We hired Denetia for our small wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding a couple weeks ago. Everything was absolutely delicious! Everything ran very smoothly as well. She dropped everything off and it was set up perfectly. The cupcakes were individually packaged which was very cute and convenient for our guests. Guests were taking the cupcakes home almost 10 at a time! We loved working with chef Denetia and we plan on getting cupcakes from her store every year for our anniversary.

So easy to work with! From the moment we did our tasting we knew we needed to look no further. They delivered such quality goods and extremely aesthetically pleasing! We had so many people reach out to us after our wedding to tell us that was the BEST desserts they’ve ever had. I made sure to tell them exactly where they came from! Not to mention the beautiful set up they did for our wedding! Could not have been any better!

Chef Denetia hit it out of the park again! She made a dairy-free cake (even with a vegan buttercream frosting!) for my clients. They raved about the taste and their guests could not believe it was dairy-free! The cake not only tasted great, but it was gorgeous also. Thanks, Denetia. Chef Denetia was amazing to work with! She is incredibly responsive and professional. I worked with her to coordinate a cake for a corporate event and sent her a few pictures from Pinterest for design inspiration. She truly brought the designs to life and made the cake look even better than the pictures I had sent her. On top of that the flavors of the cake were perfect. She is the best to work with, I highly recommend!

I can’t wait to work with Chef Denetia again! We added a dessert vendor last minute and she was wonderful! She is so positive and accommodating. I was very impressed at her attention to detail and that she wanted her desserts and presentation to match our wedding “vibe.” Obviously the “proof is in the pudding” and I can’t rave enough about how delicious everything was! We will certainly use her again in the future and highly recommend Petite Sweets!

Petite Sweets makes the most delicious, yet beautiful desserts! My intimate bridal shower table was overflowing with gorgeous desserts that my guests could not stop raving about! Denetia and Petite Sweets made our day even more special with her desserts! We hired her pretty last minute when our original wedding plans fell through due to Covid. She helped bring a “Fall” dessert theme to life with her unique bites and even included some of my personal favorites by request! Her dessert set up was so professional and beautiful, and fit our theme so well! She was so easy to work with!

Denetia is an amazing Pastry Chef! She was very understanding with our change of plans due to covid, and stuck with us through all the cancellations and replanting. When I first met with Denetia for a little tasting, she was extremely friendly and it was a fun meeting. I was allowed to pick 8 different mini desserts in a white box that were set at each guests table spot. Let me just say the desserts were so good that people were asking if we had extra boxes. Our guests thought that the presentation and taste of each dessert was phenomenal! She also made our cake that we just used for cutting, and I could have ate the whole cake to myself.. it was so moist and delicious. I could go on and on about how amazing Detroit Petite Sweets is. We pick Petite Sweets Detroit after attending a party and having her desserts! They exceeded my expectations. I used them for my wedding January 25, 2020. It was the highlight of my wedding reception. I worked with Chef Denetia to design a large wedding cake that was partial dummy (fake). It was beautiful and looked exactly as I had dreamed. The cake tasted Delicious and the small dessert table we ordered with it was a crowd favorite. I will be using this company for all of my family functions and my sisters wedding next year. So excited I found this company on Instagram. Thank you Chef Denetia for being so flexible with all of my many changes and ideas (I know there were a lot). Do your self a favor and order from Petite Sweets you and your guest will be impressed.

Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 5, 2020 and we unfortunately have to postpone to 2021 due to COVID-19. Denetia was extremely professional and understanding and did not hesitate to send a new contract with our new date. It was such a weight off our shoulders. I crave her cupcakes every day (especially the oreo and blackberry cheesecake...omg) and are so glad we will still have her for our wedding next year!

I love how Denetia will take my client's event design and come up with a style for the cake or the sweet table. Her desserts taste as good as they look. She also responds in a timely manner with all correspondence. It's highly appreciated!

Denetia was incredible to work with and we can't recommend Petite Sweets enough! We knew we wanted more than a traditional cake for our wedding - we wanted an entire dessert table, and Denetia made our vision a reality! The presentation was PERFECT and Denetia made sure everything fit into our overall look of the wedding. But most importantly, everything tasted amazing. Our guests could not say enough good things about the dessert table. I just wish we had ordered more!

Great taste!! What made this the best option for us is she provided all dishes, cake stands, and platters needed for such a cute display. The desserts are very cute and we worked with the owner Denetia to come up with a design of the wedding cake. She had great communication throughout our whole process. Very easy to work with and delicious desserts. Very much worth every penny. We were even able to rent all of the dishes and cakes stands for the dessert table from them. which saved us a lot of money in the end as I had priced out dishes to buy but it was so much cheaper to rent from Petite Sweets. One of our favorite parts of the wedding planning. We love desserts!

Everything looked as good as it tasted! Even the gluten-free options we're good. Besides the incredible taste of the wedding cake and cupcakes, was the presentation. everything was displayed beautifully and was well organized. For any part of your wedding journey. YES YES YES ALL THE YES! Found her on Instagram. Everything was even better than I expected. I met with Denetia for my wedding cake. She was really amazing! Easy to work with, creative, and gave ideas for such awesome and unique presentation options. Fast forward to my wedding. FLAWLESS! We did a 4 tier wedding cake and a small dessert assortment. The cake was moist, delicious and beautiful. They delivered, set up, and cam back at the end of the night and broke down and cleaned up. so easy. We didn't get desserts on our wedding night but tasted some that were put aside for us the next day. just Delicious!! 10 stars. I really enjoyed working with her my wedding it was such a focus point that everyone enjoyed.

I got married on July 20th of this year and used Chef Denetia for My bridal shower and wedding. For my bridal shower I order a single layered cake and small dessert table. It was absolutely beautiful! Everything tasted equally as beautiful as it looked. She made a beautiful display that matched our theme perfectly. My mom and aunts couldn't stop raving about it. Everyone took pictures in front of the take they thought it was so cute. For my wedding Chef Denetia made use a 3 tier wedding cake with and a dessert table. It was the highlight of the wedding. I couldn't be more excited when I saw how beautiful everything looked in the room. Her and her team delivered and set everything up and came back at the end to collect the equipment. It was really a pleasure having Petite Sweets as a part of my wedding day. I have had so many family members asking about the desserts and commenting on how impressed they were with everything. I would recommend her to anyone looking for beautiful cakes, gorgeous dessert displays and tasty treats! Cant wait to use them again for all my parties!

My wedding was on 7/14/18. I initially was not going to write a review, but every time I think about my wedding or see our wedding video or look at pictures of our reception, I get furious. When we had our initial consultation with Denetia in January 2018, she was wonderful. The samples were moist and delicious. She was personable and professional. We hired Denetia to create a 9 tier dummy cake (supposedly about 5 ft tall) along with 3 sheet cakes. We created sketches on that date and we picked flavors. About 2 weeks before our wedding, the final payment was due. She sent over a final invoice but the cake design was completely different than what was in the contract and we were told that the original design could not be done. I was devastated and let my wedding planner handle it. We were back to the original design (or so I thought), so I paid the balance. When I walked into our wedding reception, I was so happy until I spotted the cake. It was NOT what we agreed on. It was about 3 ft tall. It was poorly designed. The fresh rose on the flower teir were wilted. The monogram looked hand written with poor handwriting. It did not look professionally done. What was suppose to be a focal point of my reception was a huge disappointment. I had been bragging about her and this cake for months and now I was embarrassed. Furthermore, the sheet cake that was actually served did not taste anything like the samples at the tasting. They were nice looking, but dry. Many of my guests did not finish their desserts. Afterwards, I communicated with her through email about my disappointment. My wedding planner had already let her team know upon delivery that the cake was unacceptable. (My wedding planner even knew it would be a problem before I saw it.) Her response to my concerns, "I have been doing wedding cakes and pastries for 15 years as a business owner and college instructor and have never experienced a unsatisfied customer I do extend the resolution of a refund for the dummy cake less the material cost." I received a refund of $100.80, which is less than 10% of my overall invoice. I thought I was finding my lifelong baker, but I really just found my lifelong nightmare. I am truly surprised that there are not more negative reviews, which hurts me even more. Are we really one of a couple people who have experienced this?

Absolutely wonderful!! Denetia is amazing with her work and every piece of dessert is so beautiful. We had the dessert table at our wedding as well as a small donut wall and a wedding cake. The desserts were gone in under 30 minutes. 1,500 pieces gone so fast because everything was delicious. The presentation is so pretty and she provided all the display pieces. I also love how we will receive a fresh cake for our one year anniversary. I pride myself in my love of sweets and I highly recommend Petite Sweets!!

This place is GODSENT!!!!!! Denetia got my vision allllll along!!!! She came through with everything and with ONLY FLYING COLORS!!!! She made my fairytale come true. The cake I wanted to look like it was marble (stone) on the outside and with a modern cake topper and she did is exquisitely!!!! The dessert table had two different flavors of cupcakes and then the cake had three tiers. The two tiers on the bottom were real and the top was a dummy. Altogether, people could choose between four different flavors once the cake was cut and set on the dessert table. They could either have vanilla bean cake, carrot cake, a chocolate cupcake with oreo frosting and a little oreo on top, or a wild berry lemon cupcake with gold foiling on it for presentation! Then I had her do my bridal shower favors which were deliciousssss!!!! She made me fortune cookies and dipped them in different chocolate colors and inside was a fortune she made for everyone with random love quotes and on the other side my husband and I name and wedding date and wrapped in a little bag with a bow!!!! All HER!!!! She is the best and I will never go anywhere else!!!!!

Our desert table was amazing!! Not only does everything taste amazing but Denetia’s presentation is truly unique. She puts a lot of time and thought into making sure it not only tastes but looks amazing.

No one can stop talking about our amazing dessert table at our wedding. Wow! Denetia creates absolutely breathtaking desserts that are both beautiful to look at AND absolutely delicious. She will make all of your dessert dreams come true. Highly recommended!!!

Our dessert table was JAWDROPPING!!!!! I seriously was so excited that I almost screamed when I saw it - Denetia knew exactly what I was going for with the style/theme of the wedding and she nailed it! The table was a gorgeous display of delicious, utterly scrumptious desserts. Denetia not only makes INCREDIBLE desserts, but she styles them up really nicely too, and I am so happy that we found her for our wedding! Would recommend and cannot wait to have an event that needs desserts catered so I can work with her again!!!!

Petite Sweets put together an amazing dessert table for my daughter's wedding. It was an eye-popping WOW moment. The children, especially, were counting down the minutes until the dessert table was open. But the adults were right behind them. Everything looked gorgeous and nearly every piece was gobbled up by the end of the night - surely a sign that it all tasted as good as it looked. Chef Denetia is a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The process for tastings, proposals, contracts, payments, delivery and pick-up is flawless. She's a total pro! I hope to have an occasion to call upon Petite Sweets in the future. It's tempting to invent a reason for a party just so I can experience their stunning work again.

Denetia’s cake and desserts are to die for. The dessert tables looked stunning as did our cake. Both flavors of the cake were delicious and we can’t wait to have the rest that we froze. The mini desserts were so tasty, especially the creme brulee donuts. She was very professional and responsive throughout the process. She even set up homemade truffles my husband and I made along with her desserts. Petite Sweets is a great pick.

Just writing this review has me salivating! Denetia's cake and dessert table was a major hit at my wedding! We got married June 8, 2019 and my guests are still talking about how good everything tasted! We didn't have anything left over! If we hadn't had the venue serve my husband and I cake we would've missed out on the goodness! Thanks again for your excellent service and vision, we truly appreciate you!

HOLY COW. Denetia was awesome. I met with her a year and a half before the wedding and tasted all of the cupcake flavors. I ended up going with a dessert table and my guests RAVED about how amazing it all tasted. We had an absolutely beautiful wedding cake and dessert table and I could not have pictured it more beautiful. I cannot wait for our anniversary cake!!! I might even order some cake pops to go with it!!! Or maybe chocolate covered oreos... chocolate covered rice krispies... Cake shooters... and so much more. YUM. HIRE HER.

Petite Sweets was absolutely fantastic! We could not have been happier. They actually also will do your floral arrangement too! We could not have been happier with the floral arrangements! We ended up doing the various different types of dessert as compared to just a cake..... it was a HUGE HIT! We did not take home many pieces from the dessert table, everyone loved the setup, the types of dessert, etc. The price was affordable also for what we requested. Now on the floral arrangement, Petite sweets was able to take the quote we had received from another business and used the exact same flowers, etc...... Petite sweets beat that quote by a decent sum of money, I cannot remember exact dollar amounts but I remember it was quite a bit of money, not to mention how beautiful all of the flowers turned out. Could not have been happier with Petite Sweets. 100% recommend.

The absolute best, cannot recommend enough! Our wedding cake is one of my favorite parts of the day. The dummy cake was such a beautiful centerpiece and the flavors of cake were unbelievable. We'll be getting all our desserts for future events from here!

Chef Denetia was very easy to work with for the dessert table for our wedding. Once we met her and tasted her DELICIOUS cupcakes, we knew we wanted to work with her. Even though she was the first person we met with for dessert options, we were so happy with her we canceled all of our other tastings. Her desserts were all amazing and she is just such a great person to have make your dream wedding come true. We have nothing but fantastic things to say about how she worked with our coordinator and decorator to make sure everything flowed together nicely. The dessert table was a masterpiece that tasted amazing. Please go with Petite Sweet Detroit if you’re even considering it!

Denetia was excellent! From the first meeting, she was really thorough in making sure she understood what we wanted. The cake was absolutely delicious and unique - with blackberry cheesecake filling :) She also coordinated with our florist and venue directly for drop off which was super helpful and picked up her cake stand the night of so we didn't have to worry about dropping it off! Overall, she really went above and beyond :) And, we got lots of complements about the cake!

Our dessert table was one of my absolute favorite parts of our wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL, and styled just as we had discussed in our meeting with Denetia. The amount of options offered, great flavor choices, amazing taste and presentation really makes Petite Sweets Detroit the total package. I could not recommend Denetia more, and only wish I would have snuck dessert early before everyone else got to it so I would have gotten more than just a macaron. Thank you so much!

My dessert table was beautiful and although i never tried any (they were gone quick!) my guest said everything was delicious. It was displayed so beautifully. Commutation could definitely be better, seems like my order got misplaced and I had to re do it 1 week prior, which caused lots of confusion and added stress. I also would say add more than you think because people like to sample one of everything !

Do yourself a favor and book Petite Sweets Detroit for your wedding! You will be blown away by, not only how delicious her desserts taste, but also how she presents them. We decided to do a dessert table filled with mini cupcakes, shooters, 2 donut walls and a one tier cake. Denetia made our dessert table dreams come to life. Denetia created the perfect wedding cake for us. Everyone loved the cake and could not stop raving about it. Would recommend to anyone.

We used Petite Sweets for our floral arrangements as we had decided to use another vendor for the cake. The flowers were lovely. Denisha will work with you -- she asks for your budget and for a few photos for ideas. Then she gets to work. We had the bride's bouquet, two mother corsages, a boutonniere for the groom and a head table centerpiece. Also cake flowers. All for about $400. I like it when you can tell the vendor upfront what your budget is and they work with it. Denisha is really sweet too and I hope to use her pastry chef services someday!

I used Petite Sweets Detroit for my wedding on Sunday, January 14, 2018. I highly recommend Chef Lyon's work to all brides. She was very professional, prompt, and a wealth of knowledge. We did a sweets table with a 3-tier naked cake and my guests RAVED about how delicious and beautiful all the desserts were. When we tried to schedule a tasting it was very hard due to my schedule. Chef Lyons brought the taste test to my house at 8:00pm. She stayed and answered all of my questions and was available my phone, text, and email whenever I needed her. I will be using Petite Sweets Detroit again in the future. Thank you for helping to make our day sweeter!
