Philip is an amazing photographer! I loved his online portfolio and hired him for our wedding. The photos turned out beautifully. He answered all the questions we had, was responsive, and was very thorough. His online process for purchasing / viewing photos was very easy, and the delivery was excellent. He went above and beyond by giving us two additional photographers so he could capture more photos and even gave us a free hour. We basically hired him a full day, in three different locations. My in-laws could not stop talking about how gorgeous the photos were. Beautiful editing. And he caught every meaningful moment - even ones that weren't expected. Great guy - so easy get to along with. Fantastic photographer.

I cannot recommend Philip enough! My husband and I are not people who love taking pictures and Philip made us instantly feel comfortable! My first word is “Wow!” Philip photographed my son and new daughter for their wedding at the end of December in Texas. The wedding was conducted on the courthouse steps with immediate family present. The wedding celebration took place at an indoor/outdoor space under spreading oak trees with a beautiful sun peaking through, leading to a star filled night. Philip was everywhere. He met us at the courthouse and seemed to be there before us at the celebration venue. His style of photography perfectly matched our vision of documenting the event without overtaking the event. He seamlessly captured images of pure joy and love without us even knowing he was there. His instinct seemed to lead him to just the right spot where a special embrace, glance, or serious dance move was happening. The wedding took place at 2:00 pm and the celebration closed down around midnight. Philip was there graciously taking every precious picture, even up to the get away car, that now allows all attending to remember and re-celebrate the occasion. His pictures are pure artistry. He did take the standard photographs of our family as we requested But these photographs were not “standard.” They were finely captured portraits. And because he so quietly documented the wedding, the portraits are fresh and alive. You can see the affection and the energy in the eyes of the ones in the picture. After about six weeks, the files arrived and now I get to try and sort through to determine which ones go in the wedding album. That will take some time because so many are perfection. I could not be happier with Philip’s capture of my son and daughter in law’s wedding.

Philip Thomas was hands down the best photographer we could have asked for to capture our special day. Looking at his portfolio ahead of hiring him, it was clear that his talent is heads and tails above every other photographer we considered, and his work on our wedding day was better than we could have imagined. Philip has an incredibly deft eye, and works in such a way that we forgot that he was even there. Not to mention, he is just incredibly kind, and was both a joy in communicating with ahead of time as well as to have around during such a special moment in our lives. We couldn't recommend Philip enough.

From the get-go Philip was professional, organizing online calls to get to know each other and discuss the day. When it came to the wedding, he not only captured the day beautifully, but he also made the whole experience enjoyable. His photojournalistic style was perfect for us as it allowed us to engage with each other and our guests naturally, especially since we were not the most comfortable in front of a camera. When we did the first look and other more styled shots, his direction was helpful and his demeanor light-hearted allowing us to be ourselves and enjoy our special day. On top of the experience, the photos were stunning! We are over the moon about the finished product and highly recommend Philip for any event.

Let me preface this by saying: I hate posing for photos. Philip deftly took this into account and made getting all the required shots as painless as possible. He also sneakily managed to get countless shots I never would have thought of on my own! On top of that, he was just as good a party guest as he was a photographer. So funny and just overall nice to be around. And his photos were of course gorgeous. I cannot recommend his services enough.

Hiring Philip was, by far, the best decision we made for our wedding. My husband and I had a tight budget and Philip went above and beyond to create a custom package that could meet our needs. Halfway through the planning process, when it became clear we would like Philip to stay longer to capture the whole day, he graciously offered to come in earlier and stay later as well. This was a huge blessing to us and we are forever grateful for this gift. As to his professionalism, Philip was the most professional and seasoned member of our vendor team. He (and his wonderful second shooter) was everywhere, and nowhere, snapping candid moments that I could have sworn I did not see him capture. I am not the best “poser,” but he helped me look like a supermodel in my bridal photos. All you have to do as a client is trust and take his advice – ignore him, and he will take care of the rest. Also, the speed with which he moved through family photos was well-appreciated, and his ability to find the perfect shooting locations on the fly showed how much of an artist he was. He was clear in his client communications and contracts, and he was okay with me changing around picture requests in the week before the wedding. He even helped my little brother with his tie! I really cannot say enough about Philip, but I guess I have to stop somewhere. He truly has a gift and the pictures he captured for us are priceless. Thank you, Philip!

Phillip was everything you want in a photographer! His portfolio caught our attention for its unique compositions; Phillip describes it as a journalistic approach. Philip is a Texas treasure provided to us from across the pond. He came highly recommended from our wedding coordinator and the proof was not only the amazing final photos, but also in his intoxicating personality. A wedding in two parts, separated by a year, and bridged together by a photographer. We split the wedding into two parts due to the pandemic. Because of this most people were unable to attend the first part. Mr. Thomas is an extremely patient,kind person and a very talented photographer. We agonized over wedding photography since neither of us really enjoy having our pictures taken and dislike the 'stilted' feeling of most wedding photoshoots, until we found the portfolio on his website. Candid photography that felt more genuine, and looked amazing to boot. Mr. Thomas let us change around some of the things in the photography package we ordered to suit our needs better. More specifically, we swapped having a separate bridal portrait session for an engagement photo session instead. However, on the day of the wedding, he was generous enough to take a few pictures of me in my dress, to serve as bridal portraits. The photos from both the engagement session and our wedding ceremony and reception turned out wonderfully, and the candid shots let us re-live those wonderful memories all over again.

Philip will meet and exceed every expectation you could possibly have in communication, professionalism, quality of product, and being a genuinely caring wedding expert along for the ride on your day. The only question you have to ask yourself when considering hiring him, is if you enjoy his style and feel it fits your vision. I personally can't imagine someone not liking his photojournalistic approach, but I know there are a lot of different folks out there. He's unimposing. He's thoughtful and honest about what kind of coverage you will need. His work could very easily be featured in all of the biggest name wedding publications, and I say that with confidence. There are many photographers who charge much more than he does, that provide a lesser product. He is the kind of vendor with whom you can sign the contract, and not worry about a single thing. When things on your day don't go exactly as planned, he knows just how to pivot. I personally paid for my wedding, and every cost was very carefully budgeted. The value of a dollar is not lost on me. His work is truly, genuinely, priceless. I would not hesitate to hire him over and over again (though I'm hoping I don't get married again and require his services). An average photographer can capture all of the big moments, but there's a special kind of magic in having dozens of candid, precious moments from your day that you didn't have the pleasure of seeing, immortalized. Hire him, and enjoy your day, he will do the rest.

Like with so many others, the pandemic created a lot of uncertainty around our wedding. In late summer we decided to postpone our large celebration until next year and hold an intimate family ceremony on our original date. Since our wedding was originally going to take place out of state, we had to find all new vendors for our ceremony this year. We had a very small family ceremony and reception and wanted to make sure that we had a photographer that would make us feel comfortable and relaxed while capturing all of the important moments in a more documentary style. Philip is seriously amazing - neither my husband nor I are great at getting our picture taken, and he was so easy to work with that we were both able to relax for the necessary posed shots, not to mention the incredible candids. We're so happy we were able to work with Philip. He’s personable and fun, but can also melt into the background to do his thing – which is exactly what we wanted. We love his documentary / candid style – our wedding pictures came out wonderfully! We met him in person for the first time at our rehearsal dinner (we’re from Chicago and planned a ‘destination’ wedding in Austin), but he made us feel comfortable almost instantly! My family has been going on and on about how impressed they were with Philip’s work ethic and ability. They loved that he faded so seamlessly into the background, and in my brothers words, he was “not too demanding!” which he really appreciated as he liked just being able to have fun without thinking about posing for pictures the whole time. And my mom said that going through all pictures makes you feel like you’re there, so it’s easy to re-live the day. We love that you also got so many pictures of the house and the setup as well. Sure enough, our engagement photos AND wedding photos were amazing. He’s not your average wedding photographer, Philip has an eye for art and his style is more editorial than anything. He captured every moment from our big day, big and small, the best way possible. His second shooter also did a fantastic job so rest assured if you have a large wedding, he’ll bring the best team possible! We love you Philip and can’t thank you enough for these memories that will make us smile for a lifetime!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Philip for our wedding this past November. Going into wedding planning, we knew that hiring an amazing photographer was a priority for us, as we will have these pictures forever and we can appreciate and understand the extreme talent it takes to do this, and do it well. Philip exceeded that expectation. We wanted photos that capture that raw and emotional moment, the unplanned click, that provides a photo that shows a memory; and what wonderful memories Philip has given us! He has such a unique eye, can find the shadows and light, and create a wonderful composition that makes our photos so special and unlike anyone else's. We will cherish them forever!

My (now) husband and I have had the priveledge of working with Philip for about a year and a half. Out of the wedding planning process, choosing Philip and his team was the one of our best decisions. We loved working with him! He had a way of making my husband and I feel at home when taking photos. He would joke with us and make the sessions, especially Engagement photos, feel less awkward. His work is simply breathtaking. We have loved every photo from our Engagement, my bridal portraits and our Rehearsal/Wedding photos were all amazing. You would not be disappointed in your pictures. We loved the fact that he not only did your typical staged photos, but he also had a lot of natural, not staged, photos to chose from. Philip was our ideal photographer - he was unobtrusive, but everywhere, and took the most gorgeous photographs. On the day of our wedding, we barely noticed him (which is what we wanted in a photographer). Then when we received the photos, we found that he had gorgeously captured some of the most touching moments from the whole day, including my now-husband dropping off some water while trying not to look at the ladies getting ready; the arrival of our flower girl who had been in the hospital just that morning; and so many other moments we're so happy we're going to be able to look back on for the rest of our lives. We're so so so glad we picked Philip!

Philip is an amazing photographer! Not only did he deliver beautiful photos, he put myself and my husband at ease during our rehearsal and wedding. He was very accommodating to schedule bridal portraits as we were both coming from out of town. For my husband who doesn't like having his picture taken, Philip 'blended in' with the crowd which helped my husband be more relaxed and look great in photos. I would highly recommend Philip as your wedding photographer!!!

Wow!! Philip was amazing! I’m so happy we went with him to capture our special day. He was very professional and always got back to us quickly if we had a question. He did our engagement session and my wife’s bridal shoot also. He made sure even with the close timeframe to have a bridal photo at the wedding. The photo albums turned out amazing. He might not be the cheapest, but he is worth every penny.
