He smoothly coordinated a key moment where guests watched a video of our elopement, then perfectly timed our intro, first dance, and a quick thank-you speech. Everything flowed beautifully thanks to him. Stop looking, this is your guy. Curtis is the man!

planning is stressful enough, and the idea of having to work out the logistics of song timing gives me a retroactive headache. The benefits of not having to stress about timings and a reception playlist alone is worth going with a DJ, and Curtis absolutely nailed it. I am the type-A bride that mapped the exact second in the song I picked for me to walk down the aisle too, and he absolutely nailed it. That is all just the tip of the iceberg. We had an incredible time working with Curtis to map out what we wanted our day to feel and sound like, and he was amazing at every step in the process. It was so important to me that the reception dance floor was lively, and he perfectly transformed my vision into reality. I even made it a touch difficult at times, especially when I said we were doing the Hora (chair dance) and we wanted Haga Navila to play, but I didn't know what version. He took my descriptions for the evening and found the perfect version that perfectly encompassed the traditional values and the modern party vibes we wanted. He has his own equipment and was super familar with our venue, The Barn at Tall Oaks, meaning he handled everything day of. Literally everything!!! All of that said, he would be the perfect DJ in the most ideal circumstances... I also got to see how amazing he can be in the least ideal. As though wedding planning isn't stressful enough, Hurricane Helene came and really threw a wrench into things. We got married in Hendersonville, NC, on 10/19/2024. My top priority was everyone's safety and well-being, and I had made peace with the fact that my wedding was going to look different from how I had planned it. Curtis, and our other vendors, pulled off a true magic act when absolutely NOTHING had to be compromised. Even when I had exactly one bar of service leaning out our back window and Curtis was navigating his own power/service struggles, he made sure to check in and ensure we had everything perfectly mapped out... and then he executed it perfectly. Edit because I cannot believe I forgot to mention: I am nonbinary and complicate things a bit with the terms I use. I used bride day of, but now use husband. I don't use Ms./Mrs., but rather Mx. Curtis went above and beyond to make sure that I felt respected and heard. He did amazing with my pronouns and honorifics. It was so clear how much he genuinely cares!!!!

He even jumped out on the dance floor and danced with us. He has got some great dance moves. He is also reasonably priced. If you need a DJ, Curtis is your man! You will not be disappointed.

He was fun and really great to get people up for the bouquet toss, garter toss, and to dance! Book him and you won’t regret it!
