Get yourself a Paul! Right from the beginning we found him to be very down to earth and willing to go above and beyond for our wedding and engagement photos. He's very response, organized and truly a pleasure to work with. As hectic as a wedding day can be, he put ourselves, our family and our friends at ease. The photos we received greatly exceeded our expectations (which were already very high). One moment in which confirmed we made the right choice in choosing him was when a thick fog rolled over our wedding. He used this to his advantage and captured some stunning photos which blew our minds. The days following the wedding, our guests were referring to him on a first name basis. He truly helped make our wedding extra special. His creativity with everything he does continuously leaves me speechless. In addition to photography, Paul also does custom woodworking designs ( album covers, cake toppers, chair signs, etc). He created some truly beautiful designs for us which we will cherish for years to come. In summary, Paul is pretty much a mythical creature brought into existence to make us all very happy. If your worries for good pictures can be represented as a bull, Paul is the matador - snapping photos with agility and grace in the arena of professional photography. NONE EQUAL HIM! Paul is absolutely fantastic to work with! He was reasonably priced and had the highest quality work. My husband and I walked away from our (included) engagement session immediately knowing me made the right choice in photographers! Both the engagement session and wedding day photos felt natural and low pressure during what is obviously a high stress time. He went above and beyond in all aspects for our big day making us feel like we were his number one priority even though he had dozens of other sessions going on during the summer months. Not only did my husband and I enjoy working with Paul, our entire family did as well— including my dad & father-in-law who usually despise pictures and my new sister-in-law who got engaged shortly after our big day and immediately knew she would use Paul for her photography needs. While Paul primarily photographs engagements and weddings at this time we hope to continue to use him as we move forward in life with pregnancy, kids, family portraits, etc because he is just that FANTASTIC.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! As anyone reading this has probably figured out, wedding planning is pretty stressful and a lot of small details are often forgotten. The one thing that I never thought about was how much time you spend with your photographer. I can’t even express how thankful I am that Paul was so fun and easy to be around. He seriously made the night! On top of the fact that we loved him, we have had several guests reach out to say how much they enjoyed having him around! Highly recommend hiring him!

I rarely give top stars on any ratings but PGL Photography honestly deserves the highest score possible. I had the 'opportunity' to pay for 2 (yes TWO) separate weddings in the same year - just months apart - needless to say I did a ton of research before I engaged any services we needed. Picking Paul to cover both of our events was, by far, the BEST decision made. He was attentive, forward thinking, confident, and his ability to 'carefully catch just that exact moment' was astounding. Paul did both my brother's and my wedding and I cannot say enough about how amazing he is. He became apart of our family and I was so sad to see our events end! He made our photos look like they came from a magazine, but also captured who we truly are. He does wood work as well, and brought some AMAZING gifts including ornaments, a hanger, and a sign for our house! He always made us feel like we were the most important couple ever and we are so grateful to have met him. He should seriously charge way more than he does for his services considering how much you get and what an awesome person provides the service!

Stop what you're doing, and book Paul to photograph your wedding. He is very responsive, he is reasonably priced, he is SO nice, he is accommodating, he actually CARES about brides, and most of all he takes awesome, beautiful pictures. My husband, who hates photographers and pictures, was blown away by him. Pix in a box is the best photobooth ever! Every person gets a print (immediately after taking the picture) and the bride/groom get a beautiful handmade photobook with all the prints in it and people can write you notes! It is a great keepsake. Plus you get all the pictures from the photobooth digitally. He was the only person, who was SO WELL PRICED, who printed out pictures for everyone, and gave you all the digital copies. He is also super talented and can make anything from wood. Paul took amazing pictures for my bridals and I can't wait to see the wedding photos. You won't be disappointed with Paul's photography and his Pix in a box. He is every bride's dream.

Picking an awesome photographer was one of our top priorities. If you're looking for a photographer look no further. Paul and his team are the best. We're so happy that we found Paul. He was one of if not the best choice that we made out of all our vendors. He is not only a great photographer but a great person. He went above and beyond expectations and his work is excellent. He also takes into account what you would like to do for your pictures. From the time of our engagement pictures to our wedding day, everything went smoothly and he was on top of everything from the beginning to the end. We also opted for the Pix in a Box which was great and our guests loved leaving a message in our photo book. He also gave us a personal gift to take home, which was so nice. Book Paul! You will not regret it! He was my wedding/bridal photographer and we used his photo booth at the wedding. From our first phone conversation, he stood out above others. I emailed him an inquiry about his services and he called me within two hours of the inquiry with a run down of his services. He’s super personable, so humble and a genuinely kind-hearted person. He made me and my wedding party super comfortable the entire day. My husband and I do not consider ourselves photogenic people but he gave us plenty of direction and our pictures came out AMAZING! He sent me my bridal pictures preview later that SAME DAY and the whole bridal session album in TWO DAYS. You get so much for his price! Some photographers want to keep the rights to the pictures they take but he gives you everything from the whole day. He also made our custom cake topper! There honestly isn’t anything bad I can say about him!

Paul is an artist! Every photo that came back to us was admired by our friends and family. As a hobbyist photographer myself, I can appreciate just how tricky some of these shots were to take. But it’s Paul - he can do anything. Add to that his sparkling personality made our engagement and wedding day shoots really easy to do (this is coming from a couple who has never done professional portraits before). One other understated element of his creative work is his woodworking. The custom signs and guest book really brought our rustic wedding to life. He has an etsy store for this. Check it out! You won’t regret it.

I don't even know where to begin. Choosing Paul/ PGL Photography to capture my bridals and wedding day was one of THE BEST decisions my husband and I made for our wedding. As a bride, I often got the advice to invest in a {G R E A T} photographer. I knew nothing about photography, but I did know that I wanted someone who was talented, reasonably priced, and someone who was going to make me feel very comfortable while capturing these precious moments. WIth Paul, we got all of this AND SO MUCH more. Paul is a very down to earth person, who is honest, respectful, and so much fun to be around. When we first met at my bridal shoot, it was only about five shots in before I felt so comfortable and relaxed. My mom, sisters, and I left with great feelings and high expectations for the photos, but when we got the bridals back, we were truly blown away. My bridals were exactly what I had been picturing in my head. For him to bring that to reality, I knew my wedding was in good hands. When it came to the wedding day, not only did he make my husband and I feel comfortable, but my guests couldn't stop raving about how awesome our photographer was! The groomsmen treated him like "one of the guys", my bridesmaids complimented him all night, and my family loved the way he interacted with them throughout the evening. He was always there, yet never in the way. On top of that, his photo booth is W O N D E R F U L! Guests were entertained all night with his props, backdrop, photo book, and awesome atendant. (and the pricing is some of the most reasonable out there!) When the night was over, I couldn't wait to receive the pictures. We got them back in a very short amount of time, and once again, I was amazed. He listened to every word I said. He captured all the little details, every special moment, and even some moments that I never knew happened! The quality of his photos are beautiful, and his sunset photos will bring you to happy tears. We are in love with the outcome. If you are looking for a photographer in Austin or surrounding areas, I highly recommend PGL. Paul was an excellent communicator throughout the entire wedding process. If I ever had a question, or Idea, I could shoot it to him via email, and would always get a response that same day. Its been a little over a month, and we still look at these photos daily. Every time, we are brought back to the most memorable day of our lives. Because of the great work from PGL photography we can relive this night for years to come. Booking a quality photographer was one of my biggest priorities when planning my wedding. After all, I knew that after the big day, photographs were going to be some of the few lasting memories from that day. I worked with so many amazing vendors, but I can honestly say without a doubt that Paul Lizama and PGL Photography was one of my favorites!! From the very beginning, Paul's love for his art and his pride in his work was apparent. He truly went above and beyond to deliver more than what was expected. Every photo session we had with him, from the engagement shoots to the Bridal portraits to the photos from our actual wedding and reception, all yielded beautifully composed photos and he was able to capture some of my favorite shots of my husband and I as a couple. We got to know him well throughout the entire process, and he was always accommodating and eager to work with us. We were pleasantly surprised when he delivered our photo album to us in a personalized one-of-a-kind quality keepsake wooden box that we proudly display and hope to pass on as a family heirloom. We constantly get tons of compliments on not only the box itself, but of course on the album and the moments he was able to capture. We can't thank Paul enough for being such a pleasure to work with!

We were so happy with Paul as our wedding photographer! He was so natural and easy to work with. He made our engagement and bridal photo session a breeze and the photos turned out beautiful! We cannot wait to see the wedding photos. Based on some that he showed to us the day of, we are so excited to see all of them!!! He made sure to familiarize himself with everyone important that we wanted in pictures and was always there to capture important moments throughout the night. He really knows what he is doing and his pictures are magical. The "pics in a box" photo booth was a HUGE hit, and we have a unique photo album with all the pictures of our guests that we will treasure forever. Everything you've read in the reviews about Paul in the 5 star reviews is 100% spot on. This guy is an amazing photographer and great guy. Honestly, I did not want to spend a few thousand dollars on a professional photographer for the wedding but the wife thought it best. I'll be the first to admit how wrong I was having seen the results of the engagement and wedding photos. Paul was fantastic to work with throughout the process. In speaking him, you come to realize that he is not just a photographer but an artist. His ability to capture candid shots was one of the main reasons we went with PGL. Although we are located in different cities, Paul made every effort to ensure that distance would be no issue. Paul and his second shooter Sherman were all over the place during the wedding. Looking at some of the photos, you'd think there were more than 2 photographers with all of the angles they covered! We also elected to get Pix in a Box, the photo booth. This was one of the highlights of the wedding. Our guests raved about how much fun it added to the overall experience, and it left each guests with a little souvenir. The turn around time for the online pictures was very quick. I had something substantial to share with the family within a couple of weeks. The final product which was a USB with all of our pictures came in about 3 months which I hear from others is a very good turnaround. Overall, our experience was extremely positive, and I would/have recommended Paul to anyone who asks me about a photographer.

There really are no words to describe how awesome Paul is. He is very down to earth, and is always looking to improve upon his already stunning photography. He did our engagements and wedding, and all of the shots were amazing. His direction is straight forward and easy to follow making the photos well composed. He experimented with night lighting at our wedding and captured some really cool pictures. Both my parents and my in-laws (both hard to please) commented on how professional and courteous Paul is (I couldn't agree more.) He is very respectful and considers what photos family members might want as well. On our wedding day, it seemed like he was everywhere to capture the important moments, but was never in the way. The team he brings with him is great too. The photo booth was a blast and all our guests really enjoyed it, and they got to write messages in the provided photo album. Paul's work is timely, and we had our preview shots within 48 hours of our wedding, and our engagement photos were processed in about 1 week. I would recommend him to anyone. If you are going to spend your money on a photographer, you want to get a good one. Paul is your guy.

There are seriously not enough nice things to say about Paul. The best thing I can say though, is if you're looking for a photographer, Paul is your guy. Our wedding pictures are absolutely amazing and I couldn't be any happier with them. And not only is he an phenomenal photographer he is also a seriously fun guy! The day was perfect and the pictures are even more perfect thanks to Paul :)

Paul is absolutely amazing!! He is easy-going (but can direct a group photo very effectively), organized, extremely responsive, and most importantly - an incredibly skilled photographer. He's very humble but his work speaks for itself. Our wedding was several weeks ago and I've lost track of the number of people who have mentioned how wonderful he was, how much they love the pictures, etc etc. He did such a great job of molding his shooting plan around the venues, different personalities, and the weather. Also, Pix in a Box was such a hit at the reception and we have loved looking back through all of the photos! I cannot say enough good things about this guy - would highly highly recommend!!

I don't think I can explain exactly how perfect my experience with Paul and pglphotography has been! Not only is Paul a pleasure to work with because of his enthusiasm, creativity and professionalism, but his work is absolutely breath taking! He made me, my husband and family feel so comfortable throughout the entire day (as well as during my bridal portrait session) it felt like Paul was an old family friend. We could not be happier with the moments he was able to capture. Every photo looks like it should be in a magazine! We also used pglphotography for our photo booth (pix-in-a-box) and that went off without a hitch! Our guests loved the photos/props and he got them to us only one week after the wedding! His entire service was hands down incredible quality and quantity for the very reasonable price he charged. On top of everything, Paul got married just THREE WEEKS before my wedding, during which he maintained excellent communication before and after. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone getting married! We are still on cloud nine from our wedding and his gorgeous photos let us continue to remember that day just as it was, perfect!

Photography was one of the most important parts of the wedding for me personally. I randomly stumbled on PGL's website and when I saw the images from other weddings I knew that Paul would capture the night exactly how we envisioned. Paul was a pleasure to work with through the whole process from contracting to day of. I never had to tell him the shots I wanted, it was like he could just read my mind. His photobooth, pix in a box, was great and our guests really enjoyed themselves with it. I would recommend PGLphotography to anyone and everyone I know.

Paul is a real student of photography and really obsesses on framing the perfect moment with his camera. One thing that stood out to me is Paul's indoor photography. Flash photography is very hard to pull off in the chaos of a wedding, but Paul has a good mind for how to execute it. Paul does a good job of knocking out the essential photos every wedding will have while also being able to capture the spontaneous moments that make each wedding unique. Paul brings professionalism and friendly attitude translates into great pictures. He cares as much about how your pictures will turn out as you do

Great photos, very creative.

Paul was exactly what we wanted from a wedding photographer! He met with us a couple of times before the wedding, but was not pushy at all and was on the same page with us from the start. Our wedding day was one of those extremely rare Austin days where is pours rain all day and the sun doesn't come out at all. Paul absolutely made the best of a less-than-ideal situation, and there is no evidence of bad weather in our pictures. When looking for wedding photographers, it was difficult for us to differentiate between vendors, but Paul stood out due to his amazing action shots from the receptions. He did not disappoint, and we cherish the shots he got that we otherwise would never have seen. The standard ceremony and "getting ready" shots were great as well, but the reception shots were really where he separates himself. We were also operating on a tight budget, and Paul was very accommodating. Honestly he should be charging more! Thanks Paul for making our wedding day even more special than it already was!

My husband and I met Paul at an open house at a local venue. Even though we decided not to use the venue, we knew we wanted Paul's Pix in a Box photo booth at our reception. Paul was friendly and energetic and the box was so much nicer than other photo booths we'd seen. The box was really a highlight for many of our guests. The open air design felt modern and comfortable. We were able to squeeze as many as 7 people in one photo. The props were sturdy and fun and the attendant kept the energy up all night long. I love that each guest got to take a copy of the photo strip and that a scrap book was assembled for us as the photos were printed. Our guests could even leave little notes in the book next to their photos. This photo booth is definitely worth the cost. Great value!

We did our engagements with Paul. We had so much fun and were so excited to see the outcome. The pictures were beautiful!!

Wow... what can I say? My fiance and I first met with Paul when we get engaged. We fell in love with his pictures online, and instantly liked him once we met him. He has a very calming presence- which definitely helped the day of our wedding! Over the next year and a half we had a few sessions with Paul. He is constantly working on his craft and is never satisfied by doing the same shots over and over again. Every time we met with him we got something new, a new technique he was trying. But the essence of his pictures remains. At both our engagement shoots and our wedding he captured every moment we wanted and more. We left most artistic decisions up to him and we were not disappointed. He has a great eye and really knows how to make sure he gets every moment captured. We just got some of our wedding pictures back and I kid you not- we have had SO many people tell us that our pictures belong in magazines. And to think I was so upset that we had some rain/snow on our wedding day... we got the most amazing picture out of it! I should also mention that he is really fun to work with- he made all of our bridal party feel so comfortable and it really shows in the pictures. NONE of our pictures feels forced, rehearsed or like typical boring wedding photos. Paul is simply the best, and I would recommend him to anyone for any event. He was a huge part in making our day so special, and we are forever grateful to him for capturing our big day so perfectly! Thanks Paul!

Paul is so awesome. We met Paul while he was photographing a friend's wedding and liked his style right away. After meeting him for a brief review of his services, we knew that we wanted to hire him. He not only amazed us on our special day, but our friends and family are still commenting on how great he was. He was personable with everyone, willing to take whatever shots we wanted, and he maintained a high level of professional through out. I will recommend him to anyone that I meet that is getting married. Oh-and his photo-box is the BEST...he even makes his own props!!

Paul was amazing! We had some hiccups with the engagement session timing and he went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. The photos were beautiful, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The photo booth, "pics in a box", was an absolute hit with our guests! Picking a photographer is a nerve-wracking thing. It is the one thing that really lasts, so you want to make sure it is right. Paul was very easy going and I felt very comfortable with him. He listens to what you as a client are hoping for in a photographer. My favorite part? I barely noticed him the day of the wedding (which I think is a very good thing). And he knew that is what I needed. I've never been very comfortable around cameras and I hate when I go to weddings and all you notice is the photographer. Paul and his crew captured amazing moments in a subtle way. I'm very satisfied with my choice; his work is beautiful!

Pix in a Box was so entertaining for ALL of our guest! Not only was the booth awesome, so was Paul! He was so personable with us and all of our guest!! We met Paul at an open house and when he showed us his booth we knew we had to have it! I perfer Pix in a Box compared to other Photo Booths because you are not inclosed in a tight space. It is open so you can try and fit more people in. :) Overall I would highly recommend Pix in a Box to anyone using a photobooth at their wedding!

I found Paul in aGoogle and was actually puzzled as to why there would be an Austin/Amarillo wedding photographer. I figured it wouldn't hurt to call, so I did and Paul was amazing. He was excellent in explaining his process, scheduling, cost, and what we would get. Not once was Paul hesitant to answer our questions or take suggestions we may have. We also had our engagement and wedding photos in a very timely manner. And let me add, that Paul is great at dealing with chaos. The day before the wedding my mom broke her ankle, and she was not able to move around a lot to give instructions to vendors or for pictures. Paul was not only very sympathetic, but he did everything he could to take pictures of her quickly and get her where her injury wasn't showing (except for the picture I specifically requested) so she could sit back down. He was incredibly personable with not only is, but each of our guests and took the time to know each of our attendants names. He just had a great time with us while still remaining incredibly professional. We wouldn't have wanted anybody else!

Paul with pgl photography did an amazing job for us. We were beyond happy with the quality and service we received. The images were phenomenal!!! He went the extra mile to give us the moments that will always make us smile. He creates a laid back environment all while being patient, professional, and personable. Paul is an amazing and very talented photographer. We met him through our venue, Vista West Ranch, and originally hired him for his super fun and innovative photo booth! Very much to our surprise, Paul also ended up bringing his camera and capturing some AMAZING priceless moments at our wedding. We absolutely loved working with him.
