A bunch of sepia-toned photos of us gazing into each other eyes with serious faces would have felt extremely fake - no shade to sepia or staring into each others eyes, I think those photos are beautiful (and we did get a couple beautiful serious ones and some black & white ones I love), but the look doesn't feel like us. I feel so seen by our photographers! Their customer service was also top notch - lots of communication and some above-and-beyond special touches that were incredibly thoughtful. You hear so many horror stories of trying to hunt down or communicate with wedding vendors, and there was none of that here. The Petersons are a shining example of great work and great to work with. I highly recommend them if you want beautiful, fun, vibrant photos and a really nice experience!

Marisa and Tim as a phenomenal team. They have an eye for great shots, their timely communication and attention to detail are second to none, and they made us feel so comfortable with their planning throughout the process. Since we couldn’t really do engagement photos because of the timing of everything shutting down, they used our Engagement Shoot (which was included in their package) to take photos of the wedding in advance! It was brilliant! We had our walk through and tasting at our venue prior to our wedding date, and Marisa and Tim joined us there, and got all of the photos we wanted around the venue so that on the big day we would have more time to enjoy the wedding! These guys are the real deal! We cannot recommend enough that you use them for all your wedding photo needs (don’t even get us started on the flat-lays of our wedding stationary - utter perfection), but also for guidance - they know what they are talking about! Marisa and Tim aren't just fantastic photographers (I just got my sneak peaks back and they seriously look straight from a magazine), they're funny and have a knack for making you feel relaxed. We booked them in 2019; they've been with us through THREE postponements and have been incredibly understanding and supportive. They also know the wedding industry very well and can recommend other fantastic vendors to you within your budget. I booked my florist (Urban Marigold) through them and am over the moon happy with how great all the florals looked. AND! They are so organized and know weddings so well that they don't need to be directed during your big day. My coordinator said that they are the best photographers she's ever worked with. Pat yourself on the back for your brilliant choice in hiring them. Your day is going to be amazing!

I truly cannot say enough good things about them. They made us feel comfortable they made us and our guests look amazing, they made all of our details look amazing, and they wrote two blogs about us. I will definitely be hiring them again when I need my next event captured. They are fun, funny, punctual, and professional. They make everything feel easy and low-stress. y of my life and knew I loved Peterson Photography's work and booked them as our first vendor. Through the next 9 months of crazy, chaos, and constant change Peterson Photography was right there with us. People always say to not skimp on photography, and I will 100% agree. When everything else was questionable, Peterson Photography was transparent and with us. If you don't have a planner, they help coordinate as best as possible with your other vendors to make sure you get all the special moments. I got married in September 2020 (and had a reception 1 year later that they also photographed) and got amazing memories that are hanging on my walls and have been enjoyed by family and friends on my Christmas cards, Thank You cards and more. I have 2 coworkers who had got married 2 months after my 1 year reception, and it's now 3 months later and they both haven't received official photos of their weddings from their photographers and can't even get in contact with their photographers. Marisa sent my husband and I teaser shots while we were on our honeymoon! Marisa communicated with me when I could expect my photos, and for my 2021 reception, let me know she may be running a little behind, but still delivered within her expected timeline. My 2020 wedding definitely didn't go as I had planned -- pandemic preventing any hugs or family moments, secondary location choice that wasn't the most beautiful space, hottest day on record with 117 degrees with no wind, all thrown together in less than 4 weeks... but you can't tell that by our photos. Marisa and Tim are amazing people, who are kind and caring. They are passionate about their work and will make every effort to make sure your biggest day is documented with beautiful shots filled with lasting memories. Marisa's eye for color and composition are phenomenal and Tim's technical skills make them a powerhouse photographer team. Our life has been chaos ever since, but our photographs remind us that even in the midst of crazy, we still have love and each other. They took a less than desirable location and made it look good.

Because of this, they were incredibly accommodating and we had a newlywed session in November 2021 at the LA Arboretum. Since it was our first photoshoot, my husband and I were nervous. Throughout the entire process, Marisa maintained communication, was super helpful with providing tips, and calmed our nerves! The photoshoot was so much fun! Marisa and Tim made us laugh the entire time, always keeping in mind the details that were important to us. If you’re looking for photographers who will partner with you while also creating beautiful photographs, we highly recommend them!

tons of fun. Everything was so casual and fun. They knew just how to pose us to make us look our best, and made us laugh plenty which ended up with tons of amazing candid shots. We were going to do their 1 hour package but ended up doing the 2 hours, and I'm so glad we did, as it gave us plenty of time to get comfortable and take amazing shots. If we weren't getting married in a different state we would have hired them to shoot our wedding in an instant. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I needed a photographer and was struggling to search for someone while wedding planning every other detail. It didn't take long to schedule a meeting and to say yes to the photos! Marissa and Tim were exceptional throughout the planning months; communication was clear, expectations were exceeded, and professionalism was extraordinary. Marissa did a wonderful job emailing me all agreements and plans in a timely manner. She designing our gorgeous invites and rsvp as well. Both also provided much needed guidance throughout the wedding planning months. On the day, Marissa came to photograph my get-ready as Tim went to photograph my groom miles away. We all came together for our ceremony, and later proceeded to the reception venue. Marisa and Tim were able to document what we requested and much more. I'm glad we booked extra hours and we were on the same page about the type of photography we were looking for, they absolutely got us! During some unfortunate events from our day, Marissa and Tim were there by our side prioritizing and keeping our day in high spirits. Years later, we look at our photos still in awe at what these two were able to simultaneously capture. The photos we have framed and that hang on our walls are unreal, almost paint-like. What I love about this duo is the way in which they treated us, we felt extremely comfortable with them and they treated us with empathy and understanding. Every question I had, reservation, or request was met with an abundance of care and detail. After months looking at wedding photos from other couples, I'm happy to say, our photos look genuine and timeless. Out of all the vendors a bride can hope for, these two went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had the most beautiful experience and final product. After looking online at many different photographers for hours & HOURS, we came across Marisa & Tims photography & immediately fell in love with their style. Finally the search was over! Initially we booked them for our engagement shoot that way we could meet them & make sure they were going to be the right fit for our wedding day. Before we could even get to doing the engagement shoot, we knew they were the right fit for us on our wedding day as well. Why? Because they were so very accommodating to our busy schedule, then once we had figured out a date & place to do the shoot.. the big CA fires happened and totally wiped out each area we were interested in shooting. Marisa & Tim got right to work on finding a place that would still give us everything we wanted & they did just that! It was so nice being able to sit down & talk with them being able to get to know them more & vise versa. The engagement shoot went so well & we all had a blast! All of the pictures turned out amazing & we couldn't have been happier with them. Finally we were to do our wedding day pictures & again they made it so effortless. They each really know how to make you comfortable & they set you up perfectly to take incredible pictures. I knew right away that these were people who I wanted a part of my special day. We talked about us, learned more about them, and went through the intricacies of our wedding day. My future husband and I left that conversation confident that for something as special as photography on our wedding day, this is who we wanted to go with. Not only were these good people, they are extremely skilled in photography and are excellent at planning ahead, full of creative ideas, and are supportive to the bride and groom throughout the stressful process. Marisa and Tim scoped out the location for our pre-ceremony photos so when they arrived on the day of the wedding, (early- I might add) they were ready to roll! They immediately got to work and started taking photos of us getting ready, capturing details, candids, and posed photos. The entire day went well thanks to Marisa and Tim. Everything from our first look photos, photos with family, and table touching went just as we wanted thanks to the prior planning we had with them and them being able to accomodate any hiccups that came up along the way. As a team, they were calm and collected throughout the day and made us feel comfortable and reassured. They even brought props to stage some great photos! They were professional, encouraging, and fun. The excellent customer service doesn't end after the wedding day either, I might add. Receiving our sneak peeks with a quick turnaround was SO AWESOME. We were able to immediately update our social media with the wedding pictures for friends and family to see. This made waiting for the rest a bit easier. The wait for the full album wasn’t long and we were happy and appreciative of the turnaround time. Overall we are extremely happy with our service and our photos! to say, this was huge for us because we had no experience taking professional photos. We did our engagement shoot in Joshua Tree and it’s safe to say we were nervous...that is, until we got behind the camera! Marisa and Tim have a knack for making people feel natural and comfortable behind the camera. They made us laugh, they made us smile, and they captured it all beautifully. When I show people my pictures from the engagement shoot and the sneak peaks from the big day (we got them within days, btw), people are blown away. They really cannot believe the beauty in the photos, and they always say my husband and I look like models (whatttttt, us?! No way!)...but that it all Marisa and Tim’s work. Final thing then I’m done..I have read countless stories about people going so long without their photos, or worrying about what they’ll get because they’re not sure if the photogs captured all the photos they wanted...those worries never once crossed my mind. We knew we were in the best hands the moment we met Marisa and Tim, and I seriously slept better at night knowing they were part of my team of vendors. Marisa put so much effort into my timeline, she’s the reason I had any sanity at all during the entire planning process. You will need a photography team whom you can trust to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments without being overbearing, able to wrangle even the most challenge groomsman or pet or family member, and committed to giving you moments of peace throughout the day. With Marisa and Tim, I promise you'll have all this and more. You'll also have the unique experience of working with a married couple whose own relationship will inspire you. They are a perfect team in every way. Three cute Marisa-and-Tim stories for your enjoyment: 1) Our wedding was located at a beautiful vineyard in Mendocino County, CA, and surrounded by other wineries' vineyards. Marisa and Tim drove up a day early to scout nearby locations for photos, and the morning before our wedding, Tim shared his findings: "So depending on how flexible you are with 'off-roading', I may have found some amazing spots." Long story short, we ended up getting stunning photos of the vineyards that I didn't realize were possible. (Get yourself a photographer who is willing to do go the extra mile... or two.) 2) When I was getting ready the morning of our wedding, I was somewhere in the hair-and-makeup process when I saw my wedding dress float by me. Before I even had a chance to react, Marisa called out "Just getting some details shots before you have to get dressed!" I never would have thought to do that! 3) When my husband was getting ready the morning of our wedding at his groom pad, he found himself battling nerves that left him unable to tie his own tie! Tim, always calm, set down his camera and saved the day with his steady hands to complete the perfect double Windsor in record time. They kept us relaxed, present, hydrated, and laughing. Oh and they designed our gorgeous invitations! And our photos were better than I ever could have imagined!

They took our engagement and wedding photos and I am in love with how they turned out! Marisa and Tim made the entire process so fun and easy for us! Marisa was always accessible for any questions or concerns I had. We had a couple of meetings to discuss where we wanted our photos taken and which FREE props we wanted to use. They have so many different signs and accessories to make each of our photos unique to us. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again. Next thing we did was make an appointment to meet and the rest was history! We really appreciated how personable they were during our meetings and leading up to our big day; it felt like friends taking our photos rather than just photographers doing a job. We also love how they were very flexible with our crazy schedules and most importantly their prices fit perfectly in our budget and well worth it!! They were totally accommodating and modern in being able to communicate from a distance. At first we thought we didn’t need an engagement shoot but so happy they convinced us because it prepped us for the big day of what to do and what expect to practice smiling and having fun. This was definitely a great idea especially if you are not used to having pictures taken of you. Its a lot different then a selfy with your cell Phone. Lol. They worked with us to find a location of our style and took care of the booking of the location. They came out amazing and we couldn’t wait until the wedding. Being that Marissa & Tim work within the wedding industry she was an awesome resource for questions about other vendors and ultimately recommended our Wedding Coordinator to us. The wedding photos came out AMAZING as they were there for ALL the right moments. They were extremely accommodating to our guest as well as they often times asked for candid shots through out the wedding. We highly highly highly recommend them and will use them for some of our future shoots for Holidays and family events.

Having two photographers was great because during our cocktail hour Marisa could take photos of the details while Tim took photos of us with our guests. Also, they have photographed tons of weddings so they had great general tips for wedding planning.

Marisa and her husband helped us make decisions, provided guidance, and were just the sweetest. Marisa was always available by email to answer any questions as well. Then came the wedding day! Marisa was on-time and professional. My boquet was gorgeous and perfect. I also had to change between two dresses after the ceremony and Marisa provided me with a changing tent since everything was outdoors, this was so helpful that she had this available. She provided wonderful, easy direction and captured some amazing pictures. There was a little bit of hiking involved to get to some of the areas for pictures and she was a trooper and wasn't afraid to get a little dirty for good angles/pics. She really helped make me feel beautiful on my wedding day. She also eas able to capture amazing photos of our dog who hates getting her picture taken, definitely takes a ton of talent to get a good picture of her! She kept us in the loop from beginning to end for this whole process. When I received the flash drive with my pics in the mail, it came in such a cutely decorated box with a thank you note, some magnets, and info. I was thoroughly impressed and excited. The pictures turned out amazing!! I don't know if I'm just biased, but I feel like my wedding photos are better than any other wedding photos I've ever seen. I definitely picked the right and most perfect photographer to capture our special day. As special events continue to occur in life, I will continue to contact Peterson Design Photography for all future photography sessions to document those special occurrences.

d Tim were so helpful and professional. They worked with our very strict budget and she even gifted me some time to take pictures of my dress and details while getting ready!! I truly did not deserve it, but they went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them, they showed up on time, they stick to the timeline, and are super friendly. Their work is amazing my husband and I are not photogenic at all, yet they made us feel so calm, and made us look so good. Also I highly recommend having an engagement session beforehand, that is my only regret, I wish we had had one. These guys are worth so much more than what they charge, they made our day extra special and gave us amazing pictures to look back on.

they were indeed free on the date we requested. My next question for her was whether or not they would be willing to travel to San Diego from Fullerton. For a small fee, they were, and we were totally willing to pay that! Marisa then set-up a time for us to meet with her and Tim to make sure they were a good “fit” in terms of photography style we were looking for. We love their natural light photography and I spent hours pouring over their blog just picturing my wedding shot in that style. They did not disappoint! We met one more time before the big day just to solidify all of the details. Marisa and Tim arrived early the day of the wedding to get a feel for the venue. Then, they arrived at the rental house to take shots of details including dress, rings, etc. After, we all headed over to the event venue where I finished getting dressed. At this point, Marisa was able to focus on me and my bridesmaids while Tim got to focus on my husband and his groomsmen. Once we had the getting ready photos done, we headed outside for our first look and group photos with the bridal party then some more one-on-ones with just me and my husband. Marisa and Tim worked so efficiently that we still had some time to enjoy a glass of champagne before heading down to the ceremony site. Marisa and Tim then spent the rest of the day photographing our ceremony at Sunset Cliffs (which turned out beautiful in the pictures—their natural light photography really highlighted the beauty of the location), then our reception at the Thursday Club. They made sure they got the shots we wanted such as us at the sweetheart table, our guests dancing, a group shot, some sunset pictures, and a last picture of the evening shot, which turned out to be one of my favorites. Marisa was also speedy in editing the photos and getting them sent to us on a flash drive. On a side note, Marisa also designed our invitations and rsvp cards and worked with us to find something we loved! The prices were very reasonable and the design was awesome. I cannot thank Marisa and Tim enough!

their website, I was sold. My husband Tim (another haha) and I have so much in common with this couple, it's ridiculous. Speaking of which, how cool is it that this photography duo is married? I loved their story and hoped that they were in our humble budget. Finally - an incredible team of photographers we could afford! The Petersons charge hourly for weddings, which is SO wonderful. I honestly couldn't find one photography company that does that in Orange County. This means that you're not limited to a 2-3 package options, with little to no flexibility. You can choose how long you want them to be there; not to mention, their hourly prices are so fair. Honestly, their prices are a steal for the quality of photographs, attention to detail, and just pure awesomeness of Marisa and Tim. Plus, yes, you get TWO photographers! The Petersons arrived promptly to our wedding venue - the Fullerton Arboretum. They were there bright and early taking detailed shots of my gown and accessories. I was a nervous wreck that morning, as many brides are, and Tim was just so cool to talk to while I was waiting for everyone to arrive to finish preparations. That really set the scene for the whole day. The duo captured each and every moment of our wedding ceremony(without me crying in too many pictures, YES!) and reception. After the ceremony, our guest list was so small that we all fit into one picture! Taking one large group photo was probably one of my favorite moments of our wedding. After, Marisa and Tim efficiently and kindly took photos of the rest of our families. We then took some adorable bridal and groom's party photos, and finally took bride/groom photos. This was the part I was nervous about, because I hate posing for pictures. It's so awkward for me. Marisa has great tips on how to pose which created beautiful pictures! The whole experience was so fun. My husband and I were just laughing and having so much fun the whole time. Our wedding reception was next. We were a bit unconventional and held our reception at a restaurant: Matador Cantina in Downtown Fullerton (best idea every, by the way). I wasn't sure how pictures were going to work in that space, but Marisa and Tim did their magic and took beautiful shots of our place settings, decorations, food, guests, and of course, us.They even stayed overtime when our friends and family just couldn't leave! So, our wedding was a blast. Now we get to relieve all of the incredible memories from the Peterson's photos. In fact, our flash drive arrived yesterday with nearly 3,000 PICTURES for us to enjoy. Nearly every moment was captured through their lenses. They even decorate the box, which was a super precious surprise. One day later, I can't stop looking at all of our gorgeous photos. s. They are two wonderful people and amazing photographers! We had the pleasure of doing both our engagement shoot and our wedding day with them. We were not disappointed in the results! It's one thing to go into a shoot hoping for good photos, and another entirely walking into the shoot (or down the aisle) knowing you can trust your photographer to deliver AMAZING photos! We already booked (a year in advance) our first anniversary shoot with them and look forward to it! As far as budget, they could not be more affordable. They charge an hourly rate and provide you with all the digital files of your photos so that you can created/print your own album. For a small extra fee they can also shoot polaroids on your special day! How cool is that?!? HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! GO AHEAD AND TRUST THEM WITH YOUR SPECIAL DAY, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
