Before I go on to talk about how good a DJ Pete is, let me just say that he's probably the best well-kept secret of the Houston wedding world. You won't come across him at bridal expos or see him popping up all over wedding websites and magazines; in fact, the only way we found out about him in the first place was through a referral from our wedding planner at Eventology Weddings. My husband and I were stressing over finding a DJ who would be able to deliver our demands: we definitely wanted to blast some full-out EDM, but we also needed to appease our older guests with a few of Frank Sinatra's classics; my parents were begging for some Earth, Wind, and Fire; and we needed to get our guests on the floor with some line dances and Top 40s hits. What we needed was a well-versed DJ to establish that oh-so delicate balance. So yes, having never heard of Pete before, I was definitely a bit skeptical at first, but when we were quoted a mere $850 for 5hrs, we decided to take a leap of faith... and it paid off! My husband met with Pete only once before our wedding, but he listened to our concerns and delivered exactly the genres we wanted at exactly the timeframes we wanted. He got our First Dance, Bouquet Toss, Garter Toss, and Final Dance songs right, and he did great with MC'ing and -working conjointly with our wedding planner- kept the party on schedule. He was also super charismatic, charming, and engaging with our guests. My husband and I attend a lot of EDM shows and festivals, so we didn't know how much to expect when he started playing EDM near the end of the night, but damn, Pete brought down the freakin house! Being surrounded by friends, dranks, and that bumpin' bass, there was a point where I actually forgot I was at my own wedding... (My elder relatives told me the next morning they didn't know Dustin and I could get down like that. Oops...haha!) Anyway, that just comes to show you how awesome of a DJ Pete turned out to be. My only complaint would be that he wasn't as responsive as I would have liked. When we sent emails, it would take a few days to get a response - which felt like YEARS to an anxiously-awaiting bride. He's also located all the way down in La Porte, which made it difficult for us to meet with him. If you can get over that, then I definitely recommend checking Pete out. $750 for 4hrs - you just can't beat that price!

My husband keeps saying "wasn't that a great dj!". Kept the reception going. Very helpful. Great selection of music. Good value.

If you like to party, go with Pete! We had an awesome reception thanks to Pete. From the lighting to the Karaoke, all of our guests had a wonderful time!

Pete's Mobile DJ Service kept us dancing all night long. We didn't have that clear of an idea of what songs we wanted to hear during the reception, so he went around to each table while they were eating and took requests from everyone, which was a very nice touch. Throughout the night, we heard a ton of excellent songs, and he did a good job of reading the energy on the dance floor, and switching between slow and fast songs as needed. Beyond the music selection, he also did a great job as our MC, making sure to get everyone's attention when we were cutting the cake, and throwing the bouquet, and things like that. We highly recommend him!

I had the owner Pete at my wedding and he was AWESOME. He had my family and friends dancing until close...and that is all you can ask for. All night he made sure that I knew what was coming and make sure I was ready. He was truly the best DJ ever and very reasonable.

Pete's mobile dj service went above and beyond to make our wedding fun and entertaining. They had great ideas but at the same time encouraged us to do exactly what we wanted for our wedding.

Pete knows how to keep a party going. He visited many tables before the reception to build relationships and take requests, (something he does at every wedding), he then mixed the music in such a way that the dance floor was crowded and people were requesting music all night. Dustin and I are indebted to Pete for keeping the crowd around and for engaging with both of us in a way that made us feel very special. Pete is ONE OF A KIND and truly ensured we had a memorable experience. If you do anything for your wedding, book Pete.

He was very nice and easy to work with. He had great equpiment and really good at following the timeline;Make sure he has a list of all the names of the bridal party. I emailed him a list of songs(cake cutting song garter song) and names but he ended up playing his own songs. He said he didn't get it but I know he got it.
