Peter & Peg are the best team to be with you on your big day. They are the perfect balance of professional and personable. They both give direction, have great eyes (particularly when it comes to the natural world) and are open to whatever vision you may have for whatever shot/angle you prefer. They are calming presences to be around on an otherwise hectic day. After the personal couple photos, we barely even noticed they were around (which was perfect)! Our photos came out better than we could have imagined. Our main objective was to capture the emotion and the fun of the day and they exceeded that goal with flying colors. The results are stunning and beaming with all of the feels we had on the best day of our lives. We could not recommend Peter & Peg more!

To say that having Peter and his wife Peg as our wedding photographers was amazing would be an understatement. They were seriously the best choice that we could have made! They have a style that made us feel comfortable during all of the "day of" photos, like we were just hanging out with friends, and leading up to the wedding day, Peter was incredibly accommodating, answering our (many!) questions and even getting us a second photographer when we decided that would be useful based on our timeline a few weeks before. We were very clear that we wanted a photographer who would be an integrated part of our day, one who would not interrupt our time with friends and family to take staged photographs, and Peter and Peg were so wonderful at capturing the moments as they happened throughout the night. And the pictures we got back (just a week and a half later I might add!) are just incredible--Peter truly was able to capture the joy and love that was our wedding day, and I know that we will treasure the photos for the rest of our lives!

Peter and Peg were amazing! From our first meeting with Peter, we could tell we were going to get along with him great ! He was laid back but took his role very seriously in making sure he captured our wedding day and everything about the day ! You can tell he loves what he does because of how excited he would get for certain shots (where the lighting was good, the scenery was just right etc.) and the photos that came of that are amazing ! Peter and Peg really eased our nerves as well, my husband wasn’t thrilled to have to take photos all day, but it didn’t feel like that, it felt like we were just hanging out with friends, which got us natural looking smiles and reactions ! They never stopped all day and captured the memories we will now have forever ! Thank you Peter and Peg!!

We had a wonderful experience with Peter Demuth, both for our engagement shoot and for our wedding as well. Peter was friendly and warm, but also very professional and detail oriented, which put us at ease. Peter and his wife Peg worked as a great team on the day of our wedding, and we could not be happier with the results. My wife and I disagreed on photographer . I concentrated more on price, saying you can’t see a difference in quality of pictures. Asking around people’s number one regret was a photographer or the lack of paying for a quality photographer. After looking at peter’s pictures compared to many other local photographers, even I could see a difference in quality. After meeting with Peter the decision was even easier. Laid back, and he cares about his work. After the wedding I had a lot of people say to me that our photographer was everywhere. Peter didn’t relax for one minute I don’t think. He caught all the best moments of our wedding. Don’t have regrets, because after your special day all you have are the pictures to remember your day. Peter was outstanding! Our pictures came out great and he was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were planning long distance and Peter made it really easy to coordinate all the details so everything ran smoothly the day of. Peter (and his wife, Peg) was our photographer for our June 2019 wedding and I highly recommend them. Not only were they professional and prompt, but are just the loveliest people and an absolute delight to be around. I generally feel a bit awkward in front of a camera but our photoshoot was very easy and comfortable. They both put me at ease and were fun to work with. They really went above and beyond our expectations, worked so hard and gave us a TON of gorgeous photos to choose from. I love Peter’s photography because he has a great sense of lighting and movement and it results in very natural and flattering candids, which is what my husband and I were looking for. Our families were also thrilled to see all of our beautiful photos from our special day. Would work with Peter again in a heartbeat.

Like any nervous bride, I searched day and night on the internet to find the perfect photographer. I came across Peter’s profile and decided that I wanted to meet him. While sitting and talking with Peter, I noticed that he had photographs of his work all over his studio. I looked at each photo and could see their story. To Peter, it wasn’t just a job, it was helping couples capture some of the most important stories of their lives. Those same sentiments carried through on our wedding day. Peter and Peg were extremely professional and efficient the day of the wedding. So much so that we were able to enjoy the entire day and we hardly noticed that they were there. What a wonderful experience it was working with Peter Demuth Photography! Peter and his wife Peg captured our special day perfectly. They were prompt, prepared and professional. When doing photo shoots, Peter was very good at directing everyone so that the best photos could be captured, and when he was shooting our ceremony and reception, he blended into the background so well, you almost forgot he was there. My husband and I asked to get some shots in nature, and between the ceremony and reception, Peter and Peg even trekked into the woods with us with all their equipment to get some fantastic shots. Peter Demuth Photography offers one of the best photobooths I have ever seen. The backdrop selection was amazing, there were great props, and Peg personally manned the photobooth throughout the reception. This means that she was able to tell the wedding guests if one of them was outside of the range of the camera, and also to capture the image when people were actually ready. The camera was high quality, so the images were clear and crisp. They handed out a card with the link at the wedding, and the photos were available by the next day. The photos came out so fantastically, we honestly consider the photos from the photobooth to be like having a second photographer. I would recommend Peter Demuth Photography for anyone looking for a photographer. I’m so happy that my special day will live on forever through these spectacular photos.

Peter and Peg were so great to work with! It was such a pleasure to have them with us throughout our wedding day. We absolutely loved working with Peter and his wife Peg. They were extremely professional while also being so friendly and easy to work with. Peter met us to take engagement photos (which we absolutely love) and we felt at ease with him right away. Meeting him for the engagement photos first made us feel very comfortable with him on the big day! During our wedding, Peter and Peg were always in the right place at the right time and were never in the way. Everything was planned ahead of time so there were no surprise questions or decisions to make in the midst of our ceremony and reception. Peter seemed to know our venue (Mohonk Mountain House) like the back of his hand and had a ton of great photo ideas in mind. He also graciously took some of our suggestions for shots and locations. After the wedding day, we went to Peter’s studio to review our shots with him and Peg and make some decisions about prints and albums. The entire experience working with Peter and Peg was wonderfully easy, friendly and professional. We would recommend Peter to absolutely anybody.

Peter and his wife are absolutely amazing! They made us feel at ease from the first time we sat down to talk. We booked with him for our engagement shoot and the pictures came out fantastic so we knew we made the right choice for our wedding. Peter has a great way to just capture your love in every picture; even when there’s extreme wind 9on the top of a mountain. My wife and I could simply not have made a better choice for a photographer. Peter has so much experience and it is abundantly clear through his kind demeanor and his professionalism. As a couple from NYC, having an upstate wedding... we really needed to depend on The Knot to find vendors so I am HAPPY to write this review to help a bride out! Peter and his wife Peg were such a pleasure to have on our big day. He 100% listened to our pre wedding call about what I was looking to capture and how important some photos were to us. The grounds we got married on were beautiful to begin with, but Peter captured images that were beyond what we were expecting. Not to mention, they are fast, friendly and genuinely nice people who truly understand how important this day is to you. We had the link to our pictures in a WEEK! The link is super user friendly and extremely well done. I highly recommend Peter for your wedding or any special day.

Peter was the photographer for our July wedding at Full Moon Resort in the Catskills. We chose Peter because we knew we wanted a photographer who specialized in outdoor shots, and who could capture our candid moments. We were fortunate enough in that Peter himself had been married at Full Moon Resort, having a photographer that knew the space well gave us piece of mind. Day of the wedding, Peter arrived early to make sure there was enough time to get all of our photos. He was very professional all day. His wife Pam was also very helpful. We felt that Peter was patient and we appreciated the way he took shots in many different locations on the venue's campus. The end result (after only 10 days!) was a collection of photos that captured the beauty of our outdoor location, including the many shades of green from the wooded areas. Additionally, Peter was able to capture some sweet moments between us and we have many candid shots with a mix of traditional photos with family and friends. We will cherish our photos for a lifetime, and that was what was most important to us. We're grateful Peter was able to provide us with these photo memories. One word of advice, we found it helpful to make a list of photo poses ahead of time, this allowed Peter and Pam to anticipate the types of photos we desired. Peter and Peg were so wonderful and made our wedding day in Montauk, NY perfect. We had the opportunity to meet Peter before the wedding for an engagement shoot. He took the time to get to know us personally, our style and what is important to us on the big day. The day of the wedding he truly listened to everything. He was very easy going and flexible while still proving guidance and their professional opinion. We wound up getting some additional first look photos in a spot Peter suggested and they are some of our favorites! He and Peg captured so many moments and were in all the action, yet at the same time we did not even notice they were there. We enjoyed working with Peter from the first time we spoke on the phone. It was important to us to work with a photographer that shared our vision of capturing authentic and beautiful photos that we would love for many years. Peter is easy going, personable and confident. He responded quickly to emails and all communication. We did not have to worry about photography the day of our wedding because we developed a plan with Peter prior to the wedding day. We appreciated that Peter was willing to photograph in settings we requested but also, more importantly, used his expertise to find other locations to create the most perfect images. We are impressed with the timely production of our photo gallery.

It was so great having Peter as our photographer. He was early and stayed late. He and his assistant Pam were easy to work with and very creative with our space. They made their way through crowded dining area and dance floor without getting in the way or interrupting. He also was prompt with our pictures!

Peter was fantastic! Throughout the process, he was fair, clear, friendly, and personable. We were drawn to his photography but stayed for the personal service and experience – and, of course, are delighted by the finished product! Day-of the event, Peter and his partner were quick and efficient, but comfortable being in the background rather than front and center. They quietly moved around our silent ceremony, capturing great pictures and special moments without drawing attention to himself or his camera. It was only after receiving the final photo book that we saw how much they were able to capture – which is exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. We knew what we wanted in our wedding photographer from the get-go: someone chill, fun and creative who could capture the essence of the day without making anything feel too staged. Peter Demuth and his wife are a tag team duo that are down for whatever the couple has in store for them. His photography has captivated us since my husband and I first started searching for a photographer for our Mohonk wedding. His eye for detail and ability to capture the essence of the couple and the space is outstanding and unmatched. We have been blown away by Peter and his willingness to go above any beyond. To capture our engagement photos, he joined us on an hike with our lively dog snapping pictures of us and our pup. Leading up to our wedding, Peter sent us detailed maps of where the lighting would be in certain areas of our venue so he could capture the best pictures for us on our special day. Peter truly outdid himself as he joined us for our first look and ran with us from place to place to ensure that we captured all of our favorite Mohonk views before the ceremony. We cannot stop looking through our amazing pictures from that day and are so glad that we had Peter there with us to capture it all!

We loved having Peter do the photography for our wedding. He met with us beforehand and we discussed our style, which really put us at ease leading us to the wedding. He and his assistant (his wife Peg) were super flexible and helpful during the wedding preparations. He also had scoped out the site prior to the wedding so he was prepared with different locations for us to shoot at. All the pictures turned out really well, and he had different options for albums or viewing parties. Overall, we are super pleased and have no regrets regarding our photographer choice.

Peter and his wife Peg were an amazing team. Peter was incredibly easy to communicate with, and he really understood what we wanted in our wedding photos. He even visited our venue (The Kaaterskill Inn) ahead of time to check out the setting which not all photographers offered. Not only that, he got us an online album to view within two weeks of our wedding! He was easy going, and flowed with us. We asked for a photo by the creek knowing there's not really a great path there, and he set up the perfect scene. We said we were adventurous and not afraid of walking into the forest and he made this happen! His cost was very fair, with quality images. We felt his prices were better and his photography just as good as higher priced photographers. We also ordered a few large prints from him which were beautiful in quality. It was absolutely a delight to work with Peter and Peg, Thank you!!!

Since the day we sat down to discuss our wedding pictures with Peter, I knew instantly that the important moments of our special day would be captured perfectly. Peter Demuth Photography absolutely made our wedding day! My husband and I were mostly on our own navigating the wedding planning process and found such a sweet, patient and professional guide in Peter Demuth. He asked all of the right questions to help share our day and was proactive, prepared, and absolutely professional. His photography equipment and artistic eye captured so many delicious, candid moments throughout the day. And his knowledge of our venue helped us find little tucked away gems for capturing the beauty of the venue. A wedding photographer was probably the one thing we spent the most time researching for our wedding. My husband and I looked on all of the wedding websites, saw albums, and met with several photographers. We wanted a good mix of staged and candid pictures with attention paid to details. When we sat down with Peter, we knew our search was over. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. It just felt right and his work obviously spoke for itself. Peter and Meg photographed our small intimate wedding back in 2009. Although we did a small gathering (justice of peace and home reception) Peter made sure our photos were nothing less than exclusive and beautiful. Peter Demuth was our wedding photographer in July 2016. From the time we began researching Peter's work through the wedding day and after, his superior talent, excellent taste and overall expertise was clear. After speaking with him, his knowledge and experience were obvious and we knew we were in good hands. On our wedding day, he was terrific. He was enthusiastic, had an easy manner and got along really well with everybody. Peter made ideal use of the light and the scenic atmosphere including a wide open field, forest, and river in the Catskills. Peter's portraits, naturalistic shots and candid photographs were all excellent. He also went above and beyond and stayed throughout our entire reception.He was great!

We absolutely loved having Peter and Peg photograph our wedding. Peter is incredibly talented and captured our day and our venue exactly as we remember it. It was important to us to have photos that captured unscripted people and venue both indoors and outdoors. Every photo does that with perfect colour, lighting, and harmony. We are blown away by the detail and care that went into each shot. Having Peter and Peg at our wedding was like having friends there. They are friendly, professional, and simultaneously everywhere and nowhere. The personalised photo website makes it easy for us, our friends, and our family to view and order the photos they’d like and Peter’s prints are both beautiful and reasonably priced. It was also wonderful to be able to do an engagement session with Peter and Peg. This allowed us to get to know them better and feel more at ease and less on display on our wedding day.

Peter was the best! His team was so on top of everything! They seemed to know exactly what I was thinking all the time and were always one step ahead! I don't think I am the most photogenic person, but they made me feel confident and relaxed the whole day. My fiancee doesn't love standing there posing for pictures, but Peter and his team made it go by super fast and we got so many pictures! and they are all amazing!! I can't imagine how we will ever be able to choose for an album because I literally want ALL of them! Peter and his team are such a joy to work with and are so easy going, but then very professional as well. I would recommend Peter Demuth Photography over and over! Peter and Meg are where it's at! As soon as I spoke to Peter on the phone, we just "clicked," and I knew I wanted him at our wedding. Planning our wedding was a crazy process, but none of my anxiety went towards photography. Peter just genuinely loves weddings and seemed to have a blast just documenting our day. I still think he was more excited about the day than I was at times! He is also incredibly fast when it comes to turnaround time. We literally got our digital photos back 4 days after our wedding! We also did an engagement photoshoot with him about 2 months before our wedding, and I'm so glad we did. He managed to capture so many beautiful images. I'm extremely self-critical and still I found so many photos that I love. I could not have been happier with Peter and Meg, and we were so pleased with their work that he will be doing my sister's wedding in 6 months!

Phenomenal Photography!!! To start, the wedding itself was a blur of anxiety, happiness, and excitement. You can only pray everything goes well. Also, I know all brides are unique, but I tend to be just plain awkward...especially when I have to pose for pictures. That's where Peter came in. He was like a ninja, moving through the crowds, snapping up moments I don't even remember happening and making us look phenomenal. The quality of pictures were superb. I shared my wedding pics with my family and friends and the compliments haven't stopped coming....the wedding was in June by the way. Peter's not pushy, didn't make us do lame poses and most importantly listened. I couldn't ask for more in a photographer.

When thinking about our wedding my husband and I picked out a few things that were "key items"...things we wanted to make sure we got the best and a photographer was one. We looked though many portfolios online and contacted different people however when we came across Peter's photos we were done looking!! All of his photos were beautiful and conveyed the same feel that we wanted- kind of a rustic, country chic. Since we were from out of town we did not meet Peter until a few days before the wedding when came out to look at our wedding location. The second we met him in person we again knew we had made the right choice. He spent hours hanging out with my family and walking around scoping out the property and different potential photo areas. I honestly wish we lived closer so we could hang out with him and his wife Peggy on a regular basis!! They are both so laid back and easy going. On the day of the wedding they did a fantastic job!! They were so sweet and helpful and accommodating when we (I) decided at the last minute I wanted a certain type of photo or a specific location. The locations he picked out were beautiful and I am so happy to have the photos to remember the day. Peter is highly highly recommended...looking back we would definitely hire him again!! My husband and I used peter as our photogrphaer for our June 2016 wedding. We are SO glad we did! Our photos are wonderful, and he was so attentive. General comments: so nice, calm, and fit right in with our crowd. His style is to take longer range shots that still look right up close. The result is that we completely forgot he was there! Our pictures show he was with us every minute but we couldn't tell. My husband and I have done the wedding circuit a few times now, and we laugh when others' photographers are right behind guests, lurking around the bride during cocktail hour. Peter was everything we wanted!! Cost: We opted for the digital package, because that works best for us, but we are also getting a printed album through him. I sifted through a TON of photographers and he was the best for the buck.

I don't have enough nice things to say about Peter and his assistant/gear goddess/parent wrangler (and wife) Peggy. From our first Skype session with Peter we were struck with how kind he was. Personally, I worry about how I look in pictures. It is very easy for me to look awkward, and I didn't want that to happen for our wedding pictures. For this reason, it was very important for us to do an engagement shoot with Peter. This was the greatest idea in the universe. We met up with Peter and Peggy in their home turf in Kingston, NY. We sat down and chatted a bit about logistics and got to know each other a bit. These folks are fun! We walked around the lovely town of Kingston, got some pictures taken and really connected with the two fine folks that were going to be in charge with recording the happiest day of our lives. Everything went very smoothly and we got some amazing shots around Kingston. We knew, even before the wedding, that we had made the right choice in photographer. And the wedding day? Peter and Peggy were rockstars! As the groom, I've got an easier go prior to the ceremony, so I saw Peter a little less in the morning. I knew that he was around, taking shots of the bride and ladies getting ready. The day was magical and Peter captured it beautifully. Him and Peg were great. Peg was great at getting our folks lined up for the family shots and Peter was amazing at identifying where to shoot and how to get us all looking super glamorous. The ceremony looked absolutely magical and he caught a great moment in our recessional that has been the go-to image that I send to folks that want pictures of the wedding. We also had planned to do some sunset portraits while folks were eating their dinner. This provided some private time for us and some amazing pictures with dramatic lighting. It was so great to have these shots. Peter and Peggy stayed longer than we expected them to and kept shooting till the bitter end. They seemed to be having as much fun as the rest of our guests and were so sweet the entire day. Peter and Peg are rockstars and I will be forever thankful of how awesome they were. Lastly, two days into our honeymoon we received an email telling us that the pictures were ready to view. This was certainly unexpected, but very welcome. We spent a long time looking through the pictures and re-living the day that had only happened mere days ago. The pictures look FANTASTIC! I’m so happy that we ended up picking Peter as our photographer. We couldn’t be any happier with our pictures. Thank you, Peter (and Peggy). You guys rock!

I could not have been happier with choosing Peter as our photographer! He was always prompt with any questions/requests via email prior to the wedding. You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day (more than most guests) so you want someone to make you feel comfortable. Peter is super easy to get along with and his wife Peg, who is his assistant, was also so friendly and calming. They didn't feel like awkward strangers with us on our day. During the wedding Peter took 1000s of shots which were beautiful and truly captured every moment of the day without ever feeling an overbearing presence of a photographer. Peter sent me the entire portfolio within 10 days of the wedding and we have gotten rave reviews of the quality. It was so important to us to have nature based photos and it is what Peter does best. I highly recommend Peter and could not be happier with what we got!

If you are looking for an amazing photographer who is also an incredible joy to be around, you should do whatever you need to in order to have Peter Demuth be your photographer at your wedding. He is incredibly knowledgable about how/when and where to take the best pictures and Peter makes you feel really comfortable if you are camera shy like I am. My husband and I had a lot of fun getting to know Peter and his lovely assistant Peg during our engagement pictures and wedding. My family is still talking about how fun it was to have Peter and Peg with us the day of the wedding and I have already recommended him to everyone I know who is getting married in the near future. He captured so many special moments that I didn't even realize he was able to capture until I was looking at the album online. I can't say enough how happy we were with our decision to hire Peter to photograph our wedding.

peter was great to work with. we did an engagement shoot with him as well and everything came out wonderful. I was not a very prepared bride, I did not have a shot list or really any kind of idea of what I was doing and pretty much blanked out for the wedding yet peter managed to wrangle us all together to get some really amazing shots. in hindsight there were a few shots that I would have wanted that we did not get, but that was 100% my fault. peter did great despite my fog. he really was like a ninja, half the shots I don't even know how he managed to get. we will definitely call him in the future if we ever need more pictures done.

Peter is not only an extremely incredible photographer, but while working with us, he new exactly how to help us get ready for the day. He asked all the right questions, planned everything out perfectly in advance (with exceptional help planning the group shots, and where we wanted our private shots taken) and worked with us on everything we requested. Furthermore, the quality of his work was outstanding. He never missed a moment, and took photos without ever imposing himself or distracting from the celebration. In addition to the beautiful posed photos he took of us, his remarkable talent for capturing absolutely stunning candid shots throughout both the ceremony and the reception truly made the entire day come to life again for us.
