Hello! My name is Chef Alex, I have been in the industry since a very young age and have grown and learned over a span of almost 30 years. A local in the area for 20 years and attended the local culinary college. 7 years ago I opened Philomena’s Catering Co. naming the company after my Italian Grandmother. I specialize in upscale Italian, Southern, American and Gourmet cuisines. Preparing food is my passion. I look forward to cooking for you on your wedding day!

Chef Alex came along in our lives at the perfect time. My daughter met her at the Grand Strand Bridal Show and fell in love with Alex and her Shrimp & Grits immediately. Not soon after that my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers. At the same time I was walking around in a cloud, Alex had us come to the store for a tasting. Moms dream about the day they can go wedding dress shopping w/their daughters. I had been dreaming about the tastings! My husband & I went with our daugher & her fiance. The table was beautiful. The food was amazing. The service was incredible. My husband said write the check. LOL! We did! Alex kept in touch every step of the way. One of the dishes we chose was the Chicken Francese. I could not believe that a chicken dish at a wedding was not dry. It was perfection!! Everyone was raving about it. Thankfully, there was a little bit left that we got to take home. My family sat on the sofa that night recapping the wedding and eating Chicken Francese. The perfect ending to a perfect day! One of the sweetest moments of my day was when Chef Alex came to me and said "everyone has been through the line but you. Can I fix you a plate?" I cannot rave enough about this All-Star Team!!! Jessie was always answering the phone when we called and walking us through things. I also highly recommend the horseradish sauce! I do not like horseradish but one of the team members recommended I try it. He was right.....I dream about the horseradish sauce! Philomena's is the team you want on your wedding day!!!!!!!!!

Chef Alex and her team were absolutely amazing! They had such great communication through out the entire process. I would definitely recommend going with them for your catering needs. And yes, the food is amazing!

Chef Alex did a great job. Our food was delicious at the wedding and we received so many compliments on it from the guests. In planning everything out, she was so helpful in giving us advice and guidance to make the day go smoothly and make sure all our guests were satisfied. I knew we were in good hands and it was a relief to have an experienced professional to entrust for our wedding.
