Together, Lisa Cushing and Laura Patino produce elegant and personalized floral arrangements for their clients’ weddings and other celebratory events. Petals by Design understands that every couple and wedding are like no other and therefore treat every event with a fresh, innovative approach. During consultations, Lisa and Laura gain an understanding of your personal preferences, styles, ideas, and specific requests. Taking these discussions onboard, they can then begin creating designs that symbolize your love story and dynamic as a couple. From romantic altar decor that flows down the aisle to tropical-inspired centerpieces, no design is too far fetched. All finalized creations are delivered, precisely set up, and then taken down at the of your unforgettable day. The flower arrangements and decor was perfect. The team coordinated delivery and set up with the venue without me having to get involved-but while constantly communicating with me. As an interior designer, I’m not easy to impress, and seeing her execution of the romantic southern gazebo and delicate aisle florals literally took my breath away. I had to stop to take it in before I could even walk down the aisle!

To be honest, I’m not a flowers person so I really just knew what I didn’t want and let my mother-in-law, husband and Lisa do the rest. decorate the ceremony with. I was happy to be able to get everything I wanted and stick to my budget with them. Lisa and Laura are both very sweet women. The main reason I cannot give them more stars is because of my bridal bouquet. We had a slight miscommunication with the portrait bouquet I got and it ended up being a disaster because of the colors of the flowers used. Laura and I had another meeting to make sure I got what I wanted on the wedding day, and they still fell short. While the color ended up being just in line with what I wanted, the bouquet was overly simple, full of roses and nothing else. Compared to the picture that I showed Laura over and over which included various flowers and even other types of plants that brought a lot of texture, I had no texture to my bouquet. I wish i had paid so much less and just held a bunch of hydrangea like my bridesmaids did, even though my bouquet was pretty and smelled very good. The other reason I had to go down to 3 stars was just lack of professionalism. More than once they replied to my emails calling me "Jackie" (another bride they were working with) and they lost my final check.

What was delivered was our very best understanding of what it was that you wanted, for the budget that you could spend. Lack of professionalism is a bit harsh. We are both nothing but polite and professional with all of our clients. A little bit of understanding goes a long way. Laura and I both communicate with many different brides (some our clients, some inquiring about using us) over the course of weeks and months, all with different names. We make every effort to be sure each bride has our undivided attention. To be penalized for one slip up in an email is surprising. The accounting error is extremely rare and unfortunate, and you were gracious enough to bring another check.

The day of our wedding, I walked into the reception and was in awe! Our flowers were BEAUTIFUL and EXACTLY what I requested. Prior to our big day, I sent Lisa a few images via email, and she was able to create an exact replica of the centerpieces and embellishments. The most important piece to me was the garland going on the Royal Table. Lisa took the image I sent her and my few comments and turned it into a gorgeous, breath taking piece. Furthermore, our guests could not stop talking about them! Again, I couldn't recommend her enough! LOVED EVERYTHING!

She also stuck around after the arrangements were set up to make sure everything was set in the right place and even went out of her way to make my garter smaller because it was to big and wouldn't stay put. Better than I ever could have dreamed. My color scheme was light pinks, whites and ivory with greenery and she knocked it out of the park.
