He was so detailed, which helped by guide the timing of my entire wedding. He was even thinking of things I wasn’t. I haven’t been to many weddings, so he recommended songs, music transitions, even customized music for the toasts. It helped me so much, that I felt very confident going into my wedding day. The music he curated with us was perfect, and he was able to get people to dance and out to the dance floor during those moments it got a bit light. He listened to my guests and heard them talking about Madonna, so he played one of her songs. Adam’s really attentive to the guests and requests as well. He’s got a great personality and very easy to work with. He even took some photos and sent them to us. We had our wedding playlist the next day so we could listen and relive it again. He is a great choice, and I highly recommend him and will definitely hire again for any future events.

Now, getting to the reception itself, I couldn't have had a better time. Adam primarily used the playlist we shared with him in planning, and was able to add a few of his own gems that fit the vibe. He even seamlessly fit a song in that I accidentally added to the playlist! In addition to keeping the tunes going and maintaining a fun atmosphere, Adam was also took the time to ease my nerves when he noticed I was starting to stress a little in the beginning. As the night went on, Adam, Alex, and Jack ensured the good time kept on going, and joined us on the dancefloor from time to time. Via phone calls or Zooms he asks questions about everything from musical likes and dislikes, to ceremony/cocktail hour/reception vibe, to sound cues so everything goes off without a hitch. He has good advice when needed but also is happy to go forward with whatever vision you see for your day. All of your information and preferences are kept on a google doc sheet which you can update as well as your convenience so nothing is ever forgotten or overlooked Like I said, he really really cares. Adding in COVID could throw anyone off their game, but Adam was ready, willing and able to meet the challenge. He purchased extra wireless mics so every individual speaker during our day could have their own mic, with their own personal boom cover and personal equipment safe sanitizer to keep everyone as safe as possible. The day of our wedding is where Adam really shined. He set up his sound system for our rain contingency ceremony (we had a lot of bad luck leading up to this wedding) and when the sun shined an hour before the start, Adam moved like lightning to get his equipment outside/getting sound check completed/welcoming guests and we never skipped a beat. He mixed an incredible set for our cocktail hour that we still listen to every time we are boozin around our house. As for the reception, I think Adam had as much fun as we did dancing to the music and taking requests from our masked up guests who weren't going to let this pandemic stop them from having a safe, socially responsible blast on the dance floor. Above all, we had several older relatives who were unsafe to travel during the pandemic and Adam independently created a Youtube stream specific to our wedding complete with a crystal clear audio and video setup. I was highly directive about which songs I wanted to play at the wedding (by "highly directive," I mean that I created multiple playlists to cover every second of the event). Adam was respectful and validating of my choices. He knew how to keep the crowd going by masterfully selecting which songs from my playlists to play when and for how long. As for Jack, most people don't have even a fraction of the energy he has; he really hyped the crowd and got everyone moving. Truly, Jack didn't seem like he was doing a job; he looked like he was feeling the tunes and living his best life. The guests responded in kind. The day after the wedding, several guests commented to me how SHOCKED they were that one guest in particular, who is known as a bit of a wallflower, was out on the dance floor all night. If that isn't the strongest testament to how awesome the Philly Custom DJ team is, I don't know what is. The musical entertainment is not an aspect of a party that one should take a gamble on and risk being mediocre, so I'm very grateful I chose Philly Custom DJ. I trusted them 100% and they did not disappoint. I would, without hesitation, work with Philly Custom DJ again in a heartbeat.

iginally, we were going to skip a photo booth, but his costs were so reasonable that we got one as well - it was the HIGHLIGHT of the night and we're so happy we went with it. Beyond that, Adam was our go-to man during the process. We had several chats with him where he helped us pick music, create the processional, recessional, and order of events, he helped us write and finalize our ceremony, and he designed custom photo booth strips for us. During the event - he was a great MC, was able to keep the party going, and took lots of videos and photos that he later shared with us. Another fun bonus is that we got digital copies of all of the photo booth pictures as well! You cannot go wrong using Adam and Philly custom DJ.

I hired Adam for a venue he had never worked at previously, but you would have never known. The day of the wedding, the set up was flawless , the sound system was perfect, and his set up and breakdown was effortless. I think other DJs might have told us that we had to stick with Top-40 songs (of which we played plenty), but Adam really saw eye-to-eye with us and helped make our dreams come true. We used Adam's services for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner music, and dance floor music. In addition to the music being spot on, he provided microphones for the outdoor ceremony, and everything came through crystal clear, which is not always the case at weddings. This meant a lot to us because we wrote our own vows, and our guests ended up really loving the content of the ceremony. Adam took so much time to get to know us that he truly knew our wishes for our wedding day and was able to help make sure the evening went as planned. The dance floor was an absolute blast, in part because he brought a sidekick hype-man (Jack) who danced like a maniac in the DJ booth the entire time and kept the energy level way UP. My friends all loved him. In general, everything wedding-related seems overpriced, but Adam's services are, if anything, underpriced. We honestly couldn't believe how much he brought to the table for such a modest price. I'm amazed that he can put so much energy and enthusiasm into crafting a perfect wedding-music experience for so many different couples - he must really love what he does. We miss him already but are just hoping we have occasion to cross paths with him again someday!

We played some songs we liked and were able to view several photo strip designs to give him an idea of what we were looking for. He took our ideas and mixed them with his own. Everything - from the cocktail hour playlist, the photo booth and photo strip designs, and our personalized last hour playlist - turned out better than I could have ever imagined. He took away a lot of stress in our planning and was extremely organized with the spreadsheet he uses to go over all the details we never would have even thought of without him! He also uses Spotify which made our lives so much easier - over the course of a few weeks we added songs we wanted played at our wedding to a playlist and Adam incorporated them perfectly and made everything flow together. We are both into EDM music and had a lot of glow sticks and dance music and Adam was always finding ways to help us out... he got us AWESOME dance floor lighting and helped us hand out glow sticks when the dance floor was packed. We had told Adam that we wanted the last hour of our wedding playlist to be made completely by us with no requests and he gave us exactly what we wanted. The whole night was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted and Adam played a HUGE part in making sure of that. We couldn’t be happier that we chose him as our wedding DJ!!

And the props for the photobooth were the best we've ever seen at any event! People kept going back to take photos with new props. We are so grateful to have found Adam. He captured exactly the mood we wanted and helped us think through all of our decisions. I had a very specific idea for music before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for cocktail hour. Adam did a great job taking all my songs and putting them in the perfect order with the smoothest transitions. I listen to the cocktail hour playlist he shared with us all the time because the flow of the songs is truly beautiful! For the reception, we weren't as picky, but Adam took all our requests for the songs we definitely wanted, and all the songs we definitely didn't want and made the reception truly one for the books. He even honored our crazy request for Die Antwoord, I Fink U Freeky (a real crowd pleaser for my husband's group of friends)! Over all the day tuned out perfect and Adam's work creating the soundtrack for the day played a large part in how perfect it truly was. Thank you again Adam!

Adam kept the wedding party laughing before our announcements to the dance floor and was responsive to any questions I had (like should we have a code gesture in case my father-daughter dance gets painfully long since both my dad and I can't dance??). During dinner, they played an awesome selection of "deep tracks"—some of our favorite songs you can't really dance to, but are nice to hear. But as soon as dinner was over, people were ready for the dance floor and they were on it for hours! Seeing how happy everyone was and how much fun they were having was the highlight of my night, and Philly Custom DJ made it happen (thanks Adam and Sam!). I could go on and on about how happy we are with our experience with PCDJ, but you get the point. If you're considering them, I say go for it. You'll be so happy you did.

If you're looking for a DJ who isn't afraid to stray from the typical YMCA and such weddings, you've found your man. Also, I highly recommend his custom photo booth. Very worth the small extra amount for this amazing addition! I would get married again just to have my wedding DJ'd by Adam a second time.

He read the crowd perfectly, kept the entertainment flowing, and even plucked surprising but fitting songs to play for some of the unexpected moments during the afternoon. We had bunches of people coming up to us later telling us how much fun the event was, especially the music. Please note, I had originally intended to have our wedding in Philadelphia, but due to circumstances, we had to move it to the Washington, DC, area. I chose Adam because of his philosophy that his job was to play the music we wanted, and I did not want to switch to another, if possible. We gladly paid extra for him to travel to us down there because we knew he was worth it. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The amount of background work he did and the high level of communication and organization really helped our stress level during the final few days. Adam thought of more things than we ever would have and he made our wedding night perfect. We looked forward to our phone calls with him, he made the wedding planning process fun and personal. He took all of our ideas and went with it and honestly seemed just as excited as we were about our wedding. He went above and beyond anything you would expect from your wedding DJ. He wrote up a schedule and gave it to all of our vendors, gave me multiple waters throughout the night to make sure I was staying hydrated, and had music playing all throughout our large barn venue. Our wedding day was calling for rain but we had our hearts set on getting married outside. Adam was extremely flexible and had the music ready to go outside and inside. Luckily, we were able to do it outside! Later in the night a similar thing happened with our sparkler exit tunnel and even though it was raining slightly, Adam and his partner brought a speaker outside with a garbage bag covering it so we were even able to have music during the sparkler tunnel. I believe our wedding went as smoothly and as magically as it did because of Adam. I cannot say enough great things about him. Use Philly Custom DJ for your wedding and you will not be disappointed!

ettable. Adam went above and beyond to make the planning and understanding of what was needed for every segment of the event very logical and simple. I am very particular about music and Adam put every song my wife and I requested in the playlist (and kept the songs we absolutely did not want OUT of the playlist). He even went so far as to find a studio version of a VERY meaningful song to us that I thought only existed as a live version. It was incredible and meant almost as much as getting married to my wife! Our guests loved Adam! He is very sociable and interactive and certainly got the crowd up on their feet dancing and thoroughly enjoying our special event. My wife and I certainly go beyond thinking of Adam as being our DJ. He is now considered a friend! You should not hesitate if you're considering having or absolutely need someone to host your event!

asons I chose Adam's services was because he specifically said he would respect our playlist while also offering suggestions and advice along the way. I've been to other weddings where the DJs have "gone rogue" and didn't want that to happen at mine! I didn't live near my wedding venue, so Adam and I planned everything long distance via phone and email, which worked great. He always answered my questions and responded in a timely manner. Our wedding had some multicultural elements, and he even tracked down some very specific Indian music that I had trouble finding copies of. I would highly recommend Adam's DJ services! We couldn't have been more pleased.

He was totally open to our music requests and was extraordinarily organized with his Google doc that we could live update between our meetings. As for the father/daughter dance and mother/son dance, he really encouraged us to choose songs of personal significance rather than danceable, which really made the event more memorable to us. Our family and friends were so complimentary of the great job he did, and we would strongly recommend Adam (and his Sam-wise) to DJ any event! They even took photos which they then shared with us after the event - Amazing!

We got a TON of compliments on our playlist, and a huge part of that was Adam's skill at managing a crowd. The music was epic, but what sets Adam apart more than anything is how much he really cares about your day being for YOU, and doing little things that make a difference. He practiced the pronunciation of the Father of the Bride's name for weeks, made a point of coming into Philly to meet us at our favorite bar, and took the time to sit down with my dad at the end of the night and compliment his speech. Every step of the way it was clear that Adam truly cared about making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be.

When we told Adam we didn’t have anyone designated to tell people when to walk down the aisle, he immediately volunteered to step in. He did so much more than just play music. And the music was great too! We had said that we were going to make our own cocktail hour playlist, but realized a couple weeks before the wedding that it wasn’t going to happen. So, Adam took the songs off our existing list that were appropriate for a cocktail hour, added some of his own suggestions, and got it to us in a couple days for our input. Best of all, after meeting with Adam several times before the wedding, he felt like a friend. We trusted him to work with the other vendors to move through the schedule of the entire event, and he absolutely did not disappoint.
