Working with Brea and her team (Jim and Joanne) for our engagement and wedding photos was such an amazing experience. From the start, Brea was incredibly easy to work with—super fl...
exible, responsive, and genuinely invested in getting to know us better. In the initial meeting with her, she was very clear about her pricing and process, leading to no surprises when it came to budgeting and planning. For our engagement photos, she even worked with my then fiancée and a close friend to plan a surprise Ghostbusters themed moment during our engagement shoot, which was both hilarious and indicative of our relationship. The photos captured our personalities perfectly while still feeling romantic and meaningful.
Brea is also just insanely talented. She handled everything from soft outdoor light to tricky indoor lighting (including the Maryland Center for History & Culture, where we got married) with total confidence. Her photos strike that perfect balance between classic portraits and candid, in the moment shots. She somehow caught every little detail, including decor, glances, quiet emotions, and then delivered beautifully edited images that we’ll treasure forever.
On top of all that, Brea was such a calming presence on our wedding day. She made us feel comfortable right away, which really shows in the photos. She was professional through and through—on time, dressed perfectly for the day, and great at keeping things moving without ever feeling stressed. Knowing she had everything under control let us actually relax and enjoy our wedding, confident that all the important moments were being captured by someone who truly cared.
I want to give a special thanks to her second photographer, Jim, who teamed up with my Best Men and me the morning before the wedding. He captured many candid moments that truly highlighted our joy during a part of the day I personally thought would be one of the more uneventful (eating lunch and casually hanging out before the wedding). Jim is also an exceptional photographer, leaving us with a beautiful collection of memories from my own part of the day.
After both sessions, Brea was quick to provide a small collection of our photos only days later, before providing us with the full collection of photographs within two weeks of the engagement shoot and the wedding day. We made many strong decisions for our big day, and hiring Photography by Brea was definitely one of our best.
HIRE HER. Not only is she a dream to work with, but she takes the most incredible wedding photos we have ever seen—photos that truly capture what the moment felt like. I don’t know...
if she can take a non-impressive photo; each one is remarkable (and we should know! We got over 1500 back, and it's almost impossible to narrow them down to which ones should go into the wedding album!) Brea and her team captured every little reaction, emotion, and connection and, looking back through them, we can relive those moments all over again. The photos were not simply cookie-cutter, generic wedding pictures (although she was also able to take the most beautiful, traditional family photos, and we love those too) -- they are honestly just masterpieces. Everyone we show the pictures to are blown away. Her photos somehow perfectly capture the story of the best day of our lives. If there is any decision we are most grateful for in the wedding planning process, it is hiring Brea as our photographer.
More Than Photos—Brea Told Our Story
I met Brea when she photographed my best friend’s wedding, and I knew right away that she was the photographer I wanted for my own. Brea is war...
m, personable, and took the time to truly get to know us as a couple so that our photos reflected what mattered most to us. She was incredibly responsive to every request, creative and adaptive in bringing our vision to life, and somehow managed to capture every big moment and quiet detail with artistry and authenticity. We were stunned when she sent us photos that very night! Her speed is matched only by the breathtaking quality of her work. Choosing Brea and her team was one of the best decisions we made. She didn’t just document our day, she told our story.
We are so grateful we chose Photography by Brea for our wedding! Brea and her incredible team were an absolute dream to work with from start to finish. Not only are they exceptiona...
lly talented and creative, but they also kept everything running smoothly and on schedule throughout the day.
From the very beginning, Brea was organized, professional, and so kind. Her team’s calm and upbeat energy put us and our families completely at ease in front of the camera, and you could truly see how hard they worked to ensure every detail was captured beautifully. There were so many good photos, it took us hours to pick a favorite for thank you cards.
If you’re looking for a photographer who combines creativity, warmth, and an incredible work ethic, look no further. We truly can’t recommend Brea and her team highly enough!

or capturing authentic moments that convey the love between a couple. She was always super communicative and professional and provided an amazingly quick turnaround time for photos. On the wedding day itself, she was organized and efficient, able to cover all of the shots we wanted without taking us away from the action. Her assistants (shoutout Jim) were so friendly and talented. We were in very good hands. We will treasure the photos she took for the rest of our lives. We feel like we've not only gained a go-to photographer, but also a friend!
1000/10 would recommend Brea. Not only is she an amazing photographer (pictures say it all), but she is a fantastic human being. Every part of the wedding planning process was made...
easier by her expertise and communication. She even FLEW to Kentucky from MD for our engagement pictures to get a better sense of us as a couple and where we live. My bridal party absolutely raved about how easy it was for her to get the most sentimental pictures. She worked seamlessly with our venue and respected the pictures and timeline we asked. I cannot rave more about Brea. She ROCKS!!
Brea captured our wedding perfectly! From the start, she was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. She made ...
us feel comfortable in front of the camera and brought such a relaxed, down-to-earth energy to both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day. We can’t wait to see the full gallery—just from the previews, it’s clear she captured so many beautiful, candid moments! Brea is talented, professional, and an all-around lovely human to have by your side on such an important day.

ng to know her while she took beautiful pictures of us during our engagement shoot.
The day of the wedding she did incredible work taking stunning pictures that my husband and I will cherish for the rest of our lives.
She also has a photo booth which was great for capturing additional memories with our friends and family.
The photo albums we purchased as part of our package were such an easy process. Brea helped us every step of the way to create a keepsake for ourselves and our parents that is simply incredible.
We cannot recommend her and her team enough. Thank you Brea for capturing our special day!

ne particularly skilled to capture our indoor, elegant evening wedding. We could not have gotten luckier with coming across Photography by Brea. First, she's a phenomenal communicator. She takes the time to meet with each couple personally and her packages include an engagement shoot to get to know one another before the wedding. This was an INCREDIBLE day. Brea is fun, understands and subsequently attempts to alleviate the pressure of the day, and becomes a friend to you and your people. This made such a difference in our pictures, in how my partner and I could interact with one another, and the efficiency to capture all the details to tell our story.
Brea's skill translates well amongst her team of photographers and assistants (Jim and Courtney), who were all incredibly professional, kind, and efficient on wedding day. I will always remember our day for her compassion, and attention to detail - it made all the difference. If you hope for your wedding to be absolutely picture perfect, and one that you can relive through pictures, then look no further than Brea.
We used Brea for our wedding in August 2023 at AVAM. We were looking for a photographer that focused more on candids and capturing the natural moments, and we were really happy wit...
h our decision to go with Brea! Brea was really communicative and flexible with us leading up to the wedding. Brea and her partners are really familiar with the venue which I think really enhanced our pictures. Brea and Tommy spent the day with the bride and groom parties, respectively during the getting ready parts and did a great job capturing those vibes as well. Brea got us a few pictures really quickly after the wedding and got us the full picture gallery really quickly.
Our personal preference when it came to the album was for something a bit more old school and while the physical album (leather cover and hardstock paper) is nice, the picture layout and design felt a bit more modern/digital.
All in all, we'd highly recommend using Brea if you're looking for a down to earth, reliable, professional and awesome photographer.
Your search is OVER, book Brea! Brea did such an amazing job and aside from the end product being outstanding, the process was SO smooth. My big ask was to be quick with posed phot...
os so we could get to the important parts (partying, obviously), and she made it happen seamlessly. I can literally feel the emotions in every photo. Aside from being an absolute artist and magician with a camera, she is so professional and kind. I can't say it enough - stop looking, you've already found the best there is with Brea.
Setting aside for a moment the fact that Brea has been one of my close friends for 12 years, and I've had the honor of watching her grow her business from the time when it was just...
a dream of hers, Brea is the person you want photographing your wedding. Period. Seriously. She cares about her couples and brings the eNeRgY. And I don't just mean her contagious vivaciousness and awesome sense of humor, I mean the feeling you get being around her that she really, truly loves what she does and she's there for you. Watching her "behind the scenes" so to speak and following her work for the last decade, I know it's just how she is. Throughout the process, Brea answered my questions to help me feel comfortable and confident about what to expect on the big day. There were even logistical decisions my husband and I made for the flow of the day based on Brea's advice that made getting ready and our first look flow more smoothly for us, our wedding party, and our guests. Let me tell you, this woman puts together one beautifully organized wedding timeline. Also, the site she uses to send your gallery makes it super easy to save, share, download, all the things you want to do with your photos. And I mean, the photos really speak for themselves. Brea and her team record the big hallmark moments and also the little moments that are easy to miss or forget but are part of what truly make up a wedding day. What I love about our wedding photos is that they look like no one else's wedding photos -- they are photos of _our_ wedding, capturing the unique love and spirit of us and _our_ community of family and friends. Looking at our photos helps me remember not only what happened on that beautiful whirlwind of a day but also how I _felt,_ which is the thing I never want to forget. Brea and her team captured our love, the story of our wedding day, and so much joy and laughter and happy tears. Our wedding was that much more magical for their being part of it, and I can't say 'thank you' enough times for the beautiful memories I have to look at and cherish.
Oh, and definitely spring for the photo booth. It was a blast, and you get to see all the photos from your friends after the fact, and it's a riot. You and your guests will both love it.
Where do I begin? My wife and I were absolutely blown away by her and her team! When we first met, Brea went to great lengths to get to know us individuals and as a couple. She ask...
ed us specific questions about our story, our personalities, and our vision for the wedding. When she described her photography style as "photojournalism" with an emphasis on capture moments, we couldn't have been more excited! Suffice it to say, she and her team did not disappoint! Our engagement shoots (which were two fold) included shots at a local gym and Baltimore's scenic waterfront. When our friends saw the photos, they were blown away. In fact, they called her the "light master" becuase she has total control of light. This is important becuase my wife and I were concerned about the variance in our complexion. However, Brea's work spoke for itself! She is totally a "master of light"! Leading up to and on the day of the wedding, Brea made sure we had relevant permits for photography. She made sure she was clear on the schedule. She was extremely detail oriented and timely. Trust me when I tell you that her and her team do not miss a single moment - from my ugly crying, romantic glimpses, to goofy laughter, she is an invisible artiste! In short, there are not enough words. In many ways, Brea was not just a photographer, not even just a photojournalist, but became a trusted extended member of our friendship circle.
I asked a lot of Brea and her team, and boy did they deliver! Brea took the photos for my 12/2022 wedding, and I don’t think I could’ve asked for someone better for documenting the...
big day. It was so easy to interact with Brea, her fiancée, and her assistant on the day of the wedding and they made sure they got all the photos I asked for and more. Casual intimate moments, getting in the thick of it on the dance floor, and those gorgeous stylistic photos that really showcase Brea’s talent as a photographer. They made us feel comfortable and captured memories I will treasure forever. If you want a photographer that will go above and beyond to get you amazing, gorgeous photos as well as fun and epic shots you have to pick Brea.

lexible, and she was so much fun to be around during the engagement shoot and wedding day. Which was essential since she was one of the people we probably spent the most time with day of the wedding. And not only are her photos beautiful, she sent them fast! We will absolutely be calling Brea next time we need a photographer.

d emotion makes it easy for us to remember all our feelings we experienced on our wedding day. We cannot thank her enough for the incredible experience.

an artistic eye with a sense of journalism and the result is a beautiful story! My daughter picked her from several others because they clicked! Brea just got them both and her enthusiasm shows in the forever images that were caught in time.
Brea is AMAZING. Matt and I are what I guess you can call a "COVID couple" who ended up changing our wedding date three times and our venue. Brea met us back in December of 2019 an...
d stuck with us through it all! She is fun, creative, easy to work with, responsive and a really cool person. Our goal when selecting vendors was to make sure we felt 100% comfortable with them so that we could be ourselves - as soon as we met Brea, we knew that would be the case. We used Brea for our engagement photos, another mini engagement session with our pup, a boudoir shoot and now our wedding. Every single event was captured beautifully. We look forward to using Brea for life events in the future. She is the BEST - you will not be disappointed.
Brea is absolutely phenomenal. She captured so much beautiful and raw emotion from throughout the day, that brought us to tears just looking back at the pictures. Her photos will...
leave you speechless. Brea's specialty is really capturing those candid moments throughout the day. She works hard to make you comfortable acting natural around the camera and it really pays off when you see photos of moments that you didn't even realize you wanted on camera.
Her team is just as talented as she is. We had Jim and Courtney helping for our wedding, and the three of them worked so seamlessly together. Brea even stepped in to help, above and beyond the expectations of a photographer when we needed a quick hand with hair touch-up, wedding gown buttons and flowers.
To sum up Brea in a nutshell, our best man sent us a note after seeing the final photos saying simply, "thanks for reminding me how bad our own wedding photographer was." Brea has been with us to capture our proposal, our engagement photos and now our wedding day. We can't wait to work with her again one day, and know she will be our family photographer for life.

imore Museum of Industry in 2022. Brea and her team fit right in with our guests. Her team put us and our guests at ease, capturing all of the perfect moments without interfering with the flow of the day’s events. Her pictures blew us away!! Brea captured such emotion and vibrancy in every shot. Both her planned and candid photos were absolutely stunning and leave us with memories to last a lifetime. We would highly recommend her and look forward to future life events that we can ask Brea to capture.
Original review after our first minimony in 2021:
We hired Brea to capture our big wedding day in 2022. She has been a dream to work with - highly communicative, and brimming with creative energy. It is clear the Brea loves what she does! She offered to capture our “minimony” this year and we are completely in awe of the wonderful shots she created and the heartfelt moments that were captured. We highly recommend Brea and can’t wait to work with her again next year!
I'll probably run out of characters writing this as I can't say enough good things about Brea Shaw- as a person and a photographer. Your special day is one thing, but getting to re...
live it over and over and over again after the fact is another. I was a COVID bride- from 12/31/20 to 12/31/21 to "screw it, let's just get hitched! (1/1/21)." Every time we had a change of plans, Brea was locked and loaded, flexible and ready to go. Over the course of the last 2.5 years, she essentially agreed to give up 3 holidays for each time we had rescheduled. When we called her with 4 days notice of wanting to get married, there was no panic, no stress, just, "Hey, let's hop on the phone and discuss what you're looking to do and we'll make it happen!" Whether you're eloping or planning the elaborate celebration of your dreams, I cannot recommend Brea enough. When we look back on our pictures, we can feel ourselves in that moment... at our venue, surrounded by our family, drenched in love because that's how well she captured it. Brea is a kind soul with a creative mind. Rainy wedding day? Brea is ready- in fact, I think she secretly loves the curveballs and it shows in her ability to photograph magical moments with not so cooperative weather. In this world, you get what you pay for. And when you pay for photography by Brea, you have properly invested in arguably one of the most important components of your special day. If it's not Brea, it's not for me (or my husband)!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our engagement and wedding; we feel so fortunate to have found Brea. When searching for our engagement photographer, we looked ...
for pictures that were warm and charming (not stiff poses and/or blinding bright skies). What made Brea stand out from the rest was her portfolio, a literal showcase of those small moments people often miss, but, when caught on camera, can be treasured for a lifetime.
During our engagement session Brea did a tremendous job showing us how to pose in a natural way that would create beautiful pictures. After seeing our early morning cherry blossom pictures we knew there was no one else we wanted to photograph our wedding.
Fortunately, Brea was willing to travel for our Colorado wedding. Unfortunately, because of COVID we had to scrap our original wedding plans in Colorado for a “minimony” in DC at the last minute. With four weeks before our wedding, Brea understood completely and willing to work with us, even whipping up a new wedding timeline now that we no longer had our day-of planner. Brea encouraged us to be our “weird selves” on the big day; she caught some of our favorite moments, ones that reflect our personalities. Throughout the day Brea did a great job not disrupting these moments as she weaved in and out with her camera. She felt like one of our wedding guests … who just happens to take amazing pictures.
What we found in Brea was not only a photographer (and new friend) to capture this chapter of our lives, but someone to capture the rest of our lives. In addition to wedding ceremonies she does family photos as a day in the life, capturing an average day of a family. As we plan to grow our family over the years, we know that we will continue to hire her and look forward to a home with a gallery wall filled with pictures she took of our family from the beginning.
Have you seen her photos? Need I say more?
We hired Brea before we even had our date or our venue. That's how impressed we were with her photography. She lives in Maryland and we ...
are in Virginia so we skyped her for an initial meet and greet- SPOILER: She's SO nice!!! We did our engagement photos with her, where she turned rain into an insanely gorgeous added element to our shoot!
Fast forward to March 2020 and COVID hits. We were scrambling to postpone. Brea was extremely responsive and helpful! She made a shared calendar for her clients so we could continuously see what days she had available! She made postponing a serious breeze. For our wedding day, September 13 2020, COVID was (and is) still very much a thing. Brea and her team wore masks and distanced as much as possible while still capturing the most incredible, beautiful shots. She takes safety seriously and is part of the reason no one got sick at our wedding. I can honestly say I feel like I walked out of this experience with a friend. Her work speaks for itself, but just in case you had any doubts, ditch them immediately and hire her. You won't regret it.
From the very beginning of our vendor search, we knew we wanted Brea to do our photos. We love her bright use of color, ability to capture special moments as well as do amazing por...
traits. She far exceeded our expectations. From the first meeting she made us feel comfortable and we had so much fun getting to know her. After Covid changed our plans, she was SO flexible and accommodating and supportive which helped us so much. After the wedding, we got some sneak peaks that night and the rest of the photos came so quickly, we barely had to wait. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience and would use her again in a heartbeat.
We cannot recommend Brea enough. She came highly recommended to us by our friend who is in the wedding business. After a quick look at her work, we knew we wanted her as the photog...
rapher for our wedding. You can tell by her pictures that Brea not only knows how to capture the “standard” wedding shots, but also captures the emotions and little moments that really make a wedding.
Not only does Brea take absolutely stunning photos, but also she is an absolute joy to work with. For our engagement pictures, Brea (and Tommy, who is also incredible) hiked with their photography equipment on the Billy Goat trail near Great Falls. They found beautiful spots along the hike to take our pictures; the pictures were stunning, and better than we imagined. By the end of the shoot, we were sad to see them leave because we had such a fun time hanging out with them. Needless to say, we knew we made the right choice in a photographer, and were excited for her to take pictures for our big wedding. Then, the pandemic hit and we made the difficult decision to change our large wedding to a micro wedding with 16 people. Brea was nothing but professional and understanding of our situation, and was so helpful in planning a last minute micro wedding. Even on the day of the wedding, my mom joked that since we decided not to have a wedding party there, Brea became my honorary maid of honor. She not only took pictures, but also helped me get ready – She is honestly just an incredible person.
We have already planned to use her for our postponed larger celebration, and even joke that if we cannot use her for that, we will use her in the future for her life photography. Even my family told me how wonderful she was to work with and how happy they were that we chose Brea to be our photographer. We are so grateful to her for capturing these important moments in our lives!
Brea is an amazing photographer who I have watched travel and see amazing things through her camera. She has an incredible eye and perspective. Her ability to capture the pivotal...
moment when an emotion explodes in a photo is something I absolutely love love love about her photographs. After knowing Brea for many years, it was FINALLY my turn to get married! Brea was the perfect fit. She has a creative eye, calm presence, and incredibly driven to capture the moments in between that are so fleeting. She captured our wedding and engagement so perfectly. Each photo tells a story. Every time she clicked her shutter, she froze some of the most exciting moments in our life thus far. The photographs she captured bring us back to our wedding day. Each person is represented SO perfectly. There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful and creative Brea is as a photographer.
My husband and I had Brea & Tommy as our wedding photographers and we were SO glad we did! Brea & Tommy are absolutely wonderful and extremely talented people to work with. We pic...
ked them because of their ability to both capture real-moment journalistic shots as well as glamour/portrait shots. Brea is very responsive (which you’ll appreciate even more as the wedding gets closer!) and organized (as evident even in her online payment & scheduling process as well as the day-of timeline she put together that I could easily share with our family members/bridal party so they knew when they needed to be where).
Even my mom commented on Brea’s professionalism & calming presence on the day-of and everyone that has seen our pictures told us our photographers are amazing artists! When we received the full gallery shortly after the wedding, I had a few favors/requests - Brea was so patient & kind and thoroughly/promptly addressed them.
Their photos capture so much emotions and will make you relive your wedding day every time you look at them! If you’re looking for wedding photographers for your big day, stop looking and go with Brea & Tommy!
Brea actually did my brother-in-law's wedding photography, and after seeing their album, we knew we had to book her whenever we started planning. Her work is stunning, she is so cr...
eative, and you will get the most gorgeous photos on your big day. She was so great to work with that day, making sure we got every shot we wanted, including a VERY last minute first look with the best man. Could not have made a better decision for our wedding photographer.
I first saw Brea's photos long before my husband and I had even met, and knew that I wanted her to photograph my wedding. She is able to not only capture moments but actual emotion...
s. My husband, who does not like being photographed, remarked that the photographers were awesome and unintrusive - yet they were able to get these beautifully intimate shots. Brea is very easy going and at the same time she can move to get things done. I was not stressed about anything on my wedding day. I had a fantastic team of vendors who all worked really well together.
I honestly don't even know where to start. Brea (Best in Biz...aka...BIB) and Tommy were amazing! From the first day we met her we knew she was the one. We had to have her for what...
was going to be the most memorable day of our lives. Brea gave us more than just engagement and wedding photos, she gave us an experience that words would never be able capture. She made the planning process seamless, fun, full of laughter and meaningful conversation, and constantly speaking to life a vision we could not have dreamed about. Brea was more than just a photographer. I will never forget how she came in for the win and fixed not only a broken strap on my dress but multiple boutonnieres. When Brea says she is going to get something done, she means it....for both our engagement and wedding photos she delivered results in just days! I cant recommend Brea and Tommy enough, just know when you get them as photographers expect to make two awesome friends as well.
You're going to be choosing a lot of things for your wedding day. I feel like my wife and I heard at least half a dozen times during the planning process that we wouldn't remember ...
the food all that much and that we wouldn't remember what the music was like (aside from the first dance, duh) but that your photographer is one of, if not the most, important vendors you will decide upon. And from the beginning, Brea has made it very clear to us that we made the perfect choice in having her photograph our wedding.
Brea and her assistant Tommy are both exceptionally talented photographers. They are both great at capturing things "in the moment" as well as your standard wedding photos. Brea and Tommy are both incredibly easy to work with, and easily went from being able to blend into the background to capture all the small moments surrounding our wedding to being friendly and causal while my wife and I moved around with them to take our pictures. It really helped put the two of us at ease taking relaxed and "us" pictures.
I wouldn't hesitate to recomend Brea to anyone. They both went above and beyond in capturing the feeling and emotion of our wedding and gave us and our families something that we're going to treasure for years to come.
Thank you so much, Brea! You rock!
Best. Photos. Ever. Brea does wonderful work, and works with your personalities. Doesn’t put you in awkward poses, goes with the flow, and really captures “you” as a couple. She ha...
s a really artist eye for shooting in any environment, and is able to tale an average moment and find a new/exciting angle so every image is original.
Choosing Brea to capture our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. When we first met Brea in person she was very calm and relaxed and I loved that since I knew I would be...
a stressball the day of the wedding. Brea took a lot of time when we first met to get to know what us, what we were looking for, answer questions, and look through some of her work.
On our wedding day, Brea was able to get some amazing pictures. If I needed help with anything she would jump right in and help me. Durign the reception she was in the middle of the dance floor getting some of our favorite shots from the night.
After our wedding, Brea blogged some of our pictures less than a week later! We were fortunate to get married in December when it is not peak wedding season, but I still did not expect to see pictures that quickly.
Brea was amazing and I would highly encourage anyone looking for a photographer to use her!
Choosing Brea to capture the most important day of our lives (so far) was by far the best decision we made in our wedding planning process, and the single best investment we made i...
n our budgeting.
When I began my photographer search, I was overwhelmed with the sheer volume of choices we had, and the fact that so many of the pictures looked exactly the same. I knew I wanted amazing photos that captured all of the things we felt during our wedding day. Brea does just that.
Brea creates art; her photos capture moments in time, and looking back through our wedding pictures brings back the same emotions that we felt that day. They are full of life, happiness, and love, and I have no doubt that we will continue to "feel all the feels" looking through them when we are no longer newlyweds. Her pictures are not only beautiful, but they are meant to be hung on a wall for years and years to come.
Beyond taking beautiful pictures that belong in magazines (literally, you will feel like your pictures are straight out of a bridal magazine. Or a major motion picture. Starring you and your husband.), Brea was an incredibly calming presence during our wedding. I loved having her around because she cracked jokes with us, kept us on schedule, and made faces with me when all of the posed photos got on my nerves. Her team is incredibly professional and talented, and I would absolutely suggest adding a second shooter.
It's also worth noting that her turn around time is unparalleled within the industry; she overdelivered on both number of photos promised and delivery date for both our engagement session and our wedding. We literally had every wedding picture (edited!) less than two weeks after the ceremony. She also blogged 20+ pictures three days following the wedding, providing more than enough teasers to hold us over until the full gallery.
Basically, Brea is the best. She will be the very best investment you make for your wedding. You will treasure your photos forever, and enjoy every minute of working with her.

ing, and there's no way you'll find better than Brea! We met with her and clicked immediately, and we couldn't be more grateful to have had her be part of our special day! Her work is beautiful, she's incredibly professional, and such amazing value for the quality of work she produces and all the additional components she includes in her wedding packages. My husband absolutely HATES taking pictures, and still hasn't stopped singing Brea's praises for making him feel comfortable and confident on our wedding day. The team she brought with her to our wedding was impeccable! When you're working with Brea, you can be sure that you're getting the absolute best photographer (wedding or otherwise) that you could possibly find! I've perused my wedding photos every day since we got them literally JUST TWO WEEKS AFTER OUR WEDDING and am STILL obsessed with them! She's the best decision we made for our wedding, and I'll be forever grateful for the way she perfectly captured our wedding day.
My husband and I absolutely loved working with Breanna Shaw (Photography by Brea)!! We met with many photographers before deciding on Brea, and we are so happy we hired her! We cou...
ld tell from Brea’s professionalism, enthusiasm and energy that she would be a perfect fit to photograph our big day. Brea also did our engagement photos, and she was willing to come up to where we lived at the time (New York City) to take pictures of us at some of our favorite spots in the city. We are forever grateful for these photos from this special time in our lives.
Brea did a WONDERFUL job capturing our wedding day, from getting ready, to first look, ceremony, family portraits, and the reception/party. She managed to capture detail shots of all the extra decorations (i.e. signs, picture frames, guest book, cake, flowers, escort table, table numbers, etc. that my mom and I worked so hard on—my mom was so happy with these photos too!!), the scenery at the venue, and most of all, all of our wonderful family and friends who shared the day with us. We love all the goofy candids and different angles she used to get such a variety of photos throughout the day.
Brea’s assistant Jeana was so great too; she was able to organize everyone and made sure our family photos ran smoothly. She even helped me carry my train multiple times to keep it from dragging in the grass and mud! Both Brea and Jeana really made us feel comfortable, and they worked so well together! All of this shows in our photos!
The photography for our wedding was so important to me, and from the moment we spoke to Brea and saw samples of her work, I felt confident that she would be able to deliver amazing photographs from one of the most special days of our lives. She exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier with the photos we have to remember this day!
I wish I could give Brea more than 5 stars because that's just how amazing she was for our August wedding! Our engagement and wedding pictures are incredible and I know we will loo...
k back on them for many years to come. At our engagement session, Brea took the time to get to know us and was up to spontaneously take some pictures at the bar where my husband and I met. Brea has a creative eye and the results are one-of-a-kind pictures. We have received so many compliments on our pictures - everyone loves them! Brea was super accommodating with our large list of pictures that we wanted taken. Last but not least, she was SO responsive to e-mails and our questions (which my husband and I quickly learned was not always the case with wedding vendors). We would highly recommend Brea to everybody!
Brea did our engagement photos and I can't wait for her to shoot our wedding in September! I researched photographers for weeks and Brea is still the best I've seen by far. She tak...
es such creative shots and works with lighting in a way that you just don't see anywhere else. All of our friends commented that they were blown away by our engagement photos and loved that we weren't just standing there stiffly.
I'm also a very anxious person and Brea has always answered all my questions and emails so thoughtfully throughout this process. I would recommend Brea to anyone looking for a professional and just talented photographer!
Absolutely perfect. Very accommodating and flexible. Her artistic approach really makes for awesome pictures. And she captures moments you didn't think possible to capture. And she...
helped us with our honeymoon planning! You can't go wrong with her.

emories to life. Her eye for detail and composition is fantastic, and she brought ideas that complemented our theme and made our photos personal and unique.
On top of her terrific photography, Brea was a joy to work with. From our initial meeting (ask her about Back to the Future!) to our engagement session to the big day itself, she was incredibly friendly, sincere and, most importantly, fun! We shared many smiles and laughs despite shooting in both rain (engagement) and snow (wedding). She turned the final photos around incredibly quickly, and even followed up with a surprise package a few weeks later. She’s thoughtful, talented, and clearly enjoys her work. It’s a great combination and it makes for an amazing experience. Thank you Brea!
Looking back, from the first meeting we had with Brea, I honestly think I knew we were going to hire her on the drive back home. She was our first meeting though, so due diligence...
seemed in order. I feel like the photographer you hire for your wedding should have some personality similarities with you, if for nothing else than to ensure there is less awkwardness. Remember when you’re hiring a photographer how much time you’re going to spend with this person. For me, Brea became a friend. I’ve emailed her unrelated wedding things, posted on her wall, and even insisted on a selfie the day of. On top of being an amazingly awesome person, Brea is beyond talented at her job. We LOVE our photos! Not just our wedding photos, but our engagement photos! I have had people that were not able to attend our wedding or friends of people that did, tell me that they could feel the emotions of the day through the photos. If you’re considering Brea, she is amazing and you can’t go wrong! Seriously! Thank you Brea; you’re my favorite!
Your search for a photographer ends here! Brea is the best, hands down. Every encounter we had with her was so helpful from her e-mails, to meeting in person at her lovely studio, ...
discussing what is most important for the bride and groom, picking locations for our engagement photos, she will help you every step of the way. I can't begin to count how many family members and friends who said, "You had an amazing photographer." Brea has some major skill. She knows her stuff. She captures such emotion and joy in all of her photos. She knows all the angles to shoot, how to get the lighting just "perfect" and, as many in my wedding party said, "she is quick!" which is a good thing if it's hot outside and you have a large wedding party. Our photos are such high quality and so crisp. We ordered a beautiful canvas of our engagement photos from her and plan to order one from our wedding. Want to see a sneak peek of your wedding photos? Brea sends you a sneak peek the SAME DAY to hold you over until she posts her favorites on her blog. Within only a couple of days, Brea posts all her favorites on her blog. Everything is paced out perfectly. In our same wedding month, we received our wedding album online, organized into categories based on the pictures. Her website is super user friendly. She even has different resolutions that you can download based on where you are posting them. Brea- I'm so glad we worked with you! You are such a kind and caring person and one amazing photographer and friend!
We’re so happy we worked with Brea for our wedding in April! When we were first deciding what was important to us for the wedding, photography was at the top of my list. As soon as...
I saw Brea’s photos online, I knew her work was just what I wanted – her photos are so colorful and vibrant, and they really seemed to capture what is special about the couple. Her photos were exactly what I wanted, but what really made us choose her was how comfortable we felt with her. My husband and I are both introverts and we had a lot of stress during our wedding-planning process, so we were a little worried about how we’d be feeling on our wedding day. Brea was so calm and such a reassuring presence that we had no problem feeling comfortable with her, and we were able to just be ourselves and enjoy the moments on our wedding day that were all about the two of us. My favorite parts of the day were the parts where we were on our own to take photos, and the pictures of those parts of the day really show who we are in such a beautiful way. On top of that, Brea was so organized, responsive, and receptive to our ideas and concerns, and she quickly became a great resource for us in the planning process. She was very happy to work with us on what we wanted, from what we were looking for in specific photos to how to manage the day, and when the weather turned out to be bad, she made sure to find ways to make it work and was so reassuring. After the wedding, Brea gave us our photos just a week and a half later, and they are all so gorgeous and truly show us as we are as a couple!
When I found Brea's website last winter, I loved the variety of photos she posted from all of her sessions. What I loved even MORE was the personal touch she put into each session ...
posted on her blog, where she wrote a narrative of her time spent with the couples she was shooting. It actually made me feel like I knew who they were! This personal touch showed me how much commitment she had to her couples, and I was really excited to work with her.
Throughout the entire process, Brea always collaborated with us, answered any and every question we had (which at times, was a lot!), and made us feel like old friends. She was able to recommend a perfect spot for our engagement session just based on a few descriptors we gave her, and she made us feel at ease when the weather on our big day wasn't quite what we had hoped for. Even in the overcast and rain, her pictures came out unbelievable, and she made us feel so at ease. Spending the day with her was great!
Brea's easy going personality made working with her so effortless, and her photos are absolutely GORGEOUS! What was amazing too was that just hours after our engagement session, as well as our wedding, she sent us some "sneak peeks" of the photos she had taken. It was so exciting to see how beautiful everything turned out so quickly! Not to mention, her return time with out photos was impeccable. We had our entire collection of wedding photos less than 2 weeks after our wedding! As I said before, her blog where she posts some of photos from the day is such a great feature because both her pictures and her writing tell the story of the day. It was great to send the link out to all of our friends and family so they could see the pictures right away. Brea even waited to post on her blog until after we returned from our honeymoon, so we could see the pictures before anyone else. With our package, we were able to get all of the digital files, plus she setup a photography registry for us that people could give us gifts towards which was GREAT since we had been living together for a few years and didn't really need any of the traditional shower or wedding gifts. Brea is an amazing photographer, as well as a great person, and we are so lucky we got to work with her!
