Phantom Lake Ranch

I was absolutely thrilled with the views, the land, the venue, the lodgings - EVERYTHING! The hosts are very quick to respond and attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding.

Phantom Lake Ranch was the Perfect venue for our DIY intimate mountain wedding. It was spacious and affordable, which is challenging when you have an 150 person guest list and want to get married in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Most weddings in the mountains are crowded with people on public property. This venue was entirely private. From the moment you arrive to the property, you are enchanted by the dense trees and wildflowers surrounding you. Within minutes you are completely secluded from people, city lights, and are on 600 acres of rustic land. Our guests traveled approximately 5 minutes where they parked at an open valley surrounded by ponderosa pines and lush forest. Our sail-cloth tent was located in the middle of this grassland and was lined with lights as it faced toward the mountains. From there, our guests walked up a road for 5 minutes to our lakeside ceremony with wooden log benches and encapsulating aspen trees slanted on a hill. It felt like a whimsical forrest and I was a princess as I walked down the aisle wearing my flower crown and off- the shoulder flutter sleeve dress. We liked this venue the best because of the ability to create our own wedding without having to use a preferred vendor list, hidden costs, and set times. This allowed us to save money, hire our family friend's services, and freely accommodate our schedule. This was very helpful when mother nature decided to shortly hail during our outdoor ceremony. We had the freedom to enjoy our time with our guests and not filled rush to be cleaned up and out of the reception area. Further, Maddie, the wedding coordinator and owner, was wonderful to work with. She assisted us on all of our wedding day activities. She made sure we stayed on-time for the reception events and even helped us problem solve to find the best linens, DJ's, rental equipment, and wedding shoes. This made the planning process seamless and we are very grateful that we had her and be apart of our big day! Also, Phantom Lake Ranch had very luxurious cabins located on the property, where our wedding party and family stayed. This made it easy to have everyone together when getting ready. We were able to enjoy the morning without travel time. This created a memorable experience of being in the mountains and sharing our love with our favorite people.
