DO NOT USE PHOTOGRAPHY BY BLAIR!! In early April 2019, my mother-in-law paid a $765 deposit for photography services for her July 20, 2019 wedding, and a few days later, her fiance...
died in his sleep (three months and one week before the wedding). Photography by Blair has refused to issue her a refund for the deposit. He said the only way he would be able to issue a refund is if he books another client for the same day. A week before the wedding, we received notice that he has not booked another client for July 20 and therefore will not issue a refund. (Let's put aside the fact that I find it VERY hard to believe he can't book a Saturday wedding in northern Michigan with 3 months advance notice.) He is the ONLY vendor for the wedding that has kept the refund after the untimely death of my future father-in-law. Shame!
Note: This review does not have to do with Steven Blair Kopcki's photography skills as we do not know what he is capable of. This review discusses his skills as a human being rela...
ting to photography. Thank you for your time and may you have your wedding dreams come true. Read below for a story of love and loss and the photographer that wouldn't.
Imagine your perfectly planned day starting long before the actual nuptials arrived. Everything is planned, deposits are paid for and excitement is building...but then the unimaginable happens. You must break the terms of your contract. Not because you want to, oh God, not because you want to. But because your fiancé' suddenly dies in his sleep leaving you to pick up the pieces.
You start calling and emailing all your previously contracted vendors retelling the story over and over again of how the love of your life died and now you don't get your "Happily Ever After." Is there anything they can do to offer a refund or something? So many strangers have heard the sound of your voice cracking and tears being shed and all but one are tearing up with you, virtually holding your hand as they offer condolences, love, and refunds.
You are devastated beyond belief, broken beyond repair and all you are hoping for is a little kindness from someone who claims to put people first because his personal mantra is, "Love one another."
Love is the last thing that we found with this photographer. 3 months and 3 days prior to the destination wedding of my mom's dreams, her prince charming died. Both longing for their second chance at love and life-gone in an instant. Steven Blair Kopacki refuses to refund the deposit because he could not fill the date. Anyone from Michigan knows that summer on that Island is more than popular. Did he try? We'll never know. We understand that contracts were signed, but this photographer has NO heart. He does not live by his personal mantra, "Love one another." Do not hire this man. What if you face the unimaginable, the unthinkable, the unbelievable? He will offer condolences and kind words, but he does not have a heart.
Steven Blair was by far the best vendor for our money on the island. He was a "full service" kind of guy...made us feel comfortable and encouraged realistic and natural but artisti...
