When we decided we didn't want a videographer, we knew that the photographer would be instrumental to capturing so much of our wedding - and Chana and Don absolutely delivered!! Throughout the planning process for our actual wedding, Chana kept in constant communication with us, and answered any questions we may have had about things such as ideal photo group shots for the big day, and which dress colors would photograph best, and more! Her wedding day timeline helped make our photo sessions feel super organized, and offered so many options for us to get as many perfect shots as possible - even having us wander into a garden to get some of the loveliest photos of the evening! Also, as we are from the East Coast and wanted some classic sunset photos of the two of us, Chana did everything in her power to deliver truly breathtaking photos. While I didn't get to spend as much time with Don, as he worked with the groomsmen while Chana photographed the bridal party, his photos also showed how talented he is and how much fun the group had. Lastly, the turn-around time for receiving our photos was incredible! We got almost all of our photos less than a week after our wedding - we are still grinning from such a special day, and are so grateful to this pair for being able to capture every single moment.

Chana was very good at checking in with us throughout the planning, ensuring she had all of the information she needed and that we were on the same page in terms of who's who and day-of timeline. On the day-of, Chana did not disappoint. She tirelessly took photos of us, our wedding party, and guests for 7 straight hours! Most of the time I didn't even realize she was there! Chana's quality of photos and directiveness were essential on our big day. We didn't want to take any posed photos during cocktail hour, so she worked quickly and efficiently to take all of our posed photos before the ceremony. After the ceremony she was all over the place taking candids of all of our guests -- she even got down on the ground and laid in tanbark to catch a shot of us with the sunset - we loved her dedication! We really appreciated that Chana was fun and easy to work with, but also wore her business hat the day-of to make sure the proper photos were taken and that photos take up too much of our wedding night. Thank you Chana for everything!

s - Chana and another local photographer, who was slightly less money. I showed my husband (then fiance) both photographers' portfolios and asked him which he liked, and he immediately chose Chana. He said he could tell the photos were just better and didn't need photoshop to look good. I told him the price difference between the two photographers and he said to definitely go with Chana. So, we did! Chana was early for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. (You do not know how amazing this is until you are a nervous bride looking at the clock, wondering if you'll have enough time to get everything done.) She was excellent at getting my husband and I to look natural. We had our dog for both shoots and she got some incredible pictures of him, too! She knows the good spots to go to get awesome pictures. Our most breathtaking photos were at places she suggested. She is also very flexible and willing to work with you - for example, we postponed our engagement shoot two days before and she was totally cool about it, and quick to offer up new dates. Chana also was excellent about keeping in touch just enough, so she wasn't bombarding me, but I also wasn't worried she had forgotten about me. She's also very quick to respond whenever you email her. However, one of the best things about Chana is how fast she works. We had wedding sneak peeks a week just under after our wedding (and a good amount of them, too!), and ALL our wedding pictures two weeks after the wedding. She had our engagement pictures back to us in TWO DAYS. You would never guess she worked that fast with how nice the pictures look. I do not hesitate to recommend Chana to anyone!

we were planning for our ultra-small wedding at Paradise Point in San Diego and she immediately “got it.” Chana knew the venue well and had some examples of previous wedding photos she had shot there for us to see. On the day of the wedding, Chana was totally on top of EVERYTHING. We planned our pre-wedding photos of the groom/groomsmen and bride/bridesmaids separately that went right up to the ceremony time, but Chana knocked them all out so efficiently and quickly that we all got to the ceremony EARLY! Chana knew exactly what to do and where to go and those pics ended up being some of our favorites from that day. Chana has the best attitude and her enthusiasm comes through when you’re working with her. She totally got the “relaxed, fun” spirit of our wedding and her poses for our pictures reflected that. We love our pictures and are so happy with our choice of having Chana document that special day for us.

ok our engagement pictures at Sunset Cliffs and the pictures were amazing! We loved how detailed she was and how comfortable we felt with her. It was like a friend was taking our pictures! We got the engagement pictures super fast too! We hired both Chana and Don for our wedding since we wanted Chana with me and the girls while we got ready and wanted Don with my now husband and the guys. They did a great job capturing candid shots while we all got ready! We didn't do a first look but we had pictures taken of each of us when we first saw each other as I walked down the aisle and it was awesome! Chana & Don were SO detailed and they made taking pictures fun! It was SO great having Chana take pictures of us after the ceremony while Don went around and took pictures of our guests. For the reception Chana & Don did an amazing job capturing EVERYTHING and having two photographers gave us difference perspectives and covered more ground in less time. I cannot tell you know awesome it is to have two photographers take your wedding pictures! We received some teaser pictures like a day after the wedding and then received ALL of the pictures just a few days later, super fast! The pictures were BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely LOVE them!! Both Chana & Don were super nice, friendly, professional, and awesome photographers! Anytime I called, texted, or emailed Chana she got back to me right away. She was always there for me with all of my questions and requests and put me at ease knowing that hiring them was the best decision we made! We HIGHLY recommend Chana & Don! Her masterful eye captured many beautiful moments. My friends and family loved our photos! Wedding: Chana captured my family's love and excitement in shot after shot of our wedding. She was incredibly non-invasive yet, like a ninja, she captured everything, even moments I didn't know about until I saw the pictures! She has an artist's eye and took many unique arrangements that told a story by themselves. I had many extra requests for group shots (a big group shot of all of our friends and family, and different combinations of our family and friends). Chana handled them like a pro and even finished ahead of schedule! I heard so many horror stories from my fellow brides about the photographer taking endless photos but Chana got amazing shots of us with incredible efficiency. There is nobody else that I would have preferred to have as my photographer on my wedding. Thank you so much Chana for capturing memories that I will share with my family for years to come :)

oneymoon. I think the only thing that would keep it from 5 stars is that we wish we could have had more family photos. Although she did not keep us from taking more, we wanted to have a list so that none were missed and she assured us that no list was needed. Unfortunately this resulted in us missing a few combos that we would have really wanted to have. Outside of family combos (probably 3), everything else worked out perfectly well. She was always on time, took great photos, had a fantastic turn around, and seemed to be a great value. I would strongly suggest you have Chana do your photos. My only other suggestion would be to maybe just clarify better before hand and specific combos you want to make sure are taken just to make sure everyone is on the same page or maybe have your coordinator have a list to check off and catch any "missed" combos just in case.

I called Chana and reserved her and Don for our wedding even though it was over a year away. I knew Chana had the perfect bubbly, fun personality, but when she found out we were doing our ceremony and reception aboard the Flagship's California Princess ship, I think she literally jumped for joy! haha It had been years since she'd done a harbor cruise wedding. Originally, we were not going to do an engagement shoot but the more I thought about it, I knew it was best for us to have worked with Chana prior to the big day. My then fiance was not happy -- he does not like having his picture taken and he hates being posed. But he agreed, and honestly the two of us had a BLAST during our beach shoot and after he said to me 'ok, that was fun!' And that is when I knew I couldn't have made a better decision for our wedding! I was right, Chana and Don were amazing during our entire wedding day and they truly captured the day -- the smiles, the laughs, the tears (of joy). And our guests loved them too! Chana does it right and she has the ability to become that 'invisible photographer' and capture the perfect shots while no one really notices shes there. Its amazing! Equally as important, she is VERY responsive and organized; whenever I would email her with questions, her responsiveness (and enthusiasm!!) was impeccable. I was worried our engagement shoot at Crystal Pier would be awkward, having never had a professional photoshoot before, but Chana made us feel at ease and guided us through every step of the way. The photos were stunning and I got SO many compliments on them! The day of our wedding, she captured the decorations, group photos, candid moments, and minute details that I didn't even get to see!!! None of our guests noticed she was there, yet she managed to get every single memory. Less than a week later we got previews, and less than three weeks later we received the full set of edited photos!! Thank you Chana!!! I could go on and on, but let me leave you with this: hire Chana if you are looking for a San Diego photographer who knows EVERY beautiful location for engagement photos, is a pro at photographing The Catamaran Resort, and who will make you feel like no one is watching even though she is saving every special memory for you one shot at a time :)

She gives you ALL of the edited photos within 2 weeks which is just phenomenal... we were still on our honeymoon and she already had teasers ready for us! She offers photo books and prints, but also gives you a link to print photos from home that you can share with all of your family and friends. She has done tons of weddings so she knows all of the poses and combos for the wedding day - we didn't need to give her a photo list, but make sure you tell her if you have a few specifics you would like :) She's super quick - we were able to knock out all of the bride's and groom's side photos in an hour before the wedding and our wedding party and bride/groom shots done during happy hour with a few minutes to spare. ana for our engagement photos at Sunset Cliffs beach. She was so awesome. We all got soaked in the process but got some amazing photos! She took about 150 photos in about 1 hr!! She edited them and we had them in about 1 week! We just had our wedding this past week and Chana showed up at my house a few minutes early (while Don met with the groom and groomsmen at another location). While we were finishing hair and makeup she snapped some candids and then proceeded to take photos of my dress, rings, accessories, etc. She had developed a very detailed timeline for the day and we were right on time! She scoped out a great place to take pictures of the bridesmaids/bride/family prior to the ceremony. Don was doing the same for the boys. We got so many amazing photos. She knew exactly how to capture our specail day. Both Chana and Don photographed the ceremony and then after the ceremony, my husband, Chana and I headed over to the beach for some sunset photos! We had such and amazing time and she captured some unbelievable photos! Don, meanwhile photographed the cocktail hr and got some candids of us greeting our guests during dinner. They did an amazing job! The best part....we got 10 "teasers" the next morning... and they are amazing... cannot wait to see the rest! t the next bridal bizarre. Chana was so helpful, she layed out a timeline and gave us helpful tips. I expressed my concern with my future husband distaste for a large amount of photos, both of them said no problem. They made it relaxing, but structured. They caught real moments and we couldn't be more thankful. They were such a blessing and everyone at our wedding loved them!! Our photos were posted and sent to us before we even had a chance to think about them. We highly recommend these two...you won't regret it. I wanted someone to see when they saw our wedding photos. I didn't even have to say anything to Chana and Don, they showed up with all smiles and more energy than I had at that point...AND THE PHOTOS WERE AMAZING! During the entire event, they were upbeat and so easy to follow. They had their own ideas for photos and easily fit in ours and executed them spectacularly. They're instructions were easy to follow and they were able to fit in with the crowd as if they were just family members taking our photos. My husband and I felt very reassured and excited to see how the photos turned out. When we saw them, we were blown away. I didn't understand how it was possible, but in every picture EVERYONE was smiling. And not just a grin...ear to ear and teeth everywhere! Their candids captured the best moments of every part of the wedding. We looked over these pictures soo many times since we received them. We had several sites between the getting-ready photos, reveal, family shots, ceremony, bridal party, and reception site. But despite all of these location changes, we were on schedule the entire time and we now have the most amazing selection of photos with so many awesome back drops!! I would go so far as to say we have the best photos EVER! I would highly recommend Chana and Don for any event. I completely trust them to capture the full scope of the event without having to say what is important, for any type of event. It only took me one email exchange with Chana and 1 visit to their website to decide I wanted them as our photographers. Meeting Chana on the day of our engagement shoot and meeting Don regarding our contract only sealed the deal further - they are so easy-going, dedicated, and hard-working...the list of positive attributes I could describe them with could go on forever. Flash-forward to engagement shoot and the outcome of those pictures. Engagement shoots can be very awkward and unnatural. Truthfully, you go through a series of the same pose in different places and with different outfits. Chana made my husband and I feel so comfortable through this process and kept it natural by talking throughout the afternoon, complimenting us, directing us with clear explanations, and keeping the mood light and full of love. Her passion for photography showed through every minute. We were beyond thrilled with the engagement shoot pictures and will treasure them forever. Another flash-forward to our July 2014 wedding. Coordinating in the months leading up to the big day was made simple with Chana's organization and excellent communication skills. Her recommended timeline for our pictures was PERFECT and easily attained. When Chana arrived in the bridal suite on the day of the wedding, my mom said I lit up like a kid on Christmas. I was so excited to see her and be in her happy presence. Don and Chana made our wedding day absolute perfection and captured it in a way I did not know was possible. With 700+ pictures to choose from, there isn't one that I don't love. The wedding party and immediate family raved about them throughout the day as I did. A bride and groom should be so lucky to have such amazing photographers for their wedding. I have every intention of contacting them as soon as I can for the next potential photo shoot - maternity pictures, family pics, etc.! One last time...BOOK THEM NOW!

On the wedding day she called me and told me she was there. She instantly got to work. She is AMAZING. She will happily take any shot you want and arrange some awesome ones as well. We had Bethel Nathan as our officiant and Bethel got excited when we told her who we had chosen as our photographer. When someone in the industry genuinely likes another "vendor" that seems to be a good sign. Our pictures came out jaw droppingly beautiful. She gets them back to you as soon as possible and gives you a sneak peak on facebook. She is fantastic to work with and really loves what she does. Chana is a breeze to work with and will capture your day brilliantly.

You won't find too many venue's around San Diego where they have not worked before, so they know locations and their intricacies really well. Chana was our first vendor we talked to and we built our team of vendors from Chana's recommendations and it was the best team we could've asked for. Our wedding was a dream wedding come through and Chana had a lot to do with it's outcome and capturing greatest moments. We went with two photographers and it was totally worth it. With Don we were able to catch some quality candids of the groom's party while Chana was with the bride. One of the photos we got is an areal shot of our ceremony, don't know how Don got it but it is a really unique photograph and is one of our favorites. The sunset formals, that we planed the wedding timeline around, turned out absolutely amazing. Chana did a great job directing everyone during photo shoots in order to stay on schedule and was able to capture some of the most beautiful shots we could have imagined. These captured memories will stay with us for ever and ever. Thank you Chana and Don!!

ative years). That said, the one detail I always knew had to be absolutely perfect was the photography. As someone who has always loved taking photos, I knew this was the one area of wedding planning that would require the greatest amount of work to get just right; at least that's what I thought until I met Chana and Don at a local bridal bazaar and knew my search was over. Admittedly, while bridal bazaars are definitely not my scene, this one did serve a very useful purpose: I was able to speak to the photographers in person about their photos, without having to rely on a virtual body of work absent of any context as to who actually created it. After all, when choosing a photographer(s), you are not simply asking him/her to work your event (as you would a caterer, for example): you are inviting him/her to share in what will (hopefully) be one the most defining moments of your life. And as inconspicuous as they might be on the big day, you want to know that they're going to be there documenting everything from start to finish in a way that is meaningful to you. Any number of years from now, it will be your wedding photos, the culmination of both your hard work and that of your photographer(s), that will remind you of just how amazing your wedding day really was. I could not have picked two better photographers for my wedding than Chana and Don. I knew after meeting them at the Bridal Bazaar that they would be perfect for our small mountain wedding. As others have already said, you would be hard pressed to find two more genuine people. They take their job very seriously, but also know that weddings are supposed to be fun and (relatively) stress free occasions. They were kind and gracious from start to finish, and a lot of fun--our guests loved them. They were open to suggestions (not that they needed them) and rarely came up for air. Their turnaround time is unbeatable (less than two weeks for everything). The resulting photographs are amazing beyond words, and I like to consider myself a tough critic. In the end. while their work stands on its own, the personalities behind the work are certainly an added bonus. I can't thank Chana and Don enough for their contributions to what did, in fact, turn out to be a picture perfect wedding. Fortunately, I have a multitude of truly gorgeous wedding photos to remind me for years to come.

I decided to go with one photographer however there are options for two. It was a second marriage for both of us and basic pictures was all we wanted. You would think having one photographer would limit photo coverage to a degree...NOT TRUE! Chana covered every aspect wonderfully from getting ready to well into the final hours of the reception. We ended up with close to 500 pictures (after editing) and we still can't pick our favorites because she did such a fantastic job. We had many candid photos which are usually the best. That said, we were extremely pleased with the portrait setting pictures as well. Chana's relaxed personality and mannerisms made for a very comfortable environment. That says a lot coming from an entire family who hates taking pictures! Chana captured every important moment, added black and whites and utilized the colorful views available with our venue at Tom Hams Lighthouse. I can not say enough about Chana to do her services justice so I'll go with one word, SPECTACULAR!!!

Your photographers are one of the few people who are with you throughout the entire wedding day and they are part of some of your most intimate moments. If they make you feel uncomfortable or that you can’t be yourself, the pictures will suffer. Given this, Chana and Don were perfect for us. They are so much fun to be around, are truly great people, and we were so happy to have them be part of our big day. They took both our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and did an amazing job. Throughout both of our photo sessions with them, they felt more like good friends who happened to be taking our photos and not just someone who was working. In both instances they went above and beyond the call of duty to capture our special moments For example, our engagement photos involved train tracks and walking through the waves in the ocean. Not only were they dodging trains (we literally had to run off the tracks to avoid being hit at one point), but they got into the Pacific Ocean on a cold day to capture some amazing moments of us splashing in the waves. Similarly, at the wedding they were both lying on the ground and doing whatever was necessary to capture the moment. They are troopers and they worked tirelessly to capture every detail, and the quality of their work shows that. We highly recommend them and honestly cannot imagine anyone not getting along well with them or being unsatisfied. Another thing we noticed about them, is that a lot of their customers are repeat customers and that they will photograph a couple from engagement, to wedding, to the birth of their children, and the countless family photo sessions over the years. We think this speaks volumes about how great of people they are, how deeply they connect with others, and how amazing their work is. While kids are still a few years down the road, there is no one else we would have take our family photos. One last bonus, is that the turnaround for our pictures is extremely quick and they do a great job of touching up and perfecting each photo. We got our wedding photos back half-way through our honeymoon.

ur wedding was a few weeks ago, and took place in Coronado on the beach. Chana and Don worked with our crazy schedule, stayed calm, and captured priceless moments! I'd book them again in an instant, and will definitely use them for future events and family photos!! Love love love!!!!!

Neither of us are particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but they made us feel completely at ease. Both our engagement and wedding photos came out beautifully, and even better, it was almost INSTANT gratification; in each case, we waited less than a week to get our first look at our photos online (pretty much unheard of from what I know from many other friends who have gotten married). Many of our family members have commented that our photos look like they came out of a magazine! Chana and Don managed to capture the energy and joy of our wedding day in a way that neither of us thought possible, and we are both so grateful. They get the majority of their business from referrals, and now we know why! We'll be recommending them to everyone we know to for any of life's important milestones, from weddings and anniversaries, to business openings, to new babies. We are looking forward to the next time we get to work with the two of them!

was amazed she could shoot photos directly into the sun by blocking the glare with her hand ( I guess thats difficult to do) anyway all our photos were great and we all loved Chana!!

to narrow down our choices to fit in our album. We could have used them all! We love them so much we plan to use them for maternity and baby photos when the time comes. We would definitely recommend them!

ssing: - bride and groom under ceremony arch decorated with flowers (except during actual ceremony) - full length shot of bride and groom, with train of dress nicely arranged around side of bride - more than a handful of accidental full-length shots of bride in dress - most were 3/4 length (you'd think a wedding photographer would KNOW to get the full wedding gown in most of the posed shots) Word of warning - be very specific in telling your photographers what you want. Don't assume they know to take full-length photos.
