I love shooting wedding because they blend the two photography genres that I’m passionate about: storytelling through candid, documentary-style photos and creating whimsical, artistic images that are colorful, fresh, timeless, and full of personality. My goal is to create a wedding gallery from your day that’s full of vibrant, personality-packed photos you absolutely LOVE. From early on in the process Jill was great to work with! I was able to share a pinterest board with her with the style we were looking for and she delivered! She took the time to chat with us beforehand to make sure we were all on the same page with what we wanted. She also went and scouted our venues and a few other places for photo ops! She had a smile on her face all day long and was so great to work with. My husband and I don't love being in front of the camera but she made us feel so comfortable and it shows in her work. I'm so happy she was able to capture such a special day - we'll have her work hanging on our walls for years to come. Our family and friends have all commented on how much they love the photos - especially the number of candid shots she snuck in! We can't recommend Jill enough!

Jill really did feel like a part of the family by the end of our wedding. She was very hard-working, upbeat, great with the kids, made us laugh & feel comfortable during the posed group photos and had such a fabulous artistic eye for some fun bride and groom portraits. I mean WOW! We are so glad we hired her based off a recommendation from a friend. She was worth every penny and more. We will forever love all the photos she gave us (and she gives you a lot!!) She also told us that if we wanted genuine candids of the two of us to make sure we stick by each-other’s sides for the reception. It was such great advice that hopefully now I am passing on to you! (You’d think this would be obvious but when you’re actually at your wedding EVERYONE wants to talk to you and it is so easy to be separated for much of the reception.) Something you wouldn’t usually think about because it all goes so fast! She had quite a few helpful pointers that helped make the day fun and easy! Thanks so much Jill - you were such a leader that day and made it so easy for us to relax!!

Amazing photos! Amazing work ethic. She was on her feet working hard not missing a thing for our entire 10 hour wedding event! Her photos were absolutely incredible. We don’t have enough space on our wall! Too many to choose from! I plan to hire her for all our future photos as a family! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jill with Shine On Photos is amazing. She is so kind and nice, and is committed to getting the best pictures possible. She will direct you and help ease any awkwardness with the photoshoot. My fiance and I are not the best in front of a camera, and she helped us pose and get the most authentic photos possible.

Jill is an excellent photographer who captured beautiful pictures of our engagement and wedding. Jill is extremely easy to work with, is professional, and responds promptly to any questions that come up along the way. She made a point to ask us numerous questions about our vision so that she could begin planning. Our goal was to have a more casual feel with limited “posed” photographs and Jill delivered. While Jill was an integral part of our day, she remained virtually unnoticed as she captured special moments between us and our guests. Jill’s keen eye good lightning, love and laughter really shined through in all the pictures. We were able to view a sample of the wedding photos the next day which was a complete surprise. Our wedding photos are beautiful and truly captured the essence of our special day! She is a fantastic photographer, and we highly recommend her for your special day!

Jill is great and such a fun person to be around! We are not very "natural" photo subjects, so having Jill there talking with us and directing us made it super comfortable and easy. The photos we got were great and we had so much fun doing it we didn't even realized how much the time flew by! She was very professional the whole time and it shows in the quality of her photos. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

We absolutely loved Jill capturing our wedding on the cliffs of Lake Michigan. I talked with Jill a few times before our wedding to help ease my stress of getting all the photos we would need at our ceremony. She gave helpful tips on how to streamline the process and we were able to get all the photos we needed! Jill had excellent communication and she felt like family at the ceremony. We considered many photographers for our special day before hiring Jill and Shine on photos and could not be more pleased with our decision. We provided Jill with a list of photos we absolutely wanted to have. Additionally, having seen Jill's creativity from photos on her website we asked her to use her creative lens to capture non posed moments from throughout our wedding. Before, day off, and afterwards, communication with Jill has been seamless; she is very responsive, easy to talk with and went out of her way to capture amazing photos for us. Jill is fun, energetic and an amazing photographer. We cannot recommend Jill and Shine on Photos more highly. Based on our experience, this should be one of the easy decisions you make for your special day!

Our wedding memories were captured beautifully! The angles, lighting, filters has me wondering how she does it! There are few photos I cherish more than the ones Jill captured on my wedding day.
