We got married at Philadelphia Distilling on 02.27.26. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the incredible staff that work there. Our love for the venue started lon...g ago when we went to a holiday party here in 2018 and our minds were blown over their gin-based Old Fashioned. When it came time to planning our wedding, we always knew we wanted to have it in a “non-traditional” venue. Philadelphia Distilling checked all of our boxes in every way and then some.
Their event coordinator, Nicole, is an absolute dream to work with — she helped us plan every detail, answered every single email and question with care and without skipping a beat. On the day of, she moved effortlessly behind the scenes and checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, knew the order of events, and that we ate throughout the night. Everything from our cocktail tasting and planning meeting to the rehearsal to the day of went so smoothly and we are eternally grateful for her. Jesse, the head of bar staff, is so knowledgeable when it comes to cocktail making and his passion is palpable from talking to him giving a whole new meaning and appreciation to the craft. The entire bar staff also looked like they were having a blast with making our cocktails which in turn made grabbing a drink at the bar so much fun. We had guests coming up to us all night complimenting us on the cocktails and the food: especially the grougères, cheesesteak egg rolls, honey glazed carrots, and short rib.
Then there was the space itself. The space is absolutely gorgeous with its exposed brick, high ceilings and large windows, bar looking out into the copper stills, the list goes on and on. We also loved having our ceremony on the 4th floor and being able to easily go back downstairs for the reception. Both spaces are highly configurable and the ceremony space especially during sunset was so dreamy. We had about 100 people at our wedding and the venue was the *perfect* amount of space. I had been nervous about it feeling a bit tight at first, but it couldn’t have been a better sized space for our crowd. Between the lounge area, the main tasting room, and the patio which was totally enclosed and winterized for our February wedding, the flow was seamless and it was nice to have different rooms for guests to hang out. We were also able to have corn hole (which the venue provided) out on the patio which was nice to have for some people that may not like to dance all night. We loved having a fully cocktail style reception with a “seat yourself” type of vibe and our guests really leaned into it.
Next, our partner vendors: Philadelphia Distilling has a wonderful list of recommended vendors from which we selected our florist (South Stems), DJ (The Other Wedding DJ), and our hotel block stay (Kimpton Hotel Monaco). Having on-site vendors that had worked there before and knew the space and flow of events made things so seamless. We were able to ask our florist and DJ specific questions about the way they work and their experience with this specific space.
We are so incredibly impressed with how the entire wedding planning process went as well as the day of and cannot wait to go back and visit after we’ve had some time to bask in the afterglow of our day and how perfect it was. We truly can’t imagine having had it anywhere else but this place and would recommend this venue over and over again to anyone with a similar vision. (Photos: EverAfterReels)
