Planning a wedding in a city 500 miles away made interviewing photographers and vendors challenging. We didn’t meet Jeannie in person until our engagement photo shoot, but our initial phone conversation went so well that this wasn’t ever a point of stress – her skill and professionalism were clear, her style and photography interest matched our own, and she was so genuine and easy to talk to that we knew we’d be comfortable in front of her camera.
Throughout the planning process Jeannie was always happy to answer any questions we had, from how would the time of day or DJ lighting impact photos, to how do we discourage cell phone photography during our ceremony.
Both during engagement photos and the wedding, Jeannie consistently went above and beyond the call – from staying late in the rain to capture a stunning nighttime engagement photo (it was a blast!) to sprinting across my parent’s yard to capture unplanned moments, like my brother test-firing a model rocket. We later launched the rocket as part of the reception and Jeannie captured it right as it lifted off from the launch pad, with my husband and I beautifully framed to the side – a photo only possible for a split second!
Throughout the wedding, her presence was never distracting or intrusive. She was always where we needed her to be and never interfered with us experiencing the moments of the day. We had complete trust in her and truly enjoyed her presence! She has a unique instinct for beautifully capturing meaningful interactions, and has the technical expertise to accompany this talent. It was a wonderful experience working with Jeannie and we can’t recommend her highly enough!!

Prices are reasonable compared to other area photographers, and you get a lot for what you are spending! Additionally, the turnaround time between taking the pictures and receiving them is great! or!!! Not only is her photography top-notch, it was extremely personal. We had a blast, laughing and finding photo locations around town. I was able to bring in props (including a 1970 Mercedes) and arrange any location I wanted. I can't wait to work with her again at my wedding!
