She also took a lot of time with me and showed me different photos of previous wedding's she's done, so I could get an idea for what I like. Alice was so patient, responsive, organized, and creative throughout the entire process. I had many requests, and Alice was able to handle all of them! She also was able to give me unbelievable suggestions. I think she has an amazing feel for what brides are looking for. Most importantly, the flowers at my wedding were BREATHTAKING. People are still telling me how beautiful my chuppah was. I highly reccomend Alice to anyone that wants someone easy and professional to work with, and also wants beautiful flowers on their wedding day! Thanks Alice!!

We were really impressed with the high professionalism, creativity and impecable taste of Alice. All the arrangements came out perfect- the size, the combination of colors and different kinds of flowers- everything came out perfect. Alice suggested we use lampshades as part of the arrangement for the tables, and it was such an unusual and elegant touch. All our guests commented on the beauty of bridal bouquets as well and I keep looking at the wedding pictures and admire the georgeous flowers that made this day even more beautiful. Thank you,Alice!

Alice was fantastic, and we're so glad she was our wedding florist. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, and the table centerpieces were exquisite. When I met with Alice, I had an idea of what I wanted, and she was generous with her time and expertise as we discussed and determined how to make it a reality. Not only did Alice match the colors I'd envisioned, but she also gave me the vintage style I wanted, both in the types and texture of the flowers as well as the vases she used. Everything was beautiful. My husband and I are most grateful to Alice for providing candles and glass urns for the church at the very last minute -- because of an unexpected snowstorm, there was no power in the church, and the morning of the wedding, Alice gathered up candles for the aisle and windowsills to brighten and warm up the church -- I don't know what we would have done without her!

It took me some time to write this review because I was searching for words that would do Alice justice. Thoreau, Wordworth, Whitman? Well, finally, I'm just reviewing from the heart. Alice was patient and creative and found a way to bring everything I dreamt of into her spectacular bouquets and centerpieces, and, well, everything. The centerpieces were lush and romantic, the vessels she chose, perfectly matched my personality and the vision I had, something of a combination of vintage and artistic, unique. I absolutely loved Alice's work. The flowers also lasted so long. The next day I saw my in-laws carrying a few centerpieces to their car and it looked like they could have been going to a wedding that day. Days later the centerpieces still were bright and so utterly gorgeous. I only wish I could have them growing throughout my home now. Also, I still cannot get over the value. Alice blew me away. So blessed to have found her!
