The Phoenician is an elegant and classic venue in the heart of San Antonio, Texas. It sits on the property of the St. George Maronite Event Center. The 20-acre estate features tall oak trees, stunning architecture, and three unique spaces. The Phoenician is a spacious event venue with two separate venues to accommodate any size event, from weddings to quinceañras, corporate events, Christmas parties, and more.
Facilities and Capacity
The Grand Ballroom can host 150 to 500 guests, whereas the Silver Salon hosts up to 120 for smaller events. The Phoenician Ballroom features a full-size stage and dance floor and a Courtyard ideal for cocktails or outdoor ceremonies. Custom lighting and patio lights are available for an evening affair. Both Ballrooms have an open atmosphere with bright windows and wood doors.

y late in the game (booked in May for an August wedding). We made plans, and had to change them several times due to the constant uncertainty of COVID. Despite so many last minute changes, Joseph's team handled it all very well. Since our wedding was a multi event weekend, Joseph made sure that between each day, that the venue was completely sanitized to ensure the safety of our guests. There were several sanitizer stations set up all over the venue, bathroom was cleaned throughout all events to keep surfaces sanitized. We rented chairs and linens through the venue, but since we had Indian food for our events, we had that catered from elsewhere. This venue does do everything though -- they cater, decorate, have floral, lighting -- you name it, they have it! I would recommend The Phoenician to anyone, any type of wedding! Joseph and his team were very easy to work with and flexible to different cultures. Thank you Phoenician team for such a great weekend!!!

The décor that they were responsible for was on point. Anything that was a slight miscue, they fixed on the spot. Leading up to the big day, Osvaldo met with us on several occasions outside of normal hours to accommodate our work schedule, and to iron out all the details. He was very professional, and his architecture background provided different views and perspectives on things we were considering.
The day and evening of the event, he came up to me at least 5 times to make sure everything was in order and if we needed anything. His staff was on point and very responsive to our needs and to his guidance.
On a scale of 10, we would rate the Phoenician Ballroom a 9.5. It would be a 10, but we were hopeful that the new carpet had been in place by the day of our event. But Osvaldo assured me that they are working on that and hope to have it in by the end of 2019.
So anyone that is looking for something small and quaint, or big and roomy, this complex can accommodate both. You will be treated with kindness, professionalism and courtesy. From a venue perspective, you will get what you pay for, plus a bit extra.

attention to detail was impeccable. The team helped plan our customized menu, showed us a great variety of linens and the floral decor was straight out of a magazine. The venue outside and in was a great background for the most beautiful portraits.
Osvaldo responded to every text and email I sent in a timely manner and during our wedding setup the whole team made sure we were on board with how they would decorate.
