Hi, I'm Jill 👋🏼 I've been photographing weddings for 13+ years. In that time I've learned that the photos that couples treasure most are the candids... the bride + groom cry-laughing at her dad's speech. Dad kissing the bride just before walking her down the aisle. The way mom looks at the groom through tears during their dance. Grandma taking iPhone photos like it's her job. Also, I know having a camera pointed at you can feel a little weird - honestly - it does for me too! So I do my best to keep the photography part of your day fun and natural. We will do the posed group photos of course (if that's on your list) but the rest of the day and night will be captured in a naturally editorial, story-driven way. A little about me and my business: - I live in Brookfield, WI and I am a full-time professional photographer. - I am a multi-year recipient of The Knot Best of Weddings, WeddingWire Couples' Choice, and Best of Zola. - I take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets my full attention. - That said, 2026 is fully booked, and 2027 is about 50% full. - I personally photograph every wedding. - I also bring one of my two assistants to every wedding. They are experts at hauling gear, fixing flyaways, fluffing dresses, wrangling people, and handling all the unplanned little details. - I have several second shooters and an incredibly talented videographer on my team who are available as add-ons. - You can find my full rate card on my web site. - When it fits, I love incorporating film, Super 8, and drone coverage. - I love being creative and taking totally unique photos of your day. I want you to LOVE your photos. I want you to say "that's SO us!" when you see them. The end products: - Sneak peek within a week or less - Photos/videos delivered to you in 4-6 weeks depending on the season. - You will receive all of the edited photos as digital files in full resolution with permission to print anywhere you choose. And.. it will be a lot of photos! - I also offer optional print and album packages. - If you hire me, you instantly become part of my "wedding family." We will do Google Meets, check-in's, planning sessions... I will be there to consult you as you create your timeline, pick your group photo locations, and maybe even pick a sneaky + private spot for the two of you to watch the sunset. You will receive follow up gifts, hand written anniversary cards and a lifelong discount for any future photoshoots.     Hello! I am a professional full time photographer living in Brookfield, WI. I am a wife to Patrick and a mom of 2 boys - Cy and Arlo. We also have a new puppy named Reggie. I went to college at UW Madison. Before becoming a full time photographer, I worked in advertising at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the St Paul Pioneer Press. I enjoy reading, going up north to the family cabin, pilates, downhill skiing and volunteering in my community. I know photography is my "job" but it is also my favorite hobby!

table and at ease — something that meant a lot to me as someone who was nervous about being in front of the camera. Jill was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, patiently answering all our questions and helping us figure out the perfect photo timeline for the day. On the wedding day itself, she brought such a calm and confident energy that helped everything flow naturally. What really stood out was how seamlessly she captured all those beautiful, candid moments — the laughter, the quiet glances, the small interactions that make the day so special. I was initially worried about the “posed” photos feeling stiff, but Jill made them fun and relaxed — and most of our favorite shots ended up being unposed, authentic moments that she somehow caught perfectly. Even my father, who is notoriously particular and has been a wedding photographer himself for decades, had nothing but praise for her — he actually complimented her photography style (which never happens!). Our photos are absolutely stunning — timeless, full of emotion, and beautifully composed. Jill has an incredible eye for detail and light, and she truly knows how to tell the story of the day through her images. We feel so lucky to have found her and will cherish these photos forever. We had met Jill when she photographed our friend's amazing and very large wedding, so we knew just how talented she was. We never thought she would be available or even interested in our intimate and short timeframe. Not only was she available and interested, she outperformed our wildest expectations. She treated us like royalty and made us feel like we were to most special couple she had ever worked with. We are thrilled to have her beautiful photographs to look back on to relive the joy, sacredness and presence of that amazing day. She even sent us a short video as a surprise and a few polarods in magnet frames to hang on our refrigerator. Thank you Jill for being part of our wedding and for capturing the love that we felt from and for each other and from and for all of our guests. ay are without a doubt some of the most magical photographs we have ever seen. The whole team took the time to really listen and understand what was important to us about our event, and they went out of their way to make sure they delivered something better than we could have imagined. Jill's eye for photographic composition is unmatched, and her effort, hard work, and dedication to getting a great photo show not only while she is working but also in the final product. The assistant who was with her on the day of, Crystal, created the most magical detail photos of our rings, invitations, flowers, etc., and she helped greatly with getting us both where we needed to be for our first look photos and couple portraits. Both Jill and Crystal also brought incredible personalities to the wedding, they were fun, enjoyable to be around, full of smiles and laughter, and engaged in the wedding itself, all while maintaining professionalism and producing fantastic photos. Jess, who was our main contact via email leading up to the wedding, was efficient, sweet, professional, and really made me feel heard during my wedding planning. I am a former wedding coordinator, and have met with and worked with quite a few photographers at weddings, and I have to say my experience with Jill and her team has been top-notch. They exceeded my expectations around every turn.

I have tried to write this review several times through the year and it has yet to properly save. Let that be a testament to my appreciation for Jill - nearly a year later and I am...
still convicted to sing her praises.  From the beginning she was so helpful and asked questions we hadn’t thought of. Shortly before our wedding, we shared with her that we would be surprising our Moms with the news we were pregnant. Without missing a beat, Jill enthusiastically pivoted our plans. Our wedding was SMALL (bride, groom, our mothers, the officiant, and our dog).  Jill made sure to give take quality, sincere shots of all of us. She really understood how much this intimate moment meant to us. And, of course, she understood that Pongo, our dog, was the real star!  I cannot say enough positive things about Jill. If we were closer in proximity, we would have her take pics of every single event. She really understood the venue and how beautiful of a venue that was. We wed at the WI Capitol. It’s been almost a year and the four of us attendees still gush about her, not only as a photographer, but also as a person!  She strikes the perfect balance of professional and friendly. She easily but wholeheartedly enhanced our entire day adding to the lowkey vibe we really wanted.

she cared to make our vision come to life without fail. We didn't want hundreds of over filtered photos, but real quality shots capturing each moment so we could fully be present at our wedding. Jill & her team surely delivered! I even had one of our guests tell me, "your photos are gonna come out great! the videographer even climbed a tree to get a shot; now that's dedication." I couldn't even tell where they were all night, but they made the busiest day feel calm. Sneak peek shots were ready to preview right away (next day!) She also offers a customizable album/prints for purchase. It will take us a while to pick which full resolution pictures we love most because they are honestly ALL keepers. If one picture is worth a thousand words, Photography by Jill and her team did a thoroughly superlative job telling our story. 🤍

do you know that will send your pics in different links (a highlights link for family/close friends, AND a separate link with all of the images for you and your spouse to go through and keep private?! I LOVED that because we all know Mom was excited to see the results.) She answered all of my questions quickly and kindly, never made me feel dumb/inexperienced or anything less than amazing. She made sure we were 100% comfortable the whole time - and somehow captured some of the most authentic and joyful images of us that I have ever had taken. I HIGHLY recommend Jill!!

We couldn’t be happier that we chose Jill to be our wedding photographer. We knew we wanted someone to more accurately capture our day (did NOT want to have over-exposed, filtered ...
looking photos or the hoaky, staged vibes) and her journalistic approach to her photography in combination with her joyful energy was PERFECT for us. We asked for a video chat prior to booking to go over some questions and concerns we had regarding the day and knew very quickly she was going to be the right fit for us. Given we both have a passion for photography ourselves, we greatly appreciated her expertise in a wide variety of elements (from bright, natural light to dark, interior spaces) and her realistic approach, which, alongside her experience and artistic vision led to crisp, beautiful photos representing us and our day. We also booked an engagement shoot with her, which we loved, as her bubbly personality immediately puts you at ease and allows you to get a sense of how to really be yourself in photos while still making them feel special. She was responsive and easy to communicate with through the whole process, really making the entire experience feel personal, and our wedding day was all that and even more fun. For the first part of the day she brought an assistant, Anney, with her, who was another ray of sunshine to work with to be a second set of hands, and we worked with Jill to hire a second shooter, Leiden, for a few hours later, who was wonderful as well. Jill being down-to-earth but also friendly and outgoing felt like the perfect combo so that we didn’t feel stressed throughout the day, but also that we could approach her with whatever our thoughts were. So many of our guests said (and keep saying) how much THEY also loved being around her at our event too. We legitimately got some amazing photos back of certain guests that we hardly EVER see smile for photos, which was just more proof how infectious her positive energy is and how great she is at what she does. We ended up with a ton of truly spectacular photos from our wedding for what we thought was a fair price, and that we got back in a very reasonable amount of time, all of which she takes the time and care to edit herself without making them look fake, filtered, or overly manipulated. I can’t overstate how much we loved having Jill as our wedding photographer and the way she perfectly captured us and our wonderful day.

group photos and had such a fabulous artistic eye for some fun bride and groom portraits. I mean WOW! We are so glad we hired her based off a recommendation from a friend. She was worth every penny and more. We will forever love all the photos she gave us (and she gives you a lot!!) She also told us that if we wanted genuine candids of the two of us to make sure we stick by each-other’s sides for the reception. It was such great advice that hopefully now I am passing on to you! (You’d think this would be obvious but when you’re actually at your wedding EVERYONE wants to talk to you and it is so easy to be separated for much of the reception.) Something you wouldn’t usually think about because it all goes so fast! She had quite a few helpful pointers that helped make the day fun and easy! Our goal was to have a more casual feel with limited “posed” photographs and Jill delivered. While Jill was an integral part of our day, she remained virtually unnoticed as she captured special moments between us and our guests. Jill’s keen eye good lightning, love and laughter really shined through in all the pictures. We were able to view a sample of the wedding photos the next day which was a complete surprise. From early on in the process Jill was great to work with! I was able to share a pinterest board with her with the style we were looking for and she delivered! She took the time to ...
chat with us beforehand to make sure we were all on the same page with what we wanted. She also went and scouted our venues and a few other places for photo ops! She had a smile on her face all day long and was so great to work with. My husband and I don't love being in front of the camera but she made us feel so comfortable and it shows in her work. I'm so happy she was able to capture such a special day - we'll have her work hanging on our walls for years to come. Our family and friends have all commented on how much they love the photos - especially the number of candid shots she snuck in! We can't recommend Jill enough!
