I just received my wedding photos, 8 weeks after my wedding, and I can’t even begin to tell you -- go hire Shauna (Du Jour Photography) right now!!! I knew the final product would be great from the 70 photos she sent immediately (the DAY after the wedding! incredible!) but it was amazing to see the final product. From the very beginning, she was so amazing to work with. We had a zoom call to talk about my expectations for the day, and looking at the final catalog, she absolutely nailed it. She was professional through and through, put my husband and me at ease, and handled our large family with efficiency and FUN! You spend a LOT of time with your photographer on the wedding day (and we had her for our welcome party, too) so you really need to like her. And Shauna is impossible not to like! I’m so happy that we found her (referred by a friend) and that my day was captured so incredibly beautifully. Thank you, Shauna!!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Shauna over the past year and were lucky enough to have her cover our engagement photo session, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. On top of being incredibly professional, she is one of the sweetest people ever! Her eye for details and lighting is absolutely spectacular, and she really took the time to understand our vision for the day. Her timeline and professionalism helped us to stay on track with photos during the day -- she was a very calming presence during our first look, and was able to perfectly capture all of our special moments. She also worked with our wedding coordinator, venue, and other vendors to make sure everything was perfect for the wedding day. My husband and I got married this past October and had the pleasure of both Crystal and Blake photographing our wedding. I was initially drawn to the classic yet modern elements in their portfolios and knew they would capture photos that would be timeless. I did my initial meeting with Shauna and she exceeded my expectations with how thorough and thoughtful she was with everything. She brought up things for our wedding day I hadn’t even thought of and all of her recommendations helped the day go so smoothly. My husband and I are both active duty military and we took advantage of the free mini engagement shoot with Crystal. Neither of us had a lot of experience with professional photography but she made the experience so enjoyable and really made us excited for taking photos the day of our wedding. The day of the wedding Crystal and Blake were really great at keeping us on schedule while still allowing the day to flow organically. They worked really well together and their stylistic differences gave us an amazing portfolio of both candid and posed shots. We are so grateful we had the whole team at Photography Du Jour play a part of our wedding day. The pictures turned out absolutely incredible and I can’t recommend them enough!

I wish I could give 10 stars for Photography Du Jour! Shauna and her team were absolutely AMAZING at our September wedding. I first saw her at my friends wedding a few years ago and fell in love with their photos and how she captured their day. Shauna truly went above and beyond, recreated the most ideal timeline for sunset/evening photos, kept us at ease, all while making us laugh so we'd enjoy the day even more. Shauna was just amazing. She captured absolutely beautiful moments of the day! She was professional, sweet and so kind to my family, friends and other vendors (even helping our new to the industry videographer on tricks and tips!) It was probably the coldest day in winter and I Was determined to have outdoor photos and ceremony, she did it all with a smile and incredible positive attitude 😊. She was able to get all my crazy family and friends corralled for group photos and got the kids to smile! She made us look fabulous! My album will probably be 1500 pictures long because I love them all. Such an amazing gift to be able to relive that day with such incredible images.

We could not have chosen a better photographer to capture our wedding day. We booked Shauna 3 years ago. When covid postponed our wedding 3 times, Shauna was so flexible, understanding and caring. We cannot thank Shauna enough for capturing some magazine worthy photos, as well as all the fun little moments in between. Shauna took photos for our engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding and hiring her was the best decision we could have made! Taking photos isn't typically my husband's favorite thing but Shauna made it fun, short, and still captured every single moment and more than we could have ever wished for. I do not typically write online reviews, but felt particularly compelled to share how amazing Shauna (and Blake!!) was for our wedding day. It is very difficult to find a high quality yet down-to-earth photographer like Shauna in DC. Shauna has SUCH an artistic eye and we were absolutely THRILLED with how our pictures turned out! We had our wedding at a venue where some of our friends and family had been married in the past, and Shauna was able to find spaces and angles that provided us with unique pictures. Cannot recommend PDJ enough!

We had Shauna as the photographer for our wedding and could not be happier with our photos! Shauna has an amazingly artistic eye for photography. She’s a joy to work with and goes out of her way to create outstanding images. Our wedding was the third time we have worked with Shauna. We highly recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer. Shauna and her team are so talented, polished, and just wonderful to be around. We picked her because her photos were amazing and we loved working with her even from just a quick Zoom call – and we weren’t disappointed. From the moment I met Shauna, it felt like I was meeting a long lost best friend. She is personable, warm, and so talented. She listened and took notes of all my likes, dislikes, hopes, and family drama (what's a wedding without family drama right?) and gave amazing recommendations for how to prepare for wedding day photos; she is so thorough. As a not so confident bride, she made me feel relaxed and beautiful on my wedding day. Despite feeling a little silly doing some of the poses, she has an incredible eye for specular shots and I trusted her completely. The moment I got my pictures from Shauna, I was in tears, they were even more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Hiring Shauna and her team was the absolute best thing I did for my wedding.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I was so blown away by Photography du Jour that I decided to leave them on every platform I could! I eloped during Covid and missed out on great wedding pics. So when my dress finally came I knew I wanted to find the perfect vendor to capture what we missed. I found Shauna just via Instagram, and she was that perfect vendor from start to finish. Shauna set up a call with me to talk through exactly what I wanted (we even talked about my dress style and how to best shoot it). I wanted to shoot on the National Mall during peak bloom at the cherry blossoms , which is notoriously busy and stressful (but so pretty). Shauna was experienced, professional, and helped us plan the perfect shoot. During the shoot, she kept my dress and hair looking perfect even though it was 40 degrees out and SUPER windy. We make it to over 5 different spots in really short time (she was so fast!) and she had the best eye for what would look excellent in photos (locations, angles and photos). She helped us with posing so that we felt natural and looking our best, and overall just made the process so comfortable. She got sneak peaks back to us that same night and we were stunned at how beautiful the shots were taken and edited. It was a dream. Cannot recommend her highly enough!!!

Ok, Shauna was SO highly recommended by my vendor I was soooo excited she was available for my date. I literally cannot say enough about Shauna and her team - the spots she took us to for stellar shots, her personality (seriously, love her), they ran to get my wedding rings DURING the ceremony because I forgot to grab them after photos, I could seriously go on.

Shauna and her assistant Blake were amazing to work with! We shot our engagement photos with her in DC and she truly captures the most beautiful photos. We loved how the photos did not feel forced and that she thought of ways to capture our love through natural interactions. We are so grateful that we had Shauna as our photographer for our wedding. She is an incredibly gifted photographer who captured such beautiful images from our wedding day. She made me feel comfortable, and as someone who is notoriously awkward on camera, it was easy to listen to her direction. From the first interview with Shauna, we knew we had found the perfect photographer! She has a very kind and disarming personality that puts even the most photo-adverse fiancée at ease. We were also especially impressed at how thorough her back up equipment and contingency plans were (and this was pre-Covid)! Shauna is truly an artist and we could not be happier with our photos. She was very flexible at accommodating our requests, while also providing invaluable input on composition and posing for photographs. Highly recommend her for your photography needs!!

Shauna was highly recommended by close friends who hired her for their wedding, and my husband and I are so happy we took their advice. Shauna was everything we could hope for in a wedding photographer and wedding vendor. She was an absolute delight to work with, very responsive and flexible and just so incredibly nice! Neither my husband or I are terribly comfortable being photographed, and she made the whole process so easy and fun -- despite the FREEZING cold weather. She thought of everything and took advantage of what was thrown at us -- in particular, the WIND, capturing some of our favorite photos with my veil flowing beautifully! Shauna deserves a million star review! My husband and I are typically kinda awkward in our couple photos but Shauna pulled something out of us to create incredible memories for us. We did not have very many demands, and in turn, Shauna could let her creative freedom go wild. I felt like she was excited and loving everything which made us that much more comfortable in front of the camera. She gave great direction on poses and what to do. She scouted out all the areas she wanted to explore and we hit them all. Not only is her work amazing, Shauna was a great human to be around and share our day with. I still find myself staring at all the images and it helps me remember the day after it being such a blur.

Shauna was a joy to work with. We gave her a list of photos that didn't make her job easy and she worked with us to capture our guests in the beauty we see them. We loved the inventive engagement photos in the snow and sparkler writing at the end of the night.

Shauna is such a talented photographer and a genuinely wonderful person! My husband and I are extremely awkward in front of the camera but Shauna and her assistant made us feel so comfortable and kept us laughing the entire time. We loved Shauna and her team. She did our Engagement and Wedding photos, and they were all amazing. She is very efficient and delivers high quality photos. We were nervous about having enough time for family photos and other special photos before the cocktail hour, but she and Crystal were so great and got everything done with plenty of time for us to go greet our guests. The photos were delivered to us in a timely manner, which was an extra bonus. So many of our friends talked highly about our photographers at the wedding. Shauna was the best photographer we could have asked for. She and her co-photographer, Crystal, were extremely professional and took beautiful photographs. I cannot say enough great things about Shauna and her team! We had to engage Shauna with a little more than 2 months to go before our wedding due to a different photographer bailing out on us, and she got up to speed with the high demands we had for our pictures quickly! My lawyer husband was very impressed with her savvy in allaying our concerns about the photos and her quick responses to all our questions, which really reassured me that she would do an amazing job at the wedding. Fast forward to our wedding day - Shauna was simply AMAZING!!! We have a lot of personalities in our family and she managed everyone with such ease and grace. My mom commented that Shauna made it seem like our wedding was the most important and beautiful event she had ever seen— She’s so professional and savvy! She really listened to what my husband and I wanted for photos and gave us great tips too as we went! She and her team showed me some photos as we went along and I cannot wait to see the rest. She sent us a sneak peak at our request and I cried it was so beautiful. We don’t yet have all the pictures, but I know the rest will be amazing and our family will be so pleased!

Shauna was such a joy to work with! Our wedding venue was Silverbrook Farm (where she is a preferred vendor), so she gave us a complimentary engagement photo shoot in addition to the wedding day pictures. She was super responsive and flexible when we were trying to schedule our engagement photos around other plans that same day. Neither my husband or I am very comfortable in front of the camera, but Shauna kept things moving, was really positive, and never dwelled too long on a given pose. This was a huge relief as we had both had a bad experience with a photographer at our friends’ wedding who was really pushy and didn’t make us feel comfortable at all. She was really efficient and made it a totally painless process. The engagement photos came out amazing and made us even more excited for our big day! When the wedding day came Shauna and her assistant got right to work getting photos of both myself and my bridesmaids as well as the groom and groomsmen getting ready. She was able to get all the crucial family pictures we wanted in a short period of time before the ceremony (seriously impressive given how many people had to be wrangled) and pulled us aside briefly during the reception for some sunset pictures. And she did it all with a huge smile and upbeat vibe! Would recommend her to anybody looking for a photographer in the DMV area. Thank you, Shauna!

Wow!! Where to start? Shauna was WONDERFUL!! I am so glad I found her! Out of all the choices out there on the internet, it can be daunting trying to decide who to choose for one of the most important aspects of your wedding day. I happen to have an interest in photography myself, and am extremely particular when it comes to quality of work. I knew that I was not willing to compromise for my wedding images. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event, and I wanted my pictures to be stunning. After very careful consideration and extensively reviewing Photography du Jour's website, I contacted Shauna. She responded immediately, and even offered me a discount, as I was having a very small, intimate, weekday wedding of around 20 people. Shauna was very friendly, and professional throughout the entire process, and I couldn't have been more pleased when I met her in person on the day of my wedding. She did an incredible job, and my pictures are absolutely beautiful! You can tell they were taken by a TRUE professional. Shauna did a wonderful job on both my bridal portraits and on my wedding pictures. I am by no means a model and Shauna helped guide me through great poses for the pictures. We got a bunch of wonderful shots. For the wedding, she captured all of the pictures we wanted plus some. On top of that the edited images were fantastic. On top of that she is super personable!

Photography Du Jour absolutely exceeded our expectations - not only on the day of the wedding, but in meticulous pre-wedding planning and post-wedding delivery. We were recommended Photography Du Jour through our site representatives, and we are forever grateful. Shauna and her team worked with us (at our pace and convenience) prior to the wedding to ensure that they would capture the moment in way that we wanted. On the day of the wedding they arrived early and were set-up and taking pictures before we even realized - providing us with some very nice natural pictures. The pictures of the wedding and reception were great - we really didn't notice them during the event (except when we stepped away for our separate pictures) yet they captured everything perfectly. Shauna and her team were just great to work with - during our individual and couple pictures they were extraordinarily professional yet also humorous - a winning combination. Photography Du Jour returned our pictures (touched up, in multiple formats) within a week (on-line) and then sent a very nice gift with the thumb drive version within 2 weeks - all of the pictures were re-touched and made available in color and B&W (and some had other artistic enhancements as well). All in all we were absolutely thrilled with Photography Du Jour and would recommend them without any hesitation!

The photographer was awesome to work with, delivered images in a timely manner and really captured the joy of the wedding day...what more can you ask for? Give her a call - you won't regret it!

We couldn't have been more pleased with Shauna and Photography du Jour. Everything was perfect, really. From the moment we met her at a mixer hosted by Silverbrook Farm to the day that the photos were delivered, she was responsive, professional, warm and friendly and an expert in her field. The photos captured the day and we have fond memories of having a great time through it all. We hired Photography Du Jour to capture our engagement and wedding photos. Shauna was professional and a pleasure to work with. Since Shauna had never photographed at our venue, the Carnegie Institution for Science, she went extra mile to meet us there before the wedding to become familiar with the venue's lighting and backdrop options. Shauna did a wonderful job photographing our wedding. From booking the date to meeting in person to discuss the vision and the timeline, Shauna was so easy to work with. She was so accommodating with driving into DC and was able to do portraits before the ceremony and after the reception, as we didn't have a cocktail hour. Not only that but she and her assistant Crystal helped with other tasks, such as bustling my dress and leading us through the cake cutting. It took a few weeks to get our pictures (sent via a flash drive, although some are posted early on the photography du jour Facebook page and blog) and we are so happy with them! Many photographers insists that you order pictures through them but not Shauna. Her rates are very reasonable for the service she provides. Most importantly, Shauna and Crystal are both so warm, friendly and caring. I'm so glad they were there for us on our wedding day.

Shauna did an amazing job of capturing our wedding. She always made us feel comfortable and her suggestions of how we should pose really worked out well. She definitely knows her stuff and was able to improvise to make the best out of the rainy conditions in the beginning. She also suggested that we should have a private meeting before the ceremony to give her opportunities to photograph us in a more intimate atmosphere, which led to some amazing pictures and also made the ceremony less overwhelming. Thanks Shauna for that advice. Some of the shots she took made us feel as if our pictures were taken straight out of a professional bridal magazine, so good she made us look! Overall we are extremely satisfied with the 1000 pictures Shauna gave us at the end and can highly recommend her to any couple that wants its wedding captured in all its glory. Shauna, and Photography Du Jour were more than we could have hoped for on our big day. Shauna is genuine, charismatic, and professional. She made the effort to get to know my husband and I as a couple before the wedding so that we would all be comfortable with each other the day of. From the second I met Shauna I knew I had to hire her to do my wedding photos. My husband and I went to look at a wedding venue and Shauna just happened to be there taking photos of another bride to be. I loved her personality, her sincerety, and her dedication to her work. The owner of the venue recommended her as well. My pictures turned out amazing! For the quality of the photos, I also believe Shauna's prices are very reasonable. Shauna from Photography du Jour captured our big day with the most amazing photographs. When I originally found her, she was booked for my date, but thankfully (for me) the other couple cancelled and we got her!! Shauna has been a pleasure to work with through the whole process. We loved her and her work at our original meeting, and were equally in love with our engagement pictures! She has amazing suggestions for places to take pictures if you don't have one in mind. She knew my husband and I are into visiting wineries, and it just so happens that her neighbor has a vineyard that she has access to. :) We had to work quickly to work with the perfect lighting we had, and she gave specific directions that were easy to follow and we got all of our shots in and they turned out perfect. On the wedding day, she was the same way and captured some amazing shots. She has great ideas on how to pose her clients, but also is very supportive if you have special requests of pictures you'd like taken. We wanted to get all of our pictures done before the ceremony (besides a few sunset shots), and she took control in a super sweet way and kept all of our crazy groomsmen in line to get everything done. Everyone at the wedding loved her! Through the whole process, Shauna was super responsive. She helped me pick out great pictures for our Save the Dates (from our engagement pictures) and for our Thank You cards (from our wedding pictures). Even paying her is easy...she has a great site set up to make it easy.

Shauna's pictures are unbelievably beautiful. I couldn't be happier with Shauna and her work. She is personable and friendly as well as professional and knowledgeable about her craft. She was great when it came to not only the wedding but also our engagement photo shoot. She was complimented directly by many of our guests, a few people not at the wedding have already asked me for her information so that they may use her in the future, and I intend to use her myself as much as possible.
