Hi, I'm Joel. I started Photokindred to chase the moments that matter, not the posed, polished stuff, but the honest in-between. The weird, beautiful flashes of emotion that tell the real story of your wedding day. I’m not here for perfection. I’m not chasing trends or golden-hour clichés. I’m here for the messy laugh during toasts, the tear you try to hide during vows, the way your people hold you close when you didn’t even ask. That’s what I’m looking for, and that’s what I’ll show you later, photographs that feel like the truth. My work is grounded in a documentary approach, sometimes called photojournalistic wedding photography. It’s emotional, unobtrusive, and rooted in connection. I only take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can stay fully present and give each couple the attention they deserve.
