We hired Photoflood Studio for our wedding and had a fantastic experience with Courtney and Jackson! We had a mini engagement shoot to get a feel for what it would be like before the wedding. This session helped us to get to know Courtney and vice versa. On the day of the wedding, Courtney and Jackson helped cover all the shots we wanted of the day and made us feel less awkward about taking photos (neither of us loved being the center of attention haha). Our bridal party and guests were raving about our photographers and how comfortable they made them feel especially with the group photos that we wanted. They also captured a lot of really great candid as well as posed shots of our guests, who were really excited to get beautiful photos of themselves from our wedding. Also, our venue loved working with them as well and were really happy with our choice. We plan on more photoshoots in the future with Courtney and we can't recommend her enough!

Whether you decide to have a big or small wedding, finding the perfect photographer is an essential detail. We stumbled across Courtney’s portfolio and fell in love with her story telling, but soon discovered that we loved working with her even more! Our initial meeting felt so comfortable, and her energy makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Not only did she ask what we envisioned for the day, but she helped us create a timeline, directed us on the city hall wedding process, and even compiled a whole email with other resources for hair/makeup and florists. My husband and I never take professional photos, so we don’t know how to pose elegantly, but Courtney’s direction, words, and vibe made the experience extremely fun and care-free. Our families loved her, and my relatives could not stop raving about her afterwards. I think one of the most important aspects of a photographer is to make their clients feel confident and comfortable, and to allow their emotions to organically shine - and Courtney does this perfectly. We can’t wait to work with her again in the future for our future milestones :)

I reached out to Courtney as she is a friend of a friend but make no mistake, she is by far the best photographer for your biggest day. I was very nervous trying to figure out how to surprise my then-girlfriend during the proposal and Courtney was extremely flexible during the prep process, helping give ideas and plan for the moment. Most importantly, she did a great job hiding in plain sight for the proposal. For our wedding day, Courtney was awesome snapping the best shots at City Hall. This was extremely important for us as we’d never been there but given her experience, she took us to all the best spots inside City Hall, especially the ones people don’t know about. My biggest takeaway working with Courtney is that she is very prepared, keeps you at ease during the entire photo taking process, and most importantly, brings the good vibes on your biggest day!

Courtney and Jackson were hands-down the best investment we made in our wedding. Their photographs capture the moment perfectly and are so bright, natural, authentic, and full of light, while also being tasteful and timeless. Both Courtney and Jackson are so kind, warm, and funny, and go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed in these once-in-a-lifetime photos. They are pros, guiding you to find the best light and positions that are right for you, and go out of their way to make sure you are presenting yourself in the best way possible. On the day of our wedding, Jackson fixed my husband's hair with a comb and gel, and Courtney went out of her way to adjust my hair and dupatta veil repeatedly. Their attention to detail is unparalleled, and they make it so easy to get into the moment with your friends and family, and just have fun! We can't wait to have the opportunity to work with both of them again!

We cannot express how much of a stress load it took OFF our shoulders by having both Courtney & Jackson as our phenomenal photographers and honestly, shoulders to lean on throughout our entire engagement season. There is TOO much to coordinate already that I cannot imagine having to work with photographers that I would have the slightest pinch of worry for their quality of work. This dream team covered eeeverything and more. Obviously their quality of work had me BEGGING them to shoot our wedding as we would be their first one after the "stay-at-home-order" lifted during COVID-19. Someone actually asked, "If you could choose this one family member to come to your wedding or Courtney & Jackson, who would you choose?" Unashamedly I said my photographers!!!  When these two said, "Yes", I burst into tears of joy and ultimate relief because I just wanted to know that our photography was covered in terms of... everything! Lighting, angles, experience, type of shots, relationship, catching those moments that no one sees, etc. In the time where we weren't sure if they were on board, I talked with 10 other photographers and didn't feel even close to confident trusting anyone else with our BIG DAY!!! I needed a team who I was 100% POSITIVE that they would deliver photos that are above and beyond my imagination. As expected, my photos are absolutely and undeniably breathtaking. I wish I could frame every single one all over my house. For your wedding, better "safest" than sorry. Our wedding photos were not an area we were willing to just let anyone do and I'm eternally grateful for our decision. We had the rarest opportunity to have them throughout our entire season of engagement starting from our proposal evening, our destination engagement shoot and a wedding (originally planned for Italy) re-planned in the middle of a pandemic! The biggest challenge was bringing our guest list down to such a few amount of people during COVID, but in the end, it was DREAM because we got quality time to spend with each person and to truly be present throughout the day.

I feel so, so lucky to be working with Courtney & Jackson for our wedding! We first met Courtney & Jackson after weeks of researching various wedding photographers and falling in love with Courtney’s beautiful, natural photography style. From the start, they have been so incredibly kind and reassuring. Courtney has been beyond helpful in recommending various wedding vendors - a number of which we have booked - and giving general advice about the wedding planning process. I cannot imagine how different the planning process would have been without her expert advice and words of encouragement. She feels like the friend you want to have by your side during this exciting and stressful time. A few months after our first meeting, we booked our engagement shoot. I was SO nervous for the shoot; I’m generally not a fan of being in front of a camera and was worried our pictures would reflect my awkwardness and anxiety. Thank GOODNESS for Courtney! She eased us in with some simple “smile at the camera” shots so we could shake out our nerves a little. From there, she encouraged us to be ourselves, to be silly, and to do what felt right. She joked around, gave us phenomenal prompts, and captured genuine joy from both of us. We left the shoot feeling pumped up and even more in love - it was perfect . We were even more excited when Courtney sent us some sneak peek shots the following day!! The pictures came out so beautifully, capturing both the gorgeous natural surroundings we chose, as well as our love and happiness. I am constantly revisiting our photo gallery to look at the pictures and finding new favorites each time. I’ve never loved photos of myself like this and it’s all thanks to Courtney’s passion, expert eye, and easy going demeanor. I can’t wait to work with both Courtney & Jackson again for our wedding. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have had to postpone our wedding, and while the entire postponement process has been (understandably) stressful, Courtney has once again been so flexible and kind to us. Her email check-ins and words of encouragement mean so much and has made us feel hopeful and excited for our new wedding date next year. Working with Courtney & Jackson has been one of the best choices we have made during the planning process. Thank you for all that you’ve done for us!!!!

We booked Courtney for our engagement photos and it was the best decision we made! When we started looking into photographers, we had no idea what to expect but working with her was a dream! Right from the initial email exchanges, the quick intro call, planning locations and schedules down to the actual photoshoot and regular post-session updates - things could not have been more smoother and stress-free :)  We were really nervous about posing for photos but Courtney made us feel very comfortable and all her tips on how to pose were so helpful. Her cheery, excited and happy-go-lucky attitude made us feel completely relaxed and helped us truly enjoy the process. She took into consideration our comfort level, our own ideas for pictures and she made sure that every element of the shot was was perfect. She sent us a sneak peek the very next morning. We were blown away by how quickly she delivered and the quality of her work. If you are searching for a photographer for your wedding or photoshoot, the most important things you need to look for are: their work ethic, whether they stick to their delivery deadlines and how comfortable they make you and your partner feel throughout the process (not just during the shoot). Courtney met all these criteria and in fact went above and beyond to make our engagement photoshoot a memorable, fun-filled experience. Although the engagement photos were just one part of our wedding journey, it set the tone for the rest of our journey. Courtney was such a pleasure to work with on our engagement and wedding day photos! It's evident that she has refined her process over many years of experience of photographing weddings. She is so friendly, and her bright and fun personality definitely helped to ease our discomfort in front of the camera. I highly recommend the engagement shoot to get to know her and get comfortable being on camera before the big day. It ended up raining the entire week that we were scheduled to shoot our engagement photos. Rather than postponing the photos, we decided to move forward getting indoor shots at SF City Hall and SF Moma. Courtney was happy to accommodate us and really made the best of it. The photos turned out beautifully. Luckily, it was clear skies on our wedding day, and Courtney and Lindsay made a perfect day even more enjoyable. Courtney is the reason why we love Photoflood Studio so much! It's so important to feel comfortable and happy with someone that is going to capture one of the most important days of your life, and Courtney really goes above and beyond to really get to know you as a person and as a couple. There is simply too much that I can write about Courtney & Jackson, but i'll do my best to condense it down for you.. yes you, I know you're looking for a photographer for whatever occasion, and just went through a million pages on Yelp so let me help you make that decision for you. Go with Photoflood Studio! Photography was one of our top priorities when diving into wedding planning. We were so flustered with all the things needed to be done, but once we got to know C&J and after our engagement shoot, we felt so much relief at what a rockstar duo we were working with. They went above and beyond, helping us with recommendations and answering our non-photography related questions. Regardless of how camera shy you may think you are, C&J makes it a breeze and joy. We genuinely loved the time spent with them and it never felt awkward. They are extremely organized, thorough, and responsive. You can really put your trust in them to work/think on their feet. Amongst the chaos of asian family photo's, C&J effortlessly maneuvered us and our family around, snapped the shots, and still managed to keep us on schedule. It pains me that I can give no more than 5 stars, because C&J deserve that and much more! We're really looking forward to the next opportunity to book a session (: Thank you, Courtney & Jackson for being you. You guys are the absolute best at what you do, keep it up!

Courtney was phenomenal. Kind, energetic, organized, and most of all insanely talented. She made us feel comfortable and look great. Even our guests were raving about her at the reception! We even got a sneak peek within the week, which turned out more wonderful than I ever could have hoped for—we look like we belong in a fabulous magazine! I can't stress how awesome Courtney was and how lucky we were to have her spend the day with us.

The biggest challenge we faced in our wedding planning were all the logistics of bringing a multi-cultural and geographical family together and of course budget! These challenges made me feel overwhelmed at times, and we really needed a team of wedding vendors that had the right energy and realized just how special our "United Nations" multi-cultural wedding really was to us and everybody attending. I first met Courtney at an ice cream parlor... and she had the most cheerful, upbeat, open personality ever. After we hired Courtney and Jackson, we knew that we could trust that our pictures would turn out amazing AND that we'd enjoy having them near us on such a special day. Our wedding experience with Courtney and Jackson was phenomenal. I do not even hesitate to say that they basically became part of our family! Their presence had a special impact on us and everybody involved in the wedding process and day of! Plus, the photos are like straight out of a magazine. :) My hope is that these two will always be around to help us capture future life events or special moment in our lives. If you're thinking about hiring Photoflood Studio, you don't have to look any further and know you can totally trust these guys!

After getting our venue for our wedding, we knew we wanted to secure a photographer. I found Photoflood Studio through Instagram as I was looking at photos shot at our venue. I fell in love with one photo and started to creep on Courtney. I showed my now husband her Instagram like a fan girl and we both agreed we loved all her photos and decided to DM her. She was very quick to respond. I realized we had a lot of mutual friends as her husband, Jackson went to Cal Poly SLO as well. Of course, I wanted to do my due diligence and asked our mutual friends what they thought, and they all spoke very highly of Courtney. We e-mailed back and forth and decided to meet up for boba. We went right when boba opened before the holiday shopping rush in Union Square. Right away, my now husband and I felt super comfortable with Courtney and Jackson and felt like we were long time friends. They are both super personable, yet professional. We hung out for hours just chatting. It was very important for us to feel very comfortable with our wedding photographers. My husband isn't that into photos taken of him, but after our engagement shoot, he said he actually enjoyed it! Courtney made us feel super comfortable and her spunky and positive personality kept us going through the windy and cold evening! Her commentary during the session makes me laugh just thinking of it, but that't exactly what you want- to be natural in your photos! Throughout the year of planning, Courtney was always super responsive and gave us a lot of tips and vendor recommendations! Prior to the wedding, she had us fill out a questionnaire for our wedding day asking details of our wedding party and family members. She was very organized, even color coordinating the Google Doc. Fast forward to the wedding day, Courtney and Jackson arrived early and were ready to go! They started off with photographing the details while we continued getting ready. They are such a great team, they worked flawlessly with our coordinator throughout the day and checked in on us periodically. They are both very detail oriented and want to make sure they get the best shot! You know they really care about their work and are very professional. They make every moment seem natural and are super fun to be around. We genuinely wanted to just talk to them the whole time while doing portraits, they are just so fun! It was also very important for us to enjoy time with our guests during cocktail hour, they both kept with the schedule and moved along through family portraits diligently! Post wedding, they already sent us a bunch of sneak peek photos within the week! We were so excited to see all the amazing photos, they captured the day so perfectly! If you are trying to find photographers for your wedding that are fun to hang out with and take great photos, you found them! They are the dynamic duo, both so talented and skillful. Many of our guests only had great things to say about the couple! Choose photographers that you want to spend the day with, because they are honestly the guests you spend the most time with! They felt like friends we invited that liked to take pictures of us. I could write on and on about how great they are and why you should choose them, but i'll leave with these final words-your wedding photos are a lifetime, and they will do the job well! We highly recommend choosing Courtney and Jackson to be your wedding photographers!

Courtney is seriously the best!!! I vetted a couple of photographers during my search and ultimately chose Courtney because of her ability to instantly make you feel comfortable, willingness to share knowledge, quick response time and open communication style, attentiveness to detail, and of course her amazing portfolio! Her prices are also so reasonable for what she offers and the insight that comes with her experience is invaluable. I slid into Courtney's DMs one late night after checking out her IG feed with a quick inquiry and she actually responded within 20 minutes. She was so excited for us, even at 12:20am! I could just feel her energy through the phone and she didn't make me feel weird at all for messaging her so late. She quickly emailed me all the information I was looking for and offered to meet to talk through everything. This was so helpful for us to get a sense of her vibe and see how my hubby and I clicked with her. Courtney offered so much advice before we even hired her! I so appreciate the time she takes with each new client. We ended up booking her for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. For our engagement shoot, I was so amazed at what Courtney was able to get accomplished in 2 hours. We shot in 3 separate "backdrops" and she made the whole session feel fun and natural, like getting coffee with a friend. My husband is super shy and awkward about being photographed but Courtney was our biggest hype-woman. On our wedding day, Courtney was mindful in getting all the family shots and important moments we wanted. I loved that she was subtle in capturing everything and it never felt forced or in your face so you could still enjoy the moment. She was great with all of our guests and family. Outside of her photography skills and eye for light/framing, her biggest value-add to me was how much she helped with figuring out a timeline of events and a day-of schedule. Because I didn't have a planner, I leaned heavily on her input to determine how long each event would take, as well as when events should happen to maximize flow and efficiency. She was so patient with all of our questions and always provided thoughtful feedback - I felt assured that I was in good hands. As a testament to her attention to detail, Courtney checked in with us about a week prior to our big day with a whole list of small but very important tips that we didn't think of and even remembered to bring a copy of my invitation on the day of for the details shot when I forgot it! Courtney goes above and beyond her role (keeping me away from spilled wine, running in to untie the aisle ribbon when she noticed the coordinator forgot) and definitely puts in the extra effort to alleviate any stress so you can enjoy your day. WOW.... where to even begin with this glowing review for Courtney and Jackson of Photoflood Studios. These two changed our entire wedding experience for the best, and we couldn't be more thankful that we selected them as our photographers.  When we started the wedding planning process, it was overwhelming and a little intimidating, especially when we started looking at vendor prices here in the Bay Area. But, my husband and I both knew that we wanted to spend the money on a quality photographer because the photos are something we will have forever. When we started browsing photographers, we didn't feel connected to anyone's work until we saw C+J's website.  The biggest challenge that we faced in our wedding planning process was finding the big ticket vendors: wedding planner, photographer, caterer, florist, and DJ. It felt SO good to check photographer off our list early in the game. One thing I loved was that Courtney met us in person to discuss our visions and just to get to know each other before we committed to a contract (it's a big commitment, people!) and from that first meeting in when we saw her bubbly personality, I knew that this was meant to be. I emailed her within 48 hours that we wanted to work together, and the rest is history. My husband and I decided we could not afford a videographer, so instead we knew we wanted two photographers. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Courtney and Jackson handled our engagement session and wedding day so seamlessly, it was like they'd been taking our pictures our whole lives! I read online that engagement photos are a good warmup and practice for wedding pictures (highly recommend engagement pictures for anyone who is unsure). Another brilliant decision, because after our engagement photos we were so ready for the wedding! Our engagement session was magical and the first time we saw Courtney and Jackson working together. These two are the epitome of a dream team. We were nervous for our engagement pictures, but they made us feel so comfortable and so confident. We left our engagement session as BFFS, and we were so excited to see them again at our wedding! C+J were HUGE proponents to making our wedding day a success. I think they are super heroes!!! Our wedding experience was so flawless with them capturing our special day. We requested a "mega selfie" with us and all our guests, and they made that happen!  We snuck off during dinner for the sunset newly wed shots, and they personally drove us around chasing the sunset. It's inexplicable how wonderful these people are. They are so much more than talented photographers, and we are so fortunate to now call them friends.  Something else that was really important is that even with all of their photoshoots and other clients, Courtney ALWAYS responded to my emails in a timely manner. She was so on it, and that made me feel really valued and heard. The fact that I always got an email response in a timely fashion was huge brownie points in my book. AND, they send you sneak peeks!! Literally the day after they sent us a bunch of sneak peeks! There is literally nothing better than getting a taste of your special memories to hold you over until the full gallery is ready. If you are on the fence about photographers, know that your time with C+J will be one of the best parts of your wedding. They want to capture you and your partner as you are, and will never make you feel posed, uncomfortable, or phony. Hire them....You will not regret it!!!

Buckle up, because this review will be pretty long. I refuse to mince words about how amazing Courtney and Jackson are. If you just came from their Yelp page (or vice versa), know this is the same review except for this part. Because I wanted you to know I didn't just copy and paste it, but actually feel extreme happiness and excitement over having gone with Courtney and Jackson to the point of slightly updating my review before pasting it on another site to ensure its genuineness. I hate taking photos. I'm also wildly shy and awkward, and I apparently don't know how to move my body like an actual human being. My (now) wife is also pretty shy. We don't do PDA. Having engagement and wedding photos aounds like it would be a complete nightmare, right? Wrong. Absolutely not the case with Courtney and Jackson. Firstly, the two exude genuineness. I've always assumed that hiring any sort of professional entailed a "strictly business" arrangement. Not here. When the task at hand requires you to be comfortable and intimate with your partner while someone you've just met takes photos of it, it's very easy to feel weird about it. From the very first moment I met Courtney, every fear I had was alleviated. She is WILDLY passionate about getting the best shots for you, and it's obvious in the giddy excitement she expresses in every shot. On the subject of genuineness, I wanted to say that many of our wedding guests felt the same way and expressed similar sentiments. The fact that pretty muxh everyone at our wedding were able to just have real conversations with Courtney and Jackson should signal to you that I'm not being hyperbolic. You will never get tired of hearing, "wow, I just spoke to your photographers for a long time and they are really damn cool." Courtney and Jackson are also absolute pros at what they do with an unbelievable amount of experience. They know exactly how to explain a pose or get you to understand what they're asking for. They are excellent timekeepers and have a clear understanding of what you're looking for. Every interaction both during and before the wedding is exemplary of someone who is truly dedicated and passionate about making sure you have an incredible event documented in exactly the ways you want. If you're on the fence about hiring these two, I hope this essay has convinced you to just do it. Seriously, just do it.

Courtney and Jackson are AMAZING. The dream team. They are this lovable, dynamic couple who makes you feel so comfortable that you forget that a camera is pointed at you. My husband and I are both super awkward taking photos together and we do not know how to pose at all. So naturally, we were really nervous about both our engagement shoot and our wedding photos. Good thing we found Courtney and Jackson! Courtney's bubbly personality and funny commentary really made us feel more comfortable and helped loosen us up. She would give us direction but also encouraged us to be our natural selves. By the end of the shoot, we were doing "Instagram worthy" poses. Or at least Courtney was able to edit it to look that way. By the middle of the session, we were looking forward to what pose we would do next. After the shoot, my husband actually said he had fun. Jackson was also amazing. Throughout the wedding, the groomsmen and my husband would not stop raving about how cool he was! My husband always looks extremely stiff and rarely ever smiles for pictures, but Jackson was able to make the impossible happen. Jackson was able to loosen my husband up and found ways to make him laugh and smile. Not only were they fun to shoot with, but Courtney was so quick in editing and sending back photos! To my surprise, Courtney gave me a few edited sneak peaks the next day! The rest of the fully edited pictures came not long after. I was expecting mostly awkward pictures and maybe a handful of good ones that we can post. But ALL the photos were AMAZING! We could not believe how Courtney was able to make my husband and I look so good. In addition to photo services, Courtney was always available if you needed suggestions or advice about vendors. Also, she would check in on us every so often and offer bits of advice throughout the whole wedding planning process. As someone who feels awkward and camera shy, I can honestly say from experience that Courtney and Jackson are the photographers for you. I 1000% recommend Courtney and Jackson for any photography needs. They are the absolute BEST!!!

I couldn't of been happier with Courtney and her husband! They are such awesome people and even traveled all the way to Hawaii with us for our engagement photos! They have this nonstop ability to make you laugh even though your jaw is sore and you've never smiled so much in your life. They have such high energy that I even have a hard time keeping up! One of best vendors that we chose at our wedding. I couldn't be happier.

The moment I met Courtney I knew instantly that she was just the person we needed on our big day. She made both of us feel so comfortable and well taken care of on our engagement shoot and more importantly on our wedding day. Courtney was recommended by a friend who had just used Photoflood for her wedding. I loved their style and knew that's just what I was looking for. From the moment I contacted them I felt like I was in good hands. They always checked up on me throughout my planning process and let me know that they were there for me which I thought was so genuine to who they are behind the camera. I have a photo of my husband and I walking back down the aisle that I will cherish forever. I couldn't even tell you where Courtney was standing when that moment was captured which I believe shows how she thinks of everything (even where she stands to not be in the way lol ) when capturing your big day. They were patient, kind, and invested in capturing every detail and moment of our wedding and I am so grateful for that. We had a very large bridal party and I told Courtney that day can we use some chairs for the group photos because I thought it would like nice. I am by no means a professional at photography and without hesitation she quickly grabbed some chairs, posed everyone, and photographed some of the most elegant wedding photos I have ever seen ! I love that ! They are by far my top recommendation out of all the vendors from our wedding day.

Courtney and Jackson were such a blessing on our wedding day. They showed up almost an hour early to scope out our venue, and to check in with us. Before I comment on how amazing their photography is, I want to say how much of a support they were to us beyond taking photos. They felt like friends to us by the end of the night. From fitting right in with all of our friends, to grabbing us food when we were starving, and even helping me get my shoes on. It was like they were attending our wedding while capturing it. As far as our experience, they were outstanding. In all of our portraits and shots we felt like ourselves, which was very important to us. They captured the grand moments and the quieter, more tender ones. They were there for us when we needed them, and when we were wrapped up in enjoying our wedding day, they blended right into the background. They are people I would 100 percent hire, for their work and maybe even to hang out with them again. We can’t stop looking at all of the special memories and are so thankful for their artistry - seriously the best wedding gift for us!

My husband and I are so incredibly lucky to have stumbled across the Photoflood Studio Instagram last year and we are even luckier to have had both Courtney and Jackson travel all the way to Vietnam to photograph our big day in April. People always say that your wedding day is a blur, and it's true. If it weren't for Courtney and Jackson I'm sure many of our wedding's moments would have slipped through our memories. From a pre-wedding photoshoot in Hoi An's Old Town, to getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids, to tearful vows, to wedding party speeches, and to the dancefloor, Courtney and Jackson were there for us not just on our wedding day but in the months leading up to it. They even emailed us guides and tips on how to handle destination wedding planning (something they're quite the experts at!) and made sure to give us our space post-wedding ceremony so we could absorb all of the love from each other, our family, and our friends. Not only that, but they made enormous effort to get to know us as a couple and our little love story — this was a big thing for us as we wanted someone who could really capture our relationship. Throughout our various photoshoots in the sweltering heat of central Vietnam, my husband and I felt awkward because Courtney had laid the groundwork to make us feel as comfortable around her and the camera as possible (even as a gaggle of tourists cheered us on during ak kiss). We cannot imagine having anyone else as our wedding photographer and are so grateful to have become friends with such a sweet, humble, and amazing couple.

Its a rare thing to have your photographers become some of your sweetest friends. Courtney and Jackson went from photographers capturing our proposal, to friends throughout our engagement, to family capturing our wedding. Being a photographer myself, booking someone for my wedding was always a thought that terrified me; I couldn't imagine who I could hand over the reins with, to trust on the most important day of my life. But after having Courtney capture the secret proposal my fiance (now husband) set up, it was the most incredible experience; to which her presence and joy only added to. We didn't feel like "our moment" was stolen from us by having a photographer there, we felt so connected to each other and also to her, and the photos she captured are EPIC. OF COURSE we booked Courtney and Jackson for our wedding. They were so loved and adored by everyone at our wedding. Everyone kept talking about how cool our photographers were! Courtney and Jackson were so thorough and made sure they captured absolutely every single part of our wedding day, even more so the parts that were so meaningful and special to us. They added NO stress to the day at all, they worked with our coordinator flawlessly, knew our timeline in and out, and also- which I realized is such an important skill- they knew when to divert from the timeline in order to prioritize a special moment that was happening, and make sure it wasn't interrupted for the sake of the "timeline." I am so in awe over the photos, and am totally able to relive the best day of my life because of how much and how well they captured it. I am so thankful to have had them at our wedding. You end up spending your entire wedding day with your photographers, which is a super huge deal- and it is so worth it to book not just great visionaries, but amazing friends that will celebrate with you the entire day, bringing you back to the moment- helping you pause, take it in, look around, and be present in the moment. Where do I even begin? Courtney and Jackson make the ultimate wedding photography team! Not only are they incredibly friendly and professional, you can tell they do this for a living because they are truly passionate in what they do. From our early interactions, we knew we found a gem and had to book them for our wedding in San Diego. Even though we were running a bit late for our first look (too much champagne… oops), Courtney and Jackson kept calm and worked swiftly without making us feel rushed. We also scheduled our family group photos before the ceremony, which was the biggest source of our anxiety in our wedding planning. Herding a group of 60+ Chinese family members in some kind of organized fashion is personally not MY idea of a fun time, but Courtney and Jackson took on the challenge with a positive attitude! In the end, we finished family photos EARLY, and even took advantage of the golden hour lighting for a few more shots of just the couple. We haven't received our full wedding album yet (it's only been a few days since our wedding), but the sneak peek shots we received (the same night as our wedding… amazing!) were STUNNING. Our friends and family only have nice things to say about Courtney and Jackson. Their work speaks for itself and is well worth the investment. Photoflood was hands down our best wedding decision, aside from choosing each other, of course. ;-)

We booked Courtney for a very last minute Thursday city hall ceremony maybe 4-5 weeks before the date. Let me tell you. She was kind, helpful and professional from beginning to end. We arranged everything prior to the day of the ceremony entirely through email (Courtney responded to every single one promptly). She gave great recommendations for a makeup artist (Fiona of Urban Beauty Loft was excellent if you're looking!) that I eventually went with. She was an attentive listener and suggested many suitable locations for an outdoor shoot by the water after the ceremony. I felt completely at ease going into the day with Courtney, because she obviously knows her stuff! On the day of, Courtney basically played a coordinator AND a photographer for our group of 13, since none of us had been inside the SF City Hall before. She knew exactly how the process went (checking in, signing paperwork, ceremony at the rotunda, etc.) and where to go, and graciously guided our entire group through the next couple of hours. She knew where to get the best shots and which route to take to beat other groups to the gorgeous balcony on the top floor. Courtney seriously knows this beautiful building inside out! Also, her photography directions were full of humor and joy, we felt completely comfortable being lovey-dovey while she captured it on camera (and I think it shows, see photos). We took photos with our family and friends after the ceremony, and then sent everyone off for a break while we took a few more couple shots. She was so great with everybody, from our parents to our 2yr old niece, it felt like Courtney was part of our group. To end the day, we drove to Chrissy Fields for our second location (per Courtney's suggestion). It was freezing! But so worth it. We got lucky and caught some beautiful light right around Golden Hour. I don't know how we accomplished all that within 3 hours but I'm pretty sure Courtney had 90% to do with it. At the end of the day, husband and I talked about how much we loved that Courtney felt like a friend we invited who also happens to be really good at taking photos. If you're looking for a wedding photographer, look no further, we wholeheartedly recommend her!

You cannot go wrong with choosing Courtney and Jackson for any of your photography needs! My husband and I live in NYC but were having our wedding in the Bay Area. We had a couple of phone calls with potential photographers, and immediately we connected with Courtney. She was so personable, friendly yet professional on the phone that I felt like I had known her forever, and knew that we would feel comfortable with her behind the camera photographing us on our wedding day. Even through the phone you could tell how passionate and enthusiastic Courtney was about her work. She was genuinely so excited for us and we had the absolute best time working with her. We did an engagement shoot in Big Sur, and Courtney and Jackson were gracious enough to drive us down and spent hours with us making sure we had the most gorgeous pictures! And for our wedding day, I cannot even speak of how wonderful it was to have Courtney and Jackson there by our sides. Even with a last minute venue change, C & J were so professional, responsive and I had no worry that they would still deliver the most beautiful pictures even without knowing the venue. We were not wrong, and sure enough all of the pictures we have seen so far have blown me away. We haven’t even received our full wedding album yet, but each picture captures all of the love, the joy we had with our friends and family, and all the handmade details we had at our wedding. I cannot even begin to say how many compliments we have had about our photos, and C&J really deserve all the credit. They are the most hardworking, loving, passionate and fun people you’ll get to work with, and you will not regret having them with you on any occasion.

TLDR; Courtney and Jackson will be the best decision you make for your wedding , beside marrying your significant other. They really know how to take care of their clients and their work is exceptional. I first started following Courtney on instagram in college and knew right away I wanted her to be my photographer. Her ability to capture the love and joy between people is amazing - she should really be called a storyteller! I contacted her right when we got engaged to ask her a couple of questions and she was kind enough to meet me for coffee. Courtney is one of the most genuine, sweet, funny, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable people ever and she is not greedy with her information! After this, we booked her and Jackson right away! For our engagement shoot, we really wanted to get out of San Francisco and opted for Oregon. My fiance and I had never been to Oregon, so we heavily relied on Courtney for the destination. She went above and beyond as we told her our basic requirements and she began researching right away. Before our shoot, she sent us tips and tricks and what to expect in a lovely pdf. This was the first time my fiance and I had gotten a professional shoot and we were nervous and super awkward but luckily, Courtney and Jackson are good at helping people feel relaxed and also at directing. It was nice that they gave us direction but not too much as to allow our personalities to come out. The location we went to was super windy and cold but Courtney and Jackson were able to adapt and adjust us and make us feel comfortable as the wind would blow my hair all over mine and my fiance's face and I would be shivering from the cold temps, and on top of that, they were such good sports about the cold and wind! I was excited and anxious to see how the photos turned out and luckily, the day after, Courtney sent us sneak peeks, which I so so sooooo appreciated. When she was done with the editing, she sent us an online gallery of our photos so we can choose the pics we love which is so convenient! Of course, we absolutely LOVE every photo and the hardest part was choosing which ones to use! We love Courtney and Jackson and they treat every single person they meet like family. They are so gifted with people and truly care about their craft.

Courtney and Jackson were the BEST decision we made for our wedding. They made us feel special and relaxed throughout the entire process. We never felt like we had to be anybody but us and they captured some moments that surprised us. We saw a few photos they got of us that made us cry with tears of joy knowing how special that moment was for us and they stopped time for us each time we look at it. All the feels from the light being captured to emotions streaming within us is felt through the photos they took on our special day!! We feel as if we made some special friends on our wedding day!!

I couldn’t be happier how our wedding turned out and Photoflood played a huge part. I contacted Courtney and Jackson for a surprise proposal photo shoot. They were quick to respond, and were the best to work with. With relatively short notice in my planning, they provided me with location recommendations, and some samples to help me decide on the exact location for where I wanted to propose. On the day of the proposal, they captured all our emotions, and the beautiful scenery. I honestly had never done a photoshoot before, but Courtney and Jackson were so great at helping us to pose, and stay comfortable. We were blown away by all of the photos! My wife and I live in Seattle and while Courtney and Jackson live in the Bay Area, they were more than willing to come up for our engagement shoot! They did their due diligence for areas to shoot and different styles to shoot in. They are incredibly professional, timely and very adaptable - a set of qualities that were simply innate in their being. There wasn't a single point in the months leading up to the wedding where I was worried about their performance. I fully trusted their abilities and holy hell did they deliver. We were referred to Courtney and Jackson by a friend who had booked them for their engagement session/wedding and immediately fell in love with their eye for gorgeous and dramatic backdrops. We were able to schedule an appointment with them but don't think we needed it! The appointment felt more like we were just catching up with old friends and we immediately knew we wanted to book them. Courtney and Jackson are just genuine and down to earth people that make you feel comfortable. They are so sweet and really do their best to work with your circumstances. We opted to also do an engagement session and Courtney was a dream through the process. She helped narrow down locations based off of the vibe I was going for, and I absolutely loved how it turned out. We hired Courtney to do a post-wedding bridal shoot. Somehow our wedding photographer didn't get any photos of just me (the bride). I was so bummed when I realized that after the wedding, but then so happy I had the chance to work with Courtney to fix the oversight. She helped us find a way to do the bridal shoot as well as some fun pictures of my husband and I. Her energy was so fun and light and caring and made the whole experience incredibly joyful. She made me feel like a million dollars - both in my wedding dress and later with my husband for a more casual shoot. I loved how many different spots she picked out for photos and how she struck such a nice balance between giving us suggestions on how to pose and letting things happen more naturally. The photos we got were above and beyond - both in number and in quality. I would recommend Courtney to every bride. She'll get you great photos and she'll fill your special day with such happiness.

Courtney and Jackson were wonderful. First of all, they take BEAUTIFUL photos, especially if the venue is scenic. Our engagement photos and wedding pictures were both outdoors, and they knew how to make the natural light work the best in every shot. Also, they were amazing with portraits and detail shots. They were always happy and excited which helped keep our energy up through the day. We would highly recommend!!

Courtney and Jackson are an amazing team and would not have wanted anyone else but them to capture our special day. They're extremely personable and made us feel like celebrities by the end of it all, even for myself being incredibly camera-shy. They were able to capture us in such a natural and flattering way that I didn't know was possible. Courtney is an extremely skilled, attentive, and creative photographer. But she is also SO MUCH more than that! Throughout the wedding, she was our unofficial, do-anything-and-everything-without-us-even-asking, personal assistant. And from the very beginning, her care and dedication to us was obvious. We had met up at my place before driving down to San Luis Obispo. I had just brought everything out to the driveway when she arrived and went inside frantically triple checking every room to make sure I didn’t forget anything. When I came out, to my surprise, every single bag, box, and decoration (including a giant wooden welcome sign) was loaded into my car. From that point on, I knew we were in good hands. My wife and I have large families. On my side alone, I have 26 cousins and 20 aunts and uncles. And of course, every single one of them got in the way trying to take their own pictures during the family photo ops. Understanding their excitement and with a big smile, Courtney was exceptionally patient and kind towards our families, allowing them to take their photos first while still somehow managing to get all the shots she needed. My parents raved about her the next day. Choosing a photographer is one of the most important decisions in wedding planning. Trusting someone to capture all the memories on the best day of your life is daunting, and for many of our married friends, the photographer was a source of stress and regret. Courtney is devoted, cares for her clients, and delivers incredible photos. We highly recommend her!

Photoflood Studio is quite honestly the best. Courtney did my college graduation photos and my engagement photos, which naturally made her my first pick for the wedding! I made the right choice in choosing Photoflood; she and her partner sent us the best wedding pictures ever. The best part is that she is a natural at making you feel comfortable while she does it. Prior to getting engaged or even thought about being engaged, I’d come across these beautiful (and awesome) photos on Instagram, and most of them, somehow, was by a certain photographer, “cyeetheworld”. Something about the photos always drew me to their Insta page – maybe it was their story, maybe it was the clients, maybe it was their amazing work, or their personalities as photographers and individuals that shined through the beautiful photos. Fast forward a couple of years, it was time to find photographers for our wedding. Our planner had asked what kind of photography we liked. We didn’t know, or even if we did, we didn’t know how to describe it. So we sent our planner a few inspo, and imagine my surprise when one of the vendors recommended to us was Courtney and Jackson of Photoflood Studio! Our first meeting with Courtney and Jackson was nothing short of amazing. Not only did they make us feel at ease, their down to earth personalities paired with their calm and professional manners made us feel like we were catching up with our long lost friends. Courtney and Jackson gave us the highlights of every moment from the wedding – they beautifully captured our wedding day from every intimate detail, to every smile and tear – and if the sneak peeks brought so much joy and happy tears, I can’t imagine all the feels we’re going to experience when we receive the real thang! Without a doubt, Courtney and Jackson are hands down amazing wedding photographers. You can tell through their portfolio that they are talented and skillful, but with them, it isn’t just having your photos being taken; it is truly an experience. Courtney and Jackson were able to beautifully capture both our engagement and our wedding! They braved the freezing cold during our engagement shoot and were so encouraging during the shoot despite the freezing temperatures. Courtney (and Jackson) at Photoflood was great. I don't wear tuxes often, so it always feels awkward when I do, but Courtney and Jackson made me feel at ease and comfortable in my own skin. She's also very creative and has a great eye for composing a great shot. We took some shots in the parking lot that I wasn't sure would come out great, but they were some of the best shots taken.

Courtney and Jackson are the coolest, most down to earth folks you will ever meet to help make the stressful wedding planning process a little bit easier. From our casual first meet up at a boba joint to our engagement session where we had to chase the setting sun to our amazing wedding day, they were such a joy to be around. We started the day a little late (due to the guys taking so long to get ready!) but they were able to keep us on track without skipping a beat and we even finished our couple photos early and had some time to breathe before the reception began. Courtney was able to ease our nerves and help us look natural on camera and Jackson helped us deal with our insistent relatives with a huge smile the entire day. They were able to capture "US" and all the beautiful details of the wedding day including all the wonderful moments from our guests. We are so glad and blessed to have these two be a part of our special day!

Courtney and Jackson of Photoflood Studio were single handedly some of my favorite people I have ever hired; from our first Engagement Session together, I immediately felt like they weren't just vendors, but almost like I had just hired friends. They made us feel so comfortable together, my husband and I used to photograph weddings together so I thought we would be naturals, but didn't know how unnatural it would feel to be photographed for 2 hours straight. Courtney was fantastic at making us relax and she was full of tricks to make us look naturally candid even when we really weren't. I had guests and family talking about how nice and courteous they were, and they not only took amazing photos of me and my bridal party, but the guest photos and the candids are amaaaaazing. I have also never successfully been able to get my parents to take a decent photo together and they somehow captured the most beautiful image of the two of them! I am writing this about them after having just spent the last 2 hours looking through all my photos again, I really just can't get enough of them.. After having heard (and seen) some of the wedding photo disasters some of my friends have experienced in the past, I would hands down recommend Photoflood studio to everyone and anyone looking for a set of skilled, personable, talented professionals. Whether you are in the Bay Area or here in San Diego, they are well worth every penny and you should stop looking, because they truly are the perfect vendor.

I've been following Photoflood Studio since back in 2014, while I was dating my now husband, giving him hints here and there that if we were to ever tie the knot I'd absolutely love for them to photograph our special day.
