We cannot say enough wonderful things about Pheasant Cove at Brookside! From the very beginning, Hughlenna and Shane were amazing to work with. Their communication, professionalism, and kindness throughout the entire planning process made everything so much easier and less stressful. We unexpectedly had to move our wedding up by five months, and they went above and beyond to help us make it happen. They were so understanding, flexible, and supportive during what could have been a very overwhelming situation. Hughlenna and Shane truly work so hard to make sure couples have the best day possible, and it shows in every detail. They made us feel cared for, heard, and supported every step of the way. We are so thankful for everything they did to help bring our wedding day together. Pheasant Cove is a beautiful venue, but the people behind it are what make it truly special. We highly recommend them to any couple looking for a venue with heart, professionalism, and incredible service!

When you enter the gate, you see the amazing Kelly creek aligned with Weeping Willows, Bradford Pears, and towering white Sycamore trees. Natural Beauty at every turn. Some say it could be used in scenes from Bridgerton. We have multiple outdoor sites, including most brides’ favorite, the creekside Croquet court, a stunning indoor BallRoom with a separate reception area, a Bridal suite, and the best groom’s room around. “Including pool and spa.” So, in your search for your perfect venue and Wedding of your Dreams, we would love to have the opportunity to be a part of your Perfect Day. Hughlena grew up in southside, Al before moving to Talladega in 2016. Her famous words is her love started with that Barby Dream house. She loves decorating and making things pretty and serving others. Hughlena has been one of Alabama’s top Medicare insurance specialist for 18 years and serves on several community boards. But her True Love is making things Beautiful and Decorating. Hughlena also helps manage day to day operations.

Manager, Service and hospitality
Shane is HughLena’s Husband. He has a long career in service and hospitality. He’s also a former World Champion Drag Racer. But his love is talking and getting to know everyone. He is your direct link to most operations of the venue. If anyone needs anything he’s always close

Pheasant Cove has numerous spaces for wedding celebrations, and a rehearsal dinner with both outdoor and indoor options where we will be able to hold all our proceedings on these beautiful premises. he creek that meanders through the property is a perfect backdrop for ceremony and pictures. Beyond the scenery, the owners, Shane and Hugh Lena Kay are great to work with ensuring all the details of our daughters wedding will be handled. The bridal suite and grooms house was the cherry on the top! But honestly, the main reason we booked this venue is the indoor ceremony space with connecting reception space where the guest do not have to wait for the place to be flipped. A two sided fireplace for a winter wedding was also a great touch. We cannot recommend this place enough!
