The flowers were stunning, but the experience of working with Petals was frustrating and disappointing. My husband and I met with Petals when we were considering vendors and Mark blew us away. He was friendly, had an eye for detail, and drew out what everything would look like. We paid our deposit and months later still had not heard anything from them. We reached out a little over a month before our wedding (the week before the final payment was due). They just confirmed that we had to pay and sent a link. They did not confirm details or check in-just sent a payment link...
I sent an email two weeks before saying I wanted to make sure everything was on track and connect. I got a call from a completely different woman, someone I have never spoken to who apologized for not reaching out to me. I asked about photographer florals and went through the full plan and confirmed the details for the day. Day of, they sent flower girl baskets that I did not want, need or order. They did not send the photographer florals requested either. They also set up our arch florals all wrong. We had agreed on and paid for 5 boxes on the arch that would be cohesive and connected then two large displays on stands at the start of the aisle. They set up three boxes on the arch that did not connect AT ALL and they had two small pots on the ground where my husband and I were supposed to stand. We could not reach anyone by phone day of.
Mark made a big show during our first meeting of how everything would be perfect and stressed how much they care and make sure the set-up is seamless. It was upsetting that the most expensive vendor was such a flop. We had to reach out to them for everything and then they set up the arch wrong. My bridal bouquet was lovely (which is why this review is 2 stars instead of 1), but I will never recommend Petals to anyone.
We worked with Petals for our wedding, and they truly brought our vision to life in the most beautiful way. From the bouquets to the centerpieces and ceremony arch, every single arrangement was breathtaking. They perfectly captured the look we were going for—elegant, natural, and filled with lush greenery and blooms. We were especially impressed by their creativity with the bride and bridesmaid bouquets, which made everything even more beautiful than we imagined.
One small detail was missed—eucalyptus greenery to add to our cake—but honestly, it didn’t take away from how incredible everything else was. The florists more than made up for it with the overall execution and the stunning floral displays that wowed us and our guests.
We couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Petals took our ideas and elevated them, creating a wedding day that felt uniquely us. We’re so grateful for their hard work and dedication, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a florist who can truly make your dream wedding come to life!
Petals absolutely perfected my wedding flower visions and more!! To be honest, flowers were not a priority to me but Mark at Petals made me so excited about my wedding day flowers!!! When I met with Mark, I showed him some pictures of my visions and he drew out for me what he had in mind based on my pictures! He made me so excited for my flowers and gave all these awesome ideas! I don't really know flowers, so I trusted everything he came up with after I saw how passionate he was! Mark and his team are truly artist with flowers! Petals was SO easy to work with and easy to communicate with.
My wedding flowers were everything that I was envisioning! My wedding boutique was STUNNING- beautiful, colorful tropical flowers!! I received so many compliments on my flowers! My bridesmaids flowers again were exactly what I was envisioning- white orchids and palm leaves- thanks for that idea, Mark! My cake flowers were awesome- really made the cake look so tropical! Any ideas I had, Petals was onboard and willing to make them come to life!!!
I highly, highly recommend Petals and will definitely use them in the future for any floral needs! It is so evident that Mark and his team are so passionate about creating beautiful and unique flower displays!!!

Mark and his team did an amazing job at our wedding at ICONA diamond beach. They created the tropical arrangements of our dreams, curating a huge arch arrangement all the way to the details of our dogs’ floral collars. He was there day of to set up for the ceremony/reception, as well stayed throughout the ceremony to move the arrangements to reuse them for the reception. Highly recommend their company for any weddings in the Wildwood area!
Petals did a GORGEOUS job with my flowers for the day! My bouquet was so unique and very me. From the moment we sat down with Grace, she got our vision immediately. I also love how when adjustments needed to be made to our order after our final payment, they were so flexible and helped enhance other parts of our flower arrangements. And the arbor? Perfection. Highly recommend!
Made the process super easy especially with having to plan our wedding from across the country during a pandemic. The flowers were beautiful and smelled amazing! The arrangements flowed perfectly with our wedding color. Will recommend them to all!
Our daughter, busy teaching high school, asked us to take care of the flowers. Mark's excitement and enthusiasm really stood out among the florists we interviewed. He made sketches of his ideas for us and was very creative in both the styling of the flowers and the variety of flowers used. The table arrangements were breathtakingly elegant. And small touches, like cascading arrangements for the bridal table and the arbor on the beach, drew a multitude of compliments from our guests. The bridal bouquets were stunning and even the boutonnieres grabbed your attention because of the varied flowers used. A wonderful success and Mark was the genius behind it!

Last month my best friend Lisa boyfriend decided to pop the question as he was back on leave from the military for 2 weeks. I needed to find a florist and see what they could do last minuet after being turned away from 2 since it was only days away I went to Petals. From the moment I walk in the door I felt relaxed and at ease the store was spotless and the staff was amazing I was greeted by Stacy who listened to my story she said relax you came to the right place. Stacy then introduced me to Karen who is a designer she walked me through everything. I left everything in Karen’s hand I couldn’t imagine how beautiful everything would turned out it was only a small service and last minuet but first class. If you looking for great customer service and breathtaking unique arrangement use petals they won’t disappoint.
Flowers is a huge expense when planning a wedding. Karen and Mark were amazing and worked on a package that worked within my budget for 12 centerpiece, all personal flowers for myself and wedding party, a decoration for ceremony overhead, which doubled as my sweetheart table decor during the reception, flower petals for ceremony, and even a small decoration on top of sign. I provided them with centerpieces, gave them my color palate and size requirements. I told them what type of flowers I liked but gave them free reign to do their vision- the results were amazing! The main thing is communication and they were really good at responding back. Thank you Karen & Mark!
Mark and Karen are are a dream team to work with!! They created me such an amazing lush garden look for my wedding. If you need a wedding florist go to Petals they are the BEST around!!
Details matter and the Petals team paid such specific attention to even the most minute details that I hadn't even considered. When meeting with Mark and Karen, our consultation was not only an experience in wedding flowers, but it enlightened our entire approach to the rest of the wedding as well because we received such valuable input and suggestions from seasoned wedding pros. And on the day, our floral arrangements and bouquets were absolutely spectacular. I cannot say enough good things about these true creative professionals.

Mark at Petals was our florist for our wedding last fall in Cape May, NJ. We worked with him on my wife's boquet, table arrangements for ~15 tables including a long head table, ceremony arrangement, and various arrangements around the venue including lighting (candles) for a 150 person wedding at Willow Creek Winery (i.e. pretty extensive work). From the start, Mark was incredibly professional and extremely creative and artistic. He came up with a very unique vision for our wedding that perfectly fit the venue and captured the style we were looking for. Mark also has an incredible amount of experience with venues in Cape May (and I would imagine many locations in the Jersey Shore) - and could recall rooms / layouts from memory. To say that our wedding guests were impressed by the flowers is a gross understatement; people were blown away. Many guests remarked afterwards that they had never seen such unique displays that fit a space so well in all of their years of attending weddings. In summary, Mark is an incredible artistic mind and a master of his craft - and the Petals staff worked tirelessly to arrange everything in a short window - anyone would be lucky to have Mark and Petals for their event.
I was looking for someone who would take my general idea and just run with it...Petals needed very little direction from me (perfect for a busy, working bride to be) and delivered stunning and unique, eye catching flowers for an early January winter wedding. In every picture of that day, the flowers just pop. I think the most telling compliment is that the guests all tried to steal the centerpieces at the end of the night...
My bouquet and one of the centerpieces together dried nicely and sits as decoration in my living room.

After our initial consultation, we decided it was best to let Mark and his team just create - because it's what they do best. I was impressed within the first five minutes. Mark doesn't pull out books or iPads with pictures of previous work - he sits down in front of you with blank paper and a pencil and organically draws his vision for your special day. It was amazing to see the ideas flow, page after page as the concepts developed. We booked Petals on the spot. Several months later, when we walked into our venue, we were speechless at the beauty that unfolded before us - centerpieces dripping with details, flowers I had never seen before. And designs that were unique and personalized, which is what Mark reinforced when he said "We can look at pictures of other designs from other weddings but that's not your wedding. You are here to get something custom designed especially for you, so let's go on the journey to discover what will be uniquely yours." It was a testament to my gut feeling - let artists do what they do best and you'll be in good hands. The team at Petals Floral Design are the best of the best and I have zero regrets. You will, too!
Petals exceeded our expectations for our wedding. The decor, the flower arrangements, the set up...everything was absolutely perfect! They are beyond amazing and I would highly recommend them for any occasion! They are very easy to work with and you don’t have to worry about anything...you can rest assured whatever it is you want, they will top it. Best floral shop ever!
Mark came recommended to us by our wedding venue, and after meeting with him, it was clear we didn’t need to look any further. My now husband and I didn’t know a whole lot about flowers, but we expressed our vision to him and he truly brought it to life. I changed my mind about a few details leading up to the wedding, and Mark made time in his schedule to talk to me about the changes and ultimately incorporated everything we wanted on our wedding day. Mark made the process easy, and really has a wonderful creative eye in putting arrangements together. He was communicative and easy to work with throughout our whole process.
