The two hair stylists showed up 30min late the morning of. All my bridesmaids hair got done first which was okay, but then I was still having my hair and makeup done 20min before the ceremony was supposed to start (which was 10min away!). One hair stylist spent about two hrs on an intricate braid for a bridesmaid who didn't even ask for that particular hair style. The other stylist then had to pick up the slack and do everyone else in the bridal part. This made the head stylist cranky which led to a weird overall vibe from both of them. Not the vibes you want the morning of your wedding! I asked for a very loose, romantic low bun (pretty simple right?), which ended up being very tight. She was able to fix it by pulling the hair a bit to loosen it up but it still didn't resemble the pictures I showed her. She kept blaming it on my hair type and hair comb/veil. I asked for very natural makeup and was shocked when I saw how much lipstick and liner was caked on. I was able to fix it by wiping off the lips and adding some blush to lighten it up but also not like the pictures I showed her. Some bridesmaids also had issues with having completely different (aka. Easier, but not cheaper) hair styles than they asked for. They also blew out a few people's hair before styling but never specified that this cost extra until it was time for the final bill. In the end, we all ended up looking good, but it was frustrating because the services were expensive for not getting the result or experience we were expecting. In hindsight I would have done my own hair and makeup and would have been happier with the result with more money in my pocket and much MUCH less stress the day of. Of note: I was planning my wedding long distance and never did a trial, so I don't know if that's the reason behind my poor experience.
