My husband and I had much to celebrate this past week in the Big Island Hawaii. The most special was our renewal of wedding vows of 25 years. Along with us were two other couples of long time friends that also renewed their vows as well. Glen was the photographer and was excellent. Not only was he able to capture our celebration as a group, but he also managed to capture each couple individually making for beautiful photos of private moments during the ceremony. Our son, wife and granddaughter along with other friends were witness to ceremony and he also was able to include them in some of the photos. Truly beautiful photos that will be treasured for a lifetime of memories. Thank you Glen for your amazing talent.

Lots of photos! Great moments to remember our special day. The weather was not as great, really windy so with what we had to work with I thought our photos were wonderful. He is quick and accommodates with whatever you need. I would definitely recommend Glen and I will be using him when we go back to renew our vows! THANK YOU Glen:)!

I highly recommend Glen for any event photography. Glen took our engagement photos. I am super happy with the results. Glen was very nice to work with, very organized, creative and quick in giving us our photos (in less than 2 days). He is flexible and knows nice places in Hawaii for photo shoot. He suggests great poses and also recreates photos that we show to him as samples. The price is also reasonable. Glen was super easy and accommodating. Hindsight being 20/20, there were probably some pictures that we would have liked that he didn't take, but that was our fault for not asking. price was right and the turnaround for getting the pictures back was super quick. Easy recommendation.

Glen is a fantastic choice for any photography needs. He was very responsive from the beginning, helped me choose an officiant, was prompt, took LOTS of photos, provided us with a CD of over 300 pictures (for a 1 hour ceremony). Not only all that, but you can tell he loves what he does. He was very enthusiastic and outgoing the entire time. He made the whole event more enjoyable. Very nice guy. highly recommended.

Glen was the photographer for our wedding on the Big Island in Hawaii last Sunday. Not only is he a talented artist, but he is fun to work with. He had our photos ready for us to pick up on DVD two days after our wedding! We are very pleased with our photos and the excellent service Glen provided.

Glen was a fantastic photographer for our beach wedding. He was there when we arrived and was great in showing us where we needed to be positioned for the best shots. He also went out of his way to have our photos printed and given to us before we left the Island a few days later. Glen was a perfect choice for our wedding photographer. He couldn't of done a better job. My partner and i just had a small wedding at a private rental property and wanted someone snap a few pictures to remember the special day. In an hour, Glen managed to capture over 450 photos of us, our family, and friends. It was an incredible value for what he charged us. When it was time for renewing their contract, Welker wanted more money than the budget allowed. Brady said Welker could have some of his salary. Bill Bilichick, Patriot Coach, said no. He said Welker heart was not in the game. It is focus on the money. Welker now plays for Denver Bronchos with the same salary that the Patriots originally offered. Glen is like Brady. His heart is the game. He would take the pictures just to play. If you need an expense photographer, go some where else. If you want pictures, ask your quest. My husband and I got married on the beach on the Big Island of Hawaii 10 years ago and Glen was our photographer. From the moment I contacted him about setting up a date for our destination wedding he was outstanding to work with! We emailed occasionally before we arrived in Hawaii and talked when we arrived to confirm times and date. He was easy to schedule with and does know so many people around the island that can help you with your wedding planning! From the moment we arrived on the beach, he was there, ready for us. We ended the night with a private family meal at the Hilton in which Glen stayed, was part of our family and continued the photographic journey. April 23rd 2013, Glen Dohie took the most beautiful Photo's of my Daughter, her Husband and their son. We had a beautiful wedding at Honokohau harbor on the beach by the water. His photo shoot was precious and will always be cherished. His calm presence and smiley demeanor helped to keep the party at ease. I first met Glen via FB, it was his photographic flare that led me to the wedding officiant. Both were like a gelled team. I became a friend of Glen via FB and got to see his work over some 8 months building up to our wedding. In this time Glen even helped me find a make-up and hair stylist. The day of the wedding was dull and overcast...... but not the photographs. Far from it they were brilliant, vibrant and well exposed indeed. We were married on a Saturday and had a disc of +500 shots by the Tuesday. Glen is very professional and funny with it. I think he is also now a friend as he had such a magnetising personality. Glen is personal friend of ours that we've known since 1987. He took our wedding photos over 25 years ago....before the digital age! Glen Dohie is truly a savior! With a botched, to say the least, first wedding on the Big Island, HI in 2005 my husband and I decided to renew our vows on August 18, 2013, in hopes of erasing every bad memory of the first ceremony. I was hesitant to plan and book vendors from so far away again, but I let God take the wheel, so to speak, and set out about planning our special day. Glen came with wonderful reviews from the minister that performed our original ceremony and, as we loved him so much, we started our photography search with Photography By Glen per his suggestion. Other photographers were researched, but none of the other sites seemed to offer what we wanted or were so overpriced that they would never be in the running. Photography by Glen had an ample library to review, reviews were on point, he presented himself as down to earth and laid back and was the ONLY photographer to call us back! We exchanged several emails and phone calls over the next eight months before our ceremony and each time I needed a question answered I always started with Glen; even when the questions were completely out of his photography expertise. He was so willing to help and I used almost every vendor he suggested! He knows his stuff and can be trusted...and we haven't even started to talk about his greatest talent...PHOTOGRAPHY! There is something very special about Glen Dohie. He just has a great sense of knowing who you are. We finally met in person the day of the ceremony on a beach that he photographs on often and it was like we had known each other forever. He walked us through the site and asked if we had any special shot requirements and then gave an outline of how we would proceed. He picked a beautiful spot for our vows and the resulting pictures were amazing! He was invisible before and during the ceremony and he captured some of our sweetest moments and we did not even know he was there! Sunsets on the Big Island are spectacular, but Glen's pictures made even me more beautiful than those amazingly beautiful sites! On our most recent trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, Glen did a photo shoot for our wedding vow renewal (a surprise to my wife) at Old Kona Airport State Park. It was a sunset ceremony that provided a gorgeous backdrop to this occasion. I first contacted Glen by email which he promptly replied to that provided all the details of his services. I then spoke with Glen by phone (from the Chicago Area), to etch things in stone. I called him upon arrival to the Kona area to confirm that all was good to go. On the day of the ceremony, Glen was scouting the site location prior to our arrival. He had the instinct to not approach us (keeping the surprise) until my wife was distracted with the scenery, then I told him it was us and that the surprise was still on. Our photo shoot was a total of an hour and included the ceremony itself as well as several photos that told a storyline all the way to sundown. He provided us with a DVD and all the photos that we were free to copy without having to go through him once we left the island. He even included a blank photo album for us to put together with all of our favorites. We just looked at all the photos of which we are very pleased with each and every one. We were married November 9, 2013 and Glen Dohie was our photographer. He provided over 300 photos and they were everything we had hoped for and more. He is very easy-going, creative, and knowledgeable about how to get the best photos. He is personable and truly seems to enjoy what he does. If we had to do it all over, there would be no hesitation to have him photograph our wedding again. Glen Dohie is an extraordinary photographer! Not only did he have great energy to do the job, but his positivity was contagious. For me, as the bride, that was a huge help on my big day! We got our picture DVD's very quickly and Glen was able to capture the love and life that filled our day! Glen was recommended by the officiant I hired and I am glad we used his services. He was friendly, confirmed everything and got to our wedding location before us. He took tons of photos and made us both feel great about being in the spotlight even though neither of us were used to it. A few days later he dropped off a CD at our hotel with all the pictures (which were already edited so they are all good) so we can share them online and get prints and albums made.

We renewed our wedding in 2012 in Kona Hawaii and I found Glen through google listing. I choose him primarily because he was a good fit for my budget but I was later amazed at the quality of work I received with the photos he took of my family. We got quality pictures without paying a lot of money for it. I recommend his services to anyone who is looking for a talented photographer in the Kona area.

We were given so many pictures at a great price. There was no down-time which I loved. Glen knew what locations/poses to use ahead of time. My favorite picture is us laying on the grass at the end of our session.

Easy to work with although he is high energy he made the process feel very laid back. We wanted him to shoot film but I believe he works with digital as well.
