Phoenicia was exactly the kind of vendor we were looking for when we started planning. They were so good at communicating throughout the whole process both through email and phone. We were able to do a tasting and do last minute changes a few days before. Everything looked beautiful and was so delicious. Many of my guests told me they loved the food. Would highly recommend and honestly one of the more affordable options out there!

We used Phoenicia for our wedding and the food was INCREDIBLE! Very reasonable prices, so many options, and Denise is so sweet. She helped recommend things and was super honest about what wouldn’t work for our type of event.

We used Phoenicia for our wedding catering, and they did a phenomenal job! My husband and I worked with Denise, who was flexible, responsive to our questions, and transparent with what they could do. She was able to offer consistent suggestions for what and how much to order. Even when I messed up and forgot to make plans for flatware and utensils until the week before the wedding, she jumped straight into options that Phoenicia could provide and was able to give us a reasonable price at short notice. She was lovely to work with and a true professional. Our family and friends ranted and raved about how delicious everything was- we went with kabobs and falafel and an assortment of salads and appetizers, and everything tasted incredible! Don't skip the lamb kabobs, cucumber salad, or pistachio apricot orzo… or of course, the baklava. Of note, they have a variety of menu options (not just Middle Eastern/Mediterranean) and levels of formality depending on what suits your needs. Everything was plated beautifully and at the most reasonable price we found for a buffet. Denise and 2 staff were present throughout our reception from setup to tear down. Our wedding was in that odd couple of weeks when COVID-19 was ramping up but not yet prevalent in Houston; despite mounting anxieties and a ever-changing set of plans, Phoenicia was flexible and ready to provide services in a way that minimized risks to their staff and our guests. They even offered (unprompted) to stick around and serve our desserts (which we'd gotten from another vendor) to minimize guest contact with the food. I'd used Phoenicia for catering for a small family gathering before the wedding, and when a part of our order mistakenly was sent with another customer, they immediately identified the mistake, apologized up front, and had it remade and delivered to our home within an hour. In general, this is a uniquely Houston establishment with incredible staff. Their menu is wide, their prices are reasonable, but what makes this place special is the professionalism and kindness of this family business. I cannot recommend Phoenicia highly enough, whether for your wedding, pre-wedding events, or even just a cute date night (grab a picnic and head to Discovery Green). Thank y'all!

We had such an amazing experience with Phoenicia as our wedding caterer! Sarah and Denise were terrific from the very beginning of the planning phase all the way through to our special day. They were very flexible, professional and prompt. The menu selection covers everything you would need from international fare to traditional comfort food. The presentation and taste of the food was exactly what we hoped for and the guests were happy. Call them to receive a personable caterer who cares about your wedding as much as you do!

Would give zero stars if possible - this is not based on food or catering because they never returned my multiple calls or emails asking for a quote. I first contacted Phoenicia in February of this year to get a quote for my wedding in November - nobody responded. I called in March and apparently my request was never printed out or added to the queue. I was able to speak to the catering manager to talk about some ideas, and he asked me to send him some potential menu items and he would send me a quote. It has been three months and even after countless emails nobody has provided me with a quote. The only responses I received from my inquiries were that they were working on current orders and would get back to me. If I can't even get a quote from them in a timely manner, how could I trust that they would come through on my wedding day?

This is THE downtown place to buy those unique grocery items. Looking for fresh food, this place has everything you need. For impressive parties to a small lunch, they are on target. Love their breakfast and salad bars and the sweet tooth in me loves their assortment of deserts. I will continue to bring my friends, both old and new to experience what Phoenicia has to offer.

One of the best Catering companies I have came by in a long time. We used them for our reception . The food was displayed very nice, it was hot and very delicious! We will be using them again very soon. Very professional!

Where to begin.....everything the Phoenicia Catering team did for us was amazing! We used them to cater our wedding reception and they provided everything from the food, cake, and bar services! My now husband is a big beer snob and they were able to get his favorite local beers for our out of town guests! They were extremely flexible when we had to increase our had count a couple weeks prior to the event and still able to keep everything reasonably within budget.

We used Phoenicia to cater our daughters bridal shower and couldn’t be more pleased! Planning the event from Chicago we were worried about the difficulty of the process and all our fears were quickly put to rest when we started communicating with Phoenicia. The entire Catering team was so professional and each member truly went out of their way to make our event perfect. We loved that they were able to provide everything and didn’t have to deal with multiple vendors -appetizers, food, desserts and drinks! Phoenicia grocery store has now become one of our favorite spots to visit when we are in Houston as it brings such happy memories 😊
