Petronella Photography

BEWARE. My fiancé used Petronella for engagement photos through the Heartandbandits. We were contacted with a sales email after immediately trying to up sell for a “customization” package. The details were not explained and we declined as it was ridiculously expensive. I received a “teaser” of 2 photos a week later and one was in black & white. I didn’t say anything about the black & white as every photographer I’ve ever worked with gave me proofs prior to issuing all photos and would ask my preference. I assumed the photos would be sent in color and black and white since she did not ask. We were sent all of the photos 2 weeks later with a quarter of them in black and white. I contacted Petronella to receive the B&W photos in color and was told I needed to pay an additional $25 per photo to get a picture that was ALREADY TAKEN in color IN ADDITION TO the absurd fee my fiancé already paid. I even offered to “split the difference” and pay half of the $25 per photo with her as $25 per photo was outrageous and she insisted on the full amount. They play on people’s emotions as they’re once in a lifetime photos and hold them hostage at a hefty price. Would NOT recommend to anyone.

Petronella was a friend before she was a vendor. She is all around incredible. She is down to earth, creative, passionate, and very easy to work with. We absolutely loved our engagement session with her and are very much looking forward to seeing our wedding photos.
